Drinks: Earl Gray Latte and cortado. Food: Breakfast Burrito. Perhaps they had an off day. The earl gray latte was the only thing I could go for a round two. It was mild in flavor and not too sweet. The cortado... I sipped it and it was thick with a okralike slime feeling. I spat that out and threw it aaay. The breakfast burrito: The tortilla was so thick that I took two big bites of the burrito and was still eating tortilla. My nephew took a bite and he his face did this wrinkle and pushed it away. Bodhi leaf is one of my go-to coffee spots near my house. It's in a big plaza, so parking is always plentiful. They have a rather big inside, but it can still get pretty busy here. Service is always fine, but never anything beyond ordinary. They have notably good drinks here. They will usually have a seasonal menu with fun flavors/drinks that I usually go for. They have yummy cold foams and a VERY strong cold brew. In a good way. Actually one of the best cold brews I've had. I also love coming here for breakfast burritos with their green salsa! The green salsa is soooooo good, but it's usually a 50% chance they will be out of either the burrito of the salsa. Other than this consistency, I love visiting Bodhi Leaf! read more

Pretty good coffee place near the Clava sports center. A 12 oz latte is 5.25. The burritos are heated from frozen. I had one a while back and don't remember how it was. I guess it was neither great nor horrible. Today I got the avocado toast and it was pretty good. They don't skimp on the guacamole, and sprinkle red pepper flakes on top. Have tried this place several times. Love the decor and vibe of the place. Even worked here one time. They have free wifi. Service is good. Have tried their breakfast burrito, avocado toast, seasonal coffee, and iced tea. We've enjoyed their food. Enjoyed the iced tea and recently the banana bread latte. This specifically says "oat milk" on the menu. So didn't specify what milk I wanted as it says oat milk. However, I think they put regular milk. I've been to other locations which I believe was better. I happened to be near this location so I stopped in. Unfortunately for me, I got behind 1 family of 5 which took them forever to order. Omg!! I patiently waited and then it was my turn. Well the cashier went off to something else and made me wait even more. Finally, the other person took my order and then the person behind me -who was a regular I deducted. So instead of making my order, she decides to make more coffee or restock. Which should be done, after you make our drinks. Instead of making me wait even more. This was literally a 15min ordeal. I finally had to ask if she could just make my coffee bc I needed to leave. Bodhi Leaf is a super cute and quaint coffee shop that I visited while in area. I knew I wanted something other than your standard Starbucks. And I found this lovely place. When I walked in there were tons of people, all the tables were taken and only bar top seats were available. I ordered a vanilla latte. It was perfect temperature, smooth, the beans were also perfectly roasted. I sat at the bar and enjoyed my latte and people watched. This is definitely a place I would Visit again when visiting the Irvine, Lake Forest area. read more

I used to genuinely love this place and would go out of my way to stop in, but the last few visits have been really disappointing. It is uncomfortably hot inside, like, to the point where it's hard to even enjoy your drink. More than anything, I feel bad for the girls working behind the counter. They're stuck in that heat all day, and you can tell it's taking a toll. It honestly doesn't feel right supporting a business that isn't providing a basic, safe working environment for its employees. Until the AC situation is actually fixed and customers (and staff) can be comfortable, I won't be buying anything or coming back. I wish this place was closer so I could add it to my regular rotation. I love the lover's latte the most. It's seasonal but sometimes you'll find a barista willing to make it for you even when it's out of season. I've also enjoyed their chai. I've overall enjoyed everything I've had here. I am always on the lookout for new study spots, and this one was a great option. There is ample amount of seating in the spacious and open coffee shop. The floor to ceiling windows brought in all the natural light with a comfy, warm vibe. There are bathrooms, and there's a lot of parking in the plaza. The downside is there aren't many outlets for charging. The barista was kind enough to make me a drink that I saw on Yelp but wasn't on the menu anymore. I got an iced salted mocha matcha latte with soy milk. I am so happy that I got to try the salted mocha cream/foam because it was SO delicious! It tasted like a creamy hot chocolate and was so addicting! I also tried the grilled cheese. The sourdough flavor was strong, which I enjoyed. I do wish the bread was a little toastier. It didn't feel too greasy or heavy eating it, despite being filled with cheese! It's a large comfortable space with varying tables and seats including couches and lounge chairs. There is even a large outdoor space with lots of tables and chairs to sit and bring your dog. I think I was thrown off by the color of the drink since it was a muddy brown. Next time I'll probably ask for no mocha since it was very sweet for my liking and didn't like the way it made the drink look I did enjoy my loaded avocado toast! It had smashed avocado, arugula, prosciutto, lemon aioli and garnished with radish and lemon on top of a sourdough bread. It was super yummy but very messy to eat. Finally got a chance to visit here on a Wednesday afternoon, during lunch time. Love that the coffee spot is in the corner and there's parking spaces all around. As soon as I walked in, I noticed there were plenty of people sitting nice and comfy with their electronic devices, love that kind of vibe! Ordering was super easy and their menu isn't complicated. Appreciated that they have "this week's bar menu" but I decided for something cold and blended to lighten up the outside heat. Bodhi has some pretty cool wood tables of all shapes and sizes and it's very easy on the eyes, lots of wall decor that caught my eyes. It's plenty spacious and I can see how people can set up and work comfortably. Love that the restroom was clean with lots of room with some pretty cool decor! Love the little touches! You can tell Bodhi puts in their time and effort into their establishment. The blended caramel was delicious! Can definitely get the caramel taste which is one of my faves.
