We bought this Tiramisu cake and it was delicious! The balance of the airy cream, and the bitterness of the coffee was the perfect balance. What I like about Paris Baguette is that their desserts are not too sweet and are very light. You don't feel heavy at all when eating their desserts and pastries. I also like how Paris Baguette has great service. They provide a cake slicer and candles as well for the cake, which is very convenient and helpful. The packaging even includes a spot where you can strike the match. This is much smaller locale than the one off Culver in the Mitsuwa plaza and does not appear to be as well maintained nor as efficient. Arrived to order just two beverages which took about 20 minutes. Was looking to use a reward and the employee noted it had rung up but clearly it had not on the register so had to clarify with him again that the math did not match up. Couple caveats to this review - it was Easter Sunday and this was a one person show manning the cashier and handling the barista duties. Pretty sure this location just recently opened up because it is a mess.. sorry but I have to be honest. This franchise is a good one and if operating correctly it's a winner but if not it bad. The workers here are obviously not trained well. We watched 2 different customers get so fed up they set their trays down which were loaded with treats and they left. For me my sandwich was pretty bad due to the tomato's making the bread so soggy it was gross. The layout of the tables makes it very hard to get out once you have paid or eaten. Located in the twin peaks plaza is another gem of a Paris Baguette bringing Korean and French fusion together, to the quaint and quiet Lake forest. Off of El toro right next to the board and brew and ayce wagyu. The place is a large and spacious place inside able to accommodate 20 guests for the front and they even have a quiet back dining area perfect for college students on that study grind who like peace and quiet. Outside is just as nice with a full out door patio able to seat 30 guests. The bread display in the center of the island is the biggest and nicest one I've seen for a Paris Baguette. I was greeted by both Kevin and Eli two real outstanding individuals that provided excellent customer service. I had the smoked sausage bread and a custom ordered latte, which can be made at additional costs. The smoked sausage was nothing to write about juicy hot dog but the bread surrounding it was a little dry still good though. The latte was just the right amount of sweet but could've used more shots they serve Lavazza Italian brand. The cakes are just as good my favorite is the blueberry chiffon next time. I've been to a few Paris Baguette locations and it saddens me that one of the larger locations has the worst customer service and the worst pastry items. I came here to get a few treats and my usual Cream Cheese donut. The donut was over cooked and was so tough I couldn't eat it - I immediately tossed it. When I was ready to pay, there was a customer service rep who was counting money out of the drawer and didn't acknowledge us at all, not with a greeting, not to ask us to wait, not to get someone else to try and help us. It's like we were ghosts. When Matthew finally noticed us, he helped us with a major attitude. I asked to get 2 boxes and he said that he would if we ordered 5 items which we did and he still refused to get us 2 boxes. When he gave me the 2nd box he was really mean about it. I would avoid coming to this Paris Baguette. There are so many other bakeries in the area that have better pastry options and better customer service. read more

I've tried so many of their pastries, and most are either too sweet, poorly made, or straight out mediocre. The only one that keeps us coming back is their BLUEBERRY YOGURT CAKE. My hubby loves it that he requested it for his birthday cake. On my first visit at this location, I got three kinds of cake to try which were the TIRAMISU MASCARPONE CHEESECAKE, BLUEBERRY CHIFFON, and BLUEBERRY YOGURT. Except for the Blueberry Yogurt, the other two were too sweet. The Blueberry Chiffon was actually soft and moist, and it would be much better if they scale down a bit on its sweetness level. Same goes for the Tiramisu Mascarpone Cheesecake, and all their other cakes and pastries. I highly suggest and hope that they cut down on the sugar level of all their pastries and balance it out to make it tastier like real French pastries. The place has ample parking, nice and clean inside, and everyone at the counter is helpful, cordial, and polite. Overall, this place is great for birthday cakes. Their online ordering is also convenient and easy to use. Our family love their Blueberry Yogurt and I recommend giving it a try. read more

I love Paris baguette. And now there's one even closer to me in Lake Forest, it's trouble for me since I'll be going there frequently. It's a nice and clean location which has all the usual pastries and cake along with coffee, tea and refreshers. When I choose from the pastries I always try to go for anything that's new or different since I like trying new things. Also a balance of savory and sweet. They have ham and cheese bread which was really good and any of the croissant or pastries with custard cream is delicious here. Their espresso based drinks are always a win for me and also keep an out for their seasonal drinks. Service is friendly here, but more than all a great addition to the city as there are never enough bakeries in my opinion. read more

My parents enjoy slightly sweet Asian desserts so I had to order a cake for Mother's Day that wasn't super sweet. My mom requested some sort of coffee flavored cake so I went scouring the local bakeries for one. When I couldn't order one in advance from another bakery due to their terrible website, I found that I could order one from Paris Baguette. Paris Baguette is a well known South Korean bakery that has several locations (3500+) all over the world. The cappuccino cake was the perfect cake for us. I ordered it a few days in advance for pickup on Mother's Day. The nearest location was on El Toro and Rockfield, near the Home Depot shopping center. There used to be a location in Aliso Viejo, but sadly that location closed during the pandemic. I was happy to see that I didn't need to drive into Irvine for this location. There was a bit of confusion after entering and getting in line at the register. The person behind the counter asked me if I needed help and I let him know that I was picking up an online order. He asked me to pull up the order after asking for my name. I hadn't done that so I told him he could help someone else if he needed to see the order. Once I had the order pulled up, I got back in line to speak to the next cashier. He again asked for my name. I showed him my order. He then asked the person next to him (I guess his supervisor) and the supervisor ended up helping me. Again, I was asked for my name and I showed him the order. He looked in the front case and then said he needed to go to the back. After a few minutes, he emerged with the cake box in hand. He handed me one of their plastic spatula/cake cutters and we were on our way. By the way, the plastic spatula also had two matches encased inside for candles and sported the Paris Baguette logo. Very on brand. My husband was super impressed with the cleanliness of this location and the overall layout. There is seating in multiple areas of the cafe. There was a bit of chaos on the line because I wasn't picking up pastries from the assortment for purchase but rather picking up an online order. Perhaps, they could have a separate line for online orders to help ease the confusion. The cappuccino cake was beautiful and had a little chocolate on top that said "I love you Mom" which was perfect. The cake was not too sweet and had a nice coffee flavor with salty, creamy notes in the "foam" and the thin chocolate outer shell was a yummy addition. My family enjoyed the cake and my mom was very happy. read more

I just went to get a cup of coffee and went to add cream or half-and-half to my coffee and it had ice in it and it came out looking blue like nonfat milk. I said something to them, but they didn't fix it. I don't know if I would come back again. The pastries looked wonderful but I'm not there for that take away. My friend notified me that they had some offers on their app so I went here to take advantage of them and to check if it was finally open. Yes, it was open. It's the one in the same plaza as the Handel's on El Toro in Lake Forest. There was no one inside when I went in, so I didn't have to listen to anyone's conversations or anything like that, other than employees chattering. I was able to make my selection and pay with no interruptions or criticism of how slow I was. The offer I used was applied properly. The breads I picked tasted good. Since I ended up with the undivided attention of the employee on duty and I didn't have to get in any sort of line, the rating is applicable to this specific visit, and I might consider coming here during off hours like this to get similar experiences. The only problem with the plaza was the parking lot layout. There wasn't a lot of room to park in front of the entrance so I had to walk from a short distance away. There were some slow pedestrians and bad drivers and potholes too. Of course, those descriptions could also be applied to the branch on Walnut in Irvine, or the branch inside the Zion, if one parked in the older part of those parking lots. read more
