Service was very slow. I got here at about 8:20 in the morning on a Thursday and there was a line of maybe 4 customers. One cashier behind the order counter who is also making the drinks. No clean trays were available. Shelves were quite empty. One person "carefully" putting out the pastries from a rolling cart. The person filling the shelves decided to help at the counter due to the line. I can see the pastry I want on the rolling cart that got moved and parked behind an employee-only area. Seeing how busy they were, I patiently waited, while customers keep coming in, to ask for a tray. By then I probably already waited about close to 10 minutes. Then I patiently waited for another 10 minutes or so after all those customers had been served to get my desired pastry. It was the slowest service I've experienced at a PB. Please, having at least one cashier AND one barista AND one floater at all times.

This is a pretty good bakery store in old town Monrovia. The ambiance is great, indoor seating is comfortable and spacious. Just like other Paris baguettes stores, the bakery has lot of variety items to choose from. The cold sandwiches are quite expensive. Overall this is a nice spot to hang around.

First time visiting this location. They had friendly, quick service, no line on a Monday afternoon. It was clean & spacious with indoor seating. Great place to relax & hang out with friends. There are so many delicious pastries (savory & sweet), bread, donuts, cakes, macarons & fruit tarts to choose from. Make sure you sign up for their rewards program. I picked up my free birthday slice of cake. The chocolate hazelnut cake with Nutella was divine. The cake was spongy, moist and soft & it went well with Nutella. Can't wait to return to try more items on the menu! There's street parking outside the store or by the park and library.

I love this Paris Baguette. It's big and spacious, with lots of tables, and they have a wide variety of pastries. It's super clean and well-organized, and the ambiance is nice. There's parking is in front. They offer more pastry and cake options, and the drink menu is well-organized. The customer service is great, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The pastries don't have any food flies around them. I come in here to get cakes and pastries for my friends and family. Keep it up Paris baguette.

The manager or owner had the BEST customer service and everything was fresh and delicious. The restaurant was clean as well. Thank you!

Paris Baguette has become very popular and growing fast quickly for the taste of French pastry and French style bread. My wife and I enjoy a good French pastry depend where we get it. This our first time at Paris Baguette in Monrovia. When step in we're surprise the smell of the pastry right away and see many kind of French pastry they have in the store.

Paris Baguette is a nice, quaint bakery café in Old Town Monrovia, one of my favorite haunts. I found this spot thanks to my daughter's quest for a better place to study. (Like my home is that bad? Well, maybe if you count the cat who insists on sitting in her lap while she does homework...) "Should I check this place out?" Yes. We gave it a try because it had good buzz as both a study friendly café and a bakery worth cheating your diet for. Win-win. Study Haven in Old Town It's right across from the Monrovia Library Park, super convenient. I recently went with my mom, sister, and brother. Family field trip for caffeine and carbs. The atmosphere hit right away: clean, calm, and welcoming. The interior isn't huge, but there's enough seating, plus a nice window view of the park for people-watching. Despite being a chain, it blends perfectly with the Old Town vibe. Cozy Vibes and Plugs Everywhere The vibe is mellow, just background chatter and music, never overwhelming. Best part? Outlets everywhere. Perfect for laptops, phones, or pretending you're working while scrolling TikTok. Wi-Fi is solid too, so my daughter jumped right into her homework groove. I just sat back, relaxed, and tried not to think about how she vetoed our house for this. Honestly though, the place just feels good, tidy, well-kept, and easy to hang out in. Sweet Treats (and Allergy-Friendly Touches) We couldn't resist the pastry case. I went with the Pecan Tart and the Pineapple Brûlée Pastry. The pineapple one was a total showstopper. Flaky, custardy, topped with brûléed pineapple. First bite? Crunchy, creamy, fruity zing. Tasted like vacation and comfort food had a baby. The pecan tart was cozy and classic! Like mini pecan pie but with a perfect buttery shell. Both were excellent cheat-day choices. The real MVP though? Allergen labels. Every pastry lists common allergens. Huge deal for me because I've got a kid with allergies. It takes so much stress out of picking treats when you can just check the tag. Not many bakeries bother, so big points for that. Final Thoughts Our original visit turned a "just do homework somewhere" errand into a fun little outing. My daughter got her quiet study time (sugar-powered, obviously), and I got my cheat day pastries with the fam. Peaceful vibe, lots of plugs, good Wi-Fi, and killer desserts, this place stands out! All in all, Paris Baguette is perfect for both productivity and indulgence. You can set up with a laptop, knock out work, and reward yourself with something sweet. Lighthearted, friendly, and great tasting. This café just made my list of cheat-day go-tos and study spots. Would we come back? Absolutely. My daughter might even "suddenly" have extra homework just to get us back here and I'll be right behind her for another pecan tart. All in all, Paris Baguette is perfect for both productivity and indulgence. You can set up with a laptop, knock out work, and reward yourself with something sweet. Lighthearted, friendly, and good tasting. This café just made my list of cheat-day go-tos and study spots. Good for dates? Totally. Chill vibe, pretty pastries, indoor/outdoor seating, and Myrtle Ave people-watching. It's low-pressure but still impressive. Chill vibes and sugar instead of awkward silence and BBQ smoke. The other good tidbit is that pets are not allowed, otherwise you might find my daughter with a cat still sitting on her lap while studying in that place!

Was excited to finally come to the Monrovia location since I constantly visit the Arcadia store. This place though, not sure how to describe it. When I'm in Arcadia shop and super excited and want everything out of the case. Monrovia, so empty and it's 930 am on a Saturday. Literally walked around a couple times and struggled to find inspiration. The items I did grab were delicious, as always, but it just felt like a struggle here. Not sure what's happening here as this experience reflects other reviews on here. I'll try and give it one more chance though.

Service needs to be worked on Stephanie was quite rude she was rushing us to help the next customer when we were waiting for our food to be warmed. It's not what she was doing it's how she did it that needs work. Also there's a sign for pick up over on the far right of the counter and you can't see it unless you looked up which is where they put the food you need to tell customers this we don't know. Spoke to the owner she's going to address this hoping our next experience can be 5 stars

This is the 3rd time ive tried to go here and each time is worse than the last... everything always looks so good and its like none of the pastries are fresh. Last time I had a beyond stale cinnamon twist and this time we spent almost $20 for 2 pieces of cake for them to be totally dry and tasteless. Completely disappointing!

Paris Baguette (est 2025) is your neighborhood franchise bakery cafe in Monrovia. It's located on Old Town of the city. Their bakers, cakers, and baristas are make handcrafted cakes, freshly baked pastries and breads, delicious coffee, and smiles are served daily. :D I have been waiting for them to open since they put the first white coat paint on their store. This store location is spacious, clean and has positive vibe. I liked most of their cakes and pastries as well as their hot/cold drinks. PB is my favorite bakery during cheat day. Overall, I liked that this quaint old town has a piece of Paris. J'adore cet endroit. Je recommande vivement à tout le monde. And yes I am a polyglot. ;-)

I have visited this Paris Baguette in Old Town Monrovia on a few occasions. It's right across the street from the Monrovia Library / Library Park. Street parking is available near the front entrance. I've primarily come here for cake slices. I have tried their Strawberry Cream slice, Ganache Chocolate Cream (GCC) slice, and Souffle Cream Cheese slice. I have yet to try their other slices. I will have to try all their slices one day. Just FYI, they do not sell the GCC in a whole cake form. They only sell them in slices. You may buy 10 GCC slices and have them put all 10 together to make one whole cake. There will be some gap openings between the slices, but that's okay. Please note it's about $7+ per GCC slice. It makes sense why they don't sell this cake in whole cake form... too high in cost IMHO! But that didn't stop me from buying 10 GCC slices LOL. Atmosphere is nice. Very good eating space. There are two all gender restrooms. Staff was super friendly and nice. I got a chance to meet the manager as well. She is very helpful in answering all my questions. Thank you miss! I will for sure offer my patronage and support in the future.

We bought an elote, tortuga and can't recall the third piece of pan, and alfajores. The elote was delicious, I love that you can see little specs of cinnamon, soft and tender and vanilla scent. The tortuga was a bit more spongy, fragrant, and nice balanced of sweetness. The alfajores were buttery, crisp and smeared with dulce de leche. I needed a bday cake and decided to order the strawberry shortcake, because it looked so pretty. The cake was a hit with the family. The frosting was super light, the filling is one layer of custard and the other of light whipped cream and berries. The sponge is moist, the cake is not sweet, but decadent in its creamy texture. The inside of the store is aesthetically appealing, traditional glass cases showcase the pan. I'm so glad to have a nearby bakery and cake shop!

Like some of the reviews already mentioned, this location is more of a "grab and go" type of place. They have a solid selection of cakes, pastries, and drinks. If you are looking for their full breakfast menu, the Monrovia location down the street is where you would want to go! When I visited, they were celebrating their 1-year anniversary with an outside table of samplers. They had a balloon arch outside to signal to the community that they are celebrating something special as well. The lady out front shared with me what they had to offer, and she also mentioned that they do catering! I like my coffee strong but also on the sweet side. When I asked for the stronger option, I was recommended to get the cappucino rather than the latte and they can make the caffeine a little bit more concentrated without sacrificing the flavor. The cookies were a little dry for my taste but maybe it was because the samplers were sitting outside for a little too long. I would go back just to try the breakfast sandwich, but the experience of grabbing food was pretty fast and the food was flavorful enough! Excited to have a closer Cafe de Olla to me and wishing them so much success!

If you're a big eater and want the additional potatoes and pancakes, I recommend paying a few dollars more and ordering the Breakfast platter. The Vanilla Latte came in a paper cup (a bit bummed out by not being able to take a more IG worthy picture of that), but it actually tasted really good! Same with the sausage links - it was probably one of the best tasting ones I've had for breakfast in a while. Aside from their wide selection of pastries and food options, their customer service was phenomenal. Every customer that walked through the door was greeted upon arrival and thanked on their way out. I enjoyed the frosting more than the cake part. It's on the sweet side, but the cream cheese helps temper the sugar and the cake is less sweet. What I didn't like about the cake was the texture. At room temp, the crumb was fine yet dense and a touch dry. Some flavors were a little gummy. It didn't taste as bad as that sounds, but I was a little disappointed since the cupcakes looked so cute! - Strawberry Vanilla. This vanilla cupcake with real strawberries in the batter was the most moist and airy. However, there were pockets of slight gumminess due to the strawberry. The overall flavor was bland. The pink frosting was regular cream cheese frosting. - Red Velvet. The flavor of the cake was light, but better than the vanilla. It was a little drier than the vanilla, but probably the most well rounded in terms of texture. - Dulce de Leche. This cake was the most firm/dry/dense, but it also had the most flavor with notes of dark caramel. The frosting seemed to contain a mixture of cream cheese and dulce de leche.

Sadly, one employee can quickly change that, and I'm writing this in hopes that management helps them better understand how to properly deal with each individual situation. My husband and I go in for drinks and food, anywhere from 3-5 times a week, and we gladly leave tips in the jars, because up until today, we had nothing but great experiences. Today at about noon, I went in and ordered at the register. I ordered my husband's large drink, and order my REGULAR drink, paid for an ADDED shot, and asked if it could be placed in a large cup instead of regular cup, with extra ice. No issues ordering and paying. Even left a tip in their jars. I move over to wait for my drink and the girl making the drinks (short curly hair) finds an issue with me asking for a large cup and tells me that is an upcharge because it's more plastic and it's an inventory issue, and I'd have to pay for a large drink. Really? At first I think that perhaps she's under the impression that I want more of the drink or extra ice on the side perhaps? so I proceed to explain to her that I want the same amount that comes with my regular drink, but just want extra ice and space for my added shot that was paid for, hence the larger cup. She refused to budge and tells me it doesn't matter, that I have to pay for a large, even though I had already paid and the girl taking my order has no issue with this. Her attitude towards the situation was so bizarre and I wonder if her inability to process what I was explaining is what caused her to be so "firm" on this, but I left feeling so disappointed and frankly, not sure if I want to return. Possibly losing a customer over what you think is a 50cent "thievery" seems like bad business. UPDATE: within minutes of the review posting, Isaiah, the CEO personally called me to apologize for the poor experience and promised to look into this to make sure it doesn't happen again. He was also confused, since he assured me that is in no way company policy, and offered to void today's transaction. Thank you for making us feel heard.

Besides cream puffs, I never expected their other pastries to be this delicious Rose Lychee Croissant Their laminating technique is truly impressive--crispy and flaky with a sweet-tangy sauce, perfect for summer. I tried several cream puff flavors, and I definitely recommend chilling them before eating. The shell stays crisp, and the filling tastes even better cold. My favorites were the Maple Pecan and Black Sesame Hojicha. The maple flavor was noticeable without being overly sweet, and the slightly bitter dark chocolate coating balanced it really well. The black sesame and hojicha combination was also excellent, with a strong nutty flavor followed by a subtle roasted tea finish. The Dubai Pistachio Chocolate Croissant was easily the highlight of my visit. The croissant was flaky and crisp, and the inside was packed with crunchy pistachio kataifi, chocolate, and a generous amount of pistachio cream. The pistachio flavor tasted natural and nutty rather than overly sweet or artificial, and you could actually taste small pieces of ground pistachio. I also really enjoyed the Kimchi Bacon Garlic Roll. It had a great mix of savory, slightly sweet, creamy, smoky, and tangy flavors. The Raspberry Rose Lychee Croffin was lighter and more refreshing, especially after being chilled. The raspberry, rose, and lychee flavors worked surprisingly well together without tasting too floral. Even the Almond Croissant had a nice surprise inside with lemon custard, which helped balance the richness. Their flattened croissant was also incredibly crispy and reminded me of an extra-buttery palmier. I paired everything with the pistachio coffee, which was another standout. The pistachio cream topping was thick, rich, and actually tasted like pistachio instead of just flavored syrup. There are so many creative items here, but the flavors still feel thoughtful and well balanced. I would absolutely come back for the pistachio croissant, cream puffs, and coffee.

I've been coming to Goki Cafe for years, and it's easily one of my favorite coffee spots. This…read morefamily-owned, Oaxacan-inspired café sources many of its ingredients directly from Mexico, and you can truly taste the care they put into everything they make. Today I finally tried their Oaxacan Chilaquiles, made with organic corn from Mexico, homemade salsa verde, and two eggs, and they were absolutely delicious! If you visit, I also highly recommend the Goki Mocha, made with rich Oaxacan chocolate. It's been my favorite drink there for years. The service is always wonderful, and you can tell this place is built with so much love and heart. The family is incredibly kind, and I love supporting their business. If you're in the area, definitely give Goki Cafe a try!

Brightly lit interior with a simply designed aesthetic. Many folks were relaxing and enjoying the conditioned air. While the shop served plenty of in-house made coffees and teas, off to the side was a refrigerated section brightly displaying bottled Chaparittas tangerine soft drink and Tehuacán mineral water. I decided on ordering an Oaxacan tostada which came completely smothered in black beans, cabbage, queso fresco, and salsa verde. It was refreshing and made for a quick, light snack while also being deceptively filling. While waiting for the order, I noticed their NY Cookies which came in two kinds. One was simply the regular chocolate chip variety, while the other came packed with white chocolate chips, ate de membrillo (quince cheese), and tejocote (hawthorn fruit paste). I decided on the second one and enjoyed the unique flavors of the bits and pieces, even though it was very sweet. All in all, would definitely come back to dine and chill out.

I tempered my expectations and expected a mediocre sandwich due to the price of $5.99 but was pleasantly surprised to receive a hot, generously-filled sandwich all within 5 minutes! I ate outside at one of their two tables and noticed a handful of people come in to order their drinks. Will try one next time!

I ordered the beef burrito $5.99 which came with stewed beef and jasmine rice seasoned with a little soy sauce on it. I added salsa at home and it was a perfect filling meal. They toasted the burrito for me so it was nice and crispy even an hour later. Orders came out quickly despite a single person making the drinks and all the food items. I also ordered a frappe for $4 (in this economy?!) with an extra shot, it wasn't too strong so I'm glad I got the extra shot since I don't like my drinks too sweet. Indoors is tiny, they have a couple tables outside but I'm not sure if they're shared with other businesses.
