I believe there is strawberry jam spread between the layers, the red crunchy sprinkles reminds me of the Good Humor Strawberry shortcake icecream bars, however a little too sweet for my liking. The white cream used was interesting more of a solidified texture & a tad cream cheese like. Im not sure if I prefer that over softer whipped cream for cake. Are Tous Les Jours usually in H Mart? I've noticed this isn't the first time I've seen it, but I'm glad I stopped by for an Assam Milk Tea. I asked how this was made, specifically asking for no syrup, and the face of the lady who served me was matched my request. No sweetness at all?! After a minute of back and forth, I settled on the one pump of brown sugar syrup that she requested, noticing that she put more than one. The Assam Milk Tea was good, but it was a tad too sweet. My personal favorite staple is the Mushroom Onion Cheese Pastry and the Croquette sets, which feature some unique fillings such as kimchi. Inside Korean H Mart, you will find this lovely bakery, cake and coffee shop Tous Les Jours. All pastries are wrapped and sealed for freshness. I haven't tried all the pastries but the egg custard and Tiramisu are heavenly. Great for birthday cakes. Service was friendly and quick. The barista made me an Earl Grey Hot Tea. Tous Les Jours is my go-to spot for pastries when I'm at H-Mart in Arcadia. My daughters and I love their apple pie and taro bread the most... so yummy and tasty! Apple pie has a nice crunch. Taro bread is very soft. They both have the right amount of sweetness. We get their other pastries, too. We've tried one of their drinks... just don't remember which one. I may have bought one cake from them, too. They do have options. Staff is usually okay. Prices on pastries and drinks are reasonable, but I think the cake prices are slightly high for such small size cakes. We'll continue to support TLJ as long as they are in business. Hope you do, too. This Bakery is located inside H-mart supermarket in Arcadia, I was in a rush and couldn't explore the entire place, but beside this bakery, I can see many other businesses are also tabling inside this H-mart supermarket. I was there to grab a bday cake for my godson, right off a get go, I saw a delish chocolate birthday cake that comes with a toy train, car/ train are my godson favorite and chocolate is my favorite, I was in and out within 60 seconds. The cake was perfect in size, it wasn't too sweet, and the price was right. Everyone really enjoyed the chocolate, and my godson really enjoyed the talking choo choo train. I ended up buying a lavender latte and a loaf of taro bread with taro cream. The lavender latte was good, but not the top. It was only a little sweet, so it worked well with my bread. If you typically prefer sweeter lattes, I suggest asking for more sugar. The taro bread was so divine. The bread was a beautiful purple, and it was so fluffy in the inside. The cream isn't too sweet and is just the right amount. My mother who doesn't have great teeth loved it, and we almost gobbled it all down in the parking lot. I am looking forward to buying another baked again. There isn't a particular cute place to sit for a date, but it does share a food court area which is surrounded by other great Korean restaurants. Stumbled in for milk bread with sweet butter which is always so soft and satisfying. But discovered they have Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Bread! I understand why this bad boy took the 'gram by storm. It's a bit on the sweet side surprisingly--the cream cheese stuffed inside is sweetened and the garlic butter on top is savory and slightly sweetened also. It's really nice that this bakery is inside HMart because it always gives me an excuse to buy myself a lil sweet treat. It's right near the entrance too so it's just extremely convenient to grab and go. I went over the weekend and got the sweet cream filled bread (not pictured and also probably not the exact name) and lavender matcha latte. First time I visited, I ordered more than 50 percent of their menu. I am giving them 5 starts only because of their cloud cakes and cheese corn balls. Since I only buy cakes for special occasions, I don't want a cake that I might not be happy with. Since I am a fan of Japanese Souffle Cheesecakes, I thought I would try their mini cheesecake. I prefer the mini cheesecakes that can be purchased from Japanese bakeries. On the other hand, I am always happy with the different breads and pastries here. I love that they are all individually wrapped. I have tried their plain and chocolate croissants. I have also tried their savory and sweet pastries. Since I happen to love red bean pastries, I bought one red bean donut. I should have bought more. It reminded me of a sugar dusted beignet that was filled with red bean. However the overall cake (cloud cake #3) I order for $40 with fresh fruits and 50% of the cake was mostly cream which is overwhelming for Asian taste buds. The lady with glasses at the cashier stand was really rude. There was a guy and a lady at the cashier stand. I asked if they had one of the strawberry lychee cakes shown on their display posters and the guy cashier said he'll check in the back, that they might have one. He brought out a box and was opening it, but the lady whispered something to him and he closed the box and walked to the side without returning to the counter. Then the lady turned to me and said they don't have the cake. No smile on her face, just seemed really annoyed. It's fine if there are shop rules to not sell cakes other than from the display. (Not sure if that was even the issue). But she didn't have to make the customer feel unappreciated and lied to. The croissant and croquette and twisted donuts are my favorite, but honestly anything you get will be good. They have lots of pretty options like fruit pastry and berry cream bread, great to give to your girlfriend when she's angry! After coming to H Mart numerous times I finally gave in and tried some of the sweets and pastries Tous Les Jours has to offer. It's a small bakery inside the market by the mini food court. There are display cases with cakes as well as a selection of pastries to try. There are sweet cream breads, croquettes, Korean style donuts, and loaves of fresh bread. They also serve various drinks like teas and coffee. When you're ready to order you grab a tray and tongs and pick the pastries that you want. During check out the staff will bag each and every single item separately. I would these pastries and sweets are pretty good. The breads and buns are very soft/fluffy. For the cost it might be on the pricey side due to the limited quality and convenience of being inside a market. It's actually not bad to grab something to try if you visit H Mart. read more

I like to rotate bakeries when ordering cakes for birthdays and I haven't tried Tous Les Jours yet, so they were the business in charge for my mom's birthday cake. They had only a few cakes on display when I came Monday night. I asked if they had a listing of the cakes they offer, and they handed me a binder with pages of cake options in photos. My mom likes cakes with a lot of fruit toppings, so picture #4 of the cloud cake seemed like a good choice, as it had a variety of fruits, like strawberries, mango, and blueberries. I selected that, prepaid for my $27 order, and confirmed pick-up for the next day, late afternoon. The next day, I arrived to pick up the cake at 5pm. It wasn't until I got home when I noticed something off. The cake box was a normal size, but looking inside at the cake, it did not look anything at all like the one I selected. It was pretty small, much smaller than the ones they sold in their cake display case, and there were only strawberries on top of the cake. I kicked myself for not checking when at the bakery since it was too late to go back (mom's birthday dinner with cake cutting was in an hour). In the end, if I had known about the differences and the size and was okay with it, this would've been a good experience, as the cake itself is rather good. It was light and refreshing. It really lived up to its name as a cloud cake. It was just pretty pricey at $27 for its small size and the mismatch between what I ordered with the bakery and what they made for me. read more

This review is only for my Birthday cake. After checking out the various Birthday cakes at JJ Bakery, I was disappointed that none of them tickled my fancy this year. I, then remembered Tous les Jours located inside H Mart. Parking: Spacious parking lot, but it does get filled up pretty quickly. Originally, I had my eye on the Sweet Potato Mousse Cake. However, the small size ($28) they had would feed about maybe four people (and I had six people for my Birthday dinner). They also had a larger size ($35) that would easily feed six or more people. Though, I decided not to get that one because my family isn't keen on sweet potato desserts/food of any sort (I remembered some of them scowling when I ordered sweet potato fries in lieu of regular fries at Lucille's BBQ). Therefore, I decided to get the... $29 Fresh Chocolate Cream Cake topped with chocolate dusting and assorted fruit toppings. Surprisingly, my family approved of this cake, woohoo! (They're not a chocolate cake type of family either, lol!). The overall chocolate sponge cake itself was light, airy, creamy, moist and delicious. The assorted fruit toppings were sweet and fresh, and the whipped cream was super fluffy. The only thing I wasn't too crazy about was the chocolate dusting because it would easily fly everywhere and so I had to lift each slice carefully onto each plate. Nonetheless, my Birthday cake was a hit and I would get it again, lol! My Birthday cake also came with an edible, chocolate Happy Birthday sign and a Birthday packet complete with a serving knife and two sets of candles (long and short versions). I didn't look inside the packet beforehand and thought they had forgotten the candles and so I took two red candles from own stash. (Now, I know, lol!). Service: The two young ladies assisting me were nice and friendly. One of them packaged up my cake and Birthday packet neatly and carefully, while the other one handled my transaction.
