Paris Baguette is located in Downtown Monrovia, off of Myrtle, right across from the library. They're opened from 7am - 9pm, which makes it very convenient for customers to visit both before or after school and work. There's free parking on the surrounding streets or parking lots throughout the area. This location is very clean. You select and pay for your pastries and beverages towards the left side of the store, while the seating area is towards the right. I got there on a Wednesday morning at 8am and there was already a line! The staff were very polite and friendly. Make sure to join their free membership on their app to enjoy a free pastry! Speaking of pastries - they do have a wide selection of baked goodies available at a cost of about $5 for their bread to about $9 for a slice of cake. I personally prefer less sweet treats in the morning so I settled for just a plain croissant. A majority of their other options were too sugary for me. Service was very slow. I got here at about 8:20 in the morning on a Thursday and there was a line of maybe 4 customers. One cashier behind the order counter who is also making the drinks. No clean trays were available. Shelves were quite empty. One person "carefully" putting out the pastries from a rolling cart. The person filling the shelves decided to help at the counter due to the line. I can see the pastry I want on the rolling cart that got moved and parked behind an employee-only area. Seeing how busy they were, I patiently waited, while customers keep coming in, to ask for a tray. By then I probably already waited about close to 10 minutes. Then I patiently waited for another 10 minutes or so after all those customers had been served to get my desired pastry. It was the slowest service I've experienced at a PB. I was disappointed by my experience at Paris Baguette. The prices advertised on the menu and displays were literally several dollars lower than what I was actually charged at checkout. When I brought the discrepancy to the manager's attention, she simply laughed and asked, "So do you still want to order?" Rather than acknowledging the issue or attempting to resolve it, the response felt dismissive and disrespectful. Pricing should be accurate and transparent, and customer concerns should be taken seriously. Unfortunately, the lack of accountability and professionalism left a very negative impression. I have visited this Paris Baguette in Old Town Monrovia on a few occasions. It's right across the street from the Monrovia Library / Library Park. Street parking is available near the front entrance. I've primarily come here for cake slices. I have tried their Strawberry Cream slice, Ganache Chocolate Cream (GCC) slice, and Souffle Cream Cheese slice. I have yet to try their other slices. I will have to try all their slices one day. Just FYI, they do not sell the GCC in a whole cake form. They only sell them in slices. You may buy 10 GCC slices and have them put all 10 together to make one whole cake. There will be some gap openings between the slices, but that's okay. Please note it's about $7+ per GCC slice. It makes sense why they don't sell this cake in whole cake form... too high in cost IMHO! But that didn't stop me from buying 10 GCC slices LOL. Atmosphere is nice. Very good eating space. There are two all gender restrooms. Staff was super friendly and nice. I got a chance to meet the manager as well. She is very helpful in answering all my questions. Thank you miss! The much anticipated Paris Baguette finally opens in Old Town Monrovia, directly across the street from the Library Park. It only took them about a year. The location is perfect. The interior is a bit smaller than other locations with enough seating to accommodate a small crowd. The window faces the street and park for people watching. They sell the usual breads, buns, croissants, sliced and whole cakes and even premade sandwiches. It's been about a 1/2 year since I've been to their other locations but the prices here seem higher, rivaling West LA prices. We came for some sweets after lunch and got a twisted donut and fruit tart. The fruit tart had good flavor, but it was not light and flaky. We couldn't even cut through it with a plastic knife. The sugar cinnamon twisted donut tasted a bit stale. It was even harder than the fruit tart and dry. Either the baking methods here differ from other locations, or these have been sitting for a day. The staff was ok. They did their job and didn't do anything above and beyond. Just said 'next' , took our money and moved on to the next people on line. The interior is nice and bright, with tables for 4 and the Parisian style chairs, and again, it's at a great location. But my first time here having dry and hard pastries is not the best experience. Now I'll just wait for another location to open down the block from my home, which also has been delayed. read more

She even asked if I wanted any of them heated up. I heated up the hash brown bread and the ham & cheese pastry when I got home. My family & I tasted some of each. The hash brown bread contained ham & cheese, so I tried a small sliver of the end that just had hash brown and bread. The bread was soft and the hashbrown was tasty. The cinnamon jumbo twist donut tasted like a churro. It was bomb. The almond croissant was delicious! It contained a generous amount of almond filling surrounded by lots of crispy, flaky layers. The macadamia nut cookie was soft and loaded with white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts. It was exceptionally good. My family loved the ham & cheese pastry. The mood of the establishment is very calm and relaxed, with some very random music in the background. The decor is very Parisian, and the colors scheme is pleasant on the eyes. Newly opened location (opened last month) of Paris Baguette can be found in old town Monrovia, across from the park in front of the library and diagonally across from Citi Bank. My husband and I came for a visit last Sunday, around 10 am. We ended up purchasing: Pumpkin Danish, $3.99 prior to tax- Not as pretty as photos on Pari Baguette's website, I really enjoyed this pastry. I loved the pumpkin flavor and didn't find the pastry to be overly too sweet. I will definite get this again before the pumpkin season is over. Almond Pastry, $3.89 prior to tax- I didn't have any (except for some of the slivered almonds that were left in the box) but my husband ate this pastry. He thought it was just okay and felt it was on the dry side. Raspberry Almond Pastry $5.39 prior to tax- My husband and I shared this pastry (the next day after purchasing). This was a good pastry, as there is a filling inside with almond cream and raspberry preserve, but I am not sure if I would purchase this one again. I feel like I have had something similar better and at a cheaper price point. The powered sugar makes this pastry a little messy and so does the flakey crust. --------------------------------- (Total= $14.63 after tax) Wait time for the register was about 5 minutes. I'm a little worried about the tray and tong location as you have to turn around to see them and, as far as I saw, there were no signs requesting customers to use tongs. This is a great location to grab a snack and a coffee and take a walk around the Monrovia Library Park. We've been wondering when they would finally open and today was the day lol! I arrived mid morning and the line was out the door - totally packed so I guess we weren't the only ones waiting to try Old Town's newest bakery. The store is very new and clean with sleek French vibes. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming and you can tell they've been training hard bc they were handling the rush VERY well. This was my first time at a Paris Baguette and I was surprised at how much variety was available. They have a large case full of sweet pastries in the middle of the shop, a second pastry case with a mix of sweet and savory pastries, and a third refrigerator case containing prepackaged lunch items like salads and sandwiches. They also have a drinks menu with a wide variety of coffees and other drinks. My vanilla latte was excellent and not overly sweet. We also enjoyed our savory Hash Brown Bread pastry - it's a soft roll with ham, cheese and hashbrowns inside and is savory and yummy. The sweet pastries we've tried haven't been our fave. Everything looks beautiful and is presented excellently but the flavors and textures weren't great. We bought the raspberry pastry bites, a strawberry croissant, raspberry almond croissant, and a king cream donut. For the raspberry pastry bites - the raspberries weren't fresh and had a very strong, unusual aftertaste and the flaky pastry was hard as a rock. The king cream donut was just ok - a little bland and extremely sweet. The strawberry cream croissant had nice strawberries in it and the croissant had nice light texture but the cream was bland with an odd aftertaste. The raspberry almond croissant was the best of the sweet ones but had way too much raspberry jam in proportion to the croissant- still had nice flavor and texture - although it's extremely sweet. Their prices are another issue - their pastries and food items are quite expensive in comparison to the other area bakeries. But their drinks are priced competitively. Paris Baguette is a large worldwide chain and is rapidly expanding across the US. I'm glad Monrovia is getting more options but I hope it won't affect our smaller family owned bakeries in the area that we love. Parking is all street parking or in public lots around Old Town. What a beautiful coincidence that my family happened to be going by the Monrovia Library today to return and check out some books when the librarians told us about an event happening at the new Paris Baguette across the street! We made it just in time to experience the end of their soft opening, and got to see the brand new store, everything is clean, well laid out, and a great location off of Myrtle with plenty of parking in front and back. We were greeted by the owner, Oksana, who was SO sweet and offered each customer the opportunity to try a couple of the pastries and a regular drink. The fall flavors at Paris Baguette are in BTW! I got the lemon croissant donut, it was light and flaky, with a peach tea. My husband had the ham and cheese croissant which he loved with a chai latte. I was both excited a nervous to see a large, popular bakery chain open on Myrtle Ave. This building has been vacant for too long and this bakery cafe is a wonderful addition to Old Town Monrovia. I loved how the murals on the walls reflected local landmarks. The pastries are, of course, delicious and they offer a nice selection of lunch items like sandwiches and salads.
