I think I figured out why these pastries aren't light and flakey like there are supposed to be. They wipe some kind of Shiney liquid on top of them which gets absorbed into the dough. Please stop adding these physical enhancements and let the pastries speak for themselves. I just returned from South Korea where there are plenty of Paris B. locations and they do NOT glaze and powder their pastries like this. Why do I care? This business is super close to my home and hate having to drive 20 minutes out to the handful of bakeries in the area that make authentic, quality French pastries. I've been here at least 5 times now and there was only one time where the pastries were the right texture and consistency. read more

Grabbed coffee and pastries before walking around the international market. Nothing super special but fun to pick out goodies for the road. There are a TON of options to pick from which makes it a bit overwhelming in a mouthwatering way! Overall happy we stopped but not sure we'd make a special trip for it. read more

A great pastry show with unique and delicious treats from sweet to savory. Some of the cream can be too much inside the donuts but some like it that way. I haven't had anything bad so far. My favorite is the ham and cheese croissant. It's sooo delicious. The coffee is good as well. This location has a small indoor seating space and a few tables outside. Since the last review I suddenly had another occ.when I was unable to bake a cake .We went back to the Brier Creek location because of the prior excellent service We tried the Mango cake -Oh,my Goodness ! It was delicious ! The Mango was perfect.Which is tricky.If you cook much then you know a Mango can skip so quickly into being over -ripe. I was hesitant -but even my 90 y.o relative who will usually not eat anything new scarfed it up. You had the strong mango flavor next to the airy mild icing and light texture cake ? Perfection . Paris Baguette continues to deserves 5 Stars.I came back to update this review so quickly because the first one was sort of a hesitant 5 stars .Now it is unreservedly 5 stars.There should be a flavor there that will impress . WHY am I making such a big deal about this ?Because I truly have not found another bakery around here that impresses me .There probably are some but the ones rec.so far ? Meh. Go to the Brier Creek Paris Baguette and order the Lemon or Mango cakes .They are worth the price . Honestly, I went there one time and really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the coffee and I got some cookies. However, my last experience was horrendous, and I will not go again. I don't know if it's because I ordered it from delivery. But I received a sandwich that was twelve dollars, and it was poorly poorly made. The sourdough came soggy, the cheese was cold and runny. The bacon was so soggy. I honestly feel like everybody knows that bacon is supposed to be crispy and it makes me so frustrated. When restaurants serve it very soggy, because they're not doing it fully.The way it's intended to be. I am just disappointed and would have loved consistency. read more

What's not to love about a buffet of pastry? Not to say that this place is all you can eat, but you kinda can't help yourself once you get those tongs in your hand... I love that it's self serve, I just wish the layout was larger. If there are more than five or six people it gets a little backed up. This place is good to go anytime of day but I would steer clear during busy lunch/dinner hours. You want to have time to appreciate all of the offerings and make educated selections! Service at the counter it was extremely slow; it took three people five minutes to fill 2 cups of coffee. We were so confused and eager to eat pastry. The small seating area was extremely dirty, especially the trash/tray return station. Again, I wish this place was bigger. It's connected to an international grocery store so the temperature inside of this place is also very cold. Dress appropriately. Coming here before a special event and just picking desserts left and right would be so fun! There are so many options. Enjoy! read more

Was totally disgusted by my very first visit. I want to possibly give them another chance, but I watched a male worker this weekend, put out pastries with no gloves on, as well as eating the fallen remnants of the pastries (specifically almonds) on the tray with his bare hands, sticking them in his mouth (probably touching his mouth with hands) still not any gloves on nor washing or sanitizing his hands, and he would go get the next tray of pastries and put those items out as well. It was my first time visiting. It was quite disgusting and I watched him do this, and he even saw me looking at him and still did not stop. read more

The strawberry croissant was very good, pastel de nata was dry and fell apart, the curry croquettes was awful - I've enjoyed these elsewhere and they are supposed to be savory not sweet. This shop is great, but it's not a typical standalone bakery, so don't expect to work remotely there. On a sunny day, seating outside might be possible, but there aren't many tables for that kind of setup. The pastries are amazing! It's a walk in self-serve and pay at the register. Can't go wrong with any of the fruit based tarts/pastries as that's what I mostly gravitate towards. I'm indifferent to their iced Matcha latte because it's very sweet. When I ordered it, I asked for honey and whole milk, but I was advised to skip the honey due to the sweetness. I told the barista I'm not a fan of sweet matcha, but I wasn't given any tips on how to control the sweetness level, so it wasn't great for me. They also don't make it traditionally--I saw them use a blender, which is more similar to how Starbucks does it vs more local/family run shops. read more

Yum! I've been wanting to visit this bakery for a while now and recently had a convenient opportunity. While in the area we stopped in this plaza for brunch. I did not realize the bakery was a part of the international grocery store. You can access it through the grocery store or through the bakery entrance. Unfortunately the first thing you smell is fish. A wall between the bakery and grocery store would be beneficial. Fish is not what you want to smell when walking in a bakery. Our attention however quickly shifted to the beautiful baked goods. Grab a tray and tongs and fill it up with a variety of mouth watering items. If desired, they offer to warm up any of the items. We requested ours to-go and the enthusiastic, friendly employee packaged the items well. The lemon custard donut croissant, hot dog croissant, and chocolate custard donut were our favorites. We just would have liked more lemon custard on the items that advertised as being lemon. Overall, we had a positive experience here and recommend this bakery to others! read more

Donuts are nothing special, look old and stale. They're too greasy. The croissant pastries are too greasy, so when you bite into it it is soggy, and has no fresh flakiness like a good one does. The fruit on top of the pastries is rotting as well, who knows how old that is. read more

Welcome to Raleigh, PB! Finally! I love that we have a PB here, and I love even more that the first location opened up so close to me! Also, cheers to the PB staff for handling the opening rush so well the past few days. I am unashamed to admit that I've been 3 times in the past week (lol), and they've been great all three times. First visit: went around 9:30am. The breads and pastries were still stocked with a lot of variety, but I was a bit sad to see that a lot more were still on the rack, waiting to be displayed. The staff was quick to get the customers in and out, even with all the drink orders. I also really like the fact that they have boxes available for customers to pack their goods into the boxes themselves! Second visit: went in the afternoon, around 1:30pm. Strangely there was a bit less variety than the morning visit. There were more empties than I was anticipating. Third visit: went right before closing, around 7:30pm. Obviously it was the most empty at this hour, but the service was still great. The staff was still friendly and helpful, even with just a few minutes left till closing. As for what I tried- basically everything besides the drinks. They are still new, so I don't want to be too critical just yet, and I'm hoping they will only continue to improve! read more

I was unaware that this chain existed in the Triangle. I was recently in Houston and came upon one, and thought it was great. A wonderful system to self select items, without holding up any lines at the counter, including a large variety of delicious treats. I looked at where else they were located, and absolutely surprised to find them right here in Briar Creek. I couldn't wait to go and bring a couple of friends as well. When we walked in around 12:45 PM, on a Tuesday, I was open mouthed at how empty the cases of great pastries were. Alongside the cases were 2 kitchen racks of additional pastries just sitting nearby getting picked at by customers finding some things there for themselves, that should have been in the protected cases. Staff was behind the counter, but unfortunately did not seem to be concerned with what was happening beyond the counter right in front of them. I was saddened, and expressed my disappointment to my friends. We bought a selection of what we saw. As we left, a bunch more customers arrived, to experience a similar fate. I hope this was a singular issue, and not usual. I am now aware of another location in Cary, and would hate to have to go there (much farther away) in the future. Hopefully the manager can correct this quickly. read more

Good place. Desserts are good, nothing remarkable really. However, their blueberry yogurt cake is really good. It's a go-to every time. Ambiance is clean and pretty, however sometimes the smell from the Chinese market right across makes the bakery smell a little funky. You usually don't have to wait more than 5 minutes to receive your order. Workers are nice and polite. Most of the popular desserts sometimes run out before 5-6, so options are quite limited if you come after work. Overall, nice place. I recommend to give this place a try. read more

What a complete let down. I was so looking forward to trying this place. 40 minutes after opening and they were clearly still setting up. Many of the cases were still empty. The cashier was also loading the pastry cases, so that took forever. Then, the cashier was completely disengaged. I had to asked if I could get my sandwich heated since the sticker on it says it is recommended, even though he never offered. He said yes, then forgot, so I had to ask again. When he finally heated it, it was still ice cold in the middle. I've gotten a hotter sandwich and more attentive service at McDonalds. read more
