We started using Parish Pest about 3/4 months ago and have been very satisfied with the service. Dee Dee has been very responsive and friendly. Ryan has been out several time and is super friendly and very professional. I've recently has some concerns with a possible dead animal under our foundation and Dee Dee was able to schedule Ryan to come out the same day which was awesome!! Ryan as always was very efficient, we were not able to identify where the smell was coming from, but not from lack of trying. If I could choose a zero, I would. This company inspected our home for a routine refinance. The fellow who inspected said that he found one tiny area that needed repair, but when the written report came in (prepared by the office girl's power, not the inspector, by his own admission), there were tons of problems and they wanted THOUSANDS to fix them. Upon the advice of our mortgage company, we (1) had a new inspection by a contractor, and after the contractor could not find these "problems," we (2) had a new inspection by another home inspection (not "termite") company. Absolute clean bill of health. Parish charged $280. The other company charged $150. AVOID PARISH! I'm considering Small Claims Couet. read more

This review is just from phone contact with Deedee. She was SO HELPFUL. I was in an extreme panic when I found a nasty bug under my toddlers toy that he was playing with. I posted it on Facebook and everybody was saying it was a roach or a beetle or waterbug amongst other things. I called this company and Deedee had me email her a picture. She called me right back and explained to me in great detail that it was an oriental cockroach which live outdoors but can make their way inside. She helped calm my nerves because I know nothing about roaches other than they are disgusting and filthy. She could have easily taken advantage of my venerability and convinced me that they needed to come out costing me money I have not budgeted for. Another pest company had issued a fake report and we had Parish Termite reinspect our property 5 months after we closed escrow. Harold found 12 section 1 issues and active termites and wood beetles. Harold and Dee Dee instructed us about making a complaint with the California Structural Pest Control Board. That was a year ago they have answered so many questions fielded so many phone calls. I can't recommend them highly enough. I live in a foothills community and will always recommend to anyone here to have their termite inspection done by Parish Termite. These people are rude, they will send someone for service who doesn't even do their job correctly and leave a receipt in the door. We had to call them again for another service as the first job wasn't done correctly and they would be hesitant to send someone. They will just send someone at their own convenience leave a receipt at the door. I will not use their service anymore. Also they showed us hours late at their first appointment and we let it go. When the customer has an issue then have have issues resolving the problem. read more

I don't have a masters in bugs, dry rot, or construction. I am not an expert - so I tried to find someone who was. Parish had good recommendations on yelp so I chose them, but wow was I mistaken!! If you are a woman and want to be made to feel like a "stupid woman in a man's world" then by all means use this company. Here is another lesson: Don't piss off the pest dude. This A hole held up clearing my house for as loooong as he could. It was clear to all involved that he was retaliating because I made him mad. I guess asking him to leave my property because he showed up an hour early when I was the only one home, and I was not up to speed on what was repaired, was a good way to piss him off. Wow - that was easy!! Dee Dee was nice at first. She also became hard to deal with as time went on. Bottom line is that there are better companies that respect their clients out there somewhere. Well we reached out for a pest inspection due to a VA refinance, if you are looking for the same look else place. They charged us almost 300 and do not do any repairs, and can not refer us to anyone to do any of the repairs that were called out during the inspection. What a joke! We had to get it reinspected by North American Termite to get a quote on the work and get this it cost 125 for the inspection, and they can do the work that VA wants done to close on the loan. I tried to give a local company the benefit of the doubt but learned my 300 lesson. DO YOUR HOMEWORK PEOPLE! read more

I have had parish for my 2 apartment buildings in midtown sacramento for 20 years. They come every 2 months and are affordable. When there is a possible tenant or building pest issue they are very responsive and thorough. They are very knowledgeable about treating pest problems and communicate their findings calmly and compassionately if it is out of their scope of work they will tell you so and refer you. I had them out to do a full service before I sold my house. Not only did they do a great job spraying and getting rid of some of the recurring pests in and around my place, but went way above and beyond on cleaning up the spider webs in the rafters of the garage. My house was built in the 40's and I think there was 70 years of spider web build up in there (comparable to the barn in the movie arachnophobia). I called Parrish looking for a termite inspection and Dee Dee was very prompt in returning my call. She sent a technician out same day. Unfortunately we did not pass inspection but Dee Dee was very helpful in working with me by recommending someone to come out and do repairs. Because we were in a time crunch to get our inspection to pass, we had to go with another contractor. This was not a reflection of their service just a personal decision. Dee Dee kept in close phone contact and worked with me every step of the way. The technician came back out promptly after our repairs were completed and signed off on our report. Search no further for a new pest-management company. We had a rodent die in our attic and became aware due to the horrible order that began to permeate from the attic in our closet. My husband has been in the audio/video/wiring industry for many years and knows his way through attics. He had no luck finding the deceased culprit. Not only did Parish offer to come out the very next morning (a less than 12 hour response time) but technician Alex blew us away. He not only found the rat within an hour of persistent searching (under the HVAC platform buried in insulation) but exemplified first-in-class professionalism the entire time.
