"Bacon" burrito and medium iced mocha latte
    Ashley F.

Normally, I love Parisi Coffee. The one in Union Station is amazing. This is the second time I have been here at KCI airport. Both times have not been the best of experiences. Today, I ordered a sausage burrito and got bacon. Come on. Seating is usually ample here and I don't have a problem. It's comfortable for being in the airport. The service is okay. But staff is raising their voices off and on loudly from what I can see for no reason. They look at you without smiling. Just not very welcoming as it should be. Hopefully, this helps to improve that for airport guests.

Okay, first of all Parisi is super cute. I went with my girlfriends for farewell breakfast. I had the Vanilla Oat Milk Latte which was suggested by the staff and it was delicious. My friends tried various pastries and breakfast items and we all enjoyed our breakfast. The cafe was full of various people working on laptops or just grabbing coffee with friends. It was a good vibe and again, it is super chic and cute inside. I recommend.

I stopped at Parisi bright and early before a 6am flight. The service was not particularly friendly but I didn't think it was terrible (it was very early so I would question if the service was overly peppy at that time). I ordered a cold brew and a breakfast sandwich. The cold brew was fine. The sandwich still had some cold spots in the middle so it was not the best. There's a decent amount of seating and tables were clean for the most part. A plus is that Parisi was open so early, but I will opt for other options on my next trip through KCI.

Decaf, drip and sausage, egg and cheese biscuit

It was great to see an actual coffee roaster as I was coming through security. The line was short at 5:30 AM. But it was definitely worth a little wait. As far as airport coffees go, this is one of the best. The service was OK for airport employees. The gentleman at the register was consistent and kept the line flowing. There were two ladies working as the barista and the food prep. It was very hard to understand them when they called out the orders due to broken English and masks. They did work with people if their order was messed up. And they were polite. Let's get to the coffee and the food. I drink decaf coffee, and as soon as I took my first sip, I realized I needed another cup. It's a very smooth decaf coffee, even though it's on the boulder roast side. I did go back up and get another cup of coffee so that I had enough for the trip. I would like to recommend that they offer a larger 20 ounce cup at the airport for travelers that know they won't get a good cup of coffee anytime soon. They don't have any carriers available either so caring 2 cups of coffee is very hard for one person with luggage. The lids do not stack inside of each other so that makes it harder. If they found a lid that stacked inside each other that would help out especially at an airport location. Sausage, egg and cheese biscuit was very good. Biscuit was actually pretty flaky and flavorful itself. The sandwich was warm and not that much more expensive than a danish. I would recommend getting your coffee here and supporting a local business when possible.

The turkey and brie hot sandwich is yummy!

First of all, let's celebrate that we have a local coffee shop in our airport, repping Kansas City! I'm not a coffee drinker but I enjoyed my Brie and turkey sandwich for breakfast- they heated it so it was all nice and warm (a tiny bit cold in the very center, but even cold brie is delicious). Courteous service, local coffee... what's not to like? I'm thankful that I wasn't stuck with Starbucks at the airport.

The mocha tastes like milk and Hershey syrup. No coffee flavor.

Parisi, what happened?? Such a poor representation of the Kansas City coffee scene. The Parisi cafes in Union Station and downtown Overland Park are excellent and classy with good baristas and quality drinks. I decided to grab a coffee here ahead of my 10am flight. I ordered a small iced mocha. I guess they only do one size for iced. I believe it was 16oz. The service is okay. There was only 2 people in line so I didn't have to wait long, but there wasn't a single smile or any sort of polite customer service. As soon as my drink came out I had a feeling I wouldn't like it. I could see A LOT of chocolate sauce in the bottom of the cup. Frankly, it's disgusting. It tastes like chocolate milk made with Hershey syrup. Zero coffee flavor at all. Too sweet. Not the level of mocha I expect from a good KC coffee shop. I don't know if Parisi completely outsourced this location or if they "simplified" their process to make it easier for untrained baristas, but this is not up to their standards at all. They really need to get someone in here to bring it up to the level of other Parisi locations or else they should change the name because they're hurting their brand. Give this one a skip. There's another local coffee shop a little further into the airport inside the City Market food court if you're heading towards B Gates.

I was here very early in the morning and the line was not overly long. There was a large group of people waiting for their orders though. I went with a standard black coffee and had no wait for that. The breakfast sandwich that we had was mostly still cold unfortunately. Customer service was not great but also not awful. There is plenty of seating and it is in a good centra location. If I order here again it will be just for the coffee.

    Chai

Fast and friendly service and a surprisingly delightful Chai! I have found coffee lacking in Kansas City so when I went to Parisi I opted for an iced Chai. It is delicious! Typically a chai with light color is not my jam. This chai had just enough spice and paired wonderfully with my BLT from Brown and Loe. I would definitely recommend they iced Chai at Parisi Coffee

They have added Messenger Coffee drinks and expanded their pastry and small bite savory items with a seperate menu. It was a bit confusing for my first time visit, which door do I enter? Do I order at the kiosk? Do I wait to be seated? Some signs would surely help. After wandering around in both dining rooms and looking at a menu at the kiosk, I was finally approached and was seated in the cafe. The room has a relaxed feel with cozy chairs and tables, a few plants and books and some comforting classical music playing. I was immediately brought a water glass by my stylishly dressed waiter. I started asking a few questions about the menu, when he asked me to follow him to the other room where I could see the variety of baked goods in the glass warming case. I made my selection and was soon brought my ham and cheese Medialuna (small croissant), a Fat Biscuit (baked rolled dough) and my cappuccino. Pricing is a bit high but the service and atmosphere was above average and the vibe was relaxing after I understood the ordering system, and the menu was unique. A great little coffee / brunch option for the Tiffany Springs / Zona Rosa / MCI area.

(Especially in this economy) While ordering online, be aware that the time it says on the ordering portal/site is not generally accurate. I, on multiple occasions, have ordered something with a specific pick up time selected (I left plenty of time, thirty minutes from when I ordered to when I wanted to pick it up) and the food still was not ready. Ex: ordered at 11:30 am, pick up time of 11:55-12:00, food was ready closer to 12:10 and I received the 'your food is ready text' at 12:45 pm. While this isn't a bad thing if you have time, if you're on a tight lunch schedule I'd look otherwise. This location is also a bit smaller than their Parkville location, so if it's crowded it's very noticeable and can get a little overwhelming. I do prefer the Platte City location to Parkville though, as their Parkville location doesn't do that good of a job when I order online (this may just be me but I have to take it into consideration). Overall, I do recommend it, just be aware that it is pricey, when packed it can get a little overwhelming, and be aware of how long you have to eat.

The bagel was incredibly fresh, with a warm, slightly chewy texture reminiscent of homemade bread. My drink was made with half the usual sweetness, using creamy oat milk, and had a rich, balanced flavor that was very satisfying. Next time I'll plan to get a cinnamon roll - those are huge and look delicious!! I plan to add this place to my coffee-and-breakfast routine.

The restaurant has been open about four years, but the recipes go back much further. The family's original sister restaurant in Argentina dates back to 1987, and the food absolutely feels rooted in tradition and authenticity. This was actually my first experience trying Argentinian food. From the Milanesas section of the menu, I ordered the Napolitana, topped with tomato sauce, ham, and cheese. I later learned it's supposedly soccer legend Lionel Messi's favorite dish. To me, it reminded me a bit of a deep-fried German schnitzel, in the best possible way. It came with delicious fries that disappeared quickly. My wife absolutely loved the freshly made empanadas. One detail we thought was clever: each empanada is stamped with a number identifying the filling, which makes ordering and sharing much easier. The surprise star of the meal was the Rogel cake for dessert. Thin, flaky layers packed with dulce de leche and topped with toasted meringue/ rich, crunchy, sweet and absolutely unforgettable Another fun surprise was the robot that delivers the food from the kitchen before the server brings it to your table. A small touch, but memorable. The pricing is incredibly reasonable, especially considering how authentic and satisfying the food is. Definitely a hidden gem in Kansas City if you're looking to try something different.

When we said, 'We're putting our coats on, you don't have to turn the lights off on us, that's really uncalled for,' he responded curtly with, 'I already told you to leave,' followed by a cold look. He treated us in about the most unfriendly, unprofessional, harsh way you could treat polite customers who frequent here. There is a right way and a wrong way to go about letting customers know the establishment is closed and they would like you to leave. Especially after we spent $18 on 3 drinks (one was a small toddler drink). This was the very wrong, rude, unprofessional way to go about it. He was very cold and short in the manner he spoke to us and treated us, even in looks he was giving us. It was like he was taking his bad day out on us or something. If you're going to work in customer service, especially at a manager level, this is completely unacceptable, inappropriate, unprofessional behavior and a very rude way to treat loyal customers. We will never come back here because of his behavior, and we'll find another place to meet and have coffee with our friends.
