I purchased a used Honda here over 5 years ago. The vehicle had 150,000 miles on it. Ken answered all my questions patiently and truthfully. I had the vehicle looked at by a trusted mechanic and the repairs he had mentioned were all verified (new clutch and a few others). Ken is straightforward and ethical. There are not many places providing this kind of business. On a side note, it should be understood that this is a private, used car business. A lot of the low ratings, you can tell, are from a lack of knowledge about purchasing, or even maintaining a used, high mileage, car. The funny thing is how these folks are surprised when they receive quotes for repairs on their used vehicles. We had a very good experience purchasing a used Mazda here recently. Prompt in returning phone calls, extremely easy to book a time to view the vehicle, answered all questions with zero pressure. The car was one that didn't move from a larger dealerships lot fast enough, which meant it had brand new tires and other obvious maintenance typical of a large dealership sale. Price was the best deal we found in the Bay Area for this make/model/condition. Overall, I really don't can't understand the earlier reviews, and would happily buy a used car from Park Auto again. read more

After reading the reviews on here I was concerned about buying a car from this lot. I was looking for something very specific and this was the only place I could find the car I wanted at a reasonable price. Ken, was very easy to work with and didn't pressure, try to haggle, or try and upsell me. He was friendly and ultimately provided a no pressure sales experience. On my second test drive of the vehicle, I noticed the AC only stayed on for a few minutes then shut off. When I let Ken know about this issue, he immediately called his mechanic. I was told it was probably just a relay and to bring the car by the shop to have a new one put in. I bought the car and left for the shop. I was surprised to see Ken waiting for me when I arrived. I pulled my car right in and was surprised to be pulling in to a very professional looking shop. After a few minutes they determined it was not the relay. Ken then gave me two options, he would buy the car back from me or pay to have it fixed. It was the car I wanted so I was happy for him to fix it, I would have bought the car anyway and had it fixed myself but he said that we knew about the issue before the sale and he was willing to fix it. He did fix a headlight that was burnt out while I was there so I could go pick up my girl and go out without having to make another stop or being worried about getting pulled over. It took a couple of days for the part to come in, but then I made the appointment and brought it in the same day. Ken was there again and everything was extremely smooth. I was stoked about all of this and mentioned my previous reservations because of the yelp reviews. He said he's only owned the shop for a few months and most of them were from the previous owner. This is my first yelp review, and it's because I think the service and product were exceptional. I love my new car and the whole experience has been great. I think Ken went above and beyond, I would definitely buy from them again. read more

Ken is selling used cars that need $3,000+ of repairs to be safe to drive. I took a car from this lot to a mechanic, and the mechanic thought the car was massively overpriced in the condition it was in, and also unsafe to drive. On top of that, Ken tries to convince you not to look up the CarFax report, and not to pay in check, and although his business office has posted hours, he doesn't adhere to them at all, everything is done by appointment. Why even have posted hours? I know "honest used car salesman" is an oxymoron, but this place is truly not worth your time. read more

Ken is straight forward and honest when asked direct questions. His vehicles are typically well used, but they are priced well. Yes - all the b3gative reviews are true to some degree. It's true the cars may need some work - all used cars with higher mileage do. Yes - the lot looks bad. And yes - His customer service isn't great at all. Its not likd going to Lexus or MBZ...but then again it's a used car for CHEAP. With that if you are looking for 5 star all around, and are willing to pay a premium then go elsewhere. But if you're looking for decent wheels at amy used cat lot and for a fairly good price all things considered, you definitely may want to check out Park Auto...and tell Ken that Jay with the MBZ sent you! Also, I would advise a mechanic check, as with any used car, so you know what you are getting into. In all, you may find a good deal if you're willing to look past the flaws. read more

I've always bought used cars from private sellers. I have had bad experiences dealing with sleezy salesmen at all dealerships in general - so when I came across the add for an Acura RL with low mileage on craigslist I had some serious doubts especially after reading some of the reviews. But the deal was too good to pass up and I decided to make the drive to check out the car. I talked with Ken and he was very professional. I did not feel any pressure to buy the car what-so-ever. There were no hidden fees that were charged, pricing break down was very straight forward - I only paid the sales tax and licensing/registration fees on top of the advertised price . I was given the opportunity to take the car to an independent dealership to inspect the car. Ken had told me he purchased the car from Marin Acura and after a phone call the dealership confirmed they had sold it around the time that he told me he had purchased it. This process was very easy and stress free. I got a very good deal for a clean car (below KBB) and would definitely do business with Ken again. read more

I too was nervous about coming here because of the horrible reviews. I just moved out here from North Dakota and my trusty ol truck wouldn't pass smog. I looked around for a long time trying to find a decent used car but people out here nuts about how much they think they're cars are worth. I looked all over craigslist but people often wanted twice what KBB said I should pay. I risked going here and am happy I did. I got a good running car at a good price, I've had it for 3 months and no problems :) I'll miss my truck and have to get used to California and your monopoly money but I had to open up a yelp account to try and help out Ken. Went in looking to buy a vehicle for school and found this small Honda del sol. I patiently waited for the sales associate who I believe is the owner as well. Asian male about 5'5. I started to ask questions about the vehicle as I was looking at the moldy engine and corroded transmission. He aggressively told us If we didn't want to buy to go somewhere else instead. Pardon my French was this guy was a total dick! Needles to say I will never buy a car from this shitty establishment. Do not buy a car from here! I would give this place zero stars if that were possible. The salesman told us the car we bought had just had the brakes and oil pan replaced (he specifically mentioned both items), but within a week we had to replace both of those. There were also multiple other items leaking. We ended up spending $2000 on basic repairs and buying a different car from another lot on the same street within 6 months - that salesman told us other buyers had had issues with Park and even sued them. We had asked to see the carfax but should have gotten more documentation from Park about the repairs they *claimed* they did. Don't buy anything from here! read more
