This place is OK; nothing special, not worth raving about. The bagels are fine - quite ordinary - so if you have a craving, it will likely be satisfied. I do think there are other, better options within reasonable distance. Some tables are available for sitting and the ubiquitous TV hangs in the corner blaring out the day's talking head sessions, though you might choose instead to contemplate the fake plastic plant. The bagels are always fresh and thier egg sandwiches are always savory. My coffee is always made the way I like it. Unfortunately, its the staff that doesnt make this place five stars. I've been a frequent customer here for many years, and still they are not warm or friendly to anyone they help. Two of the ladies who work thier have EXTREMELY long hair and coming from someone who has work in the food industry for many years, thier hair should be pulled up with a hair net. I picked it apart in front of The owner to show him that it was only one egg. He argued with me that that was two eggs. He wanted me to pay for two eggs when it was clearly one egg. I had also ordered a bagel with vegetable cream cheese. When I open that it was obvious that it was plain cream cheese. Again argumentative that it was vegetable cream cheese. I am writing this review for my husband. His experience at this bagel store seems to always be a poor one. We live in the area so it is really convenient to stop in before work. Today will be the last time he goes here. He ordered the breakfast special and it comes with 2 eggs on a bagel with bacon, ham or sausage however he didn't want any meat on his sandwich so they told him they are charging him the full price and refused to give him the breakfast special price. They would have actually saved money by doing this. It isn't as if he added something more or substituted . He only wind up eating half of the sandwich due to the bagel being so chewy it just tasted horrible. Out of desperation I got a bagel from here today (really called Park Bagel). I was pressed for time and I have avoided this place for years and always went to Town Bagel even though 'Park Bagel' is 2 blocks away from me and Town Bagel is over a mile away next to Massapequa High School. Let me tell you, I should of had toast at home instead. The same owners run it and they make the same burnt, non boiled, tasteless, roll like bagel you can ever have. I guess it's convenient for people to come to because it's within walking distance of many homes in the area. That said, I'll continue to go to Town Bagel from now on. Tried these guys for the first time over a month ago for breakfast, and am completely satisfied. Why you ask ? Service, service service ! Fast efficient and they got the order correct everytime. Bagel taste is individual so these are the softer kind not real hard outer covering and my old teeth like em. Waited a month to do the review so I could see if it was a fluke getting the order correct every time. Nope, try em you will love em.
