I heard about Park Pizza opening through an article or blog I read, that explained this business had planned to open back in February but then covid-19 hit. It is located right across the street from Malcolm X Park As someone that is a flexitarian (no red meat) their menu is extremely versatile for us! They even have turkey meatballs, turkey meatball parm, chicken parm, eggplant parm and more. We opted for the Parco pizza which is like a supreme pizza but no sausage, and also had a large caesar salad. The pizza was great, good flavor on the sauce, good crust and very quick and friendly service. We personally like the cheese a bit crustier but I think we'll just have to ask for it well done next time. It's also very affordable, 16" parco ran us $13.50 + tax ! I'm definitely excited to try some more pies next time around and I'll be sure to update. read more

It started with me having a hankering for pizza. I don't come to philly often, but when I do, I have a hard time finding quality food. We stumbled across this place and it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I ordered three pizzas. Cheese, pepperoni and The Bianca pizza. The bianca pizza hands down is in the top three pizza that I've ever had in life. It was so hot, the crust was moist and the ingredients were quality! I will likely visit this place every time I come to Philly. The inside was clean. Staff were sweet. This place went from being one of the top spots in west philly to having the worst service I've ever seen. The girls at the front counter answering the phones are running the business into the ground. Picking up and hanging up on customers without saying anything. Blaming everything and everyone else when things go wrong instead of accepting accountability and changing their deplorable attitudes. To the business owner: don't let all you've worked for go down the drain because you hired the wrong people. Fix it fast before they close your store. Quality has gone downhill -- they have moved to some kind of lower quality blue cheese dressing on the buffalo chicken pizza which now features just a giant pool of grease on top. I'm no longer able to overlook the terrible customer service (it takes at least 5 minutes to pay and pick up a pizza that is already cooked because there's three of them in there and all of them are doing something other than helping customers) and the unbelievably long wait time (which is always underquoted). Park Pizza reminded me a lot of Brooklyn pizzerias I frequented when I was growing up. It wasn't always THE BEST pizza, but if you're in Brooklyn, pretty much any pizzeria is going to be pretty damn good, and that's definitely not the case in Philadelphia. From the canned black olives and mushrooms, to the thin crust that got slightly more hefty toward the outer edge of the pie, and some pretty good cheese (tasty and enough but not TOO much), this is definitely a place that I can rely on to satisfy that childhood nostalgia craving. The tomato sauce is just a tad too sweet for me, but Philadelphia pizza sauce seems to usually be sweeter than what I'm used to. The price definitely beats current Brooklyn pizza prices. We ordered a whole pie, but this would be a great option to just grab a slice (or two) as well, which is also not the norm for most Philadelphia pizza places I've been too. So on a humbug we ordered from here based on the stars and I wish I wouldn't have we ordered 2 cheessteaks and fries well as you can see based on my stars it was not worth it. I ordered extra pickles and got a total of 6 and the steak barely filled up the roll....the fries were crunchy as Idk what but NOT in a good crisp way more like hard bread. We were in town for a NAGA tournament, starving after the tournament we went back to our air bnb trying to find a decent place for pizza. We're from NY so easily we are kind of picky with what we get. As soon as we called the staff was extremely friendly! We apologized because we had a giant order with about 20 different variations of subs, wings, pizza ect. They immediately said no problem and took the order, repeated it back. Delivery was about 25 mins! The food was delicious- a few mistakes- but that's to be somewhat expected with an order as large as ours. The shop included some additional items for free! We were super grateful. They went above and beyond to thank us for our order and make sure we were happy. Remember its a pandemic- be grateful- tip well and appreciate restaurant workers! read more

Ordered a small margarita and small meat lover's pizza here tonight and it was fantastic. I think it may have even improved since a few months ago (when it was pretty good, but tonight it was great). Unlike other pizza places, dough was flakey, crusty, not too sweet. Just how I like pizza crust. And cheese and toppings were delicious. Ordered through Grub Hub (less delivery fees than Caviar) and arrived quickly. Will order delivery from here again. I have to admit that I don't usually order pizza, cheese steaks, hoagies, etc. for takeout. I had tried Park Pizza a few times when it first opened because it was new in the neighborhood and everything was great. But I haven't tried it since. I was prompted to try them again when they were featured in an Inquirer article on tomato pies. They did not disappoint. It was excellent. Everything about the experience was great, the ordering, the packaging, the delivery and of course the food. The tomato pie really is one of the best that I've had. I am contrite that I didn't continue to frequent this place and I intend to change that. These guys are great. read more
