Terrible customer service at the shipping counter. The gent at the counter could not give me the time of day to answer the briefest of questions, and it resulted in my Fedex document not arriving on time. I shipped via Fedex Priority Overnight. He wouldn't give me the time of day for any questions, but stated that it would arrive by 10:30 next morning. When I called Fedex on the phone later that day, they said arrival time would be 4:30pm, due to the destination address! I would have paid extra for First Overnight if the guy at the counter would have taken a minute to give a rats a**. I'm not returning to Park Slope Copy Shop. I would prefer to give this place no stars. They are totally incompetent. I wasted hours sending them proofs for a business card. After about ten attempts, I gave up and cancelled the order. I used them before and it was basically fine. My experience with them is the worst I have ever had. This is not my first business card or my first print job. I love that they take up where your home office left off. Prices reasonable, service fantastic, and it's especially great when your computer doesn't recognize your scanner and you need to get that doc to someone tout de suite! I also had good service from the computer repair people who work out of there. I think they'd get more business, though, if they (or a sign) were there more often. I usually use their services to do prepaid drop off's of my UPS, FedEx, Usps parcels. A few years ago they started to charge a dollar per package. That's when I stopped using them. Staples on fourth Avenue will take your drop off for free and they're so pleasant and helpful there. The staff at park slope copy is abrupt and sometimes rude. read more

I was in this shop for the first time last week copying a giant pile of documents, and was helped the whole time by a young man named Michael. I've interacted with all kinds of people at all kinds of copy shops over the years, and I've never encountered anyone who was as unfailingly helpful and genuinely kind as he was. He both came up with a brilliant solution to one of my problems on the fly, and was incredibly patient and friendly through my many questions. The man behind the counter was so cartoonishly rude I half expected snake-like video monitor devices to descend from the ceiling and start questioning my reasons for existing, just before two short stalky smelly men in bug eyed miners goggles and sweaty overalls materialized at my side to accuse me of the criminal gumption to ask for the company's advertised services, then gruffly escort me to the exit. Shockingly, this did not happen. It is possible, however, that later that day the rude man keeled over in the middle if his daily break of squirting hot sauce in his own eyes, dead of a Horseradishitis (an over dose of bitterness). I do not in any way wish this upon the suffering man, I merely mean to illustrate the height of his mean-spiritedness by way of metaphorical projection, all with the noble intent of a warning to you, dear reader, dear innocent seeker of shipping services. I desperately needed to receive a fax and while the women sending me the fax was struggling (PS who doesn't know how to send a fax?) the gentleman behind the counter checked to make sure the fax machine was working, gave the woman sending the fax tips and suggestions, and even stayed open late for me. Word around town is that The Park Slope Copy and Print Center is the best print shop boyyyy was that a lie! I went there Monday to drop off my father's obituary (which I needed by Wednesday) My first question was if it was possible to get them by Wednesday and THEY SAID YES! I didn't know what I need for the obituary so I told them I have pictures and the Bio, I ask for a proof on the spot before placing a order, and they told me no it's not possible right now. I thought it was fine since they are the best. Long story short I never got the proof it wasn't ready Wednesday morning like they promised me, the printing was horrible, the quality was dull. The employee was arguing with me down because I didn't like it and when I asked to speak with the manager he was not in!!!! I ended up spending $300 for something I didn't like and couldn't use. Yes, they offer a much needed service and it's convenient to be able to stop in and buy shipping supplies, but the staff needs to learn how to be polite and how to treat their customers with courtesy. I keep coming here simply out of convenience, and almost every time I'm a little shocked at how disgruntled and rude the employees are. The last time I went in, the employee helping me never made eye contact, never greeted me, and rudely interrupted me before I could even describe what I was looking for. He assumed I was shipping a box and curtly interrupted to ask how I wanted to ship it before I could even finish speaking. If he had taken 10 seconds to listen to me he would have known I only wanted to buy a box. Just listen to your customers and don't interrupt in a rude manner. On first glance, this place looks like "your friendly neighborhood copy shop." It even includes a pet cat. But once you deal with any kind of service, you'll quickly realize the staff is incompetent... I've tried this store twice, and both times they've messed up on very simple assignments... The first time I gave them a Flash Drive with several JPEG files, and clearly told them I needed the image printed an exact size on a standard 8.5x11 paper, and afterwards I'd use scissors to cut out any blank white spaces on the side. They took three days to print it (when other printing stores would do this in minutes), and gave me the printing job done completely wrong - with the image taking up the entire 8.5x11 paper. And they had a real "who cares" attitude... About a year later I decided to give this place a second chance because I like to support local business. I won't write out another story, but I'll just say that I left smacking myself in the head, wondering "What was I thinking? Why did I come back here?" Ask yourself: Even if you generally like to support local business - do you really want to pay more money, and wait an extra few days, all to receive your project done wrong? read more

He answered all of my questions and produced a proof for me so I could see everything before the project went through. Every time I go to Park Slope Copy, the staff is friendly and professional - plus, they always do a great job, no matter if it is a quick print or an in-depth job. I once made a large order for color booklets for my organization, and after we worked together to create a sample, PS Copy made a fabulous final product which impressed all the recipients. They have a user-friendly website for jobs over $10, lots of staff, several DIY computer stations, and a clean and accommodating workspace to gather your materials. During a rush (Friday afternoon / before a holiday), give them extra lead-time if possible. Lauren has been great, and managers Jon and Jamie are always professional and courteous. I have been to large chains in the area a few times for printing, though the customer service and attention to detail at PS Copy can't be beat! It's also nice to say hi to the store cat, who hangs out by the machines and window. read more

Their print quality is pretty nice, but my goodness, is the staff surly! I dealt with one person who was very friendly, but every other person (I had multiple jobs that week) was clearly involved in some sort of company-sponsored competition to utter as few syllables as possible. They also clearly don't understand their own online order form and seemed to feel it was my fault that they failed to follow instructions.
