My fiancee and I worked with Jon and the Park Slope Copy staff for the envelopes that mailed our Save the Dates for our upcoming wedding this fall, and we could not have been happier with the end product. We personalized gold envelopes using digitally printed script font and they were a huge hit amongst our guests who received them in the mail as we got amazing feedback on them. While our save the dates were smaller 3x5 magnets and with that came smaller envelopes, the final product looked exactly the way we envisioned regardless of size. I have never gotten things printed here because I abuse the free printing at my work... BUT I do use their package center for my deliveries. They are much cheaper than all the other places around and the guys are actually pretty awesome there. They remember my name and they are extremely kind and friendly. They even let me bring my huge Great Dane in there. Incidentally, once I had a package from Sephora delivered there and someone stole it. I complained and the owner reimbursed me for my package of make up. There is a new delivery system that controls everything and it emails you when you have a package! Superb! And one time their cat beat up my dog. Otherwise, not bad for a neighborhood copy shop. It's definitely no "Pop Copy." And thank god for that. read more

This place is good for the convenience. I needed some paper flyer things to be cut for me and I went to their store expecting to be waiting a very long time. The people working there are not the friendliest which was a bad sign I thought. This means I will be waiting years! the girl just took my instructions written on a piece of paper, said like one word and walked away tot all to some other guy in the back. I had no idea what to do since she didn't tell me if they can do it or not or how long will I be waiting or would i get a slice of pizza first?! Anyway, after about 5 minutes she handed me the box with the papers cut and ready to go. I was pretty excited that it was that fast! They did a good job on the product but they seriously need to be nicer to their customers. It's such a huge turn off it almost makes me not want to go back there. read more

So, I rarely write reviews, but I had to take time to compliment this business...First of all, when it came to pick up my job, they graciously opened the closed gate because I had gotten stuck in traffic and was running late! And, they rushed a job that didn't put much money in their pockets but were so gracious (thank you Jon)..and they blew up floorpans for me so reasonably, and quickly I couldn't believe it! (Sadly I can't remember the name of the young woman at the printing area (but a shout out to her because she was a rock star helping me!) If you are looking for anything other than the occassional b/w copy or a pack of ballpoint pens, look elsewhere. I had a professional print job for a presentation that needed a few booklets printed. After they botched the job they did the bare minimum to fix it and refused to do the job correctly. When confronting the owner/manager about it, his only excuse was that they were just a "neighborhood copy shop" ... I didn't realize being a local small business meant being incompetent. I've really only used this place for printouts and the like and never for large or complicated jobs. Yes, supporting local businesses is important, but these guys seem to think that gives them the right not to have much of a work ethic. There's often only one staff member working while three or four others hang around cursing and making crude jokes. Put it this way: it must considered a fun place to work by the high school students in the area -- no one expects you to do anything, and your manager has no problem with you being rude to the customers. Whenever there's been a problem with a printout, they've always been nice to me and given me a break on price, but that's probably also because I'm always nice to them first. Unfortunately, they ARE one of the only local services that does what they do, and that makes them a super-convenient place to use. However, the more they piss people off, the more their business will be in trouble. (Oh, and if you're emailing them a document to print, call them right afterward -- they don't seem to check the email at all during the day.) read more

I went to Park Slope Copy Center to make large format scans and prints outs for an illustration project i needed to ship. Knowing I was choosing a neighborhood place over a more professionally oriented copy center I went with a patient, reasonable attitude and honestly received amazing service. They were helpful and friendly and worked with me way past their closing time to help me get a project out. yes, the place is a little quirky but i prefer to spend my money at a local brooklyn business over kinkos (the service at kinkos never fails to frustrate and disappoint me). some of the tirades on this site seem more a problem with the customer than the copy center. read more

This is the place to go if you have completely designed something, PDFed it, and just need it printed. We printed our wedding invitations here. Staff was friendly and thorough. Major bonus points for the copy cats (house felines!!) We really enjoyed the vibe here. I wish I knew the young lady's name who I feel like really went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect. Prices are very reasonable. $0.50 for a color copy, $.12 for an 8.5X11" sheet of gorgeous linen-textured cardstock, and $1 per cut on their industrial cutter. ($1 per cut on a stack of 20 or 500) Tip: Bring your laptop and a flash drive just in case something does not print as you imagined, so you can make a quick fix. We were also happy to support a local business for such an important job! read more

Sent in my files (a birthday banner for my child) for estimate, received and estimate quickly. Also selected paper choice online. Accepted estimate and ordered. Job came to less than estimate. I get email to pick up, and they can't locate my order. They finally find it, and it is done on the wrong paper. Will not use their services again. Also, in regard to the note below that I sent my child in to pick up the order, you must have the wrong person. My 45-year-old husband is not my child. That is who picked up my order. read more

My fiancé and I found this shop on Yelp after basically being turned away by Staples. (We told the guy at Staples what we wanted and he said, "Yeah. That's not really gonna happen.") I am SO GLAD this happened because it led us to Park Slope Copy Center. Lauren helped us and was absolutely awesome. Not only did she get our print job done in under 10 minutes, but it ended up costing probably less than a quarter of what it would have been at Staples. Yes, they offer a much needed service and it's convenient to be able to stop in and buy shipping supplies, but the staff needs to learn how to be polite and how to treat their customers with courtesy. I keep coming here simply out of convenience, and almost every time I'm a little shocked at how disgruntled and rude the employees are. The last time I went in, the employee helping me never made eye contact, never greeted me, and rudely interrupted me before I could even describe what I was looking for. He assumed I was shipping a box and curtly interrupted to ask how I wanted to ship it before I could even finish speaking. If he had taken 10 seconds to listen to me he would have known I only wanted to buy a box. Just listen to your customers and don't interrupt in a rude manner. A simple good morning and thank you will also go a long way. read more

I went in one morning a little after 8:30am. I chose this over UPS down the street because it opened earlier. I needed to ship something, and the woman who ships things apparently just wasn't in yet, though she was supposed to be. Although he surprisingly did not know anything about shipping and could not help me, the only employee present was very kind, and even called his colleague twice to see where she was. "Very close--on the way," both times in a 20-minute span. (I almost want to give two stars because I really did like that guy.) By the time 9am rolled around and she still wasn't there, I walked down to the UPS shipping store (next to Donuts) and got my very simple shipping need taken care of very quickly. I get that delays can happen with the train, and that people critical to businesses can run late. But if you think that might happen often, it wouldn't hurt to train all of your employees to do the two basic functions of your store: copying and shipping. I'm sure they can be great and fine -- but really, if you need to ship something, call first to make sure the employee who can run the shipping side of the store is actually present. read more

Went there today and experienced an incredible amount of attitude and disrespect from a young scrawny white kid with short dark hair. Offensive almost to the point where action needed to be taken (to put him in his place). Unfortunately, there aren't many copy centers left anymore so this is one of the few remaining spots to print my work out. Park Slope Copy is bomb.com. They were able to accommodate my print job in less than 24hrs. Also, the price that they quoted me over the phone was lower once the job was complete. When a woman went missing and I was asked to help spread the word about her disappearance, it came time to print, post, and distribute posters. I called and spoke with Jamie who was extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. Shortly after, I received an email that the Park Slope Copy Center team were going to to donate 1000 color "MISSING" posters to the cause. The posters were created just a couple of hours later and looked beautiful. The happy ending is that due to all of the visibility through media and posters, the mission woman was located and delivered safely to her family. It's small businesses like these with salt of the earth business practices and a high quality product with human staff that make me so proud to be not only a New Yorker but a Brooklynite. Great quality printing and friendly service! I placed an order for 12"x18" color prints on a thick paper stock. The printing was beautiful, on time, and very affordable. I've also printed on the computers here and it was quick, pleasant, and low-cost. I love being able to skip the corporate-copy-shop-nightmare and come to this great neighborhood place! read more
