I wish I didn't need to write this, but it is critical that you not experience what I have. I first called Parkers & Sons to work on a clogged toilet. I had called a couple of other companies which were not able to fix the problem. Parker's came out and after a couple of plumbers had not been able to diagnose it, one new gal came out and reported it seems to be a problem in the main drain and that I'd have to have the line jetties. She would report and have the jetty crew come out. This new crew explained what would happen and they got to work with the jetty. To shorten this some, it took them all day but ultimately they reported that they think they were finally getting to the problem. The day ended with them telling me it was cleared out. Except that it wasn't. I couldn't tell you how many plumbers from Parker's came out, each one reporting they had been successful. Except they weren't. Five, six.. seven? Lost track how many. They kept accusing me of flushing cat litter and were threatening to void the warranty they never even gave me. Yes. I do have a cat. No, I do not flush the litter. One of the plumbers told me he had to cut a hole in the cementboard skirting. I reacted because the management was going to go ballistic on me. Peter responded that, "No, they won't even be able to tell." The hole in the skirting exposed an additional clean out. More work on the drain was done. But, similar to the earlier visits, it seemed like maybe this time it had been fixed. Except, By now you know the problem yet again presented itself. It took one more trip from them before it actually got fixed. I still had to repair the hole Peter said management would never notice. I spent thousands of dollars and spent better than two weeks with out any plumbing or water because they were so challenged to get the fix done. In the beginning, before I realized what a fiasco it was, I signed on for a monthly plan with them. So, I had them come out to conduct an inspection of the HVAC. I told their worker that AC in particular had issues in that it didn't cycle right and had a major leak in the past. After he was done, he reported that the systems worked, that the AC was a little inefficient but that nothing was in need to repair at the moment. Guess what? I have included a photo of my thermostat this afternoon and after it has run all day. All day. It is currently 5:20 pm. ​ I am submitting my review in the hopes you can learn from my experience. UPDATE: True to their miserable reputation, here I am with the same issue. They did not correctly diagnose the problem. They were out last time around multiple times. I gave up calling them back because their incompetence was obvious. Flash forward to now. Same problem. None of the male plumbers correctly diagnosed the issue. The only one who would correctly diagnose the issue was the lone female plumber. Of course she wouldn't be sent back. All the others ridiculed her. Now, I knew who not to call. In 90 minutes, released all the backed up crap, routered the system, filmed it and got the problem identified. There was a breach in the system where sand was coming into it, exactly what the gal said. Parker got thousands of dollars from me, didn't get it right and repeatedly said I was flushing cat litter. Nope, didn't then, don't now. Unless you have thousands of dollars just hanging around, do not call this company. And the guy I got this time? $300. There is still part of it to do yet, but I have every confidence that my guy will get it right, unlike Parker. They are predatory, looking for vulnerable seniors to fleece. Don't do it. read more

Our AC went out Thursday afternoon. We called and scheduled an appointment for the next day with them between 10-2pm window. Got a call at 1pm that we were next on the list and we would get a call when the tech was about 30 minutes away. 2:30 hit and nothing yet so we called back and we're assured that yes we were on the list still and someone would be out. 4:30 rolled around and same thing, we called and asked if we were still on the list and yes, they would for sure be out on Friday. Well come 6:45 they called to say they can't come and could they reschedule for Monday? We said how about tomorrow? They hemmed and hawed a bit but agreed to get us "first on the list for Saturday morning between 8-10am (not sure how that puts us "first" but whatever). Well Saturday morning no calls, we reached out at 10:15am and got their answering service who said they'd get a message to them to see what was going on and have someone call us. No call, just a text that our appointment is on Monday 10-2pm. At that point we just called around to smaller companies and found Semper Fi, talked to a real person in the company that actually asked questions, got details, and got us on the list for Saturday evening. Semper Fi came out same day about 6:40pm fixed the issue in 20 minutes (fried part outside). Highly recommend Semper Fi over calling Parker and Sons who is apparently to big to care about customers now days. If you can't get someone in quickly whose AC is out don't screw around and say you can. We spent 3 days in hotels because of this. Very frustrating and bad experience with Parker and Sons. read more

AC went out and I made an appointment online at their website. I needed to rearrange my work schedule in order to be at the house for the technician. The appointment was set several days in advance with a four-hour 2 pm to 6 pm window according to their website. I received text reminders asking me to call if I would be unable to be present at home during the scheduled appointment time. I was waiting at home during the scheduled time, no-one called or arrived. I called Parker and Sons and was told that a technician was assigned my ticket and not to worry, he was busy but would call me. The dispatcher couldn't give me a time frame on when to expect the call. I waited another two hours and heard nothing. I called them again, the dispatcher told me that making an appointment online leads to problems because it does not take into account how busy technicians will be. Parker and Sons may have great technicians, I don't know. I cancelled the appointment and got someone else out to the house. But if Parker and Sons isn't competent enough to manage their technicians, or at least call a scheduled customer if the technician is running late, I don't that the service would be that good. read more

We are very satisfied with the service we received from that company. They are definitely not your Average Joe! We had a humming noise and slight vibration in a bedroom that sounded like it was coming from inside a wall; noise came on every morning around 5 am, and lasted about 30 minutes. I called an electrician company, who sent someone who tested everything and said it was a power surge every morning; they advised replacing all receptacles and upgrade the circuit box even though the house is only 5 years old . The electrician could not really identify the problem with any certainty. Next day, April, 30th, 2024, I called Parker and Son for a second opinion. Their electrician came in the afternoon, checked all the electrical and diagnosed the problem. It was not electrical! The noise was due to a sprinkler valve going bad. When the sprinkler system went on, it would vibrate up against the wall of our home, causing the humming noise every morning for about 30 minutes. He suggested a plumber replace the valve and he did not charge us a for the service call. We are very happy with how thorough and knowledgeable the Parker and Son electrician was, and we would definitely recommend the company. read more

Absolutely despicable company. Customer beware. They do not care about you once they have your money. Parker & Sons installed a brand new unit for us in April 2023. We've had issues every 6-8 weeks since. They continued to put a bandaid on a bigger problem. Now the situation has escalated, gallons upon gallons of water is coming out of our unit and ceiling for going on 4 days now, and it's been determined it's due to a poor install (the drain pan is flat so it overflows often). We had a tech come out 3 days ago, who acknowledged it was their poor install and the situation was "worse than he thought". He said the install team would reach out asap. We have not heard from them since. Parker & Sons refuses to call us back or offer a solution. Any time we call, we get the runaround from the front desk gal who claims she cannot connect us to a manager. We are told "a manager will call this afternoon" or "a manager will call within the hour". An empty and disappointing promise. Sad to see that a company who acknowledges they made the mistake, will not even remotely attempt to rectify it. We had a new A/C unit installed almost a week ago. It went smoothly, and so far everything seems to be as it should. I am concerned with some of the other reviews that I have read and hope I don't experience some of what they have had to go through. I also read the positive reviews. My longtime friend on Roma replaced her unit a few years ago, and she is VERY pleased with her unit and the service she has been provided. I hope this will be the same for me. I use to think Parker and Sons was a good honest company. I had my AC checked a few weeks ago by Matt. He told me my ac was working as good as it could be. Understood since my unit is 11 years old. He then tried to sell me insulation for my attic. I said NO. It would cost 3-5 thousand dollars and he asked 3 more times if I wanted someone come out to look at my insulation in the attic. How many times do I have to say NO? I would rather put that money into a new HVAC unit when needed. They are very expensive! Then today I saw a charge on my credit card statement for $157 and change for a "family plan" maintenance that I DID NOT authorize in any way, shape or form. I couldn't believe they had the nerve to charge me for this!! Almost seems illegal. I called and spoke to Mario who was understanding and assured me that the charge would be refunded in the next 10 business days. I hope this is true. Now I will need to look for an honest company to take care of HVAC, plumbing and electrical services. I'm very upset and disappointed. They have cancelled our prepaid scheduled tune-up the last 3 or 4 services the day they are supposed to come out. I scheduled the appointment June 28th and the soonest they can get us on schedule is September 3rd, 2pm to 6pm. I received a text message at 2pm that day stating it was cancelled and to reschedule, I returned the text and they never responded. I find this to be unacceptable. First of all we are due a winter and summer tune-up every year and they can't even get us on the schedule for summer. Even if you schedule far in advance they can cancel last minute. If you are good at contractor selection and know how to get 2-3 bids then use these guys if they are even close to low bid. They are worth it. The lack of quality in their techs, customer service, and quality of work isn't worth it.I called this company and they replaced a faucet in my shower w/ a new cartridge however, their sr technician put the cartritcge in backwards, really? backwards, a sr tech, go figure. standards must be low. I had to call and they had to send another tech take time out of my day to amuse them to do the job right the first time. You'd think a sr tech would test before he leaves.  At the end of May 2024 I called Parker and made them aware that the faucet was leaking again. They sent some fuddy duddy out to my home who sat his beehind on the tub and that would be about it. He literally told me to jiggle the handle piece to get rid of the residual water in the faucet and up and left. 2 wks later calling Parker and Sons again to come out to my home. More time out of my day, because the fuddy duddy thought I was some dumb girl. I say this because all he cared to speak on was the patch grout work I did to fix a bandaid. Had nothing to do with the leak. So they sent me the same "sr" tech who put the cartridge in backwards to replace my whole shower knob and faucet. He failed to tell me the initial cost of the replacement. Instead he stated that he was taking $500 off from what I previously paid and then stated that because I was a Parker Family Member he'd give me an additional $100 off, for a grand total of $847.Stupid me, I should've asked and requested a copy, however after being inconvenienced already for 2 hours, I signed and he started working. The next day I had to call to get my invoice which took all day to get. When I looked at the initial cost, minus the $500 plus $100, doing the math it was only $500. So I had to call them again, They stated that they would reach out to the tech and call me back. Shocking, no call back. So, yup called the next day. Would you believe they called me a liar! I requested to speak to a supervisor I was put on hold. I was told that they would send the request for the $100 refund and would take 7-10 days.Now, you would think that a professional plumber would clean the surface before working, and would seal it properly to match the tile.This sr tech left a mess all over my bathroom floor, and didn't even bother to rinse the dirt and grime off the floor of my tub. But the worst part was, and the issue this whole time was the fact that this "sr" techn cracked my tile and then didn't seal it properly, and sealed it with clear caulking! Heaven forbid if you actually put white caulking around a chrome faucet. I'm not a plumber and google would've told me better.  I requested to have a supervisor call me. I had my phone on me all day, no calls, so I called in the evening that same day. Again they called me a liar stating that they called my phone two times and left vm. I'd be more than willing to submit phone records that again they lied. The next morning I got a call from the supervisor. I explained the incompetence of himself and his staff. The arrogance of calling me a liar, and the lack of communication and education in their field of "expertise". Then as I'm explaining to the plumbing supervisor the issue I had with the repair, he stupidly begins questioning the grout leaking. Sir, you did not touch my grout, I didn't hire you for my grout, what does the grout have anything to do w/ the replacement work your company did? This is the quality or lack thereof that Parker and Sons has for their technicians and for their customers. You are an absolutely despicable company. A week of phone calls, gas lighting and complete incompetence by everyone I have spoken to. I will no longer refer to or even reference this company. He didn't do a single thing to test the unit, not a single tool was used. He didn't even ask us to turn it on.. After only looking at it for 10 minutes, he then wrote us an estimate of $17,000.00. I told him I thought the price seemed high. He then charged me $80 cash for his 10 minute visit. LOOK ELSEWHERE!! Purchased a Bosch mini-split unit for my business. Estimate and install were done quickly, all the employees were friendly and professional. Unfortunately it had a leak and then during the repair process the electrical board got toasted. I had the unit down for half the month after install. The sense of urgency was lacking in terms of getting the warranty part expedited to complete the repair. Finally after a lengthy process of escalating my complaint, they expedited the repair and I am satisfied (and cool again). You might pay a little more than the competitors, so you expect a higher level of surface. I did sign up for the Parker Family plan and am reconsidering that due to the first estimate I received for recommended plumbing work seems very high. I edited my review after the repairs were made. I do think a little better sense of urgency is needed for warranty issues, but every employee I have interacted with have been very friendly and the installers have performed quality work. read more

We have always been very pleased with the service we have received from Parker & Sons. We've used them for several things in our home through the years from electric to plumbing to HVAC, etc. We are always very satisfied with their service, and we have, in fact, enrolled in the Parker family plan. We just had them install a water softener system and an RO system. They explained everything in great detail beginning with the sales visit and again after installation was completed. I've had 2 techs come to look at my a/c in the past 2 days. One said I needed $2.8k+ of work done w/out an assessment of the overall AC system. The second came out, charged me $79 to tell me there is nothing they can do for me until November or December..... REALLY...is it now the American Way to charge for a service not received? this is a follow up for my AC issue. I did speak with a supervisor his name was ED. The parts house was closed. it was late Friday. Monday when the Train parts house opened up two technicians arrived at my home . they proceded to install my indoor fan motor. They found a factory defect in the motor bushings and went all over phoenix and to Tolleson for my parts. They drove miles. I live way north of phoenix Tolleson is far south. We upgraded both our water heater and water softener systems. Service techs and staff were responsive and always on time. During the process we discovered some drywall damage and Parker even had techs avail to promptly repair. We upgraded our traditional water heater to a tankless system and a traditional (resin) water softener to a 2 piece softener and we could not be more pleased. Every area was clean and tidy when complete. All techs answered questions and went through the systems with us. This has been the most positive plumbing experience of my lifetime. While i think the price is on the higher end it was well worth it for the prompt responses, no cancelled appointments and exceptional clean-up. Highly recommend! read more

I am SO disappointed in my experience with Parker & Sons. My husband and I booked an appointment online to have a plumber come out and deal with a plumbing issue we are having at home. My husband gave both of our phone numbers so we could be contacted to confirm and then to be notified when someone was on their way. I was called twice while in a meeting at work I could not leave and when I called back they confirmed my appointment window for the day (2-6PM) and let me know that if I didn't answer when they called I must immediately call back or they would skip our appointment. Fast forward to after the appointment time (for which I took off of work) and no one ever called or showed up. We called and the lady "apologized" by saying we should have been notified but we got skipped because there was an "emergency" appointment near us and they took priority for all technicians (not sure how that's fair but okay). We told her we were disappointed especially when she tried to reschedule us for another 4 hour appointment slot tomorrow so she said she would try to get someone to come out tonight. After a few minutes on hold she promised she got us someone and they would be out in about 30-45 minutes. We finally got a call from a technician over an hour later saying they could "fit us in" between 11:30 and midnight. No thanks. Needless to say we will be finding another company and will be cancelling all of our A/C tune ups we had signed up for as well. Very disappointed in the lack of care and customer service. Initially had a disappointing experience with a smaller company. Went through Costco who works with Parker & Sons. Within an hour of going through the Costco system I was on the phone with Joe Lord of Parker & Sons. He spent a great deal of time with me tolerating my back and forth of what type of system to choose. He was not pushy either way but I knew I had to choose something. After I made the decision he was at my house in an hour. We proceeded with all the steps needed and he had the installation scheduled for the afternoon... it was SATURDAY!!!!! Every single tech who arrived to install different aspects - was professional and clearly an expert on what they were doing. Let me just start by saying that I rarely leave reviews at all and i am never bothered enough to leave a review. We use Parker & Sons for our AC maintenance and I am very disappointed with the level of service commitment they are giving customers. We have used them in the past and have been very satisfied with them until recently. I had called to schedule for them to come look at the AC. We were scheduled for a Thursday morning 8am - 10am. I got a call closer to 10am letting me know someone would show up after 10am. OK no problem. I called in for an update and was told they had no time frame anymore. Ok, no problem i rescheduled for the following day, Friday from 2pm - 5pm. I get a call around 2pm letting me know that they are on their way and if i need to reschedule to give them a call. Well.... I don't need to reschedule so i wait for them to arrive. They arrived, rang the ring doorbell and in the moment it took from me to get from my home office to the door i saw them get in the van and take off. Now, do you expect for the customer to run out into the street and start hollering to get your attention so you can stop and come in? Or do you expect that customers just sit at the door and wait so that we can open the door in 1.2 nanoseconds? I called back and spoke to a rep who said that parker and sons had been trying to get in contact with me. Well, now your reaching because you called ONCE to let me know your on your way and explained if i needed to reschedule to call which I did not need to reschedule. I am told i can be put on the roster but they could not give me a time frame and i would basically be waiting for someone to show up at that point. I mean come on, i totally understand that there is a shortage of employees but do you really think that it is logical to ring a doorbell get back into your van and not give the customer a damn chance to get to the damn door?! Received a quote from parker and sons for ~$700 to swap out a pre-wired light fixture and move an outlet box maybe 6 inches to the left - "Well find someone cheaper then!" - I did, they were licensed and it ran me about a quarter of what I was quoted here. The electrician who came out was professional and friendly which I appreciated. Still though, not worth $700. What I do not appreciate is the continued billing for this VIP plan they sell you on. I tried to cancel it March 25th, it is now end of April, and I'm still getting charged. Talked to Ellis in the office who claims this is getting resolved within 14 days. He would not give any written confirmation this is the case, so we'll see! read more

I had a 12-year-old water heater. Rather than risking it going out and causing damage (and a mess), I purchased a new electric water heater. Most installation companies require that you purchase the new water heater through them... and then they charge you 2-3x what the water heater actually costs. To avoid that expensive debacle, I purchased mine direct from Home Depot... and then set up installation with their dedicated installer -- Parker & Sons. Parker & Sons does not have the best reviews, so I admittedly was a little concerned. Well, Chris came out handled the job with the utmost professionalism... and did a fantastic job on the install! From draining and removing the old one to bringing in and leveling the new one... to getting the plumbing lines and power secured! I was approached at Home Depot to get a free estimate on a new HVAXC which was going to be performed by Parker & Sons. After looking at the reviews on Yelp.....the bullying, upselling, overpriced quotes, I decided to cancel. When they called to confirm, I canceled the visit. They called again to ask me to reschedule...I told them no, I was not interested....they called AGAIN and now I just blocked them. NO means NO. I needed my kitchen faucet replaced. I had Parker and Sons come out Monday to give me an estimate. Over $400. to replace the faucet. I had 2 plumbers, with highly rated yelp reviews, in addition give me an estimate. The highest was $129. I called Parker and Sons after to question the inflated cost and was told a manager would call me back. It is a week later and no manager has called. I called Parker and Sons back today and asked them about the inflated quote and lack of a managers return call and they said a manager did try to call one time and closed the case because they could not reach me. NO manager called as no voice mail was left nor caller ID from Parker and Sons was on either my landline or cell phone. They were given both numbers. I would not recommend Parker and Sons. There are too many qualified and highly rated plumbers out there that actually care about your business. read more

I would like to preface this review with the fact that I have used Parker and Sons for pretty much every major repair in my home since I purchased it last January - totaling over 30k in work done. Generally I had positive experiences with Parker and Sons in the past and appreciated their responsiveness and thorough contractors. However, I recently got my A/C Unit replaced from them earlier this year and the experience has been dreadful to say the least. First off, the salesman Josh Salow who sold me the unit was completely useless the second I signed the contract. He basically got his money and vanished. Furthermore, in addition to my A/C replacement I also paid for the following items as part of my contract: - A/C Repair - Dampers to control airflow - Insulation added to attic - duct cleaning & duct work All of this is part of the 14k+ that I paid for. Unfortunately for me they came and did the A/C installation and the insulation but neglected the dampers & duct work that I also paid for. The worst part is that they tried to collect payment in full when not all the work was done! I tried calling Josh Salow many times and left voicemails but was met with silence. They also damaged my ceiling during the insulation install as someone stepped on the ceiling while they were in the attic and there was a massive crack all along the length of my living room ceiling!! The worker tried to question whether it was there before and was pretty skittish when I asked how this was going to be fixed - once again Josh was 0 help... I had to call corporate and schedule the damper install and duct work myself as well as the ceiling repair. If I had been less attentive I basically would have been paying a few extra thousand for work that I never received - and been out another couple thousand to fix my ceiling. They finally finished the duct cleaning today and this was just a cherry on top to how bad this entire experience has been. The workers didn't put enough plastic tarps down and there is dust all over my house!! My office desk with important paperwork and my computer was completely covered in dust. When I woke up this morning my kitchen table was also completely coated in dust! They also left one of the few plastic tarps that was placed down in my spare bedroom (lol). I am just so disappointed in this company as it seems they have a very inconsistent staff of workers and the quality is just not what it should be for the price. I will be cancelling my Parker family plan today and try to use other companies going forward as my trust with this company has been deeply damaged by this experience. read more
