I recently left a 5 star review for the installation of a new heat pump system. What I should have added is - beware of the upsell They kept coming up with one more thing - one more thing - one more thing. When they surpassed the $20,000 Mark on a 1700 sq ft home. I said ENOUGH! Today they came out to do the PEAK (post inspection) and tell me the duct work up in my attic (which I would presume they had attached the system to -:wouldn't you?) is not connected, is too short, and needs to replaced. I didn't even ask how much. I will just look for another company. read more

In all honesty, Parker brother seems like a used car salesman when they came out here to do the diagnostic for my air conditioning. The guy quoted me almost $16 $1,700 to fix a fan. Then when I said that that was too much and I was not going to do it. He asked me how much would I be willing to pay and I said I probably wouldn't pay no more than $600 $700. He goes out to his truck to do some paperwork and charge me for the diagnostic and then comes back and says oh my God. I just talked to my supervisor and we found out that that fan on your air conditioning has a 10-year warranty. So all I would have to do is just charge you for the labor and guess what it comes out to $600. Why didn't he just say that from the beginning instead of going through all that hoopla trying to take money from me that I don't have? I'm never using Parker and sons ever again. A friend of mine also tried the same thing and they dig the exact same thing. Everybody needs to go somewhere else do not do not go to Parker and sons. They're a bunch of rip-off artists read more

We had our AC go out yet again. American Home Shield just kept authorizing companies to out a bandaid on it instead of replacing the unit which was about 25 years old. Called Parker and Sons, had our new AC up and running in 2 days. Shortly after we needed a faucet in our bathroom replaced during a renovation. They were out the same day, showed my husband some major issues that surprised the plumber and my husband that we had not had a flood. Everything was completed and up and running the same day. Everyone is very professional and excellent at explaining things. Highly recommend. read more

We had Marc did our 6-month service check-up. Very pleasant and very efficient. He is the ONLY technician EVER to ask us if we would like him to change out our air-conditioning filters. We called Parker and sons because our heat went out. The tech, Alex, showed up early and within 5 minutes diagnosed the problem. Seems a month or so ago when George Brazil was here to perform a "routine" check on the unit "forgot" to reattach a wire causing a fan switch to burn up. Alex replaced the switch in 10 minutes and this elderly household had heat again. Thank you to Alex and Parker and sons. We look forward to years of service. read more

The kitchen faucet in our rental property had a leak. We contacted Parker and Sons to facilitate an estimate and repair. The coordination was very easy and they did a good job facilitating. When the repair person showed up, he knew we were out of state and thought he'd pounce on the Coronavirus/out of state opportunity. The initial estimate was for almost 800.00 to install a faucet and replace the shut off valves under the sink. The valves are a 19.99 item ea. at home Depot and the install takes about 20 minutes. This company wanted 400.00 for that service which we declined. Since there was a leak causing mold problems we felt pressured to move forward with the faucet installation for 388.00! OK, but not happy. After the installer left, the occupant sent a photo of the install. This guy smeared on un matching, white caulk and did not match the tan grout that is clearly visible throughout the entire countertop. When I messaged over and over to return to the house to fix the grout to match, no response. This company is over priced, will take advantage of you if you don't know what you are doing and will ignore any issues...counting the money and celebrating! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. WORST experience ever, and they were looking to earn our business back. Had a quote to replace a small circulator fan from our current HVAC company, and wanted a comparative quote. We used them previously and were ok so gave them a shot. Called them and scheduled a tech for an estimate with Craig. Explained repair/replacement (small fresh air fan in ductwork) in detail using current quote, and was assured tech was set and would be there between 1-3p. Received a call from Josh, another CSR with them "following up" on the appointment set with Craig. Then received another call from Josh to say tech was not able to make the 1-3 and it would be 3-5. Ok, good with that. Tech named Raul shows up and has paperwork saying I wanted a new HVAC system and was here to measure. I corrected their error and he offered to look at what was requested by me anyway. Goes into crawl space and finds fan I called about. Said it is what they call a "fart fan" and that he does not handle that part of system and would have another tech come out instead. (he took pic of fan and called supervisor to report in) He said twice that a dispatcher would call me to schedule. This was Sat afternoon. I get a call on Sunday at 8a from tech named George. Said he was 20 min away and wanted to know if he could come by. Okay, early but agreed. Mind you, no call etc from Parker office to schedule like Raul said when leaving. George arrives and does not know what kind of fan I am referring to. Showed him wall switch and rehashed whole story for a third person from Parker. Goes up in crawl space and does evaluation. Said he will get me a quote now if parts available and be back in shortly. Rings bell 10 min later and says "my supervisor Garardo said we should not do the job as it was not installed properly." "He suggested we walk away from this as it would be best." I asked why my current company in Chandler (Precision) would quote the job and not them. He again said they don't want to do the job and mentioned "liability." I asked if there was an alternative and he said they will look into it and call me on Monday. Don't understand the lack of professionalism poor CS actions with their techs. I can say we will not be doing any business with them and "Bigger is not Better." Very true here. read more

Reception was generally helpful, but once the job was finished, they refused to let me speak to the person who completed the job. Other than that, the service was too-notch. They evaluated my system and replaced it over the weekend, practically throwing in an RO unit and some additional items. We purchased a heat pump system for our home. The lead tech Quinn, and Isaak came on time as scheduled. They kept me informed as to what they were doing and how long it would take. Despite the challenges they ran into they remained pleasant and positive. They worked hard and long to get the job done right! They left nothing to be cleaned up when they were done. We are very satisfied with the outcome. If we need service in the future we will request them. Called a technician to our house to diagnose a leaky water heater/tank that popped a breaker the night before. He said the condition was not repairable without even attempting to troubleshoot or even remove the cover panel with two screws where the water was trickling out. He focused on trying to sell us a new heater ranging from $6K - $10K and was eager to run our credit and seal the deal immediately. We got a second opinion from Christian Brothers. They troubleshot the unit to a bad heating element. He replaced it and everything is working perfectly again for a small fee. After talking to family/friends, they too have had the same experience with Parker and Sons. Some have even gotten ripped off for thousands, which was what they were trying to do to us. Parker and Sons lied to try to get a big sale. Very unethical. Do not use this company. read more

Parker & son is full of false promises. They claim to be a family owned/operated company that cares about the customer. What they care about is sales. I joined them under a service contract based on them looking to be reliable. Signed up for month to month contract on two AC units, they provided me my first service date and they would arrive 10am - 2pm, tenet rearranges the day to be available. No call or message from them, I had to call them to get a status. AZ gets hot and on this day they had a bunch of emergency request, which I understand. They state they will call me in 2 hours to provide me an update, of course no response. I call back and they tell me they are checking and will call back, again no response. Finally at 8pm I get a call, they will be there in 20 minutes but can no longer do maintenance only repair since it is after hours, I will have reschedule maintenance another month. Problem is that I will not have a tenant at the time and they will not work on equipment unless someone is at the property. Provided alternative dates while someone is at the property, they denied working on my service even after they cancelled the initial day we had set up. They are fast to get you sign up for a contract and take your credit card, but the first to not help when they make you change all your plans. I wouldn't recommend them for future work. I have cancelled my contract with them and will not use again. read more

I previously purchased a heat pump from Parker and Sons and it was time to replace it. I called them for a quote and a great salesman came out. The first price was more than I could afford but we worked to find discounts and got me within the budget I expected. Two days later, the installers showed up on time and since I work from home, I explained I need it as quiet as possible. They did the work, both outside and inside, being careful not to let my cats out as they came in and out. I wanted the condensation drain to drain into a plant growing near the patio and they altered the pipe to do just that. Both Angel and Noe were very professional and were willing to explain things to me when I got a break from my job. If I have to give one bad point it's that things that fell off the roof (marker, rubber tubing, plastic bag and miscellaneous dirt) were not cleaned up. Nothing major though. Parker is a bit more expensive than other companies but I know their work and reputation. My new unit is very quiet and I'm hoping will save me some money on my electric bill! read more

My three positives and a negative because the world needs more positivity: + Incredible customer service - 99% of the time when I call, the reps are friendly, helpful and get someone out in a timely manner. There is only one time (at 2 am when our sump pump failed) that the rep was horrid (but I will chalk it up to early morning - crap shift) + P&S stands by their work. My husband and I just moved to Arizona in April. We've had 2 ACs (expected), a water softener (now fantastic), a water heater (painful), a sump pump (excruciating), and most plumbing (varied) replaced. We've added a recirculation pump (amazing), pressure regulator (dumb but somewhat helpful), and reverse osmosis system (necessary). For a while, I'm certain our neighbors thought we worked for P&S. It has not been an easy road. For example, the first water heater (75 gallon gas) finished installing at 10:30 pm. When it was turned on, it had a manufacturer leak and had to be replaced the next day. Things were fine for about a month then we noticed the water just wasn't getting hot. Four visits later (including one technician who said the water wasn't hot because of work we were doing in the master shower which made zero sense), the heating component was finally warranted out and things have been good since. I'd say, half of our follow-up visits have been to replace work done earlier (leaking RO, leaking toilet supply line, replacement toilet lid, incorrectly installed AC wiring) and half have been due to things out of their control + There are true bright spots. Management (Stephen Hopple and Josh Quinata ) from the water treatment side of the house (who did a lot of the plumbing work which really confuses the CSRs) have been outstanding. After chasing a non-existent leak (as reported by the water softener), they rerouted the water line to the pool and replaced (with an upgrade) the water softener free of charge. While I'm confident they still made money, these actions (which they did not have to do) certainly ate into their profit margin - Which leads me to the most obvious negative - price. It is no surprise given how much marketing and the number of workers employed that P&S is expensive. At a minimum they are double if not triple the cost for a smaller operation. (Case in point, I paid nearly $3000 to replace my sump pump which should have been no more than $1000). Some of this is necessary as they do have very junior tradesmen (including the new timer who forgot to pull the dishwasher plug when replacing the garbage disposal leading to a dishwasher lake). With inexperience comes multiple visits to confirm diagnosis or correct work. I understand and even support on-the-job training. It's just ridiculous to pay a premium for it So - overall, I would give P&S three and a half stars. I am very generously rounding up to four solely based on customer service and the hope that future interactions with them will be more in-line with normal. I will say, when I proactively put replacing the second (septic) sump pump out to bid, I didn't even call them. I am getting that work done via a smaller company at a reasonable price. We'll see how that all plays out read more

I contacted them because we bought a new build and the RO system was installed, but the builder tightened the casings so much that I couldn't loosen them at all in order to replace the filters. Ezekiel was prompt, solved my issue, and we ended up having a water pressure valve installed because the builder didn't include one. He was great! Quick work, cleaned up, and explained everything, even included photos. I will definitely use their services again. read more

Prices are way to expensive!!!!! I had a service call for a change of a breaker and just for coming out was 280.00 and then to replace a breaker and service call was 377.00 for a 5 minute job. Took more time to do paperwork then it did to fix the problem. Never again! Ok after I posted this review, I received a phone call and after the phone call they are giving me a $200.00 dollar credit. My husband and I had our AC replaced 2 years ago through this company . We've had to call them out THREE times within the last 2 weeks. The guy replaced our thermostat and left us without working air and a hole cut in the wall. We call back to get them back out and they scheduled and never showed up. Then they dispatch the same guy to tell us it was a wire issue and left us still without AC!? That pretty much represents all the trades under Parker and sons. Michael came out to check my smoke detectors and electrical box and was awesome. He detailed the tasks needing attention and was able to help me plan repairs, none of which needed attention that minute. They installed my A/C unit and, after my most recent experience, I am convinced I paid too much. I was having issues with my pool pump and wanted to get an estimate on upgrading my electrical panel. They will not give out an estimate over the phone. Electrician came out, tested systems, and said that the electrical line was cut to the pump and quoted $3000 to dig up and replace line. I asked about routing line in conduit on block wall, was told it would be same price. Another electrician quoted $200 to run line through existing PVC pipe underground. That's a $2800 difference. The line didn't need to be replaced because it turns out the pump is dead. To recap: misdiagnosed problem, quote that was 1000x more than the solution would cost by another licensed electrician, and no estimate before visit. The only thing I would call Parker and Sons for is the service work on A/C that is covered. read more

I noticed my AC wasn't blowing cool air around 12:30pm today - inside house temp was 85 but thermostat set at 78. I called Parker and Sons, by that time it had reached 90 in the house. The woman said she would consider it an emergency and they got someone right out, the technician arrived by 2:30. He was friendly, quick and straightforward with his communication. My unit is only 3 years old so still under warranty (a capacitor had gone bad) - he had it up and running in under an hour, for just the labor cost of $200! Very grateful to be going to sleep tonight in my house with an inside temp of 76 degrees. Thanks so much! read more

I've used Parker & Sons on a number of occasions in the past four years. They're my go-to for work I can't do myself, always responsive and professional. Yesterday's project, replacing a dying water heater, was no different. Estimator Joe showed up right on time Monday morning, listened to my concerns, laid out several options without pushing me toward any in particular, and got me scheduled for service that afternoon (where I'd been expecting "Due to supply chain issues, we can't actually do this work for another 45-60 days"). Techs Russ and Santino pulled the old heater, installed my awesome new Rheem 50-gallon hybrid along with an expansion tank and pressure regulator, and left the garage in better condition than when they arrived. As you read this review, I want you to make your own conclusion. I will provide facts only and leave emotion out of it. We made the appointment through Home Depot for Parker & Sons to come out and inspect our system. Our system was on borrowed time as we are currently in 2023 and the system in our home was the original from 1998. When they say, "You can't stop a Trane from running," they are telling the truth. I was worried about the recent heat wave and figured it was time. We had good luck and experiences using Home Depot for things before, but this service may have soured the relationship. We were quoted over the phone for an $89.00 inspection fee. The two trucks showed up. Both gentlemen were dressed well and clean. I will not share their names. One gentleman was the more experienced of the two and directed the other man on what to do. They started in the attic and opened the system. They made note it was probably time to look at redoing the insulation. After upstairs, they headed to the condenser outside and proceeded to open the unit and perform their tasks. After all was said and done, they returned to tell us of their findings and recommendations. To keep the current system up and running would cost about $2500. Keep in mind this was for "everything" that was needed or eventually needed. About $1000 of this total would cover 2 pounds of Freon. (You can always shop around for lower prices.) That being said, we proceeded to set up a time for a sales rep to come out and price out new systems. They ended up not charging us the inspection fee. Over the next day or so, we noticed the system was no longer cooling the house to 79. Between the hours of 2pm and 10pm, the house would warm between 85-87 degrees. The night prior to the sales rep's visit, I called the office and told them to cancel. When they inquired as to why, I told them what happened and lost trust in the company. The customer service rep asked what they could do to make it right. Upset at the time, I said I would send them my electric bill or the bill from the other company that would have to end up fixing it. She took the notes and said she would pass it on to her superiors. Needless to say, that was a week ago and I have to hear from them to make a goodwill attempt. We ended up finding another company to go with and they are set to install this coming Tuesday. Again, we knew our single stage system was on borrowed time, but it still worked. Your honor, I turn the case over to you. I am happy with the work. He did the job fine. The part that frustrated me was when he initially handed me the iPad for the final cost, it was over $850. I said to him "Parker&Sons is supposed to be a reputable company, why is it nearly a grand to tie in a power supply? He then made changes on the iPad and got it to $522. Where was that extra 300 coming from? Once that happened, it certainly made me question how things work at Parker&Sons. Won't be calling them again personally, but they did show up when requested and performed the work. Just charged an arm and a leg to do so. read more

There was a man available to talk over the loan right at our house. No inconvenience of having to go out of our way. They have done yearly check up and winterizing. Wow. Wow. Wow. This is an easy review to write because how awesome their service was. On perhaps the coldest day of the year, Christopher worked tirelessly, knowledgeably and with the best attitude in the world, outside, on a comprehensive 200-Amp panel upgrade. Neither bitterly cold winds, falling snow, complex wiring schematics or stubborn grounding rods kept Christopher from magnificently completing the installation. Robert showed-up from another project to install a dedicated 20-amp outlet, and then assist Christopher to identify all the breakers to the outlets and switches in our large two-story home. All of this done in the dark of early night with flashlights, laughter and 100% accuracy. Great Stuff. Truly heroic. read more

The service technicians are always neat , clean, polite and we enjoy interacting with them. They always explain their service and answer our questions. On July 2, 2021 my 4-year-old air conditioner quit working. One installed by Parker and Sons. The leaking coil, that was still under warranty, was located and I was told I would have to pay for the labor. How much, I asked. $2410.00 I was quoted. Another company replaced the coil and charged me $$1808.00 for the coil AND the labor. It took 2 1/2 hours to replace it. If you are thinking of using Parker and Sons, know that you will be charged almost $1000 AN HOUR for labor. Personally, I was shocked. read more

We've been Parker and Sons customers for years. They have always come in clutch in a few cooling emergencies, and they don't try to sell us services or products we don't need. They installed a new AC unit on our house yesterday, and the process was smooth and efficient from the estimate, all the way through the haul away if our old beast. The techs, Francisco and Thomas, showed up early, got started right away, and had everything done and dusted before it even had a chance to get warm in the house. And they were quiet, too! Great since I work from home. I was a little worried anticipating having to juggle work and the dogs, in a warm house... But that worry was wasted. Everything was smooth as silk! Our experience was not so good. The cost was way overpriced ($3,200 for a hot water heater) and our service man kept on wanting to sell us more plumbing things that we didn't need. They provide only one person to do the job and he caused lots of damage to our bottom drain pan and did not even get close to centering the heater on the pan. He needed another person to help him. If we didn't need hot water the same day, we would NOT have used Parker & Sons. read more

What a bunch of CROOKS!!!! Free Estimate is also highly inaccurate. They came out to fix a leaking leaking bathroom sinks. I turned the water off awhile ago because it was dripping. The guy came out and didn't even turn the sinks on to see why it was leaking. He just said I needed to replace these???! Then asked if I was interested in a water softener. He quoted me $3300.00 to replace 4 bathroom faucets. Then charged me $79.00 to come out and try to upsell me. What a great business plan to send a sales person out to try and sell you then charge the customer for that. Go to lowes for this. I can buy 4 new faucets and have them install it for less than what they wanted to charge for one faucet. read more
