In times of emergency which most pressing plumbing issues tend to be, it's nice to have a company with wide availability. Their work is reliable and trustworthy from my experience. For full disclosure, they came once to my house, for that service, I rate zero stars. They should be coming today to hopefully find a fix. Originally, I noticed a water spot in my living room above my tv. they came to my residence on the 30th of June, and their expert tech probed the ceiling, and found ZERO moisture and was sure it was just an "overflow of the tub of our kid splashing" from upstairs, and due to his over 20 year experience he was sure of this. Here we are, a week later, and my ceiling is leaking into my tv, and entertainment center. My son noticed after a droplet landed on the tv. Now the ceiling is REALLY wet, and i guarantee more damage has occurred in the last week. So what now? This is going to be a much more costly issue......two weeks before my wedding. While always "nice" they are way too pushy. You have to do this or that to get their deal and have no time to call around for second opinions. They also overcharge dramatically. For example, I needed a new water heater, they charged me DOUBLE and I was too desperate to know. But I just got a quote from a plumber for a new water heater (moving) and its half what I paid. I also got a full electrical panel replaced, who knows if I actually needed that or if they just wanted that fat portion. So dishonest, please for the love of yourself, stay away! read more

Parker & Sons was the fourth company I called to my house to quote a new A/C system. I called them mostly because they advertise through Costco. The experience was just bizarre. Since I had already had three other companies quote the job within the same week, I had a good sense of what the work involved and roughly what it should cost. For starters, there is nothing unusual about the design of my home. Single story with 2 handlers in the attic and 2 units at the side of the house and my existing units are working, just getting old. But here's what happened. The first person from Parker & Sons showed up and wasn't able to give me a quote. He said he would have to talk to his boss about code compliance issues. He wanted to install a walkway in the attic. He wanted to install the new air handler in a totally different location. He also said there was no light near one of the units in the attic, even though there is a working light right next to each existing unit. Keep in mind, the other companies had already told me there were no code compliance issues. So he left and I had no quote. I called the office, and they sent out a "senior tech." He looked at the job and told me he couldn't fit a new air handler through the attic access panel. He then insisted that he wanted to look around my house for another attic access panel. I told him there is only one panel, and the other three companies had no problem using it. He repeated that he wanted to look around my house for another access panel. I told him I renovated my home six months ago, I know the house like the back of my hand, and I'm certain we only have one attic access door. He asked again. I said no, I would stake my mom's life on it. He asked again. I said no. Then he asked, "Are you saying we can't look around your house for another access panel to the attic?" At that point, I told him we were done with that conversation. Then he dropped the bomb and said it would cost around $50,000 to install two units. I told him that was over $10,000 more than the next highest quote and that he should leave. So that was my experience with Parker & Sons. I have used this company before for AC tuning and plumbing repairs and they do good work but are pricey. However, the estimates for HVAC installation was through the roof. They advertised through Costco and was the reason I asked them for an estimate. The estimate provided was 25K for a single floor 1,350 sqft home which was 12K more than the nearest other estimate I got. I also had a similar experience with a water heater replacement and got a quote of $4500 which was $3000 over the contractor I eventually hired. Totally over priced. This is by FAR THE WORST COMPANY!!!! Do not use them you will regret it. I'm so upset! They did work for us 2 years ago and they said to keep warranties you must get check ups once a year! We have previously scheduled THREE check ups and EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY CANCEL! Not days or hours before, no they make you sit there 10am-2:30 and then cancel at 3 pm! EVERY SINGLE TIME! Never fails. Now I noticed in one of the vent they tore through my roof to build...... that the ceiling is bubbled. I asked my husband if we have a leak and the ceiling is mushy and obviously damaged with water damage! So we call this useless horrid company and they scheduled us today 10am-2:30 pm. Avoid Parker & Sons--Dishonest Service We've had issues with our two units since the day they were installed. Recently, one unit stopped cooling, and the Parker & Sons technician claimed we needed a brand-new $7,000 compressor. We decided to get a second opinion, and it turns out the unit just needed a simple cleaning. The second company got everything working perfectly for a fraction of the cost. To make matters worse, we already had a yearly service agreement with Parker & Sons that was supposed to include cleaning. Despite this, they tried to charge us over $500 to clean a drain line and $375 to clean the compressor. They are a complete rip-off. Save your money and stay away. read more

This is unfortunate because I really tried everything before leaving this review. I gave them multiple opportunities to call me and discuss my service issues, which they said they'd contact me, but never did. I definitely won't be using Parker and Sons again! First off, I'd like to say that the plumbing service was 5 ! Technician was great, service was fast and effective and price was fine! Based on that experience, I signed up for their monthly service plan. I scheduled a HVAC tuneup on the spot. My appointment was a few days later and it was basically disappointment from the first 10 minutes. We've just bought our house in Mesa, and it's pretty nice. We paid a bit for it and are very proud of it. During the pre-purchase inspection, we were told that the AC units were older and probably needed replacing within the next few years. We were good with that. The Tech from Parker and Sons told us to "sell the house" because our units were "so bad"... really???? So unprofessional. Then he proceeded to try to charge me almost $700 for two capacitors that I found on Amazon for $17.95 each. Seriously?? That's a heck of a mark up... there were multiple other issues but the general lack of service is what really blew me away! When I brought these issues to the attention of the company on their "give us your feedback" email, they assured me that it was being looked into and to please give them 2 business days to go over and they'd contact me. Not so much as a peep! They claimed to have "tried calling" but I immediately told them that no such call was made. They agreed that no one had tried calling and that someone would be reaching out shortly... nothing! Parker and sons came to my residence to give me a quote for replacing a shower valve. The quote seemed unreasonably high. I declined the quote and called a reputable company. The company I hired did not charge me for a quote. Parker and sons charged me $79.00 to take a look. Parker and sins quoted me $1700 to change a valve that ended up taking 2 hours to replace. The quality and brand of the part was the same for both companies. The company I hired charged me approximately half of what P&S wanted to charge me. ALWAYS OBTAIN OTHER BIDS BEFORE THIS COMPANY I called in need of having a new electrical line ran from my pool pump to the main breaker box. They scheduled a same day appointment when I called and told me that the work could be completed that day as well if I approved the quote (I asked this specifically when calling to schedule). The person that arrived for the appointment was nice and seemed knowledgeable, however, there were two issues: 1. they would need to schedule another appointment 2. The bid that was provided was for over 7,000.00. I received two bids from other Phoenix electricians that both were under 2,000.00 for the same scope of work. The numbers were so outrageous, so out of line with every other estimate I later received, that it felt deliberate. It didn't seem like a misunderstanding it seemed like an intentional attempt to overcharge. This is not just a one-off issue. Over time, I saw a clear pattern: Sky-high quotes that made no sense Pressure to approve unnecessary work Vague, confusing, or misleading explanations A complete lack of what I would consider honesty and integrity What makes this even worse is that my experience is far from unique. Over the years we've had a good experience with them as our HVAC contractor. We have had them replace our furnace and A/C unit as well as maintain them. We have a series of multi-year biannual maintenance agreements. During that time, the techs have found some issues but have shown us pictures and videos to show the issues and prove that they are for our units. $153.49 is what this company wants to charge me for a service plan that they tell me I signed up for over two years ago when a service rep performed work on our rental. I found this out for the first time today when I received an email stating that I was ninety days past due. When I told them to cancel this, I was told that I would have to pay the bill first. The phone rep said that they send out a notice seventy-two hours before it is due. Then why are they telling me that I am ninety days past due and this is the first that I hear about it. I called because my hot water heater was leaking. They gave me an estimate of 5,500. When I said that was ridiculous, they offerred a lesser plan and heater for 3,500. They also said I had too much pressure on my water line and needed a part put on. Also stated my current heater would not pass City of Scottsdale Inspection. RESULT: I had A LICENCED PLUMBER come out. He said my water pressure was fine and no part was needed. He also showed me the inspection sticker where the City of Scottsdale actually passed the inspection. Worst of all I DID NOT EVEN NEED A HOT WATER HEATER. It was the connection that was leaking. He would have installed a Smart Hot Water Heater, parts, labor etc. for a total of 1,600. i had this work done through PRESTIGE RENOVATIONS who proved to be dependable and honest!! I called Parker and Sons to ask about an appointment and ask if this was going to be an actual A/C maintenance appointment or if it was an appointment to just upsell us to buying a newer AC unit. I was speaking to Dean P and he took a real concern that the last appointment I didn't feel it was worth my time but the appointment we had a year ago was amazing and the technician understood that we loved our old ac unit, it was cheap to use and kept our home really cool. The service (replacing 2 elements on my water heater and flushing it) was fine and the technician (Mike) was fast and professional. I have no issue with any of that. However, that cost me $520 (with a 10% discount) and a brand new water heater is under $500 at Home Depot. No, that wouldn't include installation, obviously, but wow! $520?? I have always used Goettl after another crazy expensive experience with Parker & Sons. I didn't this time because the water heater was under warranty through them. It turns out, I was told, that it only covered the water heater itself, not the heating elements. Like I said, the service was fine. But save yourself a LOT of money and go with Goettl. You get the same quality service for much, MUCH less. Also, I'm certain this was done by accident, but the old heating elements were just left sitting outside my garage door. Not a big deal, really. This place sucks!! They sent out the wrong tech after we thoroughly explained that we needed an AC tech and not an electrician because SRP had already checked things out. They sent someone who did the same thing we just had done, didn't diagnose or resolve anything. They were supposed to send another tech out that night and gave us an ETA of midnight. Around 12:30 AM we still hadn't heard from anyone so we called and cancelled the service and found someone else. They charged us almost $400 to do nothing when the second company we went with charged us half that and actually fixed the problem. They just wasted our time, left us without AC for days and charged us a ridiculous amount of money for nothing. After scheduling service days in advance and waiting from 2pm forward we finally called the Parker office only to be told that the technician scheduled had an "emergency" at their present job ( it's now 4:51 pm) and they would not be coming. We had a full replacement of our HVAC (condenser unit, air handler) and we were promised duct sealing and duct cleaning. The duct cleaning was a shoddy job and needs to be re-done. However, we are now being told that, after spending $40,000 on a new system, we did not get the duct sealing, which will make the duct cleaning worthless. Insulation is showing up in our house at this point and they have done nothing to rectify that situation. Moreover, I am posting here because I get no response to repeated calls or emails: absolute silence. If you have a big job that needs to be done, this is not the company to work with. Here's the scoop. I haven't directly used this company, but my friend in Mesa did based on a glowing recommendation from a mutual friend. I was visiting my friend who called for some electric service. Despite some initial scheduling snafus, when James arrived, he immediately put my friend at ease. He was so thorough in assessing the situation, offering multiple solutions at different price points, and clearly explained the pros and cons of each. His concern clearly was for the safety and security for my friend. What James didn't know was that my friend was recently widowed and overwhelmed with decisions- but he must have sensed that she needed compassion, reassurance and respect. James not only was professional, he was a wonderful ambassador for the brand. If they offer service in our area, I'm going to call them. Kudos to James! read more

I just moved into a very old home in chandler and the AC went out. Todd and Rio came over at 5pm and did not leave until almost 2am to make sure the issue was fixed. Super nice guys and there was no bs with them. They replaced the bad component and gave me the run down on what was wrong with unit as a whole (very old). It was a bit expensive but between the 2 engineers living in this home - we couldn't make heads or tails of it. Zero accountability.** Parker & Sons markets themselves as the antidote to "Melvins" -- yet somehow managed to deliver the three most Melvin experiences I've ever had, back to back. **Strike 1 -- The Ladder That Wasn't** I requested quotes for two new AC units and specifically noted during booking that a ladder would be required. They showed up without one. As an apology, they offered me a complimentary membership. Against my better judgment, I accepted. **Strike 2 -- The Uninvited House Tour** I redeemed the free hot water heater flush included with my membership. While I was on a Zoom call, the technician let himself through my entire home -- checking every faucet, toilet, and drain -- and presented me with a full inspection report I never requested. That's not a service. That's a privacy violation. I told them I was done. **Strike 3 -- They Broke My AC (Then Couldn't Fix It That Night)** Months later, after a persuasive customer service call, I reluctantly allowed them to perform the AC checkup included in my plan. The unit was nine months old and working perfectly. About an hour after they left, my home stopped cooling entirely. When I called Parker & Sons, they apologized and promised a same-day technician -- but once again, no ladder available. I had to wait until morning. The diagnosis? A technician had flipped a switch on the rooftop air compressor during the inspection and simply never turned it back on. **The Finale** I'm now in the middle of a home inspection. The results: a corroded drain pipe their technician missed during the "flush," and my AC failed a temperature differential test -- right after Parker & Sons serviced it. Parker and Son's is ok for small jobs, but very expensive for larger repairs. The company was acquired by an out-of-state private equity firm, Skylight Capital, a few years back. Their techs now work off wage and commission, so the prices will likely vary with the incentive to charge customers higher rates for repairs. Prices quoted don't break out labor and parts; as such, it makes it difficult for consumers to understand the value of their purchase. Skylight Management should know that everyone has internet and AI assisted information that allows a consumer to understand whether they are getting a fair deal, all in less than a few seconds. Requested a quote for new ac unit. They rescheduled on is then called on the way asking questions and decided it was too big of a job for them. ( Adding an ac unit to 1400sf.) So he cancelled and didn't come after we scheduled a week earlier and rearranged out day. Says right on their website they install units. Just would like to tell everyone to AVOID Parker & Sons. They tried to rip off my wife while I was away for business. The tech told my wife that we needed a new hot water heater and pressured her to make the decision while I was away at work. Told her that a drain pan, and an expansion tank were required.
