This place sucks!! They sent out the wrong tech after we thoroughly explained that we needed an AC tech and not an electrician because SRP had already checked things out. They sent someone who did the same thing we just had done, didn't diagnose or resolve anything. They were supposed to send another tech out that night and gave us an ETA of midnight. Around 12:30 AM we still hadn't heard from anyone so we called and cancelled the service and found someone else. They charged us almost $400 to do nothing when the second company we went with charged us half that and actually fixed the problem. They just wasted our time, left us without AC for days and charged us a ridiculous amount of money for nothing. Trying to get in touch with their customer service has not been productive to say the least read more

ALWAYS OBTAIN OTHER BIDS BEFORE THIS COMPANY I called in need of having a new electrical line ran from my pool pump to the main breaker box. They scheduled a same day appointment when I called and told me that the work could be completed that day as well if I approved the quote (I asked this specifically when calling to schedule). The person that arrived for the appointment was nice and seemed knowledgeable, however, there were two issues: 1. they would need to schedule another appointment 2. The bid that was provided was for over 7,000.00. I received two bids from other Phoenix electricians that both were under 2,000.00 for the same scope of work. I would strongly suggest calling one of the other local companies and saving yourself thousands of dollars. read more

The service (replacing 2 elements on my water heater and flushing it) was fine and the technician (Mike) was fast and professional. I have no issue with any of that. However, that cost me $520 (with a 10% discount) and a brand new water heater is under $500 at Home Depot. No, that wouldn't include installation, obviously, but wow! $520?? I have always used Goettl after another crazy expensive experience with Parker & Sons. I didn't this time because the water heater was under warranty through them. It turns out, I was told, that it only covered the water heater itself, not the heating elements. Like I said, the service was fine. But save yourself a LOT of money and go with Goettl. You get the same quality service for much, MUCH less. Also, I'm certain this was done by accident, but the old heating elements were just left sitting outside my garage door. Not a big deal, really. I am embarrassed to admit that I have been using Parker & Sons to service and maintain my HVAC system for several years, though I was getting progressively less happy with them. During this time I feel like they have been repeatedly trying to up-sell me and get me to buy more of their services. During the last round, I was pretty sure they were overpriced. In May this year I had them come out to check the system in advance of summer, as part of the 2 times a year contract I had with them. I never got a report or call from them, so I figured the system must be ok. I would hope so, since they just serviced it a few months before. By July the system was not cooling, so I agreed to pay the $79 service call. I fully expected them to quote me some outrageous amount to fix the system, so I also called another company to come out right after them to see if their assessment and price were comparable. Sure enough, P&S quoted me MORE THAN DOUBLE what the other company did and exaggerated the nature of the problem. I knew in that conversation that the price was way too high, but I didn't know by how much. To add insult to injury, the guy tried to pressure and guilt me into doing the repair on the spot. I HATE THAT. And he was almost 3 hours late. But I also wanted to know why they couldn't figure out this problem when they were there in May. The guy seemed to have almost nothing in the notes. Now I can't prove this, but my feelings about this company having shady business practices made me wonder if the guy in May didn't actually cause the problem himself, knowing that when it got hot, I'd be calling to get it repaired. We called you at 10am for an emergency HVAC situation, in 110° Arizona heat, the air conditioning went out and you assured her that someone would be here to repair between 6pm-8pm! 8pm came...she called and asked for an eta and was told they were running behind and a tech would call with an update. 9pm rolls around...no call, no update. We call again and are told "we will take your information and have a tech call you" 10pm...nothing. call #3 to their 24/7 line...same song and dance. 11pm! 11pm!!!!! 4th call, we were told "Noone is coming!" We stayed up until passed 11pm because we were told the techs work 24/7, and now Noone is coming?! She could have called another company to come help her..but no! You left an old women hanging without AC all day, the with promise of showing up. And THEN your "supervisor" gets loud and aggressive when my mom shows upset with being left hanging? I was clear and direct when booking this appointment when stating I would have to miss work for this appointment, and they ensured me that the job would be handled within the timeframe. I get a call today at 5pm informing me that the technician is behind and I should be getting a call shortly, I hadn't received a call in over 90m so I call them, got told "jobs are taking longer than usual". Here's the scoop. I haven't directly used this company, but my friend in Mesa did based on a glowing recommendation from a mutual friend. I was visiting my friend who called for some electric service. Despite some initial scheduling snafus, when James arrived, he immediately put my friend at ease. He was so thorough in assessing the situation, offering multiple solutions at different price points, and clearly explained the pros and cons of each. His concern clearly was for the safety and security for my friend. What James didn't know was that my friend was recently widowed and overwhelmed with decisions- but he must have sensed that she needed compassion, reassurance and respect. We were part of the parker family for 13 years. We now need a new unit and we started to get new estimates from other companies because things did not happy with parker. As soon as they saw are unit they asked " Who installed this unit" . Because of the family agreement nobody else is allowed to work on our unit. And what we found out was very upsetting because we had been lied to for so many years. I gave parker a chance to answer for this and i was not expecting the response. They flat out lied to us took no responsibility for anything. We waited 3 days for a return call because the people we wanted to talk to were home for the weekend. When we added up our experience up over the last 13 years this company took no interest in our home or comfort. Every tune up was just a chance to sell me something I did not need. I have received 7 new estimates from different companies and will be moving forward with one of them. We were with parker for 13 years and we should using then for our new unit instead of looking for a new company. I also had parker come out and give a new estimate when I asked him " will you install the new unit the same way" His eyes got wide. I pointed out the flaws in the install by parkers competitors and he said he needed to make a call from the truck. After 5 minutes he drove away . We could not believe what just happened it was the most unprofessional thing me and my girl had ever seen. This company has changed and not for the better. The most infuriating thing in all of this is we paid to be treated like this and were mislead believing this company had our back. I have used this company before for AC tuning and plumbing repairs and they do good work but are pricey. However, the estimates for HVAC installation was through the roof. They advertised through Costco and was the reason I asked them for an estimate. The estimate provided was 25K for a single floor 1,350 sqft home which was 12K more than the nearest other estimate I got. I also had a similar experience with a water heater replacement and got a quote of $4500 which was $3000 over the contractor I eventually hired. Totally over priced. Do good work but can't justify such high rates. read more

After scheduling service days in advance and waiting from 2pm forward we finally called the Parker office only to be told that the technician scheduled had an "emergency" at their present job ( it's now 4:51 pm) and they would not be coming. Parker and Son's is ok for small jobs, but very expensive for larger repairs. The company was acquired by an out-of-state private equity firm, Skylight Capital, a few years back. Their techs now work off wage and commission, so the prices will likely vary with the incentive to charge customers higher rates for repairs. Prices quoted don't break out labor and parts; as such, it makes it difficult for consumers to understand the value of their purchase. Skylight Management should know that everyone has internet and AI assisted information that allows a consumer to understand whether they are getting a fair deal, all in less than a few seconds. Are you listening Collin Hathaway? I did a little work and saved myself $1300 on a quoted $2000 job. Caveat Emptor. read more

Just would like to tell everyone to AVOID Parker & Sons. They tried to rip off my wife while I was away for business. The tech told my wife that we needed a new hot water heater and pressured her to make the decision while I was away at work. Told her that a drain pan, and an expansion tank were required. We had a full replacement of our HVAC (condenser unit, air handler) and we were promised duct sealing and duct cleaning. The duct cleaning was a shoddy job and needs to be re-done. However, we are now being told that, after spending $40,000 on a new system, we did not get the duct sealing, which will make the duct cleaning worthless. Insulation is showing up in our house at this point and they have done nothing to rectify that situation. I'm sending a neutral message explaining the problem with the bare wood under the new and asking them to contact me about repairing it. I will not be as patience as Amber G! I just moved into a very old home in chandler and the AC went out. Todd and Rio came over at 5pm and did not leave until almost 2am to make sure the issue was fixed. Super nice guys and there was no bs with them. They replaced the bad component and gave me the run down on what was wrong with unit as a whole (very old). It was a bit expensive but between the 2 engineers living in this home - we couldn't make heads or tails of it. Parker & Sons installed 3 AC units for me 9 years ago. they are still under warranty and I pay $30/month for annual inspections. I thought that was for servicing, but was told yesterday it's not. Big difference between servicing and inspecting. I had an annual inspection in March and was told I needed 3 new capacitors. The estimate was almost $1,400! We did not do it. Meanwhile, one unit's air handler is in the attic through a walk in closet ceiling and is a very tight space. the past 3 times techs were here, they bypassed looking at that unit because they were too big to access the space. Each time we call, we specify a smaller tech, but that is ignored. Tuesday, August 4, 2026, we noticed our upstairs unit was not working when we went to go to bed, and our thermostat registered 94 degrees. a very large P&S tech came out the next day - had to call for a smaller man. he came out the next day and had to call for a smaller man. A larger man showed up a few hours later and it was too late to do anything. On Friday, a new smaller tech arrived and a fan motor was ordered. As large as P&S is, they do not carry many parts in state, so we were told they had to order it and it would take a few days. We did not hear from them, so had to call on Monday to see when they expected to come back out. Yesterday, Wednesday the 12th, a large technician showed up and had to call for a young man to come assist him. They were here for 5 1/2 hours and the air began working again. they left quickly after he processed the payment. My husband was not home, but he checked this morning and the capacitors were NOT replaced, as ordered. So, here I am wasting another day of my life for a repair tech to show up, hopefully before 6 pm. Hopefully the job will be completed and I will be done with them for a while. I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. And beware, they up charge you and try to charge you for items that are under warranty! read more

Parker & Sons came out to check on my water heater. the first thing he did was soak the insulation inside the water heater and then asked me to come see the wet insulation. then he proceeds to tell me that he couldn't understand why it hadnt blown yet. He checks the rest of the house but conveniently, when he sees me going out into the garage by the water heater, stops and follows me out to give me more bullshit about what could happen if/when the heater finally broke down. said it was imminen. I then get the standard $3-5,000 bids they give for new water heaters and he left, telling me to call him should we have any questions, but not before going out to my breaker box and flipping off the breaker to the water heater. The reason he did that?? So that the next morning, I would take a very cold shower and feel compelled to call him back with an approval for a $3400 water heater that could be done for $1000 - $1500 by the second plumber I called to get a quote from. I knew he had flipped the breaker because I was just in the box the day earlier checking in my dryer's breaker and double checked every breaker switch in the box then - even enjoyed a nice hot shower that morning before he showed up thinking I was gullible and would fall for his illegal business practices and lies. So I flipped the breaker back on, and guess what? Hot from a water heater that never was broken, or leaking or about to explode or anything - per the HONEST plumber I had verify Parker and Sons illegal and dishonest business practices. I am in the contracting business and use a lot of vendors for a ton of services and I will never use and certainly would hope no one uses Parker and Sons for anything. Its a scam, they overcharge you, and are not to be trusted. read more

This review is a little late. But I use to hire them for my AC maintenance until one summer they came maintenance my AC and said everything looked good but I had to replace my drain pan for a bigger one. They quoted over 2000 dollars. A month later my roof leaked. I had to put a claim thru my home owner insurance. My adjuster advised me the leak was due to my AC unit which is sitting in the attic. I called another company and I was advised the line was clogged and that caused my AC to over flow with water and leak. The condensation line should be something it should be cleared or at least checked during a regular maintenance visit. The new company cleared the line and actually put a float switch to prevent that from happening. It's been a couple summers now and no issues. Also their prices are waaaaay over priced. Parker and Son's is only a company that wants your money. They could of easily prevented my leak but they chose not to so I would pay their 2000 dollar job. Don't let their google reviews fool you. I see they have a lot of bad reviews here and this is accurate ! read more

The plumber would not stop trying to upsell me and I kept requesting that he quit trying to sell me more products and begin the repair. He told me several times that if I did not accept his referral for a remediation company that he would have to state it on the invoice which could affect my insurance. He finally replaced a plastic tee that took about 20 minutes. $900. You must be kidding. Had three more tees replaced the next day for $245 by a different company. We had an issue with a plumbing repair that occurred over a year ago. We were basically done with Parker and Sons. There was an errant charge on our credit card. Upon speaking to Vanessa in billing to resolve that, our displeasure with that price service was brought up. She took care of that issue and offered to send out a "senior" plumber to look into the issue. When Kevin came, he was incredibly courteous and professional. He spent time checking for the problem. Although the actual repair would be cost prohibitive, he was forthright and honest regarding what is not uncommon in a house over 30 years old. He made us feel better about Parker and Sons. I don't know where to begin with this review. We bought our AC unit through Costco expecting Costco quality. Parker & sons has done nothing but deliver the exact opposite of the Costco experience. It's disappointing that Costco would use this company to install their Lennox units. It's been a year and a half since we've had this unit and we are going on our ninth visits since. Everything from the install not being performed as promised to the unit shutting off in the middle of the night for no reason. A wire was left dangling in the unit and it would sound like a jet engine on start up. On the latest visit we were told that the problem with the unit was a defect from the company and the compressor was damaged. The tech told me they would've never had done the damage that they said was done to the compressor. So basically they installed a faulty unit and never said anything to the homeowner until a year and a half later when we finally complained that our bill never reduced after purchasing the 15k unit. Our bill has been higher than our unit that was 50 years older than this one. He told us the compressor was damaged and was leaking coolant this whole time. There has been no ownership by Parker and sons for this. Not even an apology. It has been a complete fiasco. Regardless, if you think Costco is great, their third-party services are not always the same. Do your research on the company installing your unit. This company has a 2 1/2 star review on yelp and I wish I would've known that before I purchased it through Costco. read more

What this should have been called was an inspection. I asked the gentleman what did you tune up and he said "nothing" its more of an inspection to see what is wrong. My house and AC units are less than 2 years old and Parker and Sons recommended $1800 in work to be done and "tuned" nothing. This is very misleading and should be called an "inspection". All they do is come out and look for stuff for you to spend your hard earned money. I paid $60 to have nothing tuned and recommended $1800 worth of work. If they say "tune up" make sure you are actually getting a "tune up" not an inspection. read more

Had my entire 1,600 sq ft home replumbed, and while Parker & Sons is a reputable company, I hit the jackpot with Garrett Stephens as my plumber. The original job took about 3 days (I expected 2), and it seemed like the original team may have been rushing or low on parts. Some things weren't done quite right--hoses weren't strapped down, metal clips were used where expansion fittings should've been. Garrett on June 2, 2025 noticed all of this, fixed it, and didn't cut corners despite only being assigned warranty work at what I imagine is a low rate. He even turned down my suggestion for a "quick fix" on the water heater overflow. Instead, he ran to the store, bought the right parts, and installed it exactly the way the inspector wanted--because that's just how he works. Garrett crawled under the house in tight, dusty, cactus-laced conditions just to retrieve a fallen part instead of asking me to go get another. He strapped down lines, cleaned valves, shimmed a toilet on an uneven floor, installed a garbage disposal in a cramped cabinet, replaced a sink basket, and more. Honestly, I was so impressed that I ended up spending an extra $1,300 to replace a faucet, garbage disposal sink basket and install a toilet just because I trusted him to do it right and I wanted to reward his excellent work ethic with some form of commission. In no way did Garrett try to sell me on anything. This is the one thing I can say about Parker And sons character that is true for many many many of their technicians, especially in the plumbing division they are not salesman. They do not try to over sale or up sale. They have dedicated salesman for that once you're in the VIP program and they kinda learn your customer profile. They know they will learn not to send you their salesman and you can just request honest-to-goodness technicians with whatever line of home improvements you may need so far. I've only been able to recommend the plumbing division as if you cross shop my reviews. I have an electrician. I mainly use on everything whom is a medium sized business person. If you're booking Parker & Sons in plumbing ask for Garrett Stephens. He goes above and beyond, and will work efficiently and effectively. Garrett had mentioned his father taught him the plumbing trade and it would be great to see Garrett and his father arrive to the worksite in the future. If I need anything, I would truly appreciate to meet the man who molded such a great future young plumber. read more
