Just want to take a moment to post about a great experience I had yesterday with "Robert Wills" from Parker & Sons. It's way to often we fail to share with others and give reconignition , when we have a positive experience!! I was about at my wits end yesterday, I have no hot water it had gone out the evening prior. Telephone my home warranty to report it and was told someone would reach out to me within 24 to set up service call, they did give me the number to company they would be contacting. I am proactive, so I hung up and immediately called them, soonest they could get me in would be late the next afternoon, and if, is is determined that water heater need to be replaced, it could be 24-48 later. Wow, 5 days no hot water... Unacceptable, I made several calls back to my home warranty company completely frustrated. I suggested we use someone that could come out sooner "no, it's already assigned" .If I find a local company that participates with home warranty that can come sooner "no" If I pay out of pocket will they reimburse me "No" I explain I have an infant living in my home and my daughter is having surgery the following day. I explain this is really unexceptable, that if use someone with their network, and I pay out of pocket that they wouldn't reimburse me. NO Frustrated I called a plumbing service, (NOT Parker &Sons) guy said he could get someone over within hour... Whew this guy shows up all sloppy... Plumber crack...lol David, has a tool box looks like he made in Jr high, all a mess...he seemed a bit out or sorts... Keeps going back out to truck says he needs tools, but never gets tools . During him banging around and looking ... I tell him I hear the gas comes on , sounds like it clicking but not lighting... He gets several calls, during his examination from his boss, asking if he was checking certain things. He then tells me it's the motherboard but he has to go out call boss to get price. Meanwhile, I look up the Honeywell part it's 100-150 , labor is additional. I don't really feel this guy is very compidient, i have decided ... I just feel it in my gut. David, comes back and tells me they cant get part anywhere but he will install a new hot water heater, instead at a reduced cost of $900. I was surprised and in a bit of shock. I thanked him kindly for his free evaluation. Then ..... I then googled and research a bit and made call to Parker & Sons, immediately within telephone conversation, I began to feel at ease, I inquired if they had the ability to have someone come today as now it's afternoon, they would have a serviceman at my house between 2-6, but most likely 4-6 would be more like the time frame. Super!!! At 1:15 I get a call stating they could be at my home at 2:30 I was anxious,frustrated to say the least, and at my wits end by this point, ROBERT WILLS from Parker & Sons, greeting me promptly with a warm smile and introduced himself, he was professionally dressed and well equipped to handle my water heater issues. He promptly began his evaluation.... I explained what I knew was going on , gas flowing, sounded like it's trying to ignite. I also shared a bit of my day & frustrations with the home warranty company and they lack of compassion or ability to work with homeowners. Within a matter of minutes, whoosh, my water heater was lit and running. Woohoo!! I was so surprised, I said "are you kidding me", that's when I I think the tears streamed down my face, Robert, looked at me and said some company's might just tell you that it needed to be replaced. I then shared my entire morning, and how that almost happened to me, and if it needed to be replaced I certainly was not using that other company and that is when I researched and found Parker & Sons. I know this was a long review, but I wanted to share I had a GREAT EXPERIENCE with PARKER & Sons, thanks to honest , knowledgable, courteous technician my shout out to "ROBERT WILLS". It's with considerable disappointment that I'm writing about our recent experience with Parker & Sons, especially following our decision to renew our Family Plan. While our HVAC, water softener, and tankless water heater check-ups seemed routine, the electrical inspection left us deeply concerned and frankly, quite disillusioned. The news that our main electrical panel needed a complete overhaul, along with all the breakers and even the riser, came as a significant and unwelcome surprise. The technician's emphasis on a potential fire due to an overheating main breaker was understandably alarming. To then receive a quote of over $7,400 for these extensive repairs was shocking and unsettling. Seeking a second opinion via sharing the work estimate from the Parker & Sons technician, we were astounded to find a local, licensed/bonded/insured electrician who quoted $3,400 for the exact same work - a difference of over $4,000! This already raised serious questions about the initial assessment. However, the subsequent evaluation by a trusted Master Electrician referral; was the most disheartening. He assured us that there was absolutely no need for the work Parker & Sons had proposed. In fact, he found our electrical panel to be in good condition, dismissing the previous technician's concerns entirely. While I understand a technician might be following protocol, the stark contrast in these assessments suggests a deeply troubling pattern. It echoes the recommendations we received during the HVAC and tankless water heater inspections, where multiple "issues" were also highlighted. It increasingly feels like a business model focused on generating revenue through unnecessary repairs, but the use of "fire" as a scare tactic during the electrical inspection feels particularly unethical. To instill such fear in homeowners to push for over $7,400 in unnecessary work is simply unacceptable. The $7,800 spent on the tankless water heater installation by Parker & Sons, last year, is now causing us to question if the cost was disproportionately high. We trusted their pricing would be in line with other companies, but recent events suggest this may not be the case, which is concerning. When major appliances fail, the need for quick resolution often outweighs the time required to obtain multiple quotes. However, this experience has highlighted the necessity of implementing a more thorough comparative pricing approach for future similar projects to ensure we receive fair value. Despite our recent renewal, this experience has significantly eroded our trust in Parker & Sons. We will honor our commitment to the Family Plan for the remainder of this year, but we will undoubtedly be seeking a more trustworthy and reliable company for our home maintenance needs moving forward. Just recently, one of my air conditioning units stopped producing cold air. Because I still had one A/C working and my home was comfortable, I requested service on a "routine" basis so that other customers in more unbearable situations could be seen before me. Being in the middle of a record-breaking heat wave, I figured it would be several days before any HVAC company would be able to send a technician to my home to diagnose the problem and much longer to fix the issue, if it turned out to be serious. Boy, was I wrong! Parker and Sons had a technician on-site the next day. Worried that the second A/C unit would fail, I asked the technician to perform a top-to-bottom inspection on both units -- the first of a three-year inspection plan I signed up for with Parker and Sons as I was scheduling my appointment because Parker and Sons was offering a smoking deal for that service. My technician was Randy Aaenson. As a 25 year USAF fighter pilot, I understand passion for the job, attention to detail, and a person thinking outside of the box to get the job done. Randy exemplified all those attributes in spades -- demonstrating a work ethic seldom seen in today's service industry. After throughly diagonsing my A/C system and explaining, in detail, the steps he was taking, he determined the A/C's 3-year-old coil was leaking coolant. I was floored when he told me he could get it fixed that day if the part was available. I watched as he and Jay, a second technician Parker and Sons sent to help Randy, labor intensively to remove the old part and replace it with a new one. A seemingly simple task that was made much tougher because my home builder had installed the air handling unit in such a manner that it had to be secured before Randy and Jay could get the old unit out. Randy figured a way to secure the unit with the material on hand. The opening to my attic was the same size of the new unit forcing Randy to improvise a way to get it into the attic without damaging the surrounding finished frame. Although it was over 115 degrees in my attic, Randy and Jay stayed dedicated to the task and worked without a break for hours before the job was complete. After watching Randy work feverishly to get my house completely cool again, and knowing a dedicated technician when I see one, I know, without a doubt, who I want working on my HVAC system. I know two things for sure: first, if I ever have an HVAC issue, I will call Parker and Sons; and secondly, if they will let me, I'd like to have Randy Aaenson be the person dispatched to do the work. read more

Let me start by saying I brought all this on myself. I purchased a new thermostat for my home and scheduled and rescheduled Parker and Sons to do the installation. Well I noticed the new thermostat had a smaller footprint than the old one so I wanted to paint the area on the wall that would be exposed when the new thermostat was installed. Easy Peasy, so you would think. Well it is 4ish PM on Friday when I have my burst of energy, mind you my appt for the install of the new thermostat is Monday, I pop off the old thermostat to paint under it. This only disconnects the housing from the base and did not require touching the wires. However, I noticed when I went to reattach the thermostat 2 wires came loose. Simple fix attach the orange wire to the O and the brown wire to the B. Reattached the housing power the unit up and yeah it works.....but wait... HOT AIR is coming out. Did I mention I am in Arizona and today was pushing 100 with 103 expected over the weekend. I find the install manual online locate my wire configuration and I kid you not see this "If you have both O and B contact Ritetemp or your local HVAC contractor for further help.". It is about 5:30 PM now, I'm thinking it is going to be a long Hot weekend. I call Parker & Sons on a long shot they have an answering service and work at least on Saturday. To my surprise a person answers I explain my situation and she tells me she can have someone out this evening no problem and the technician would call when he was on his way. Justin called about 15 mins later and said he was 30 mins away. When he arrived, with another technician Christian,they both were extremely polite and understanding of the situation, no judgement of he crazy women. Both were were respectful of me and my home, wearing booties when in the house. They installed the new thermostat and when they were done, Justin asked for a broom to sweep up insulation that fell out from the attic hatch and the dust from drilling new holes for the new thermostat. I was amazed I have had technicians/repairman/contractors in my home before and not one of them has every offered to sweep up the mess. For what I consider an emergency call I expected to pay more than what was quoted me for my scheduled appt on Monday but I wasn't charged any extra. I have used Parker & Sons only a few times between A/C and Plumbing and each time the service has been good, price reasonable and the technician polite and respectful. I would recommend them to anyone who asks. read more

We first used Parker & Sons in April of 2013 about a month after purchasing our first house. It is an older home so we expected plumbing problems... but not so quickly! We first noticed toilets were draining slowly and then our brand new washer flooded the laundry room. Looking outside we saw the clean out was flooding our patio. Gross! It was a late weekend afternoon and panicked we began researching local plumbers. After calling around and finding that many charged for weekend/emergency service we decided to go with Parker & Sons. Marco arrived promptly, was professional, and snaked the drain. All appeared to be in working order again, however he did recommend we have a camera inspection (no guys with a camera were nearby at the time) and since it was an older home, that we would likely have this problem again and may need to replace the main line which he estimated to be about $4000. Yikes! We decided to take our chances but of course, almost a year and a half later when the washer flooded for a second time on Weds at 8:30 pm we knew we were in trouble! We did not hesitate this time and I went directly to the Parker & Sons website and electronically requested a service appointment for the following day (a very convenient feature). I was called Thursday morning to confirm my appointment time and by 5:30 pm Robin was on my doorstep to assess the situation. He immediately called for the nearest camera guy since he replaced three other homeowner's main lines within the last month in our neighborhood. The guy with the camera arrived within twenty mins, explained in real-time what was being seen via the camera, and in no time at all we were told our line was collapsed and we would have to replace it. We signed the estimate for $4000 and the next morning at 7 am the team was back to begin replacing the line. Turns out the rolled tar paper line was collapsed in not one, not two, but four places. Not sure how we had gone so long! Anyways, Parker and Sons did an amazing job replacing the line and putting our yard back together in a timely manner. They were professional and were willing to take the time to explain what they were doing and why - this is why we love them and highly recommend them! You can't beat great service! read more

I am a long time customer of Parker and Sons and had a truly outstanding technician, Daniel, who provided our service today. We use Parker and Sons because they respond any day of the week and even holidays without charging extra for the call (emergencies always seem to happen on weekends and holidays). In this instance, it was routine service of our heating system. I called and they set me right up. The technician, Daniel, arrived as scheduled (calling ahead to let me know he was on the way), and came fully prepared so nothing would have to be ordered. I appreciated the fact that he started right off by putting shoe covers on before entering our home. We had been having some problems with the temperature not matching the thermostat which Daniel diagnosed right away using electronic instruments that confirmed the thermostat was malfunctioning. He took the time to ask me about the functions we wanted the thermostat to perform (programmable, vacation settings, over-rides, ease of use etc) and provided choices along with a recommendation which he not only installed on the spot, but also programmed and let me experiment with under his supervision. Daniel also completed a comprehensive servicing of my system making observations on components that I should typically watch but did not need replacing at this time. I was impressed with the fact that he did not try to sell me anything and, took the extra step of taking pictures so I could see personally that the components were serviced and functioning properly. In my opinion, this clearly goes above and beyond simply putting checkmarks on a form and is an outstanding example of customer service. It is apparent that Daniel also stands behind his work by providing his card, and mobile phone number for direct contact if I had any questions on programming the new thermostat. I am very satisfied with the services provided by Parker and Sons having used them for plumbing, heating and cooling, and electrical. In every instance, they have come promptly, never charged me for weekends or holidays, and most important, always done the job right the first time. Without hesitation, I recommend Parker and Sons in general, and Daniel E. specifically, based on the service we have experienced. read more

Parker and Sons came out last Sunday and Edward M. made a very detailed assessment and explained what the problem was very clearly. He also took the time to provide information on how a air scrubber works. He was on time and was very nice and friendly. When I asked about the payment, he quoted the company policy, that if "it's not cool when they are done, you don't pay" or something like that. Robert W. came out on Monday and was even early. He gave us three options for systems and payment of our split unit air conditioner. He was an easy going funny guy who knew his stuff and did not put any pressure on us to buy the more expensive unit. He was able to schedule a team to come out the next day to install the system. He also settled a debate between my husband and I about the attic system being the original unit. I was right!! Robert also told us to crank the ac down the night before so that the house was super cool for quite a while during the installation for the next day. Doug S and Brendon M. were here from 8 a.m. to 6.p.m on Tuesday. They were on time and two of the hardest working guys I've seen in a long time. In spite of the heat and humidity, they worked non-stop, and were super friendly and courteous. They corrected a 28 year problem with one of the rooms being too hot, by reconfiguring and replacing some of the duct work that was installed incorrectly by another company. The cost of the new system also included a new outside fuse, programmable thermostat, carbon monoxide alarm, and a vent where the air filters go. We also decided to go with the Air Scrubber, which I had brought up because I have heard such good things about it, especially for people with bad allergies. What a big difference the new system makes!!! We are now setting the temperature at 78 degrees instead of 70-72. The true test of the air scrubber was when my husband who always, I mean always, wakes up sneezing, has not done so for the past 6 days and the house smells fresh. Even though we spent a relatively large amount of money, all of the guys made the whole process as painless as possible. There were no surprise charges and we got a discount for paying for it all at the time of completion. Thanks to all of you!! read more

I have been a customer of Parker & Sons for several years, and I am extremely disappointed with the recent service I have received. My experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing, leading me to write this review to warn others who might consider using their services. Issue 1: Poor Quality of Service I initially reached out to Parker & Sons for HVAC installation, expecting a high level of professionalism and expertise. Unfortunately, the installation process was riddled with issues. The quality of work has been far below what I expected from a company that claims to be a leader in the industry. Issue 2: Unresponsive and Unhelpful Customer Service Throughout this ordeal, I've been in constant contact with several Parker & Sons' customer service team members, and the company has repeatedly failed to take responsibility for the issues I've raised. I requested a comprehensive review of my account multiple times to ensure all concerns were addressed, but my requests have been ignored or dismissed. Instead of taking the time to fully understand and resolve my concerns, the company has insisted that I specify what I consider a "fair" resolution without first reviewing their own work. This approach feels more like a tactic to avoid accountability rather than a genuine effort to provide customer satisfaction. Issue 3: Misleading Information In their final communication, Parker & Sons claimed that they had provided me with free services in the past and, therefore, would not offer any further assistance. This is simply not true. As a long-time customer, I have never received any free services from them. This false claim adds insult to injury and further damages my trust in this company. Final Thoughts: For a company that prides itself on customer satisfaction, Parker & Sons has failed to deliver on multiple fronts. The combination of poor service, lack of accountability, and misleading information has left me incredibly frustrated and disillusioned. I would strongly advise anyone considering using Parker & Sons to look elsewhere. Several years back, Parker and Sons came out to give me a 2nd estimate on an A/C repair. The first company said I needed a new compressor to the tune of almost $4,000, but something told me otherwise. Parker and Sons came out and $88 later replaced a part and gave us cool air. Fast forward to today. I came home from a morning round of summer golf to a 92 degree home. FIRST THOUGHT after my initial inspections revealed nothing was to call Parker and Sons. At about 1:00p, I contacted the main switchboard to schedule service. I was told a technician would be able to arrive between 2 and 6pm. I was scheduled to be at work at 4 pm, so I called my employer to make arrangements to be late and began the waiting game. At 1:17, I received a call from the technician, Adam P. asking if I would be available earlier than 2:00 because he was about 10 minutes away. Elated, I informed him that I would be standing by for his arrival as soon as he could make it. Almost EXACTLY 10 minutes later, Adam arrived at my door. He took note of the issue and went to work immediately. Upon inspection of the outdoor unit, Adam discovered that the capacitor has vibrated loose and was touching the low voltage terminal on the contactor, causing it to short. He secured the capacitor in place, waited about 15 minutes to inspect the unit for any other issues and cool air was on the way, $69 later. I wanted to point out that Adam has now left, the house is getting cooler as we speak and I still have time before my original starting time for work to get this review typed. In this day and age where trust and integrity is hard to find in so many people and companies, it was refreshing to once again have such a great experience with Parker and Sons. Adam MUST be commended for his professionalism, punctuality and personality in addition to the trust and integrity traits mentioned earlier. Technicians like Adam and his attitude towards customer service as well as the gals who took my initial service appointment call are what make me a HUGE Parker and Sons advocate to all family and friends. I called Parker and Sons 1 week ago to schedule 2 services, one of which was needed more urgently. I have and continue to have a severe sewer gas issue in my home that needed further diagnosed. The initial small business plumber told me what I needed from a larger company. I spoke to Dean on Sunday and he scheduled a plumber to come out that day, between 12-4. I called at 4:50 to confirm they were still coming. I received a call 30 min later from someone stating that "they only just learned about this service call and that they could not come out today, but we can take a verbal agreement to the initial $1400 dollar estimate for smoke test and schedule another day." I waited all day, cancelled plans and they didn't show up. I decided to go with another plumber. I also ended up scheduling an electrician to come out to hang a couple ceiling fans the same day I called about the plumbing. I was scheduled for this past Friday between 12-4. I took half of the day off to wait for this service call. I received a call at 3pm stating that they would not be out until after 4 possibly closer to 5-530pm. They offered to reschedule for the next day and I agreed for the time-frame of 10-2. I received a call at 1230pm telling me that they would not have anyone out for another couple hours and it would be closer to the end of my time block or perhaps 1-2 hours longer pushing that time frame closer to 4 or 5. I told them to cancel b/c I was not going to wait around for several more hours for them to....probably call and reschedule again. They then said "well when you schedule again, you should schedule in the AM 8-12". Easy for them to say...many of us work regular hours and cannot just take time off whenever it is convenient for THE company. There is no excuse for this. I should have been the first on the list yesterday, after this company basically screwed me over twice already. I probably should have read the reviews before going with a highly advertised company. Never contacting them again and will spread the word. read more

After being completely ripped off by another plumbing company, I was in a panic to find someone to get our entire plumbing system up and running. I called Parker and Sons at around 5pm and the lady who answered the call was friendly and empathetic to our situation. She assured me that she would have her next available technician at our hours. Within about 20 minutes Daniel B. was at our house. He was also friendly and empathetic to our situation and gave us some knowledge into plumbing and how to spot a non-reputable company. Daniel was able to quickly find the issue. Unfortunately, our issue was much larger than just a clogged line. He showed us were he found roots in our main sewer line, which meant another tech had to come out and scope the damage. Brandon H. came out within 15 minutes and invited me to watch him work so I could also see what was going on. To my horror, a root from our tree had pushed it's way through our main sewer line crushing it about 8 feet under the foundation in our kitchen. Brandon drew up an estimate and explained the process to us. Being first time home buyers it was terrifying to hear that they needed to rip up our flooring and trench half of our kitchen and a few feet in our front lawn. Brandon assured us that all of the work could be done within one and a half days and could be completed at a reasonable price. The next morning Brandon H., Ben M. and Jake H. all showed up on time and ready to work. They let me know what to expect and invited me to take pictures along the way incase we needed to involve our insurance company. I honestly do not think these guys took a break all day. They dug two huge trenches inside and outside and were able to replace all of the broken lines within 9 hours, well below our quoted estimated timeframe. I was extremely impressed with their quality of work, speed, and friendly attitudes. It felt like we had friends doing the work for us. This past Tuesday night (9/28/21) at 10:20 PM I was taking the trash out through our garage and noticed that our water heater had decided to turn our garage into a sauna. I want to make it perfectly clear that I am NOT a plumber and when nightmares or disasters occur the normal reaction is to scramble and get help as quickly as we can. My wife and I were initially trying to resolve the immediate leak by turning off the water, soaking up the water, as well as hooking up a hose to the water heater so it would help drain some of the water outside. It was during this same time that I had attempted to get help by contacting any 24 hour plumber. The plumber I had reached was not Parker & Sons but a different company that had labelled themselves as a plumbing company yet 2 hours later when they had arrived it was water restoration service. Needless to say I was scammed, and quite dismayed or upset as I still needed a plumbing company not a water restoration service. The next day I had a few plumbers provide estimates but in talking with a friend he indicated that I should just purchase a water heater and then call services to schedule an install in which I did with Parker & Sons. Thankfully this is where our nightmare ended and the Super Heroes from Parker & Sons were in COMMUNICATION with us the entire time and would soon arrive (9/30/21) to install the water heater. I want to make it absolutely clear that Colm (Josh) MacDiarmid and Mark Clark deserve high recognition as these techs do an excellent job in representing Parker & Sons as they were both PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS, and RELENTLESS in getting our water heater installed and the issues resolved without these technicians or Parker & Sons our issues or nightmare would still be here. We purchased a $15000 hvac system from Parker and sons 3 months ago. This morning it stopped working. We called and they put us on the schedule for today. No time estimate. We have been waiting in august for 13 hours with no call from them. I've been calling every two hours for the last 6 hours and was told we were their next stop. If I had known they were going to treat me like this I would have gone with another company. At 12:30 am I called the company again and they told me that "be there today can mean anytime". They said that I was on the day schedule and the person couldn't get to me so they moved me to the night schedule. They moved me from the day to the night guys LAST stop. I asked why they didn't call me to inform me of the status change. They told me "they do not do that". There actions lead me to think they would rather leave you sitting in a hot house with your kids than tell you that you will be waiting as of now 15 hours. A professional company would be concerned and would have respect for there customers. They would not lead them on to think somebody was coming today as they said to me when I called at 10 am. If I had been told the truth I would have paid another come any to fix it or gotten a hotel for my wife and kids. It's now 2 o'clock in the morning and we called back. Now it goes to an answering service that tells you to call back at 7 o'clock in the morning. They said they hear this complaint all the time. Our situation is not unique. Do not use this company! They talk a big game and then leave you when things go bad. They talked us into paying $1700 for their top warranty and now we have an air conditioner that doesn't work. read more

This was my first ecperience with Parker and Sons. I was in the market for a complete replacement of our HVAC system. I received a quote from the firm that has done my regular maintenance for the past few years. As a check on that proposal I decided to get one through the Costco program that I've seen everytime I exited Costco. They sent out a consultant from Parker and Sons who inspected my project and prepared a proposal on the spot that included high end Lennox equipment and beat the competitors proposal by $3,000 having never seen that proposal. I did some researach on the proposed equipment and decided to move forward and gave them a go ahead on a Friday. They were out on Monday to do my somewhat complicated install as my furance and air handler are in my attic. The team arrived Monday morning as scheduled and completed the job as promised in one day. Team members came and went as needed from deliveries of equipment, to a crane for placing the outside unit, to an electrician to replace the breaker and inspect the wiring and the installation pair that fit the eqipment through the attic access opening with just minor damage. Amazing! They went over the operating instriuctions at the end of the day and thouroughly cleaned everything. A carpenter came out the next morning to repair the attic access opening to better than it was. Parker and Sons then registered the equipment and submitted applicable rebates on my behalf making for a complete and exceptional process. Will be happy to see Parker and Sons continuing my annual checkups and maintenace if ever needed. read more

I don't normally leave reviews, but given that I had seen some poor reviews for Parker & Sons, I was compelled to write a review about their recent service of my air conditioning unit. The unit stopped cooling around 7 pm on a weeknight in 100+ weather - I called to set up an appointment, assuming it would be the next day. Technician arrived within the hour, and was able to diagnose the problem quickly. The company did all of the leg work to determine that the part was still under warranty (unit was not purchased from P&S) and quickly discovered that there was not a replacement part in Arizona and would be 5-7 business days. At no cost to me (despite not having a service contract with the company or purchasing any units from them) the technician was back the next day to put in a temporary fix to start cooling my house again. I received a call the next week when the permanent part was ready and the next morning the technician arrived exactly at 8 am (my time period was 8-10am) and was done within 45 minutes. Each time the same technician came to work on my unit and was very courteous. Throughout the process, all of the employees were focused on making sure our house was cooling and did not leave us in the dust. Yes, there are probably cheaper options out there, and if you have a straightforward fix with a common part that may be a better option. Knowing that Parker and Sons will go above and beyond (three service calls of 45 min - 1 hour each for a total of only $370), I plan to continue to use them in the future. read more
