I'm from out of town and I chose this place to bring my family who were meeting nearby based on it's good yelp reviews but it was a disappointing experience both in service, and food quality. There was some confusion about seating as one of the waitresses did not want us to use a 6 person table for only 4 and the high tops were too tall for my mom to climb into. We were waiting and then about to leave when another waitress decided to accomodate us at the empty table but we were treated awkwardly for using this spot even though the empty chairs were quickly needed by the next group coming in. Unfortunately I could not find a menu online ahead of time. For a "taphouse" the draft selection was limited. I had a clam roll filled with rubbery fried clams and a roll that broke in the bottom so it would no longer hold the contents. My mom had a chicken wrap and asked for no banana peppers but it came loaded with them anyway so she couldn't eat it. My husband and brother both had nice looking fish and chips. I have been a huge Parker's fan for many years-I am not sure what has happened to this place but the last 2 times my family and I have been there, we've been totally disappointed. We were there again tonight, my wife ordered a sampler platter for dinner, it came our cold and not cooked-the Mozz sticks were cold and raw on the inside-potato skins were cold and cheese on top was slimy. I ordered the clam wrap special-it was ok at best. My one son had the kid's spaghetti and he only ate a he noodles that didn't have sauce on them-sauce was very peppery for a small child. The best part our dinner-the pretzel stick app and the wine for the adults. We won't be coming back here any time soon. read more

Ordered the Dewey on 3-2-16 well done. It came out raw in the middle. Told my server as soon as I could get her attention long enough. Her response was you should have told me sooner. Food was good with large portions. Service was a little slow. We had to wait for a table to open up. The hostess just told us to go to the open table on our own; a little odd since she did not show us where it was. Waitress eventually showed up but disappeared after we finished our dinner. We came into Parkers this evening with some friends and we are leaving very dissatisfied. We still don't even know who our server was as we literally only saw her twice when she took our order and gave us our check. We had to go to the bar for our drinks, ask anyone we could find just for the server to take our order. Oh and don't you worry we found the to go boxes on our own. However, I will say the food was very delicious and I give the kitchen props on their food. 2 1/2 hours later we are leaving with full bellies and pretty sure we won't be back! read more

the taco soup is to die for. It only made on Mondays. I did place a to go order and had a few missing items. Just double check your order. It gets loud at the bar and sometimes the waitresses have difficulty hearing. Food is right on for lunch, and drinks with clients. read more

truly, this place is extremely over hyped. when driving by, it looks like a great place and when you hear all good things about this place, you remind yourself it's a place on the list of things to check out. i've heard so many great things about their food, for years so when i finally got around to trying it, i was shocked. i was originally thrown off by how uncomfortable the atmosphere of it was. it was too dark to even read the menu without shoving your face in it, the seating situation as a whole was uncomfortable, and it took roughly 15 minutes to be waited on-so the service wasn't good either. eventually my friend and i order, i got something basic (i believe chicken fingers and cheese fries) due to the lack of menu options-another let down, with a sprite. the sprite tasted like dirty water, which tends to be an issue at a few places, so it was whatever. i get the cheese fries and they're the boring, half assed cheese fries you could easily make at home with shredded cheese. bland. not worth the price. i get my chicken fingers, bland. again, not worth the price. i don't remember exactly what my friend got, but it was something a little more unusual/special menu item and she didn't care for it herself either. overall, i'm sure they could have been having a bad day, or they have better menu items than what we chose but i wouldn't even risk spending more money on this place just to have my opinion made stronger. don't do it, choose another place to eat, even if that means applebees. read more

I've been in and out of Auburn for ten years and Parkers is consistently good for drinks, food, and atmosphere. They say the displeased are 10 times more likely to complain and here it is. I had a buddy up to visit from Virginia and we left all food and drink to the wind except for Sunday night before he left we were gonna hit Parkers! and it was the one time where everything fell apart. My girlfriend and my order were put in but his was not. My steak fries were clearly fried once, left in the basket and it was assumed that I wouldn't figure out that the chunks of fryer trash on my plate hadn't been fried twice. I know if I said something they would have accommodated me rapidly but the damage was done and suddenly my favorite place to bring out of town friends embarrassed me thoroughly. Beyond that the waitress "forgot to put his order in", table of three, orders for two plates of food... I feel that something should have clicked there. Needless to say, while I will still be frequenting Parkers, I'm on the lookout for a new "go to" spot in Auburn read more
