    Feast for two
    Lily F.

I rounded up to 5 stars, I would give it a 4.5. Great prices, you are getting what you paid for and it's not bad! Very nice staff. Tasty barbecue sauces, my favorite was the hot and spicy. My husband and I got the feast for two, and it was more than enough for the both of us. My only two complaints would be that the brisket was a little dry( add enough bbq and it's alright) and how dark it is in the restaurant. But over all I would eat here again.

This was my 13th BBQ restaurant in Nebraska. For lunch, I ordered an appetizer of brisket nachos, and a refillable soda (Pepsi products). Fresh tortilla chips and nicely smoked and chopped brisket melded with green onion, jalapenos and various cheeses to produce a meal in its own right for one-- and even two adults might be hard pressed to save room for dinner plates. The service was friendly and attentive (thanks, Nicole), so for $18.14 + tip this was a good deal all the way around. I'm looking forward to a return visit to sample more of the BBQ side of the menu.

I have vague, but find, memories of visiting Parker's as a child. Specifically on days after spending hours in the sun at the formerly public Lamoni beach. I was thrilled to stumble upon this little bit of nostalgia on a recent camping trip in the Gretna area. We did this in two parts, however. Our first attempt to visit was on our anniversary celebration. At the end of our 45 minute wait time, we were informed that they'd lost water and had to close for the evening. Hugely disappointed, this sent us off on a long and draining evening of finding alternative food (we hit another unexpectedly closed restaurant in an unfamiliar area, landed at one much further away than we'd hopes where we received terrible service...) And then we decided to try for a redemption visit a couple months later. This time we waited for another 45 minutes (I think this is fairly standard for dinner if you don't come early). We were delighted to finally be served. I regret that I don't remember what my husband ordered, but I do remember that he got the cheesy potatoes and we both loved them! I ordered the blackened chicken salad and it was delicious and flavorful and filling! (Especially that cornbread pairing ) The servers were clearly working hard, and it had a very family owned+family friendly feel. We felt lucky to have a spot for the night and enjoyed our delayed meal!

The food and services were exceptional. Best ribs I have ever eaten. The baked beans were excellent.

Good food, fair prices, friendly staff. Was there Memorial Day and the place was packed. Even so, the service was excellent.

Really good BBQ! The chicken is zesty and the brisket is savory. Solid food. Good service and a relaxing ambiance.

Their brisket was really dry and they also put the wrong kind of gray sauce on my mashed potatoes.

I got the mac and cheese and baked beans. The turkey is smothered with BBQ sauce, or you can opt to have the sauce on the side. The turkey leg was juicy and tasty. The service itself was on the slower side, but we didn't mind since we were catching up with family. The staff was very attentive; as soon as they saw we had a toddler, they brought out some mac and cheese, which was really thoughtful. They also bring out a sampler plate with different menu items. They were out of a few things, but we didn't mind and had great substitutions. Overall, this is a nice spot to get some tasty food. The place itself is small, so it can get pretty cramped. We will definitely be back.

Founder Joe Hager developed his barbecue craft through his experiences in Texas, and he's bringing some of the best Texas-style barbecue in Lincoln to the table. I placed a to-go order over the phone and was impressed by how helpful the staff was in walking me through the menu -- from portion sizes to side recommendations and other options. When I arrived, the order was quickly prepared, boxed fresh, and ready to go. There are several must-try items here: * **Beef Brisket** -- Tender, juicy, and beautifully smoked with a perfect bark. * **Pork Ribs** -- Exactly how ribs should be done. They don't "fall off the bone," because great ribs shouldn't. Instead, the meat pulls away cleanly with just the right amount of tenderness, much like competition-style barbecue ribs. Perfectly smoked and not drowned in sauce -- absolutely outstanding. * **Borracho Beans** -- A flavorful Tex-Mex classic made with pinto beans simmered in beer along with bacon, onions, garlic, tomatoes, spices, and chunks of brisket. The staff described them as "drunken beans," which is a pretty fitting description. Canyon Joe's Barbeque delivers a true slice of Texas barbecue -- the kind that pulls gently off the bone and keeps you coming back for more.
