    Chicken Pesto Sandwich Chicken Pesto

Huge, quality sandwiches for a great value. I got the City Boy (roast beef with BBQ sauce) with everything on it, and they did not skimp on the toppings to the point where they were overflowing from the bread. A bit messy, but the best things in life often are. I also appreciate how they include avocado in their sandwiches at no extra charge, which is rare in SF. All this for $10.99 before tax, which will fill you up for one meal and could even make two meals if you're not too hungry. I called ahead to place an order, and it was ready in 10 minutes after calling. I originally asked about the Dirty South sandwich from a previous menu, and the man who answered said he could try to make it even though it wasn't on the menu. It turns out he wasn't able to because they don't have brisket anymore, but it was a nice gesture for him to even consider making something that wasn't on the menu.

94117 (used to be called double trouble)

I was running errands around the area today and wanted to get a sandwich since I was hungry. I went in looking for the Double Trouble since that one looked tasty from the pics on Yelp but was told it was now called "94117". I ordered it on dutch crunch and it was ready in about 10 minutes. I walked over to The Parkside and sat on a bench outside to enjoy the sandwich. The Dutch crunch bread was warm and soft. Plenty of turkey, bacon, and pepperoncinis, etc in the sandwich. Pretty good value for the price and was full.

Parkside Market is a non-descript corner store on Hayes near Baker, but Hayes has several corner stores. This one has sandwiches and today I decided to try a sandwich here. You know me and sandwiches. I opted for tuna today and it came on a french bread roll with veggies and some sauce that I picked like bbq and hot sauce. The guy working here was nice and friendly. I also got some drinks and snacks. San Francisco is full of corner stores and you know I like to try them and play with the corner store.

The people who work here are always really nice, and the sandwiches are amazing. I really enjoy stopping by here to grab a sandwich then finding a nice spot to enjoy the delicacy at Golden Gate Park (which is closeby this corner store)

I got the Hayes and Lyon on Dutch crunch, and it was everything I could have hoped for! A big sandwich for a fair price! It comes on your choice of bread with turkey, ham, cheese, and avocado. I got mine with "everything" -- tomato, lettuce, onion, pickles, pickled jalapeño. It was super fresh and I can't wait to come try more!

Delicious sandwich! I forget the name.

Great sandwich and friendly staff. It's a well stocked corner store in a quiet neighborhood. I came here after riding my bike through Golden Gate Park and needed lunch. The sandwiches are traditional large San Francisco style sandwiches. The menu is huge! They charge a huge premium for credit cards and the ATM on site was broke.

The Darlicious was great! They were out of bacon, so I chose prosciutto instead. The sandwich was amazing, served on dutch crunch bread with sriracha mayo! Turkey (salsa/pepper?)-Havarti-avocado-prosciutto... yum! They can also put on any other toppings you want... think I got tomatoes too. Plenty of sandwich! Tons of different sandwich choices, all listed on the wall. Lived up to the Yelp expectations and other recommendations! Rumor from the owner's Uncle is that they're planning to re-do the market a bit... make it nicer, better refrigeration system, etc.

Actually, I hardly ever go to Safeway anymore. Shelves are always well stocked, store is very clean, and just a pleasant place to shop at. In one incident over a year ago, another customer verbally harassed me and threatened physical harm while I was shopping. Her child was left unattended and was knocking items over, which I reported to security. The guard failed to do his job and did not intervene appropriately. When a supervisor arrived, the situation was handled much more professionally. I should feel safe shopping in my local market. That guard no longer works there, but the experience was upsetting and difficult to move past. Unfortunately, in January 2026, I encountered similar issues with a new security guard. He has repeatedly followed me around the store without cause. Most recently, he approached me unnecessarily, stood uncomfortably close, and spoke to me in an intrusive manner while I was selecting items. His behavior showed poor training and a lack of respect for personal boundaries. These repeated experiences with security staff are negatively affecting the atmosphere at Woodlands. I am a respectful, regular customer and do not want to feel uncomfortable or monitored without cause when shopping. Proper security training and professionalism are essential for customer safety and trust.

We were in San Francisco for about a week, and having a Trader Joe's so close was a total lifesaver. We could easily stop in and grab breakfast foods, snacks, and, of course, our favorite peanut butter cups. It saved us from having to spend a ton of money eating out for breakfast every morning, and we were able to stock up on snacks that lasted us for the entire trip. This Trader Joe's was definitely a different experience than the one we're used to back home in the St. Louis suburbs. Since it was right in the city, you actually had to take an escalator down to get into the store, which was kind of fun and unexpected. I also felt like there was surprisingly more room in the aisles than I expected for a city location. The checkout line was a completely different story! It wrapped around the store, which honestly gave me a little anxiety because I felt like I needed to hurry and get everything because the line looked like it was going to take forever. But they had a ton of checkers working, and the line actually moved incredibly fast. Before I knew it, we were checked out and on our way. It was just really nice to be somewhere familiar while experiencing a totally different version of Trader Joe's in another city. Having one so close to our hotel made our trip easier, more affordable, and a little more fun. And yes, we absolutely stocked up on those peanut butter cups!
