I came to see Dr Baek neurologist to get his opinion on whether I needed cervical spine disc replacement soon or I could wait. I have severe spinal stenosis, severe Degenerate Disc Disease and I know I need surgery at sometime but am not excited about it. He was very honest with me and confirmed what I was told was correct. He was nice, professional, caring and a good listener even as I cried he handed me tissues and apologized that it was not the news I wanted to hear. read more

I would give a zero if allowed. I had open heart surgery and then some possible TIAs and my primary Doctor wanted to see Dr. Baek STAT. They could get me schedule for 3 1/2 weeks even with a STAT. Then the front desk/schedulers did not forward the correct info to Dr. Baek and he refused to see me because I did not have a lumbar CT scan which was from an earlier visit. They did not relay that I had open heart surgery and complications with possible TIA's. That has nothing to do with the lumbar spine. His front desk is horrible because they do not relay proper information. The Dr. Baek refusing to see me is unprofessional. DO NOT GO there as there is rarely room in the waiting area and they do no listen. Horrible experience. read more

I have been visiting this office since April of 2025 for a medical re-evaluation to get my drivers license unsuspended. I have nothing negative to say about this place, my interactions with the staff are usually very brief. I really wanted to give a review as a thank you to Kayla. She is the assistant of Anna Bravo. She has been extremely kind and helpful throughout this long and stressful process, helping me get my medical records from the ER in time for upcoming appointments and staying in constant contact. Always returning calls anytime I had questions and genuinely seems understanding about how frustrating this can all be. Thankfully Kayla was always there to help. read more

Stephanie called about my neurology appointment saying they had no referral and I was told by the same Dr previously to go to pain management. Guess she doesn't get it that you need a referral for another appointment for chronic migraines. I already provided it but they list it. Had to take my mom here for a consult and we arrived 40 minutes early (appt was at 2:30) - I completed all the paperwork and turned it in around 2:20 - we did not get seen until after 3:30. Front desk was a little put out when I inquired about being seen - she got up and checked, advised we were next. The doctor was a little hard to understand due to his accent, but he was fairly friendly and his nurse was friendly as well. After we had to check out with front desk nurse again and same girl - not very nice - no smile - just not a happy person. Avoid this place if you can. I was seen by Dr. Ali. He pushes brand name drugs I didn't need (confirmed by different doctor later) and drew out visits I'm guessing to get more money from my insurance all which I was suffering in pain everyday. On top of that the girls at the front desk and the on the phone could not be more rude and hard to work with. They are so bratty and give so much attitude to every single patient, wither it be in person or on the phone. One of them said my insurance was invalid and tried to make me pay. I tired telling her that it wasn't and there might have been something she had done wrong and she began to yell at me telling me that I'm lying about my insurance. I told her to call my insurance and guess what, it's valid. She must have done something wrong. Needless to say that was my last visit. Unfortunately this offices incapability to do their job probably landed me in the hospital. Lucky I have a much better care team. read more

I have to use this clinic due to Medi-Cal and IEHP for my daughter, but I've had nothing but horrible experiences. The front desk staff are just as rude and disrespectful as everyone is saying; on the phone and in person. We only saw a NP at the first visit and she was nice but we never even met the Neurologist. Now a year later, we needed med refills and when the pharmacy called to renew the prescription they denied it. So now i'm calling to schedule an appointment to ask the doctors why my daughter has now gone 1 week without seizure meds, but of course the receptionist is being rude and she put me on hold and i've been waiting now for over 15 min. **UPDATE: someone picked up after 17 min without saying a word and transferred me to a voicemail** Needless to say my message was not nice. read more

I always get great attention from Dr William Baek, he always has the greatest attention he always explains and answers any questions I have

I think Dr. Baek is a great doctor. He is always cheerful and nice to me. Sometimes he is really busy and doesn't spend a lot of time with me, but other times when he is not so busy he does. He always listens to me even though he doesn't always agree with me. I can always get my refills on time and that is really important. The office staff is fine He is so much better than my last doctor. read more

The worst medical experience. plan on being there for a long time, you are never seen anywhere near your appointment time. the shortest wait time we have experienced is 30 minutes, but usually closer to 45 minutes + from your appointment time. the neurologist doesn't have the best "bed side manner." he is very short and doesn't seem interested in engaging in our concerns. def seems like he is trying to just get you in and out without really any care. read more

Very unprofessional services, from answering the phones, reception and nurses. I had a procedure done called NCV & EMG with Dr. Baek. I was never informed nor provided written information about what to expect after the procedure. During the procedure there was on spot that Dr. Baek punctured with the needle/electrode that it was extremely painful and felt that he hit a blood vessel. Couple days later develop it a huge hematoma, bruise black and white and swelling at the puncture site and also pain radiating to my wrist. Called the office to report my conditions and basically they were not concerned at all and told me to go the ER or the Doctor that referred me to them. I am very concern about the sterilization procedures of these needles/electrodes since my blood stream was compromised. Called back several times requesting a phone call from Dr. Baek and they refused to send the message to the Dr. and again send me to the ER for evaluation. I will never go back to this office and highly suggest if you are patient of them, verify before infection control protocols to avoid any possible complications. The whole office staff needs to be train to be polite, professional and caring to their patients. I am only giving them 1 star because it's the only option to write this review. read more

I have an Arachnoid Cyst in my brain and major back problems. Over the past 15 years I have been to probably 7 different Neurologists due to moving. I have found Dr Ali to be a wonderful caring physician. I absolutely fell in love with Dr Liu and if you see him you will too. He so caring and has the best bedside manner of any other doctor I have ever seen. He does the Nerve Tests and explains everything he's doing before he does it. He also gives you the results of the test right after he's done. No waiting a week or two! The staff is also wonderful. They work very hard and deserve a shout out! Wanted to start off by saying that I absolutely love Dr William Baek, he is fantastic!! But the girls at the front desk are an entirely different story...they all have the worse personalities and attitudes! Not welcoming at all, they cut you off as you are talking (both on the phone and in person). Never greet you. Very disrespectful! They make this one hour trip to see this amazing neurologist not worth it! I truly feel uncomfortable dealing with them and leave their unhappy. No matter who it is or how nice you try to be to them they are very cold and snarky. Please change your attitudes because you just don't know what is patients are going through in life. after months of deciding to write this review here it is , Dr. Baek was good when i first saw him thought he was going to be nice and have bedside manners from what my first appointment gave off so at my second appointment he told i had epilepsy due to what symptoms i have and the EEG results, he wanted me to take medication starting at 750mg going up to 2,000mg a day, which after that appointment realized i wasn't comfortable with that being that i was only 19 years old and have never taken medication everyday like that so at my third appointment he asked if i took them and i said no i don't understand why i have to take so many mg's being that i've never taken any medication and my mom also wanted to know more information on why so we had her talking thru the phone with us and Dr.Baek just got mad and rude about us asking why and yelled in his office well you weigh ____lbs !!! sounding very rude about my weigh almost insulting to me pretty much calling me fat and after all the questioning of the medication he just wanted to argue not explain properly and decide since i didn't want to agree with his conclusions that he longer wanted me as a patient and discharged me so speed up to now , I have gotten a second opinion and I do not have epilepsy nor ever did need to take that medication, I was diagnosed with vasogal syncope, So don't listen to that asshole if your second guessing just get the second opinion! read more

I have been a patient of Parkside Medical Group, Inc., since or about June 2019, where Dr. William S. Baek was assigned to me. I really love Dr. Beak, because after suffering from neck and thighs pain for 5 years, he finally found a diagnose regarding all my medical issues. It is hard for me to sit down, stand up, walk or be on my feet for more than 15 minutes due to pain in my lower back and thighs. I have been bouncing from doctors to doctors and all they did was treat the pain but not the cause. I have been in so many different kind of medications for pain and they do help but only temporarelly, then the pain comes back. Dr. Beak listen to my problem and went beyond to find the cause, including another health issue that was not expected was found. A patient can go to any health care provider, but what make the difference is the DOCTOR! read more

I remember the service being great here when I came in but the lady on the phone has MAJOR attitude problems. Just felt the projection over the phone. Not my fault you're stressed out over your life. It doesn't take that much to be respectful instead of catty. I asked something simple n she hit back with some nasty ass projection. read more
