Signed the contract (quote was appealing) and they were able to get a spot pretty quickly but I had to postpone the job for little over a month due to my personal schedule and obviously they were very accomodating. Right off the bat, I'll just say I highly recommend Parkside Roofing! We live in an older house with probably the original roof and were far overdue for a new one. I contacted Parkside for an estimate based on Yelp reviews, and was highly impressed with Dave and John's quick responses, efficiency and reasonable estimate. Dave was extremely patient with us as we went through the various roof shingles, types and colors - for like 2-3 months! We exchanged emails for a period of time before we were ready to move forward. We chose GAF, Timberline HD Reflector Series, in Stone Gray. Once the team got started under the supervision of Isidro (Izzy), they were like bulldozers. We were so impressed with the hard work performed by the entire team. They worked from morning until night for several days until complete. Originally looking for a leak repair for the roof of rental property in Cypress. I dread dealing with contractors so read the YELP reviews for several of the local roofing companies. Parkside Roofing had the highest and best reviews. John came to give an estimate on 1/8. He was very honest with me that it would be difficult to properly repair the roof: it is an older roof and found out later when removing the old roof, the last roofing job was just done on top of the old roof, so there was 2 layers of roofing material. There were a couple of other jobs ahead of me but John and Dave were able to fit me in and the new roof was completed on Feb 16 with inspector coming the following week. I didn't even bother getting any other quotes just went with Parkside Roofing and they did not disappoint! I'm in agreement with Andrew H and Melinda W's reviews. Here's extra info not mentioned in other reviews: the foreman was very respectful to the tenant that had a phone interview and worked around that timeframe. There is a small water heater closet outside of the house that needed to be reroofed. The foreman went the extra mile to improve the look of the closet by rebuilding the top frame and extending it further in front of the closet door so that water would drip further in front of the closet and also replaced/improved the vent piping (I had no special request here). Also added ventilation fans in the attic and a better stovetop roof cap (again I had not special request for this) I feel the foreman takes care and pride in his work as if this was his own home. They even allowed me to go on the roof to view the roof decking. The ultimate customer service experience is that they even came back to replace the roofing above a shallow dormer window that I hadn't noticed was not completed and just assumed was going to be included. No problem for John and Dave. They scheduled someone to come back and fix that. No disagreements, no extra charges for having to send someone back. That's what I call customer service. I will definitely be a repeat customer. read more

That lead to me going through the hole house looking up and trying to find anything else. After some extensive research through multiple sources, I came across Parkside Roofing and they had gotten some pretty good reviews so I thought I would have them come check it out. Dave responded to us very quickly and had someone come out just as quickly. The estimator was punctual and also let me know they were coming ahead of time as well. The estimator check out the leak and also took a look at the entire roof while he was up there. Not only did he answer all of my questions, he also noted several things we should be aware of. Talking to them felt like a breeze and were not trying to upsell me on stuff. I love how they were tentative to information and communication. The next day, they sent me the estimate and was very easy to read. I called Dave because I had some questions but he walked me through it. After signing the contract, they had me scheduled in and the crew out to work within several days. Izzy was very informative and walked me through the entire process and answered everyone question that I had. I'm also happy that they pointed out that there was water running further up and gave me the option of going with the repair so just repairing the immediate leaking area. I don't even know where to begin. These guys run a tight and professional ship. They maintain communication with you about your project. If you have a problem, they come out to check it and, if necessary, correct it. We've had them put roofs on a house and garage, a duplex and a four unit building. Recently, they discovered what we thought was a leak in the roof of the duplex was, in fact, a leak in the skylight. Guess what . . . they worked with me to locate a new one, which they installed. There have been occasions when I called them out about what I thought was a leak in a roof they installed--only to discover the leak was in the stucco under the roof. As I said above, the person they sent out would patch the stucco even though that was not his job and it was not related to the roof. I appreciate this company. Just know I only leave reviews if a company or person is fantastic. I don't like to leave reviews generally. But when a business is great, I want to make sure people know it. read more

Easy 5 stars for Dave and his crew. Dave is just a nice guy and after speaking with him during his estimate could tell he does not cut corners and explained the whole process. I had him roof my patio cover to cut out the sun and rain. His crew showed up this morning and worked through the day in the 90 plus heat. Several hours later the job was complete and perfect. Dave and his team were so efficient. I noticed a little stain on the ceiling. I suspected that there might be a leak. I was like oh boy... this can be bad news. There were many roof service companies, and I didn't know who to call. I inquired some and Parkside Roofing was the fastest responder among others. I contacted them and asked to check the roof, and I'm so glad that I chose them. John came out on time, and checked the roof. He took some pics and told me that they would be contacting me. My elderly mother's tile roof had two loose tiles that I could see. So I wanted to get a roofing company to repair these loose tiles. I called two companies that I found on Yelp based on the excellent reviews. I communicated with Dave Park by email and phone and arranged for his estimator, John Lee, to meet me at my mother's house. John texted me when he was on his way and his arrival. He pulled out his ladder and looked at the roof from his ladder and took pictures. Dave then sent me a proposal with a link to the pictures and lists of residential and commercial references. I decided to go with Parkside Roofing because it was the more reasonable proposal, approximately $750 to fix up to 5 broken tiles. I spoke with Dave on the phone to confirm his California Contractor's license number because his work agreement had an out-of-date license number. We arranged to schedule the repair work a month later in mid-December. Dave did call, text and email me to see if the repairs could be done the day before Thanksgiving but that day didn't work for me. As the scheduled date arrived, Dave and I communicated by email and text to confirm the date and timeframe. Izzy showed up about 3:30pm on a Wednesday afternoon and walked carefully over the entire roof to see the broken tiles and check the vents, pipes and chimney. Izzy took before pictures and fixed five broken tiles. His inspection indicated that there were a total of 18 broken tiles and major issues with the metal flashing next to the chimney. Izzy showed me the pictures of the major problems and explained why it needed to be repaired. So I requested another proposal from Dave to fix the rest of the broken tiles and repair the chimney flashing, approximately $1600. Dave worked New Year's Day and texted and emailed me to see if he could schedule the repair work for January 2nd. I could not be at my mother's house that day but knowing that Izzy was going to do the work I agreed. Dave followed up a few days later and emailed me links to the before and after pictures of the repair work. Parkside Roofing did a great job of repairing my mother's tile roof and deserves 4 stars. I deducted 1 star because the work agreement did not have the correct California contractor's license number and needs to be updated, and repair work gets scheduled in between much larger roofing projects on very short notice. read more

I did a lot of research and got multiple quotes before we decided to go with Parkside Roofing. From my first conversation with John and later with Dave, I knew we would be in good hands. With something that's as important as your home's roof, you want someone you feel you can trust and someone who takes the time to explain the process and answer every question. Because our existing roof tiles were in good condition, we were given the option of a totally new roof or a reroof with our existing tiles. We went the latter route and saved a significant amount of money. Another roofer I contacted refused to give us this option. The contract we signed was very clear and we were made aware of what could be additional costs once the work started. Once a date was set, the crew got to work and completed the reroof in 3 days. We had a lot of wood damage and they did a great job with all the repairs. When one of the roofers saw me come out of the garage to run an errand, he noticed that there was some sawdust on the garage floor.
