I traveled all the way to this diner near Coney Island for a friend's birthday lunch. It has been voted Best Diner, so I wanted to experience it for myself. The interior is vast and there was comfortable booth seating. For my drink, I decided to get the Chocolate Milkshake with peanut butter. This tasted amazing and was ultra thick, creamy, rich with peanut butter flavor mixed with sweet chocolate. I shared the Appetizer Sampler, which included Corn Nuggets, Mac and Cheese Bites, Onion Rings, as well as Chicken Tenders. These were all very tasty with a delightful crunchiness and well seasoned. Since the menu was extensive, I had a hard time deciding what to order. I finally went with Building my own Sandwich. I selected Pastrami, Muenster cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato on rye bread, with a side of cheese fries. The sandwich was humongous with a good amount of each ingredient, however there was no sauce, so it was very dry. The Pastrami was nice and peppery, as well as tender. The cheese was melty, while the crisp veggies gave the sandwich a fresh element. The Cheese Fries were not good though. There was American cheese (which I'm not a fan of to begin with) on top of the fries and they had become rubbery and tough. The desserts looked yummy, and I was planning to order Chocolate Covered Strawberries, but I was simply too full to eat anything else. And I had to take half a sandwich and most of the cheese fries to go. Service was pretty good. Our waiter was personable and accommodating with individual checks for everyone. Toward the end, it got a little hectic and it took a little longer for items to come out. I wouldn't consider this place to be the best diner ever, but I would be open to returning. I would like to try one of the entrees, like Pork Chop and some of their sweet offerings.

Your typical diner food! We had also ordered soup that isn't pictured but it came out warm/cold. The food was okay, nothing to extravagant or wow factor but def something that'll hold you down after a night of drinking.

I love this place! Service is good. The food was delicious and I would say not pricey at all. We took a brunch sandwich with pastrami to share, it was enough for two people. It was delicious and we were full!

Very good food and fast service. We ordered the French onion soup, chicken Caesar salad and Philly cheese steak. Also ask for the coleslaw and pickles. Everything was tasty.

Went here after a night of drinking. Ordered the big boy breakfast 3 eggs sunny side up bacon ham eggs French fries. Coffee. Freaking incredible. The service was quick and fast. Food came out fresh and prompt. Everything we got was delicious. Place was clean and well kept. Tables weren't sticky and the menus were clean. Nothing worse than a diner with sticky menus and tables.

What an absolutely miserable place. Food is mediocre at best. Service is nonexistent, and it's unnecessary for servers to argue about not wanting to help another server's tables because they don't get a tip from it. That's bad management and training. Tables shouldn't be penalized for needing ketchup or syrup because they asked someone who wasn't their server for it. Seriously, a waiter need not say, sorry it's not my table when they are three feet from the ketchup. Even the cashier seemed unbelievably miserable. What a dreadful place to end up.

Looking for a great home cooked meal? Look no further than the Parkview Dinner, in Coney Island, Brooklyn. The food is plentiful and delicious. Ample portions with tremendous deserts. Giota took great care of us and definitely made us feel right at home. The place was already decked out for fall, Halloween & upcoming Thanksgiving Holidays. The ambiance is comfortable, not loud, and they have plenty of parking (a treat around the city now).

Haven't been to a diner in a long time and stopped by for a quick meal with some coworkers. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. I know diners always don't have the best reputation although everyone was polite and helpful. The food was good and what I expect in a diner. Prices were fair and I think the best part would have been the desert if I had it. All the deserts looked AWESOME although I resisted temptation. Cakes, cookies, pies, etc. I had the salmon avocado burger with fries, my buddies had the burger deluxe with sweet potato fries and one had the pastrami which looked great. I would recommend them if your in the mood for diner food and not looking to dress up or impress anyone.

Early Sunday morning after charging my car at the new Tesla charging area near by I decided to crab some breakfast and it was pretty good. Customer service was on point walked in and was seated right away. They took our order and then minutes later our food arrived. We had a table by the window and had a view of the parkway which was pretty cool. Overall, great experience and a good way to start the day off. If you are in the area make sure to stop by Parkview Dinner for a bite to eat.

Solid diner with quick service. I was greeted, seated, and placed order in under 5 minutes. Food came out fast and was tasty. Regular diner experience and decor, with outstanding service. There televisions around in case you want to take a glimpse of the sports, like me. They have a full bar as well, I want to add.

The banana and strawberry not so much as to me that didn't really have much of a taste, but maybe that was because the rest of it was super flavorful and over powered the fruit. Having a dessert spot in the neighborhood that is open late night and is serving flavors of our culture is nothing short of a dream come true. Not so great for my weight loss goals, though haha. Thank you, Moose. I came in here, and the place was absolutely buzzing, with groups of people enjoying their late night desserts- a testament to how much we needed this spot to just open and thrive and exist. I don't personally like cream Kenafa so I haven't really tried anything off their menu yet, but the Dubai chocolate crêpe is really calling out my name, and I am just going to bite the bullet and try it one of these days. I did go in to sample their Dubai chocolate. As a chocoholic, I am on a low-key search for the best Dubai chocolate bar in the city. This bar did not disappoint. The filling to chocolate ratio was perfect. However, I do feel that there is an over balance of crispy kanafa in the filling. I think it could use more pistachio cream and be a little on the runnier side. Can't wait to come back and try that crêpe. Until I am able to make that trip back, do stop in and enjoy a sweet treat in this cute little dessert shop. It's also Palestinian owned so you know you are supporting the right people and the right cause while satisfying that sweet tooth craving. What more could a customer ask for?

That one is around a $9 price point. The matcha latte, for around $7, was not my favorite. It's quite light, and the matcha is overpowered by the milkiness. I would come back to try the varieties (the brown sugar or strawberry syrup) or the Yuzu lemonade, which sounds promising. Anyway, I was in Brooklyn with my brother to see a concert and had just finished dinner. We had some time before doors opened so we decided to grab a little ice cream before heading over to the venue. Farmacy was steps away - it all seemed like it was meant to be, so off we went. Farmacy aims to capture the nostalgia of an old fashioned soda shop and ice cream parlor. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by aesthetics - the tile, fixtures, and decor totally give off that vibe. There are a few tables to sit as well as a large bar area with stools; I also noticed a few tables set up outside as well. The traffic flow is set up so that you order first and then have it served to you after sitting. Browsing the menu, I noticed they have a selection of ice cream scoops, shakes, egg creams, specialty sodas, hot chocolates, and a large variety of sundae creations. Since we were there for ice cream, we decided to split a sundae -specifically the Sir Twix-a-Lot. This was chunks for shortcake tossed in caramel and topped with vanilla ice cream that was coated in a chocolate shell. Overall I thought the sundae was solid - but the combinations of textures weren't my favorite to be honest, mostly with how the shortcake played with the ice cream. It wasn't bad though - the flavors definitely gave the Twix aesthetic. My only other issue with the dish was that because chocolate shell was used, any residue at the bottom was hard so you have to chisel it if you want to savor any last spoonfuls; I guess that comes with the territory. Service was good - everyone was friendly. It wasn't too busy when we were there so we had our selection of seats and our ice cream was ready pretty quickly. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried Brooklyn Farmacy out - they have a large selection so I would definitely return when I'm in the area again.

As described, it was their take on a milk punch, and wasn't too sweet with a bright hint of citrus. I would recommend it. The hummus was good, being thick with a strong tahini flavor, though I have preferred others. Outside of the hummus, the daily salatim included a mix of mostly pickled items. First, there was some pickled cauliflower and carrots with a bit of turmeric. The second salatim was a more unique and spicier pineapple slaw, which was refreshing, and had some herbal flavor from parsley or something similar. The third was a cabbage slaw, which was alright, as I found it a bit too lightly seasoned. The last was a mix of cucumbers, olives, and other pickles, which was standard and tasty. Alongside all of this, the pita was warm and fresh, and the staff refilled everything when we asked. For the main course, I chose the Steak Shashlik, which they spell as shishlik, for $46, which came with tahini and some pickled onions. The steak was tender and well seasoned, and the tahini added a distinctive nuttiness. I especially enjoyed making a mini sandwich with the steak, tahini, pineapple pickle, and pita. Others at the table ordered the Spicy Lamb Kofta and other shashlik options, including Chicken and Trout. In terms of sides, someone got the $15 Fries with tahina ketchup, which they enjoyed. Overall, everyone enjoyed their meal, with no one ordering dessert as a few walked over to the tasty Bertoni Gelato nearby. This place is a tad expensive, but I wouldn't mind going back. Even as a fan of pickles, I wish the salatim were a bit more varied, such as including an eggplant or bean-based mezze. I presume the dinner version is a bit more varied, as there are many more salatim, but they should put a bit more effort into the lunch one as well.

The extra dollar for whipped cream would be nice because the their homemade whipped cream isn't sweet, so it will just thicken up the drink and give you that extra texture oooomph that you'll appreciate. Flavor-wise, I tried the masala chai, black cherry cardamom, and the saffron soft serve. The saffron soft serve reminded me of the leftover milk from ras malai turned into soft serve, which was interesting and nostalgic. The masala chai and cherry cardamom were more subtle than I hoped. Some tasted unique upfront but left a slightly weird aftertaste that kind of lingered. I respect what they're trying to do and can see why people love it, especially if you're easing into more globally inspired desserts, but for the price, I wanted stronger flavor payoff and a cleaner finish. TLDR: Unique global inspired ice cream flavors, friendly staff, and free samples, but some flavors felt muted and had an odd aftertaste.
