I have been a patient here for a few years. They are expensive and often try to upsell, but I still liked the service I received. Today I broke a piece of my left rear molar and called at 450 pm. They try and schedule an appointment before going out of town for a few weeks. The male receptionist asked if I could hold while he checked a patient out. At 5pm the phone started running ringing and it was answered with "no one to s here to take your call, goodbye!" Well goodbye parkway dental. I will be looking for a new dentist tomorrow and cancelling my appointments already scheduled. They need to fire the receptionist!!! read more

I visited this dental office for a filling, and I had also previously done a cleaning here. During my visits, I felt the overall experience was not thorough or well explained. This time, the X-rays did not clearly show the tooth that needed treatment, and I was not given a clear explanation of what was going on. A treatment plan involving extraction and root canal was presented quite quickly, which felt like it was already decided without enough discussion of alternatives. In addition, the cleaning felt incomplete, as it seemed mostly focused on the front teeth while the back molars were barely addressed. Overall, I did not feel the care was comprehensive, transparent, or patient-centered, and I would not feel comfortable returning. read more

Very disappointing (scam) experience at Parkway Dental Group. From the start, I felt profiled and pressured into unnecessary treatments. I went in expecting a routine cleaning, only to be told that I HAD to get a deep cleaning--at a shocking cost of $800. "I only want a routine cleaning" I said, but was told I couldn't have one. What made it even more suspicious was that the billing receptionist actually came into the check-up room to have this conversation, making it feel like they wanted to keep the scheming secret. When I pushed back and said I couldn't afford that, they suddenly dropped the price to $170. That alone felt like a huge red flag for upselling. Beyond the questionable pricing, Dr. Harris was unnecessarily rough when checking my gum line, poking harder than any dentist I've ever had. The entire experience left me feeling uncomfortable, disrespected, and like they were more focused on upselling than actual patient care. I won't be returning. read more

I can personally attest to what other reviewers have also said. This dental office has a transient staff and no sense of true connection to their patients OR the community. NONE of the staff members that are there today were there in 2020. They also frequently up-sell unnecessary services. And as a patient at this office for the past four years, I witnessed the quality of care degrading significantly to what it is now. Went in on 7/1 because my crown cap came off. First off I show up for my appointment and the person in their call center booked me for a place in Las Vegas so I sat and waiting for an additional hour to be seen even though I had an appointment. Staff were friendly over all, but when it came to business they gave me a quote of $1,300 for replacing my cap and I asked if that was with my insurance. They started acting strange and saying that they were having communication problems with my insurance but kept insisting to get the ball rolling on the procedure. I refused and had to sit and wait for another 30 minutes. They again stated that they couldn't get through to my insurance so I just told them to call me when they figured out my pricing. I am new patient here and I did not check the reviews before coming because my insurance assigned me to this office and I didn't think to check in advance. I'm glad I didn't because it may have skewed my experience. I actually had a great experience here (maybe that's because I was at a really horrible dental office prior to this ‍) but I was greeted and seen promptly, the X-rays were less painful than I have had in the past. I love that I can see the images too! The doctor (Dr kevar) seemed to take time to review my images with me, my concerns and tips for improving dental hygiene, and I felt it was quite comprehensive. There was absolutely no upcharge or "selling" and in fact I paid nothing for the visit. Overall, I am pleased with my experience. Hopefully we have consistent service with the rest of my family and for future visits. read more

Overall care is pretty good so no complaints about the work or pricing as such. What gives them one star is you can never get it. They are chronically understaffed for their patient list size and have a habit of canceling on you at the last minute with the replacement appointment being months out. This is unbelievably annoying let alone not good for maintaining my dental health. My suggestion is close the patient list until you have enough staff to deal with the people you have, along with figure out why you can't manage to staff adequately. They have two part time Drs and one hygienist at time of writing - no wonder nothing gets done. read more

The office staff and facility are nice enough. However, the experience with the dentist, Harris Khattak was horrible. This was a first-time visit; I called to confirm my insurance was accepted and stated I wanted just the standard check-up/cleaning. After x-rays and oral exam, the hygienist stated things looked good, but when the dentist came in, he stated I had enflamed gums which I'd never been told before/ have no symptoms of enflamed/sensitive/damaged gums. He suggested a laser treatment and when I declined his demeanor had a clear change and the cleaning that followed was the most painful dental experience of my life. It felt as if I was being punished for declining an additional expensive treatment. I have never left a dental office hurting, especially after a cleaning. To top it off, I paid my bill as I was leaving and three days later received a sizeable additional bill including "additional" treatments that did not reflect the appointment I had or what had been discussed during booking/check out. All in I'd say this was disappointing at best, this dentist should really reflect on his treatment of patients and make some big changes - or retire. read more

If I could rate Parkway Dental-10 I would. Last year I had pain in one of my molars and they took X-rays and said I needed to be seen by an endodontist. I came back for the appointment and he looked at the X-rays and said there wasn't a problem and it cost me $250 that my insurance didn't cover! He didn't even bother to look at my teeth or gums. I went back last fall for a 12:30 appointment for a routine exam and cleaning and by 1:10 nobody had even taken me back so I left. I tried again on March 1 and had to brave a pounding rainstorm to get to the office and when I tried to check in the receptionist told me my insurance had been canceled. I called United Healthcare and they said my insurance was totally valid. They are by far the worst health/medical provider I've ever experienced. read more

I work in benefits and completely understand what is covered in/out of network with codes for claims and multiple services that were not conducted on my visit were billed. I belong to AARP INS which they take. Every time I go there they overcharge me but because I have my dental book I have to show them what my portion is. Example: crown they quoted was $1174 My insurance said all I should pay $395! I feel they are ripping off the senior citizens Because most of us don't look in our ins books at the codes they give us in our estimations . You would save hundreds of dollars if you do. read more

if you're looking for a dentist.. this is NOT the one. They consistently change appointments, recommend care you don't need and make sure you feel bad about yourself during a cleaning. Recently they needed me to make TWO separate appointments. One for X-rays and the doctor and then come BACK a week later for my cleaning. They're so booked they said that's the only way they could do it even though it was originally booked both appointments together six months previous. A critical conflict came up for this Fridays appointment. I called and asked if we could adjust. They said they would call back. They never called back except to confirm my Friday appointment. I repeated my issue and I gave several different dates to change that appointment yet they couldn't accommodate. If I missed Friday's appointment I would be pushed out for a cleaning for another FOUR months. I asked if anything could be done. A waitlist and different way to keep my cleaning appointment? They said I could either take a later appointment in four months or find a new dentist. They do not care. read more

I have been to parkway dental many times in the past with no problem. This last visit, they told me I had to pay 8.00 for my exam which I never had to pay previously with my insurance. Then I asked them to cement my crown back on that had came off while I was in their office. Vanessa the front desk girl quoted me 100.00 which is ridiculous! I called my insurance provider and she said she doesn't know why they tried to charge me that amount my copay for recement was only 18.00 which is what I have payed in the past. Parkway dental is price gouging. They are horrible! At first I thought I was overeating about the 8.00 and then this happened. Save your money find and honest dental practice. You get 0 stars! Four months ago I thought I would try this dentist. They started out ok. Answered the phone and got appt . I booked exam and cleaning . Exam ok. I discovered there is New owner of this office . But cleaning person called in sick so no cleaning that day . Plus I was in there 4 hours . 2 hour wait plus exam time . Second appt another very long wait 1-2 hour wait plus cleaning was 1 1/2 hour. Third appt same thing . 4th appt today for cleaning person called in sick again and I didn't get message in time . They don't have back ups. Plus I've had several question front desk could not answer . I had to call three times to get answers to basic questions . I think because there is new owner staff is untrained and disorganized . Stay Away! My husband and I have been treated in this office for several years. He has Alzheimer's Disease and has dental/gum issues. (There is a hygienist there who is very kind and professional, that is with whom the appointment was anticipated.) Upon arrival we were taken to the x-ray area. This is a procedure that is very difficult for someone in his condition. After several attempts, I discussed this with the tech who promptly left. The "Office Manager" arrived to inform me that they will not clean his teeth without x-rays, and we have "refused" to get them. I explained that we were not refusing but needed accommodation. I asked to speak with the Dentist who I was told recently bought the practice. She informed me that She "was the Office Manager and this was their protocol." The end! It escalated; I was asked to leave. I called back and asked to speak with the dentist. I asked for a call back from the dentist and was essentially told he was too busy and "doesn't speak to patients". I asked when he could return my call... Later tonight?... Next week? Response, "He doesn't speak to patients." I must add in my most acerbic way...If the Office Manager wants to be treated with professional respect, Maybe she should consider dressing in something other than a tee shirt and jeans. My first experience with this office was great. They got me in. Took my discount plan, I don't have insurance. I have a credit card to pay my dental expenses through Smile Generation - the network they are part of. It was painless. Got my teeth fixed. Dentist was great. Support staff was great. Fast forward to today aka check on the oral surgery I had & get a cleaning. I get a call this morning as i'm about to leave the house to drive down in a storm. The lady says she doesn't have my insurance info. I explain I have a discount plan not insurance and that I found the info for their office through the plan. But I couldn't find my id card. So I called the plan provider. They give me the info I need. I call the office back. Give them the info. The office manager Tyeese says she'll call and clear it up. Cool. 5-10 minutes later I get a call back. The Tyeese says she can't get through. She also says they can't find someone with my birthday in their network. So I call the discount plan provider again and ask them to reach out to the office directly cause I need help. I don't know how to explain to someone who is supposed to be a professional in the affordable dental care industry the difference between insurance and a discount plan. I'm put on hold while they call the office. The lady hops back after a few minutes and says Tyeese told her that because this is a discount plan its creepy. I'm like wtf? The provider's customer service rep tells me she asked if Tyeese knew the difference between insurance and discount plans after checking to see if my dentist is on the network. He is for the record. Tyeese tells this rep that she has no idea what the difference is. This is the office manager according to their website. So after having my working lunch completely interrupted by the staff here's incompetence via phone, I ask for a box. Cut my lunch short and drive over 1/2 an hour early to sort everything out. Tyeese is rude and short with me. I tell her i'm not signing in until I know everything is worked out financially. She says she got the pay schedule and they are going to "honor" the pay fee. She said she waited 45 minutes on the phone with my provider. It was less than a 1/2 hour between when I talked to her, my provider and got into the office. Tyeese handed me the provider phone number and told me to call the company to get the information for her. She flat out asked me to do her job for her. I told her no. I agree to see the dentist today. I am quite literally sitting in the chair waiting on the dentist, who is generally really nice. But I will be finding a different dentist after this experience. Apparently because I don't have insurance I'm not worth providing due dilligance or providing good customer service to. Don't go here if you can avoid it. read more

I unfortunately did not have the best experience. Although the office was clean and the staff was nice, the work I had done on my teeth was a nightmare. My husband and I just moved to the area, so I was looking for a new dentist to get established with. I was ready for the regular exam check and a possible cleaning but ended up staying there for over 3 hours. I got my exam with Dr. Tully. He stated I should look into Invisalign due to crowding (I have never been told this by another dentist), also suggested getting my teeth whitened and that I needed to look into getting a mouth guard while I sleep (Also never been told this before). He also recommended I have two fillings redone. This isn't my first rodeo with fillings so I expected an easy fix and I would be on my way. EVERYTHING went wrong. They didn't have the right tools, the water device was dropped on the ground at one point and they ended up needing 2 other people to help him fix one filling. These two fillings took more than an hour to complete. I left there feeling like I had razor blades in my mouth. In the following days, I began to feel excruciating pain in the tooth he had done one of the fillings on. I called to have them recheck it because I knew something was wrong. It took them 3 days to get me back in (3 days I sat in pain). He ended up redoing the filling for a second time and claimed he got close to the nerve so I might be in more pain. It's been two weeks and I am still in pain. I ended up having to call another dentist, who said I may need a possible root canal now due to my filling not being done properly. I will not be going back, nor recommending anyone to go back either. read more

I'm not sure what's going on with the billing here, it just keeps going from bad to worse. The providers in this office are delta dental preferred providers. That means in the contract they have with delta dental they agreed to the codes to bill and except a contracted rate. They are violating that contract by billing codes that they know will be denied and requesting patients up front. Over the weekend I received an EOB from my medical insurance that parkway dental tried to bill my medical insurance for a visit in January that was paid out to them back in January by my dental insurance. I never provided them my insurance information so they must have accessed it through EPIC. I'm not sure if the problem here is incompetence or they are knowingly double billing and intentionally committing insurance fraud. I have filed appeals with my insurance and reported them for fraud. The process takes up to 30 days. I will update with what the resolution was. read more

Great staff and great doctor. Dr. Tully did my filling and provided exceptional service. He was very good with explaining things and gave me great tips to take care of my teeth. Usually I am very nervous going to the dentist but he made it easy with conversation and straight forward with telling me what he was going to do and the reasoning behind it. The entire team ranging from the assistants to the hygienist provided great service. Would definitely recommend this office! read more

I have a phobia of dentist since my last one royally messed up my tooth, I thought I was gonna lose it. I don't have insurance in California but Parkway Dental was happy to take me in for an emergency and give me the quickest, cheapest, and most painless options. Everyone there is so supportive and so nice and they actually have me excited to get my tooth worked on. They know what they're doing and I fully trust them, even though I'm extremely terrified of dental work. They make you feel so welcome and comfortable and it honestly brought tears to my eyes how much care they put in for me. I wish I had read these reviews of Parkway Dental before I booked an appointment. I was impressed that when my veneer fell off over the weekend I could get an appointment confirmed on their website for Monday. My dentist that I love just retired and I was considering this group since I live in Lincoln. The way people have to wait is so disrespectful. When I came out a man had been waiting 90 minutes for his appointment. They called me to come in early and I had to wait 40 minutes. Two patients complained to the desk about the length of the wait and one left without an appointment. Why is this? Anyway they wanted to give me a "new patient exam and full mouth x-rays" but we know where this goes--to upselling crowns, root canals etc., so I refused and said I just wanted the veneer replaced. The dentist said the tooth was "damaged" and all he could do for me was a $2,000 crown. I left with my veneer and drove around the strip mall and found the Tooth Spa and what a difference. For $200 the caring dentist and helper fixed my tooth and replaced the veneer with no problem. I'll write a full review for them. It's a humble place, not fancy like Parkway, but up to date equipment. They take Medicaid which is a government funded program for low income people which I thought was a sign they weren't in it just to price gouge, upsell, and make money. read more

I accepted a reschedule but when I didn't hear back, after this experience I felt like I needed to book with a place that was more reliable or had better communications. I have multiple children to care for so it's difficult taking time off for a middle of the week appointment. My temporary cap came off my tooth (drove down to office because no one was answering the phone) they did not fit me in schedule to fix (after being told when it was getting put on that if it were to fall off that they would fix it). Parkway Dental is terrible!! They extracted my tooth and destroyed the two crowns on either side. They permanently damaged my tongue nerve and I now suffer with constant terrible pain for life. I am only able to chew on the other side of my mouth. All Dr Kim and Parkway Dental cared about was the money! They charged me three times on three following and different days. I took them to court and won a judgement against them for overcharging and stealing funds!!! read more

I had a horrible experience with the hygienist there. I left the office with the worst pain ever. The hygienist that I was assigned to was Sammy, I believe (the dark hair one). I told her that she was applying too much pressure. My teeth was very sensitive. She insisted that there was something wrong with me and that I didn't know how to handle pain. How do you expect to have repeat customers if you are inconsiderate of your patient's level of comfort. It seemed like you did not want to be there nor do you enjoy your job. As a result of the excruciating pain I suffered that day and lack of professionalism, your office lost business with my family. I would not recommend this dental office to anyone. read more

I have been a patient with PDG for 8+ years. HARRIS KHAN KHATTAK is the new owner of the facility since 11/08/22. I was his first patient, at that time there were no issues checking in, and they had no problem billing me $2,300+ On 5/10/23, I showed up 10 minutes early for my appointment. The Receptionist was not organized, asked that I call the insurance company to be "assigned" to the facility. Note: I had confirmed my appointment the day before, why didn't they get the information at that time? While on the phone for 10 minutes going round-n-round with the automated system (after she provided the wrong information), she demanded that I sign the computer pin pad. I said "Hold on a moment." because I was still on the roundabout phone call. I was never aggressive, threatening, or rude; just frustrated (who wouldn't be?). She immediately stood up and said "You are being disrespectful. You have to leave. I'm calling the police. You no longer have an appointment." (I was still on the phone, finally providing information to a live person.) Then found out that she had all the information anyway. The office manager & the dentist all came out and said. "You need to leave the office right now. The police are on the way." Receptionist's actions seemed very SHADY and a ridiculous display of over-reaction when I didn't sign the computer pin pad. Made me wonder what was really going on here. If I signed the computer pin pad, what would they get after they cancelled my appointment? For some odd reason, I was being HARASSED and also being FORCED UNDER DURESS to SIGN something without being informed what it was I was signing for. Also, my name, SSN & birthdate were requested. I was not comfortable about providing this private/confidential HIPAA information in the lobby because there was a male patient waiting in the chair near me. Horrible Customer Service that ruins the whole experience. There are so many dental offices, do not come to this place. I made 2 new patient appointments for my college age kids on Sept 30, 2022 to get their teeth cleaned while they are home from college during the holidays. Sye from the office made the appointments where my kids can get their teeth cleaned first before seeing the dentist. I've always thought you have to meet with the dentist first before doing any cleaning. But Sye assured me, it was ok to start w/the cleaning before ever seeing the dentist. When they called to confirm my kids' appointment, the lady told me we cannot do the cleaning before seeing the dentist. Fortunately, the lady was nice and was able to "fix" the appointment so that my kids can see the dentist AND THEN get their teeth cleaned. From that appointment ( I didn't go to their appointments with them BTW), the dentist recommended getting 1 of my college kid's tooth crowned because she chipped it. Went and got the crown done within 1 week. But after a week of "post crown" she was still in pain and had tooth sensitivity. So I called the office. The lady said she'll call me back after speaking with the dentist but the "lead nurse" thinks she will need a root canal! Then the office called me back to say the doctor wants to see my daughter as a "post crown" appt. The day before her "post crown" appt, I called the dentist to confirm if the appointment time was 1pm or 1:30pm. It's at this point, the office manager (Ashlynn) told me she cannot speak to me about my kid's information because my kid did not sign HIPAA to me! SO I TOLD THEM THEY VIOLATED HIPAA BECAUSE I SPOKE WITH THE DENTAL OFFICE RE: MY KID'S CROWN AND IN FACT, THE DENTAL OFFICE CALLED ME BACK TO MAKE THE APPOINTMENT FOR MY DAUGHTER! I told Ashlynn (she told me she was an office manager) I will report them for HIPAA violation. When I told her that she got belligerent and told me "if I take that action, my daughter may or may not have her appointment tomorrow". She threatened me with refusal of service. FYI, they CANNOT retaliate for reporting HIPAA violations. It's against the law. So when I went with my daughter for the "post crown" appointment, I was not allowed in with my daughter to speak with the dentist. Ashlynn told me I cannot go in because my daughter is getting her teeth x-rayed and that they'll call me in when the dentist is ready. I was never called in. My daughter did not take any x-ray. When I requested to see the dentist to ask more questions, she refused by saying the dentist is with another patient. Then Ashylnn, the office manager, started to give my daughter medical advice about doing a root canal and how the dentist can "drill through the crown and fill it with composite". My daughter was confused because the dentist never mentioned a root canal but only told her to see if pain and tooth sensitivity goes away with time. So do not take any medical advice from the office manager/front desk/nurse as they do not have a medical license. I think this place is a scam as they violate HIPAA and office manager gives out medical advice! STAY AWAY!!!!!! read more

I was very impressed with Dr Kim whose performance was beyond my expectation.He went through the procedure much faster than i expected which is something any patient ,having the dentists drill machine down his throat ,will appreciate.During the procedure the pain was minimal.So far the treatment looks very impressive. Jessica the assistant was just awesome.So was Anna the hygienist and Erica and Negin at the front desk who were just astounding. Erica and Negin made sure I did not abscond for the procedure by offering me additional discounts for my dental care. One great thing about Parkway Dental is they are not pushy and don't try to convince you that you need treatments you don't just to raise the bill. Dr. Keshitar has been my parents dentist for over a year. They are both elderly in their 80's and he saw a cash cow coming. Constantly had my mom in for dental work and strung her along. She got extremely infected tooth and was serious especially at her age and it was poorly managed. She spent lots of money there and I do not believe it was all necessary. Be ware. read more
