I called ahead of time to ask if I could get a refill of my prescription toothpaste, after already being a patient there. The receptionist confirmed with me over the phone that I won't need to make another appointment in order to pick up the refill and that I could stop by anytime. Oh My Gosh! Horrible experience and wasn't even in the dentist chair more than 7 minutes and the manager charged me $147.00. Here's an example...I had previously been to another A+ office and was treated very nicely by their staff. When I called those other offices they agreed would not be a fee; yet when I called to talk to the manager at Orchard Creek about being over charged for the amount of time seen, she stated "I don't care who you've seen in the past or talked to". I would suggest any senior living here to not go to this office for any dental needs I have since gone to Aspen was there well over 15 to 20 mins NEVER charged a fee for the initial consultation. Dr Flaviane Siedel/Petersen is the worst when it comes to considering the patients willingness & ability to afford (senior citizen) the dentistry's services she recommends. Her approach is to overwhelm a patient with her list of every conceivable issue she can find, regardless of how small the issue or how little urgency there is for it to be addressed. I was told on more than one occasion to have 2-wisdom teeth extracted, where an Oral Surgeon I went to for a 2nd opinion disagreed with the need to be extracted at this time. This office does not do extractions and are constantly referring me to more distant offices out of my area to perform this service that I have repeatedly told them I am not interested in doing. My refusal has since resulted in her having refused me any future services from this office for challenging her recommendations. I highly do not recommend this particular dentist. Dr Kim in the same office is fine for basic dental care. Dr Lee, visiting Periodontist, is ok, but is only available 1- Friday every 2-3 months. I called A+ dental care first thing in the morning because I had chipped my tooth the night prior, they were able to get me in within an hour of me calling. I will say I was a bit skeptical after reading the reviews, but I needed my tooth fixed ASAP. They were efficient, the staff was friendly and the doctor had my tooth fixed within 20 minutes after doing x-rays and assessments. They did not charge me an arm and a leg or pressure me into anything I did not need. I had a great experience. read more

Don't get Invisalign here, they will jack up your teeth with a hand drill instead of using the approved diamond paper. They couldn't even apologize or fix it but they know how to charge you $5k. The teeth are still in the same position. The staff is nice to take your money though! read more

They took the whole mouth x-ray without informing me that it was only covered every five yrs by the insurance , then went ahead charging the difference, they even said it was not necessary to forward the X-ray record from my previous dentist....... They tell you one thing on the phone with regards to charges but when you show up it's a different story. This has happened several times and when I ask for a quote for services, they seem to not want to provide it or tell you, "Your insurance covers that 100%.) Dr. Petersen has been my dentist for about 5 years now. I recommend her to everyone I can. She is by far the most competent dentist I have ever had (and I have had many). Her breadth of knowledge, confident personality and consistently painless procedures have made my dentist appointments something to look forward to. The pricing is significantly less than my previous dentist, and the helpful front desk associates have always been willing to work with my insurance as it has changed several times in the last few years. read more

The worst place to go! Beware tried to sell me multiple services I did not need. Was a client with a family of 6 for almost 10 years. Had dental implants placed at a cost of almost 30k broke off after not even 3 years. Dr. Peterson, most unethical professional I have ever encountered. She would not stand by any of her work , this was supposed to be a life time fix for my issues. She turned me away with no help, leftward with no front 4 teeth, would not even temp glue it in for me. I never had a altercation or a problem with the practice until it was time for them to back up the work they had done. Never go there. They are now under Investigations from the dental board, and for allegations of false charges to my insurance company. Worst place in town. read more

Started going here because they are local, but the services provided are not the best quality or the friendliest. I don't like jumping around from dentist to dentist so I stayed with them for several years. However, it got to the point that I didn't trust them to do provide good quality work. The front desk was not particularly friendly or congenial either. The whole office just had a very cold and unhappy feeling every visit. Would not recommend them! My experience caused me more harm to a painful bad tooth I had when I arrived They insisted on a cleaning and protocol I asked not to have at the visit because of a painful tooth/gums! When I left they referred me to have all 4 wisdom teeth pulled when only one had a slight crack Told me to sign up for their dental program to get a discount on the work needed because I had no insurance but then referred me to an oral surgeon! Do not trust this practice! My son spends his summers with me when he is out of school. While he was here it was time for his 6 month cleaning. His regular dentist is a close friend and I've used her for 20 plus years. His last visit to her, he got a perfect report. While at A+ we were told he had 4 cavities. Total bill $1,200 but most would be billed to insurance. I questioned this because of his previous dental reports, and the fact that he has sealants on his teeth. The Dentist told me the sealant had been damaged on one tooth in the back, and that is where one cavity was. He said the other three were between the teeth and very hard to see. He surmised that he could get all with his laser. Long story short, I suspected him to be full of crap and sent my son to our trusted Dentist. She said my son had zero cavities. Perfect teeth. And the sealant was perfectly intact. Needless to say I am very disappointed and will be reporting A+ to my insurance company now that I have evidence of attempted insurance fraud. I'm sure there must be goals and incentives pushing this medical professional to be unethical with those in his care. I hope he gets a conscious and starts his own honorable practice one day! read more

Unfortunately I feel the need to report my bad experience with this "A+ dental" or "Personalized Dental" company. I was given the impression that a treatment was covered by my insurance so I went in to the Roseville office on Coloma Way for the treatment. I was not told up-front that there would be any out-of-pocket cost and I was not given an estimate of treatment cost or a billing consultation in advance. [With my prior dentist they'd have a separate one-on-one billing consultation meeting with you in a low-pressure way in a private office before doing any treatment, which is a much more consumer-friendly business practice.] I was seated and treated and mid-way through my treatment while in the dental chair the billing person came in and said the treatment will cost you $375 and it's not covered by insurance and you need to sign this paper now. I was shocked. It was not presented as optional or take some time to think about it or call your wife and talk it over or sorry we should have told you all this before beginning treatment---instead just a high-pressured "you need to sign this paper". I felt like it was very coercive and unfair and I had no choice especially since they were already half-way through the treatment. I tend to be an easy-going even shy type of person especially with doctors and don't want to be rude but looking back I should have told them that's very unfair and I really hope you don't do that to your other customers and stormed out of there right then. They need to be much more fair and up-front about their costs of treatment and billing practices, telling people in advance what things will cost before starting treatment so people can make an informed decision about whether to treat or not. If I was told in advance that it was not covered by insurance and I'd have to pay $375 out of pocket I would not have had the treatment. read more
