I grew up in pasadena. I've been there a few times. I know that local elite like to say they go there to hang out. Food was a 6... with prices that high for the food its under a 5 (scale 1-10). The pasta was soggy, the scallop potatoes way too greasy. Salad was fine... soup good. Who can't do soup and salad. They still have Covid era dining taking up the parking lot. Parking is a mess. Was always special to eat at Parkway Grill when we lived in Pasadena. Now its a must visit when we are in town. After all of these years, finally tried the catfish. We were always a little intimidated by it. However, our waiter helped lead us through it. It was the best fish ever! read more

This place doesn't need reviews because they have a solid clientele of regulars who will keep it in business, plus their word of mouth. Although I am not a regular, I come a few times a year and I send people there all the time via gift cards or word of mouth. It really delivers superb service and quality food. Today the bone marrow was exquisite. Beet salad was great. Drinks were top notch. Pork loin was phenomenal. They make the best shoestring fries in town!!! Sadly my ribeye was cooked medium instead of medium rare, but they were very apologetic and made up for it when I brought it up. They would have redone it had I asked earlier but honestly it was still pretty forgiving and tasty, and I was so hungry that I chose not to wait for another one so I ate as much as I could until my jaws got tired of chewing, the chef needs to be more on the ball, but nobody is perfect and for me it's all about the response you get as a customer that really matters. By far, my favorite restaurant in LA. I starting coming here a few years back to celebrate my birthday. Now it has become a tradition for my dad and I every year, without exception. My dad was visiting this past weekend and we decided to introduce his girlfriend to Parkway Grill. My son was also with us. Our server was Ron, our favorite for the past 10 years. He greeted us with a friendly smile and brought out a complimentary appetizer of fresh prosciutto, buratta cheese, and butter toasted bread. My son and I shared the oysters which were delicious as always. I let Ron choose my main course, as I was so indecisive, because everything sounded so good. What showed up was a bone in ribeye steak, a side of mashed potatoes with a sauce that complimented both. Superb. We finished the night with cappuccinos, a strawberry crepe with homemade vanilla ice cream, and chocolate lava cake. The Parkway Grill provides quality service starting with the reservationist, to the host, the wait staff and the servers. All top notch professionals. It's always a treat for me. read more

The staff was incredible and answered all our questions about the menu. We came here for Easter lunch as a family of 5, valet parking. Entrees: SHRIMP LINGUINE [5 stars] My shrimp was a little tough but the pasta and sauce with arugula was perfection! Great plate DOUBLE CUT COLORADO LAMB CHOPS [5 stars] My husband ordered this and I tried a piece and thought it just melt in your mouth delicious! Perfect amount of fat. Decided not to any of the sauces onto the meat. Didn't want to ruin a good piece of a meat with a sauce. That was a good choice. Wow this place is a joke we had a reservation for our birthday party. we got there was very cold and we asked for heaters they said no sorry we can't have more heater.After we saw that the tables behind us have 3 heaters and we have 10 people 2 tables with one heater. we were so cold. i can't believe you charged us 1000$ and you don't care about you costomer don't recommend this place management don't care costomer. We ordered bread basket, crab cakes for appetizers. For the main course, my husband ordered cat fish, and I ordered lamb chops by the waitress' recommendation. We loved crab cakes. They were delicious. My husband always enjoys the catfish. But my lamb chops were just okay. I have had much better lamb chops elsewhere, and we found lamb dish was like $75!! We had an amazing dinner last night which was highlighted by the amazing scallops. Omar our server provided attentive and informative service during our wonderful dinner. It all started out with having a perfect location by the fireplace. Every detail provided at this wonderful establishment all the utensils and glassware were spotless! We had a group of 8 to celebrate our friend's Birthday at Parkway Grill. This is an upscale restaurant and servers were very attentive. We were seated right away when our group arrived, and for a Thursday night, it was already pretty busy at 6:30. We brought 3 bottles of our favorite vintage wines and asked to have them decanted and our server opened them up to breathe while we ordered appetizers and started drinking a chilled white blend. A bread basket and butter was brought out as we drank our wine and were deciding what to order. It did take quite awhile to get our order, but i guess with a party of 8, it takes a bit of timing to be able to get all of us served at the same time. I ordered the 16oz boneless ribeye with peppercorn sauce on the side and it was cooked medium rare perfect! The sauce tasted amazing with the steak. My wife had the Chilean sea bass which she enjoyed. A complementary Napoleon dessert was brought out at the end of our dinner that was just a perfect finish! During our visit the Parkway Grill was beautifully decorated for Christmas with garlands and lights hanging from the rafters. Overall, we enjoyed our meal here; however, there were some issues that came up that probably had more to do with it being the holiday season and our group being one of the larger ones that night. Drinks were a bit slow and our server forgot one, but was quickly able to rectify it. The same thing happened with entrees, but this time our server caught it before all the entrees were brought out. We shared the tuna tartare and the tiger shrimp corndogs. We thought, corndogs were an odd thing to have on the menu at such a fancy place, but honestly it was one of the best surprises and we all really enjoyed that starter. We shared salads too. The portion was smaller than expected. We were told it was a dinner entrée, thus why we shared it, but we could have probably ordered one each. For my entrée I had the petite filet (about 6 or 7 oz.). The regular filet is closer to 10 oz. It was good and perfectly cooked medium. We celebrated 2 special occasions at Parkway last night (9/22). The food, service and atmosphere were perfect. Our party enjoyed the following: oysters from Massachusetts, tuna tartare, Seabass, asparagus, lobster risotto, a ribeye fillet, and the ultimate and best crème brûlée I have ever had. The food was simply Devine. Our young Latino waiter was charming and professional. The wait staff was spot on! And the art by local pasadena artist Kenton Nelson was an added pleasure! I always look forward to the parkway grill w their attentive service and great ambiance. This last time it looked like they were trying to shove people in every corner. We felt like our table was in the middle of a walkway. The food was very mediocre for such a high price tag. The oysters were tasteless again this time and the fish was also dry again. My husband ordered from here for our 1st anniversary. The curbside pick up was so easy and fast. The host, Sean was extremely friendly and nice. He greeted us when we pulled up and brought us our order. We ordered the sea bass (with risotto and sautéed green beans), burrata pizza, appetizer prawns, a salad, bread pudding and a bottle of old fashioned. Everything was really good.
