Absolutely terrible service. Waited over 30 minutes for our iced lattes, I'm actively still waiting. We asked to just cancel them at this point and get a refund and now they are saying we have to wait for the manager ("we can't do that") who is not onsite and they are not willing to call (because he "doesn't answer his phone") or help with anything ("we don't know when he will be here"). People who came after us got their coffees/lattes and the employee making the coffee couldn't prioritize our lattes. There is another patron who is having the same issue and getting the same response. The employees look miserable, don't make eye contact, and barely communicate in a way that is understandable. Finally tried this place today and I'm very glad I did. The single origin coffee did not let down. I like a dark roast and it was indeed that. I had their breakfast tacos with bacon which was very tasty as well. Gonna grab 12 mixed donuts for the ride back to Dallas. Will be back. read more

It's pricey! I get the idea of it but I'm not impressed maybe there needs to be a filling just a little bit of the flavor you want on top is not enough. This is not your typical donut it's more of airy donut like a croissant donut. The store is cute but I'm not crazy about the layout you have to walk further in to pay. When it's packed to walk back out the same way past a line of people. It should have been flipped around. The staff is nice they were quick and efficient. Really good donuts, they are flaky and almost like they use croissant dough and shape into donuts then they add fun toppings. They are also HUGE Coffee is basic starbucks quality. Just come here for donuts and thats it. Place also seems to be really understaffed because every time I come its only one person working. read more

For donut enthusiasts, this place is a must try. It leans more towards the pricier side of donuts in Houston, but you do get what you pay for. The different styles and flavors are fantastic. I haven't tried a single donut from here that I didn't like. Good atmosphere, and the placement right near nasa is decent, it's not difficult to get in. Atmosphere is nice but definitely overpriced for what it is. I wouldn't market these as donuts either- the consistency is more like a croissant. I got the French toast donut and it was light and fluffy. Not bad. The chorizo tacos were NOT it. The tortillas were stale and there was barely any chorizo. Nothing tasted fresh from the cabinet we did order a sausage biscuit and that was definitely the best thing we got. We originally came just before opening staring longingly at the windows of the delicious layered donuts to come and were finally able to come back and try again and they were definitely worth the wait! We had the Lemon Bar (mom) and the Turtle Cheesecake (myself). I did not share and I didn't ask mom too either. However, she ooohed and yummed over her selection while I relished every bite of mine, tearing it apart and eating it like a little kid. I was in heaven. My only complaint is they are not fat/calorie/sugar/guilt free so I could have a dozen... or more. The ambiance was also clever, unexpected, and inviting. I feel like if this was 20 years ago I totally could have overtaken a corner booth with some coffee and a few donuts studying for exams. A nice touch includes the ability to charge your devices so everyone is happy! I would have given an additional star; however, there were still 3 hours until closing and the staff were already turning the chairs over the tables as if they were closing. This made me feel rushed to leave and no longer welcomed. Overall though, very nice visit and I shall return to try more fantastic treats!! read more

Our office tried double chocolate, coconut cream, strawberry shortcake, maple pecan, churro, raspberry pistacio and blueberry, all FANTASTIC! The croissant dough is buttery, flaky, super legit! Sooooo much better than regular donuts. Don't waste your time and tastebuds on Shipleys or Dunkin, so blah! They also have amazing coffee and breakfast sammies too! I would give 4.5 stars because my expectations were not really met by the website. I ordered 30 minutes ahead online through Google for pickup - 6 donuts and one dog donut. When I arrived, the order was never taken off the machine by the staff and they said the dog donuts never show up on online orders anyway. However, the staff were quick to fill the order, so not a real problem with the store - just seemed to be the Google app ordering process. Also, very pricey if you are thinking this a quick in & out donut store like Shipley's to take the kids before school. That being said - this is a culinary experience and the food is freaking amazing! I think it is Totally worth making a trip for this special gastric experience and I'm so glad we have one south of Houston now. The dough is a cross between a light croissant and light cake with fillings that are fresh and amazing and they are really big, so I think they are worth the money. The store was very clean and the staff was very nice and customer friendly. They have specialty coffees, upscale avocado toast and blinged out breakfast sandwiches, so there are salty and sweet delights for everyone in the family to be satisfied. Great place for brunch or breakfast for dinner. I took them home and we paired them with amazing craft beers for a fantastic dessert experience! The dog loved her treat too :-) read more

Can't really comment on the doughnuts. They looked really great in the case, but I never got one. My family had limited time to stop in and get a box of doughnuts to go. There were 6-8 other customers in the shop and 6+ staff. In 15 minutes I didn't even have a chance to make an order. None of the Customers in front of me had big orders. Nothing required cooking (just doughnuts from the case). My observations: 1) When Customers walk in to Parlor, there's nothing to direct them. Order doughnuts HERE. Order coffee HERE. Good restaurants/coffee shops make it simple for both customers and staff (Starbucks/Chipotle/Torchy's/etc.). Big signs explain the menu while you get in a well marked line Even a few hand written signs (marker on copy paper taped up - CHEAP) would make things alot better. If the staff isa creative bunch...give them free reign to make the signs awesome/decorative. 2) While the lack of structure makes the place slow and chaotic (even with a handful of Customers), that could easily be overcome with crisp direction and supervision. If Parlor hired one Shift Leader from Chick-Fil-A across the parking lot (and gave them autonomy to make decisiosn) Parlor would be sorted out in a couple days. Doughnuts look great. I'll be trying again when I have more time and will update! read more

The workers were very helpful and nice! But, unfortunately, if you're looking for a good vegan desert/donut, this isn't the place. I specifically went here because we saw they had vegan options and their pictures look delicious. Unfortunately the vegan donuts are totally different than the ones in the photos. (I had expected just a vegan version of those in the pictures.) You can order any of the flavors vegan, but what it is is a not-so-great small vegan donut with a flavored glaze. I feel bad saying that, but just want other vegan-food-seekers know what to expect. read more

Donuts are good, but customer service is not. As I've seen mentioned in other reviews, you walk in and no one addresses you. You just stand there. I had to ask where I'm supposed to order. One employee couldn't hear me with her air pod in her ear. When there are people in front of you, even if their orders are simple, it's going to take a long time when all they're doing is putting donuts in a box. This makes for a disappointing experience when you consider the premium price you're paying for Parlor's product. As another review said, hire a shift leader from CFA across the street to improve the workflow and customer service here! read more

Saw an open sign around 2 pm on Monday after Beryl settled down. The sweet family of workers let me in and told me I could purchase day old quickly or they would small batch dip a custom order. I told them it was my brother's birthday and I was looking for something sweet since nothing was open due to the hurricane. They gave me a lot of favorites, brewed up dirty chai tea, and I'm very impressed! The line grew quickly and they continued to feed hungry customers despite a skeleton staff, drip coffee not working, wet floors from the storm, and slow computers. Omg... the breakfast sandwich is so delicious. Had the bacon,egg, and cheese on a buiscut, and it was so yummy I could have had 2 with the Mayan mocha superb! The donuts are so delicious as well, and the variety is outstanding. The staff is friendly. The only thing that is a fix and to say the organization of the line is not so good.
