We get pizza from many different places, and Parma is our favorite by far! We only get plain cheese, so I can't speak for toppings, but even my picky 6 year old, who won't eat any other pizza, loves Parma's pizza. I have never reviewed a business before, but I had to this time. Last night I had company and we decided to get take out. I used to order from Parma weekly but due to an attempt to eat better I haven't in a couple of months. I don't know what happened but I was incredibly embarrassed that I recommended them! This place has fallen off the planet to me. Delivery took an hour and a half, the delivery guy calls me an hour and 15 minutes after my order was placed, he says he can't read my address and wants directions, then he says never mind I will use my gps, when he arrives I feel like I'm being pranked! The sandwiches are flat as pancakes and burnt! The chicken tender dinner is an order of cheese fries! And get this, the driver says " here is your receipt you can take it back yourself! So I then have to drive the 5 minutes to Parma for a very insulting experience. 1. Two girls mopping the floor, they don't stop, I make my way around them and I'm waiting for the manager, they are literally mopping around my shoes now! I say would you like me to stand somewhere else? One says " oh it's not that slippery" 2. The manager throws the food directly in the trash and is yelling at the teenager who put it in the bag. I am a firm believer that employees should not be yelled at and asked "do you know how to read English" 3. The owner. This guy. Wow. So he gives me my freshly cooked food and receipt, I look at the receipt and I politely say, I'm still paying for this mistake? So then he begins yelling at me and waving his hands all around saying how he already lost money on the food he threw away and that as a business owner he can't afford this. I tell him that I am a resonable woman and don't appreciate his yellIng or his gestures, he says that's just how I talk and continues his rant. His employees are all visibly intimidated by him and I see why. 4. At this point I'm ready to get out of there, so I compromise, I say at least refund the dilivery fee because my order was never delivered. He says fine and you can have 20% off your next order. He then storms off giving me no refund or documentation of 20% off. 5. I left with food that tasted good, a headache and the desire to never eat there again. I will spend a little more somewhere else in order to put money into a business that doesn't yell at me for employee errors. read more

Parma Pizza used to be in that little strip called Coventry Square at the mall of the same name. But like a good many other businesses there, they've either gone belly-up or, like this one, moved to a better location. While they're doing fine in Sanatoga, the pizza shop that took their place didn't stay long. Yup, they're gone. Already. As for Parma, no, I wouldn't drive from Limerick to Sanatoga just for pizza. But if I'm going to K-mart, then I might stop in while I'm there. I don't eat pizza as often as I used to, but I'll have to try it some time. I go there for their chicken steak sandwiches. Just the right size and not too greasy. Their fries are about average. Most of the other reviewers like the service, and I do say Parma will do more than most to make you feel appreciated. I went there on a late Saturday afternoon, and I'm happy to report they had a college football game on. So sometimes the TV is indeed tuned to another channel besides CBS or Fox--when sports fans want to be entertained, I guess. The prices are reasonable; some charge more, some less. They don't have an "upscale" dining room like some pizzerias, and sometimes that's a good thing. You can come as you are and they encourage that. What's not to like? read more

We recently phoned in an order. The man taking orders was extremely rude and unprofessional. When he asked me what I wanted and I asked those in the room to confirm, he snapped "Hold!" and then when came back said "Do you know what you want yet?" Sorry to invonvenience him to wait the 10/10ths of a second. I recommend spending consumer dollars at a professional establishment who does not treat customers like garbage IN THE MIDDLE OF A RECESSION. I've never been disappointed by anything I have eaten at Parma! I love everything from their stuffed pizzas, to paninis, to salads, I mean I could go on! Parma is definitely your local pizza spot. I have never seen an adult working there but I have also never had a bad experience either. Pizza is good wings are great. Stromboli is awesome and they some of the best marinara around. Great place when you want a basic pizza delivered. They can be a bit inconsistent with their toppings and such. Order a pizza with onions sometimes they come chopped sometimes sliced and grilled. Order bacon pizza sometimes it burned sometimes it tiny sometimes it's bigger pieces. I'm sure it depends on the cook on duty. Food is always pretty good though. read more

I ordered my food and when I went to pay they said the credit card phone line was down and they could only accept cash. I asked if we could eat and then maybe by the time we were done the phone line would be working. She said that the line was down since 10 am that morning (it was now 1 pm). The bill was about $20 and we could only scrounge up $16 in cash so I had to drive to wawa get 4 more bucks and return. Why wouldn't they let people know prior to ordering that they couldn't take credit? Oh well, that was my last time there. read more

Hands down best pizza place in the area in my opinion. The service is amazing and the employees are extremely welcoming. One girl even remembered what I ordered from two days prior! I've just recently been coming here for the past three days straight as I started working close by. Each day I tried something different and each individual time I was very impressed. Only downside of the whole experience so far is that when I ordered two slices of pizza, the first one's bottom was a little too brittle and broke apart when I tried to fold it over. However the pizza was scrum-diddly-umptious, and although it feel apart it gave me a while new perspective on eating pizza. I could honestly come here over and over and not get sick of it due to their extensive menu, superb food, and inviting persona. read more

The food is good, but customer service is below par. We had an bad experience three years ago and stopped ordering from them. Recently we decided to give them another go, but got burned again on our third order. They missed giving us one of the pizzas, even though we paid for it. When we called to explain what happened, we were given the option to come back and get it. That's it. And an answer of "We don't give refunds." No apology, no offer of coupons for next time, no offer of delivering it. We ordered out because we were too busy that night to cook. We didn't have time for a twenty minute round trip to go get a pizza they neglected to give us. I ordered dinner from Parma and they said it would take an hour and 90 mins later the food shows up. The food is ok, but it is convenient as it is close to where we live. Even though the food was 30 mins late, I still gave a $4 tip. Interesting enough the charge shows up a couple days later with an $8 dollar tip. it looks like the delivery person decided to increase their tip even though the service was poor. The last great point was the food was warm and not hot as one would expect when they live less than 5 mins from the restaurant. I will NEVER order food from Parma again. The pleasant young lady verified my delivery address was within their delivery circle, and took my order,said it would be 45-60 minutes. Didn't surprise me, it's a Friday night!. Me and my husband order from Parma here and there while we're in the area sometimes, but our last time coming in we witnessed something very foul. Behind the counter the owner (without any concern!) was saying the most degrading comments to his employees as if the customers can't hear him! It was a busy night which we get but to dehumanize your workers in front of EVERYONE in the shop is unjustified. While we were waiting we were talking to another couple and even they said that they felt uncomfortable and that they would not be coming back anytime soon. Seems like they had the right idea after that night. And from the looks of it, it doesn't seem like his actions and snide comments are rare; sadly more like an every night thing seeing how unsensitized he was by his own comments. Just ordered a Grilled Chicken Salad & Eggplant Fries.. both terrible. The "salad" was mostly huge chunks of lettuce, including the heart. Due to a 40 minute late delivery on Monday, I had requested they comp some of the expense. Was told to call the owner's wife, Lynn. Spoke to her on Monday afternoon and was told she would amend the credit card charge amount, snap a photo of it and email it to me by end of day. Come end of day Tuesday, still nothing. I called and spoke to her and she said she would again email it to me...still nothing. I personally stop in to pick this up and was told by the owner, "oh yeah, I have it, just been really busy today". Meanwhile, wifey is chilling in the booth on her cell, a delivery guy chilling in another booth waiting and only 2 people there eating. Hmmmm, busy, huh??? He proceeds to throw the receipts on the table with a mere, "here you go". Wow, that's how you do business and treat your customers?! Clearly, they were at fault and just pissed that I asked for a reduction in the charge and pissed again that I showed up in person to pick it up. That's how you do business!!! Customer service sucks!!!!! Not to mention I ordered food for delivery at 7:45 and we never received our food. I called at 9:00 only for them not to answer. So I called "Parma Pizza" back the following day to find out what happened to my families delivery. The "manager" Lynn said she was very aware of the situation but bc I had went to Facebook and "bashed" them there was nothing that they could do. I just wanted to make them aware of their mistakes, prejudice and loss of customer. Even when I informed her that when the order was taken it sounded as if they were never going to come anyway. When I first moved to this area I googled places to eat from and I see they had delivery robberies before but I never thought I would be stereotyped in the same category. Every Friday we order pizza from them but I pick it up. This particular situation we called for delivery and didn't receive it. So yes I'm pissed, and had to go somewhere to pick up food a day after having surgery. I will NEVER EVER RETURN business to this place again and that's a promise! The last time I was in to pick up our food I was left with the bad taste in my mouth. The cashier when I handed her my money she looked as if she didn't want to take my money. When she went to hand it back she attempted to put it on the counter. I intercepted and put my hand under it before she could place it down. Confirmation that she didn't want to take the money out of my hand. Customer service rule #1. If I hand you something do the same. I just moved to this area a few months ago and since I've had friends and family on different occasions order from this place and is always very good. The pizza has not let me down, I've also ordered chicken sandwiches and buffalo chicken cheesesteak which were all very good. They do have a high school staff there almost always but they always are nice and do their job so I don't have a problem with that. The only thing I could say is that I learned to always pick up later than what they tell me cause multiple times I came at the time specified and still had to wait, but as long as I was happy with the food I let it slide. There was only one time I was not happy with food: I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Salad, and received just a pile of iceberg lettuce with two very thin and not meaty chicken tenders on top with a side cup of buffalo sauce and blue cheese. The correct way to make this is first of all more chicken that's more than 1/4 inch thick, chopped up, and the salad should have tomatoes, carrots, red onion, cucumber, you know.. salad type things. Other than that I will continue to go here as a go-to for pizza, steaks, hoagie, etc. Who ever teaches them how to cook knows how to make things right. read more

Okay, I have now lived In Pottstown 5 years and I really wanted Parma to be my go to pizza place...for my favorite...large plain pizza. I really wanted it to work out, but its just not so. The pizza quality is there, it is solid and yummy (see my previous review), and they even started delivery service recently. However, I am basing my experience on strictly service and value. So my latest experience included ordering a pizza on a Wednesday during their "beat the clock" promotion. Call between 5 and 9 and get the pizza for the price at the time you called in and ordered it. Okay, good deal, right? Wrong. First, I called in the pie order at 6:25, cool -... A large pie for $6.20! But not so much. As my story unfolds, I then get an offer to meet a friend for dinner elsewhere (unsuspected) at 6:30. I immediately call Parma back to see if my pizza order can be cancelled. (or perhaps another order had been called in for the same, you get it) . "Sorry, your pizza is already in the oven". Okay. So first of all, they told me 30 minutes for the pick up. Now I call 5 min later and it's already been made And in the oven? Ok. So I want to be fair. So I say, ok, no worries, I'll take the pizza and eat it another night. So I go in at 7:25 to pick up my $6.25 pizza, but it wasn't 6.25.... I am told it was my responsibility to tell them The time I called when I was placing the order to get the beat the clock time price. What? So it is my responsibility to call it n AND tell them upon ordering the current time to get the deal price? Sorry folks, that is terrible customer service and your beat the clock deal is a scam...nobody mentioned anything to be upon calling in my order about your fine print, so I ended up paying over7.50 for the pie anyway. Normally I I would not mind and even consider 7.50 a deal for a pizza, however, based on my already poor experience with trying to cancel the order almost immediately after ordering really has me in a not-so-happy mood about this place's customer service and (lack of) loyalty lock. Being a professional in the hospitality industry perhaps I am a bit critical, but unfortunately this final experience has me convinced this is not the pizza place for me. I just ordered a chicken bacon ranch pizza and a bunch of other food with the total being about fifty dollars. when the pizza arrived i found chunks of tomato in it. Now I dont like tomatoes so i called parma back and told them about the problem. On the menu there is no listing for the type of pizza i ordered so i assumed that like every other pizza shop in the world that i would be gettting what i ordered. So when i talked to the person at parma pizza they pretty much told me that i should just pick the tomatoes out. Unbelievable! The customer service is horrible. Anytime a customer has a problem the shop should do whatever they can to fix the problem. I was told several times that they are not going to just send another pizza to me because then they would be out the cost of a pie. I order out alot and now Parma pizza will not longer be getting any of my money. I expected better from this place and I am sorely dissappointed. read more

I will never eat from here again! This last experience was it for me. We walked in for take out and immediately was overwhelmed with a grease haze that was stuck in my hair for hours. While we were ordering our food, there was a lady that cut us off complaining about her fries sitting out getting cold while the rest of the order was being cooked. I had a bad taste in my mouth, but thought maybe that lady was just a complainer. We left to go get cash because they charge a fee for credit cards. When we got back we noticed that our fries were also sitting on the counter and asked if we could get hot ones. We were told no, that they would still be warm. Then our sandwiches came out, they messed up the order and took the meat off the rolls and put it on another bread and had to put it back in the oven. Meanwhile out fries were still sitting on the counter getting cold. The young kids that work there refused to give us new ones even though they messed up our order. If it wasn't for my husband feeling awkward about walking out, that's exactly what I would've done. These kids that work here are rude, and don't care about good service. The sandwich that they tried to fix wasnt fixed right, couldnt even eat it, and fries were feeezing cold! They will never get my business again!!! read more

We order pizza once each week for the family (usually a Friday tradition).We moved here a few months ago and Parma is now our closest pizza place. The pizza is ok. Owner was pretty rude when we ordered and found that the website prices are wrong. That was AFTER his employee took 19 minutes (yes nineteen) to even take our order because she kept placing us on hold the whole time. He didnt care. Apparently to him the 8 bucks extra revenue was worth losing another $20 on that same order when I stripped down the extras - and losing around 48-49 orders at around $40 bucks per order all over 8 bucks? MATH. I had to be nice about it because - well youre nice to people who touch your food - period. I was dead set on never ordering again - pizza and wings arent hard to find and after a rough day who needs tude from the pizza man? The delivery guy was very nice though and he tried to make things right - gave us a $5 certificate. fair enough. Would've been easier to remember who the customer is the first time though and just be nice and think "bigger picture" on the first call. but - everyone has a bad day I guess. I work at the power plant and we were having a special pizza dinner for our guys so I thought I would throw some business to one of the local pizza places - Parma Pizza. I ordered 16 large pizzas (8 with pepperoni), 2 large Italian hoagies, and 12 2 liter bottles of soda to be delivered. Other departments in the company orders from this place so that is another reason I thought I would give it a try. I paid with a credit card over the phone so I didn't know what the exact charges were until I actually got the receipt. They charged me for the paper plates, cups and napkins (if you ate in the restaurant you would get them for free). I was told this was a catering charge. I was charged $1.00 for delivery. Really ?????? They also charged me a 3% fee for paying with a credit card. Needless to say, this will be the last time we order pizzas from them. With the volume of business that is given to them they should appreciate us coming to them. read more
