Pizza shops like this are a dime a dozen. All offer a similar product, the food passes but rarely stands out, & they're always changing ownership. Which is why small distinguishing details matter. Amore has some pluses over the competition- they use pieces of chicken (not chicken steak) for the Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza, are willing to do 1/2 & 1/2 on specialty pizzas, & use a generous amount of cheese in the Italian Calzone. What's disappointing- the lack of taste in the pizza & sandwiches (like they're not using salt). Pizza sauce was bland & sweet, which made the Hawaiian Pizza & Meatball Parm Sandwich a bit flavorless. Toasted Garlic Cheesesteak- nice roll, good chopped onions, but season the meat please! And swap the mozzarella for more American or provolone (stringy pizza cheese just doesn't work well). We've now had 3 not great experiences. We've frequently gotten theit Stromboli special. This last time they were not cooked near enough, hardly any meat or cheese and no sauce inside despite specifically asking. With 2 it was barely enough for our family and we've always had a ton of leftovers. Another time a pasta with sausage meal came without sausage and I called and they said they'd credit my card, nope. Also specifically called to order a pizza to avoid the service and credit card fees yet somehow paying with cash I still paid same price as I would've online that included the fees. read more

I've thoroughly enjoyer every food item I've tried here. I order the pizzas extra crispy and they're always spot-on. Never burnt, always the right amount of crunch. The wings and hoagies are excellent if you're not quite feeling like a pie. But the true all-stars here are the Stromboli's. The Italian and the Chicken-Bacon are always a popular choice at home or at work functions, and leftover never last long. Be prepared that the larges are exactly that, so you might not need order multiples. The service is always friendly and orders are always prompt and accurate. This is one of our most consistent spots as locals in the area. We end up grabbing takeout from here in some form or another just about every week. It's simply great food, done quickly, at a great price. They'll make any customizations you want, and I've never had anything but the friendliest service! Note: they've got great specials with lower pricing on certain menu items--Friday is Stromboli night in our house because of this! All in all: never had a bad meal out of the 30+ times we've eaten here. Never has our takeout order taken more than half an hour. Can't beat it! read more

First off, I've lived here 24 years and been to many restaurants that have been there and went out of business (Boardwalk Pizza was the BEST with the arcades for the kids, etc...)Not sure why it took us so long to try Amore, but am quite happy someone referred us here. Staff is usually always friendly, food is consistent, and great menu. Their strombolis and pizzas are AMAZING!!! Highly recommend to everyone. And, they have terrific specials every week!!!! This location has new owners from north Jersey. The pizza is superb. They offer everything from hand-tossed cheese pizza to Sicilian, and everything in between. The menu includes calzone, stromboli, sandwiches, burgers, panini sandwiches, hoagies, wraps, baked ziti, veal parmigiana, chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana, lobster ravioli, several shrimp dishes, chicken dishes and veal dishes (including picatta). The flavor is definitely north Jersey/New York. They offer patrons garlic knots (a real treat for garlic lovers), currently gratis with order. Free local delivery. The customer service here is very poor. The girl who helped my daughter check out was very sarcastic and rude. Now the 2 things she purchased was a 50/50. One was ok and the other was pretty good, it was just pasta salad so I don't think you can go wrong there. Now since we are spending OUR hard earned money here, i just can't believe the audacity of the worker to get smart for no reason other then we forgot our order number. We called in for just one pie. We were told it would be ready in 15 minuets. We had to wait the last time, so we showed up in 20 minutes. No one else was in the parking lot. We called when we arrived like we had been told. We waited an additional 15 minutes in the parking lot. After watching others come and go, we called again. 3 minutes later, a guy came out with our pie. I asked if they were busy and just got a grunt in reply. No "sorry you had to wait" or any acknowledgement that they were 20 minutes later than promised. Just a grunt. And as you would guess, the pie was just barley warm. This has been our go-to place for pizza. Looks like we need to try somewhere else. How do they not understand that part of a restaurant's quality is it's food, but even the best food (and theirs is just "OK") can't make up for poor service? read more

This place has great food. Until today, everything was great. Cheese steak, Pizza steak, zep (hoagie no lettuce), wings, wraps and had their Stromboli 3 times. Today was the 4th. The first time we went there, we ended up going two more times that same week. However, tonight I ordered an Italian Stromboli sans pepperoni but with sweet peppers and sauce in it. This is not the first time we have ordered our Strom with sauce. It has always been perfect. Can't stand a dry Stromboli. Got it home and found out after cutting the ends off there was no sauce. The ends are the best part of a Stomboli with sauce, it holds the sauce in. Cut it in half and there was sauce, some, in the middle. Called them and the girl said she watched them put the sauce in. Well, I took it back and showed them that the sauce was minimal at best. Now I will say that since we did not get the pepperoni, they put more Genoa Salami in it...Actually, that made the end I ate too overwhelming. Would have been happier if they gave me the Sweet Peppers in exchange for the Pepperoni. They offered sauce on the side while I was there after returning the Strom. Sauce on the side is not the same as the sauce baked into the Strom. I left it there, told them it was a shame for their food is really great and I recommend it. However...be VERY SURE to specify what you want. For me, the poor excuse on the phone that "I watched them put sauce in it" made me feel as if I was lying. I took it back and I will not go back just because of that. The customer is always right and this was the 4th Strom from there and it was dry. I give four stars, their food is good, in fact more than good, it is great. Good Italian food, and I am Italian. I just don't like being made to feel as if I am lying. read more

We ordered from Amor'e for the first time last night and I'm glad we did. We didn't feel like going out so we used their online ordering form and had it delivered. The online form was easy to use and they gave us an hour delivery window. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with pickles/sweet and hot peppers and mustard. It wouldn't let me order fries without picking a dipping sauce so I ordered it with ketchup (there were a variety of sauces). My husband ordered a pizza and fries. We also ordered the carrot cake and chocolate cake. They called right away to let us know they were out of carrot cake - so we got another chocolate. They delivered in 20 minutes- it was the fastest delivery we ever ordered. And the food was amazing - probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is I ordered my fries well done and they didn't look any different from my husbands regular fries. And the chocolate cake was divine- and very large.
