After a few years with Parrish I must give them a thumbs down (and a divorce) on the basis of predatory and unjustifiably high charges. A service call was to replace a broken toilet flush valve. This is a simple repair which I would normally do myself but did not because the part failure was related to an insurance claim. Part cost is $7.48 (Home Depot) and takes about 10 minutes labor. Going rate for this repair in NOVA (on the high side) is up to $150. Parrish Services charged $382.00!!! Cost for repair was not quoted prior to completion and Parrish Services refused to adjust fee upon receipt of my complaint. Goodbye, my friends. read more

Called Parrish for an estimate to replace a kitchen faucet. They were not able to give me an estimate but were quick to notify me that my plumbing contract expired in March. I scheduled for a plumber to come out. I had already disconnect all water lines and the sprayer. The only thing connected was the main drain nut. I also had already purchased a new faucet. The plumber's quote for the work was $468 but if I renewed my plumbing plan it would only be $238. I told him no way as that price was ridiculous and I was not renewing the plumbing plan. I still had to pay the $106 service fee for the less than 2 minutes he was in my house. I will not be using them again. read more

Our experience left us wondering whether the technician was more interested in increasing the charges or fixing our heater. I used Parrish for years. They have become as unscrupulous as Jiffy Lube trying to sell uneccesary repairs. I was told i need a major change to my hvac because my air supply pipe runs next to "combustibles". Refrigerant tubing is not combustible. The gas inlet is far away from the warm air supply exiting the unit. They charged $212 to tell me that my p trap sensor hadbecome disconnected hence my a/c shut off. read more

My experience with Parrish Services was quite different than all the other reviewers. They were called to service our A/C after another company failed to fix it. The Parrish technician took the time, in extreme heat, to properly situate a drain pipe in the attic. The previous company (United Air Temp) had regularly serviced the unit and never found the problem. Parrish sent another technician to replace a capacitor, he showed up on time, was informative and friendly and fixed the problem. The technician mentioned that a high efficiency unit would be better---but didn't push. Parrish didn't lie to us like United Air Temp. United stated that if we didn't have regular maintenance on our units, our Home Warranty would be invalidated. A total lie! We've asked our Home Warranty company to only send Parrish Services to our house. read more

HMS Home Warranty referred Parrish to me and I received a call within 24hrs of them being notified by the warranty company. The next day I had a technician who did call me 30 mins. before his arrival and did arrive within the 2-6PM time frame I agreed to. He quickly evaluated my situation and the next day a second technician replaced my water heater within an hour (who also arrived on time but did not call me before he arrived). The installation and disposal was very well done with one minor issue. The technician disabled my heater (which is gas powered) somehow to install the water heater (which I realized this weekend). No big deal, I called Parrish and they are sending the same technician out this afternoon to check out what happened. I anticipate no issues. Not a bad experience thus far. -The technician (Brandon) that installed my water heater just called me to let me know they will send a furnace specialist out to check on the situation. He said he would call the main office personally to make sure they get someone out. read more

Do not be fooled, these are very nice, friendly people who are either incompetent or willfully neglectful. I am currently working with a lawyer to put together a civil suit to try to make up some of the over $10k wasted on a central ac/heating system we unfortunately had Parrish install. After 2 years of constant visits from techs not a single part of this unit works properly. The entire unit was installed improperly, they didn't even seal the joints so most of our air was going into the attic, after DOZENS of visits it took less than 10 seconds in the attic with the unit on for even a child to tell it was venting most of the air before it even got to the house but I guess their endless parade of senior techs and managers couldn't see that. The auxiliary heating coil is entirely too small and installed wrong so it is on 90% of the time with no effect other than to raise our electric bill and the fan in the unit cannot push air at a volume that the house needs. We had a smaller ac unit in before switching to this one to get away from our oil heat and the half ton smaller AC unit never had any issues but this unit, which is bigger, cannot keep the house under 80 in the summer. Like I said, the people at Parrish are very nice, one of the reasons I chose them to begin with, and they will genuinely seem to care most of the time but they cannot actually do the work. I'm not sure if it is because they don't want to or because they are unable but every other HVAC company that I have dealt with is far more knowledgeable than Parrish. I have medical problems that require I live in a temperature controlled area so I have had to leave my wife and kids on some days to stay at friends or hotels during the most extreme temperatures. They simply do not do good work and it seems to be no one person to blame but the company as a whole, do yourself a favor and do not let them do work for you. There are plenty of other HVAC companies out there. Edit 1: After taking advise from a lawyer and a Trane tech I called Parrish and demanded the unit be fully replaced, they asked for one more shot at getting it fixed and promised a replacement if it didn't work afterward. Tech Jacob came out and within 10 minutes found the problem (broken heater coil and main power running across the control board) Replaced parts in a few days and we are fixed. Electric bill went from 474 to 140, the tech was fantastic and nice like everyone else but had a better knowledge base and I think payed more attention. For now I am moving this to a 2 star, will add another if AC works in summer. read more

Filled out an online request for an estimate to be done on some electrical work and when the electrician finished the estimate said there was a $106 charge just for coming out to give an estimate! Not once did a representative say anything about a charge for an estimate. Aside from the fact that the estimate was EXTREMELY overpriced, everything that was estimated was from a fixed price booklet that the electrician had with him. The estimate could have been easily performed over the phone to avoid a charge to begin with. After I called the company to dispute the fact that they're charging a service fee (even though the electrician told me that he'd have it waived), the customer service rep promised to call back later that afternoon with the supervisor - they called back a WEEK LATER. When I complained that there should not have been a charge for an estimate, they said that the service had been provided. WHAT SERVICE??? It was an estimate from a book! Never use them, they're overpriced and gouge you any way they can. read more

The company charged me a lot without actually solving my A/C problem, which turned out to be a leak on the Freon pipe. Each time its technician came and told me that a component needed to be replaced, for which the company charged a very high service fee (a total of around $1500 for two times. The components were free because warranty was still unexpired). But the problem (no cooling) had never been solved by the company, despite the replacements! Eventually I hired another company which fixed the problem very easily at a very reasonable cost! I will never use Parrish Services again nor will I recommend it to anybody! read more

I can not recommend Parrish Services for your electrical needs. After scheduling an appointment in advance for a 4-6 hour project, we were scheduled with an 8am - 2pm window. ultimately, the technician showed up a little after 5pm. No fault to the technician, but the failure what at the headquarters level. Note - the on-site electrician was great. After listening (indirectly) to the conversation between the electrician and the headquarters, I determined that -- (1) the headquarters called me "irrational" for being a bit upset for a 3 hours delay that made a 4-6 hour project impossible to complete as scheduled, (2) told him to offer me a 'service contact' to see if that appeases him (why would I want a contact with a company that cannot fulfill its promises?) (3) he was prohibited, by the home office, from offering any $ discounting to actually complete the work as scheduled, (4) I was not 'eligible' to talk to a management unless I was refusing payment for services rendered (query: how can services be rendered when they are 3hrs later and cannot be fully completed until 11pm?), and (5) I can call to reschedule the appointment and file a complaint with the "compliant department." As a landlord that sat at the unit from 8am - 5pm waiting for Parrish to arrive, I'm embarrassed (to my tenant) that I'd actually engaged them. They might do excellent work - as a substantive electrical matter (but I'll never know) - but their backoffice & customer operations makes me look anywhere but Parrish Services for my needs. After considering today's appointment schedule for the technician, its clear that they can't possibly handle any new work - so maybe its best that you don't even bother calling....because maybe they can't handle it? read more

A/C on upper floor leaked thru ceiling, damaging drywall/ceiling and hardwood floors. The Trane unit was installed less than a year before by Parrish Services, total work costing more than $10,000 at that time. Called Parrish, they came out and they weren't certain what caused the leak, but would have to come out again w/a second person to lift the unit, examine the pan beneath the unit, etc. They came out but not before we had to call the owner of the company twice (who has been very ill for quite some time) after the owner's wife was rude, very unpleasant, told me that she didn't want our business, that she had 50,000 customers, etc., and hung up! Basically, they didn't want to take responsibility for the defective work and the damage caused by their work less than a year earlier. The technician came w/a helper, lifted the unit, and found that the pan had not been level, causing it to spill out of the back, therefore not setting off the sensor in the pan which would have shut down the unit and have stopped the extensive water damage to the floor below. He replaced the pan, said the owner, Mr. Givens, agreed to do it w/o any charges because it was under warranty. However, I was forced to give a deposit on my Visa before they would even come out to perform the work. The deposit of $235 was supposed to be refunded per the tech and noted on the invoice. To date, Parrish will not return phone calls, e-mails, and basically blocked our phone number so no calls from our home or cell phone will go through to Parrish. Basically, they don't want to acknowledge the extensive damage caused by their defective workmanship in installing the pan last August, and it appears they want to keep the $235 deposit which we have under dispute w/Visa. Let me be clear, the technician, Brian, was professional, appeared to be very knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with. Also, Mr. Givens had always been professional in working with us, but since he is incapacitated and not available much of the time, it appears his wife is running the show, more or less, and making some very poor decisions, and knows nil about "customer service" or professionalism. read more

So this was through 2-10 Home Warranty. Parrish came out the first time and diagnosed the blower motor was the problem and that they would have to replace it. But then they said they would require us to pay for a non-covered cleaning of the coils and fan for $275 in order to replace the motor. Basically they were not making money off of the warranty so they tried to force an unnecessary cleaning. I went up and took pictures of the coil, which was very clean, and the blower assembly would be replaced so why that was a little dusty, since it would be replaced, it would be ridiculous to replace it. So we asked 2-10 to not require us to clean what was already clean or about to be replaced and 2-10 agreed. S o Parrish after receiving the blower motor on Monday did not reschedule a visit until Friday but only after I called 2-10 to report that they did not schedule a return visit. Meanwhile we dont have AC in half the house. So within an hour of calling 2-10, Parrish called and scheduled the blower install for Tues. The guy shows up Tues and asks whats the problem and insists repeatedly he has no record of Parrish Services visiting us ever and he has no blower assembly. After I call 2-10 then he says he got an email that they do have the blower assembly. So I asked him if he could go and get it and he refused to get it saying that we would get a call after they determine when they can reschedule. I called 2-10 again and 2-10 pushed Parrish to schedule for Thursday, 9 days after they received the replacement part and 2 weeks for us without AC in half the house. read more

If we could give Parrish a negative number of stars we would based on our experiences with them. We have had only aggravation and problems in dealing with Parrish Services. We hired them under their annual HVAC maintenance and service contract. Unfortunately, on three specific jobs, they not only failed to do the job properly, but made things worse. Specifically: 1) Installation of a drainage system for the air handler in our attic. After major water damage on our second floor caused by the overflow of the pan below our air handler, we hired Parrish to put in a fail-safe redundant system to prevent another such accident. We later learned from another contractor that the system Parrish built was not redundant at all - the two pipes the Parrish tech installed for redundancy actually flowed INTO ONE SINGLE PIPE a few feet along the line. Also the Parrish tech failed to glue together the seam where two pipes he installed came together, which led to Parrish failure #2... 2) When a picture fell off the wall in our kids' playroom, the problem was traced to a leak that dripped water down to the first floor. We called Parrish (because we were still paying for the annual contract). The plumber they sent went up to the attic and couldn't find a leak. He then had to cut holes in the ceiling to check for a leaky toilet and shower - no leaks there. So we hired another contractor. He went to the attic and found the leak in literally 30 seconds: it was at that meeting of the two pipes installed by Parrish in the attic! Another Parrish fail - because their tech didn't use 10 cents worth of glue in what is standard procedure in those instances, I now needed to hire another contractor to fix the initial problem with the "redundant" system AND patch and paint the 3 big holes in my ceiling cut by a Parrish tech who couldn't find a leak another contractor detected immediately. 3) We had Parrish put in a new garbage disposal as the last job before the HVAC contract ran out. Not long after, water started leaking into the kitchen cabinet under the sink. It turns out the Parrish tech NEVER SCREWED IN THE DISPOSAL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SINK. As a result, the seal was weak and leaking occurred. When I took a picture of this obvious negligence (the kit even comes with the screws) and sent to Parrish (along with a video clip showing how ridiculously loose the disposal was and clear directions on YouTube about using and tightening the screws), they refused to pay for the several hundred dollars I paid for this faulty Parrish "install". Their response? We should have called Parrish to fix the problem. The thing is, after a company screws up 3 times, you don't call them for a fourth fix! I should mention that all the techs were very polite and responsive in showing up when they said they would - problem is, they didn't seem to know what they were doing... Our Parrish contract is over - we will never do business with this company again. And they're refusal to reimburse us for the faulty work they performed (and for which we had to pay ANOTHER contractor to repair) just adds insult to injury. We gave Parrish more than a fair shot - they failed 3 times in a row. read more

Save your time and money and do not deal with these crooks. There was a time when they actually were reputable but now they just try to squeeze whatever they can from you. They quoted the work at $480 when two other plumbers gave me quotes of $85 and $100. Plus the work they recommended was not needed according to two other professionals. Finally to do the work that should have been covered under warranty they quoted $380. This was a quote for work on a water heater that I purchased from them only 2 years ago that needs $380 worth of repairs???!!!!! I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. read more

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. From the technicians to the senior members of the company, all are dishonest! My air conditioner has not been functioning properly for for this entire season and since we bought the house less than a year ago, the house was still under home warranty. Parrish was the second HVAC company to come fix the problem. The first company was also worthless but at least they didn't scam us, just didn't diagnose the problem. The Parrish tech claimed that the AC needed to be cleaned and it will cost $189 and it was not covered by the warranty company. They assured us that cleaning it will fix the problem. But after paying them $192 ($3 for the maintenance package), the air conditioner stopped working again the next day. The home warranty company requested them to come back and this time they place a hard start and claims it will fix the ac but the root of the problem is electrical. Long story short, after visits from an electrician and a third HVAC company, the problem was in fact the compressor. So we called Parrish and explained to them that they didn't in fact fix the problem and demanded our money back. After days of multiple calls and no one willing to give us a straight answer, finally a senior member of the company spoke to us. He not only was rude but said that it was our fault the AC is not working because we didn't take care of our 12 year old air conditioner when we only owned the house for less than 1 year. He was very rude and said he will refuse to speak to us again. What happened to customer service??!! If a senior member of the company can act like that, it explains why the technicians are so incompetent. After this experience, we did extensive research on HVAC companies and chose an excellent company to replace our HVAC systems. The service we experienced was night and day compared to Parrish. Please stay away from Parrish. If a home warranty company wants to send them to your house, request another company. It will save you time and money. read more

I have mixed feelings about this company. They replaced my water heater last fall, but managed to break the gas line to the fireplace. Charges were comparable to other vendors, technicians prompt and courteous, but accepted no responsibility for the damage. Offered to have another technician to show up and charge for a full visit. Last week I had an electrician come and install light fixtures. Once again prompt, polite, capable. Job well done. Looked at the receipt... Well they did push the PSP thing on me, so everything he did cost only 85% of the arm and a leg. When I checked the numbers, it turned out that the discount they promised was not quite there. So I called for the explanation. Could never get to anyone in the "know". The lady that answered the phone was corteous, prompt, polite and efficient in providing a firewall between the overcharged customer and the sensitivities of the management. Why the company would charge outrages fees I can understand. Why the company would push a service whose best feature is a recurring automatic payment I can understand. But the company would nickel-dime the sucker who is willing to put up with these practices and lose his (mine) business forever, is beyond me. My house is at the age when repairs and maintenance are becoming a theme song, so treating me this way right about now does not appear to be the best business strategy. Do not waste your money on the Priority Service Plan - half the time they "forget" to honor their own pricing and you have to fight them to fix what they've charged you. And if the PSP service is faster then the regular service must be absolutely horrible. I was referred to Parrish through my home warranty to fix a multitude of electrical issues in my house. When I called to set up the appointment, I was given a time frame of 2-6pm, to which I told them that I may be able to make it home by 2pm, but definitely by 2:30pm I could be home from work. Apparently this was not noted. At 1:30 I get a voicemail telling me to call them within 15 minutes. I call them at 1:45 as I'm getting off work and reiterate to them that I will be home by 2:30pm. After the rude woman on the phone told me that 2:30-6pm is not a time frame they work with, and that if I needed a later time frame they offer 4-8pm appointments, but I would be charged for overtime for the technician (which is 1-ridiculous and 2- never offered to me in the first place), she told me she would send the technician on a break and send him to the home as long as I would be home by 2:30 (which is what I originally scheduled). I get home at 2:30 to find a note on my door saying they were here at 2:15 and left. So I call Parrish AGAIN to tell them that I am home and they need to send the technician back because he apparently didn't get the memo. The lady I spoke to told me they had waited over an hour for me (mind you, even if my appointment was at 2pm, it was only 2:30pm at this point in time... impossible), and that the technician had driven too far and he couldn't come back today. I told her that if he couldn't come back, I did not want to reschedule because it was ridiculous, but that didn't seem to phase her. Needless to say, my home warranty company knows of this run around (to which they agreed it was ridiculous) and I will be using a company that actually cares about customer service. read more

We recently had a pipe in the wall start leaking. The repair person came out, realized the leak was caused by a previous technician error, so the re-work ended up being free. So I'm not giving a super-high rating due to the error, but they made up for it by doing the rework for free. read more

I strongly recommend that you not use Parrish Services. I described the two separate issues -- dripping shower head and leak from upstairs bathroom into dining room -- to the technician. When I showed him the dripping shower head he stated that the leak into the dining room was coming from this shower. When I explained that wasn't possible, that in fact the shower was not over the dining room he stated that I was wrong. When I showed him where I thought the leak into the dining room was coming from -- the guest bathroom -- he said that I needed to have a new toilet put in. This may be true but he made this assessment without inspecting anything. To fix the shower was 189.00 plus 53.00. The new toilet started at 389.00 and could go hire he explained. I paid him the required 53.00 fee and said no thanks. read more

STOP!!! Run don't walk away from this company and tell everyone you know! They installed an indoor and outdoor HVAC system and I purchased a maintenance agreement. The person who installed the indoor system was clueless and somehow managed to totally mess up the ductwork. For most of summer of 2010, the cool air was going into the attic! To their credit, they sent one tech after the other to try to fix the mess. This went on for an entire year. The maintenance agreement is a scam. The tech who did the "maintenance" failed to properly charge the unit so no air until another tech fixed the mess. Three months later, the AC quits again. This time because the coils are so dirty the capacitor quits. The tech who came to fix this prob tells me that if the coils had been cleaned it wouldn't have happened. I disputed the $342 charge. A very nasty Mike Beachy boisterously declared that he is the regional manageer and the last word. No I could not speak to his boss and if I didn't pay up, he would have the tech remove the part!!! The lack of technical competence is matched only by this guy's lack of professionalism. read more

They have done very poor work in our home, they were unable to identify a simple problem that created other problems and they refused to correct the situation. We have used in the past and where somewhat happy but not thrilled. When our A/C started acting funny over the past heatwave we called them out again. Service tech spends a lot of time talking "tech" and seems nice of enough. Puts in one pound of freon without telling us the price and then slides bill across the table for $199. WILL NOT USE AGAIN. Scam artists is what I am starting to think. BTW the next person said we did not need freon and that Parrish tech's are required to "sell" $900 of something everyday. read more

PLEASE Do not hire this company!! They came to fix our tankless hot water heater. They said it would cost $600 to fix. We gave them $200 deposit they came back and replaced the wrong part. They wanted an additional $400 to come back and replace the RIGHT part !! and wanted us to pay the balance before they came back. We told them we would pay the rest when the problem was fixed. They said NO we are not coming back until you pay the balance. Probably the worst part was that we called a least four times to talk to the manager and THEY WOULDN'T CALL US BACK instead we got a certified letter stating that if we didn't pay within 3 days they would put a lean on our property. This was all within 2 weeks of service. So we are out $600 and they never fixed it. We did research and fixed it ourselves for $50!!!!!! They are taking advantage of customers. Great work but I value Integrity as the key to successful business. AC/Heat service call placed thru homeowners warranty; Technician was polite, proffessional, confident and took care of the leaky line and filled with refirgerant however he kept trying to SELLme on other items the entire time he was at my home but I said no to all of them when..... He then said he had to call the Homewarranty company and get the repair authorized. After this call, he said, I quote "they will not cover this repair unless you get the unit cleaned". I said "go ahead and clean the unit if my homeowners warranty will not pay for the repair because it needs to be cleaned. I asked how much and he said it would cost me $ 159.00. Total cost this date was $249.00. Same day, I found out from the Homeowners warranty they did not say this to the technician and they do not operate this way. Since my mother taught me to have integrity and honesty, I prefer to give this a very low rating. Did I really need this service? My guess is probably not after putting it all together. If my husband had not talked on the phone with this guy while I was at home alone with the technician, this repair probably would have continued to escalate with more costs. He was now in the house and in my thermostat poking around in the wiring after 4.5 hours of being outside. He then sasys to me "well weve got some bad news and weve got some good news". The technician ended up telling me he would have to charge $106.00 per hour to rewire the recently replaced thermostat and there was "no telling how long this could take" (total crap). He was already there 5 hours and I was exhausted! He asked me so many questions about myself , my husband and my family it seemed he was now a member of the family. His way of gaining information to get inside your head to sell stuff and this is sales trainning learned from the big dogs!!! I called the manager to voice my complaint the next day and he said "this is our policy to clean before a repair". If perhaps his technician would have been honest and said this to me, I would not have an issue with honesty. Instead he tried to consistently sell me services and when I would not bite off, he then turned on his bag of tricks and sold me the dishonest way by saying the Homeowners warranty would not cover the repair unless I had the unit cleaned. The manager stood by his technician and never called back. Oh and I forgot to mention the technician also asked to see the paperwork from the previous person who repaired my unit several months ago.I believe asking for this is none of his business and only leaves more opportunity for some more scam work! Big red flag!! He should be able to find the problem without looking at anothers repairwork to get his answers. Just fix my problem...I dont want a maintenance plan, a booster unit and probably did not need the cleaning. He was at my home nearly 5 hours for a leaky line. No wonder they have to sell extra stuff. Geez, I am glad I have a warranty plan. I thought I was going to have to invite him to dinner...I could not get rid of him. The technician also continued to talk about purchasing a home and buying geothermal heating for his home. He kept raving about it as if he wanted me to bite off. A tech came out today and told our warranty company that he did a visual inspection of our evaporator coil and found a hole that had leaked 75% of my Freon. The problem is he never opened my air handler to look at the coil. How could he see a hole in the evaporator without opening it? He must have x-ray vision. He also stated he could not perform a leak test because the compressor unit wasn't in running condition. Funny, both my units are running now, but they just don't cool well. Our own company came out and looked at the unit with the "bad compressor" and stated it is the reversing valve, not the compressor. Parrish also stated the wires on my reversing valve are burnt and they are not. Stay away from these folks because you don't want the trouble we have had to go through. *******UPDATE******** My own choice of company came to visit and look at my downstairs unit. They found no issues with my downstairs unit. This is the same unit Parrish said was 3lbs low on Freon. My same feedback stays. If it were me, I would stay far away from this company. read more

No stars! Terrible Service. If your insurance tries to get you to use them, tell them you would like a different vendor. They installed a new heating system for us, which didn't pass inspection from the county inspector. I have scheduled 5 repairs (so far) and its still not correctly installed. Every tech that comes out is CLUELESS as to what he needs to bring to repair it. He comes in, looks at it, goes to his truck, orders parts, promises someone will call us and leaves. SO far, I have lost 5 days from work over this. I feel like asking them to just take the heating unit out of my house and starting over with a different company. HORRIBLE!! read more

I've used Parrish Services twice now, both times with the same technician, Andrew. 1st time was back in January when my heater went out (oil). It was a Saturday night, and two other companies I called didn't even have an employee available that knew oil furnaces. Parrish had someone here within the hour. He was able to diagnose the problem and get it (almost) fixed quickly. However, the system needed 1 broken piece to be replaced in order to start working again, which he didn't have, and seeing as it was the weekend, said he couldn't get until Monday. But sure enough, first thing Monday he arrived with the part and installed it, getting my heater back up and running again. He was so professional and nice, even bringing treats for my dogs and being very aware of not tracking dirt in on his shoes. Second time I brought him back to install an air purifier for our home, which was done within an hour as well. Very prompt and professional service, I'll definitely use them again! read more

We have been using Parrish for 2 years now, and signed up for their maintenance plan. We are nothing but grateful for them. We have had so many issues with our HVAC whether in the summer or winter. They will always show up the same day, always on time, and always keep us in the loop as to when the technician will come. The technicians are experts in this field. Yesterday, our HVAC system lost power. We have a 9 month old baby and its 12 degrees outside at night. We called them at 5pm, they were at our house by 9pm. Jim, the technician stayed until 12:30am! Not only did he change the fuse, he was insistent on finding the issue we had been having for weeks about our heat not coming on sometimes until we manually turned it on. Finally around 11:00pm, he found the issue, and had all the parts in his truck! He would not leave until he was convinced that the system was back up and running perfectly. Having to be at work early that morning again, he did whatever it took to help us. I cannot be more grateful to Jim, and to Parrish. Outstanding customer service, and I am recommending them to everyone I know. Thank you Parrish! read more

In 10/09 we had an indoor humidifier installed in our home by Parrish Services Inc. We used it for about 7 weeks. Turning it on late 2010 it cracked and broke, Parrish replaced it without any issues. The same thing occurred in late 2011/early 2012, pretty quickly after we turned it on. Contacted them to ask what we could do, they said we will send a technician out to look at it. He came out and said, yep its broken, I have to call my management. He did, they would replace it, but wanted $300 in labor, but wouldn't recommend replacing it as they have replaced this brand in several homes. But, they are willing to sell me another brand for $600. What about the money I put into this one for about 2 1/2 months of service. He basically said oh well and did they tell you it would cost you $106 for me to come out here? NO! He called management again and they said, they would have to listen to the recording to make sure their person did not tell me I was going to be charged. To not put him in the middle, I used my credit card to pay for it. STUPID! They called me back and said that I was not told this and my card would not be charged. WRONG! Then I talked with Allen Gibbons and he basically said the warranty was up and we should go to Honeywell. Parrish Services was only the contractor who installed it -- it is not Parrish's job to stand behind the product. Air conditioners only run a few months of the year and then break down too! HMMMM -- wasn't sure if he was saying I was lucky to get 2 1/2 months out of the product or what. Asked him to make sure my $106 was refunded, did he -- NOOOOO! I have put a dispute in with my credit card company. If you want to use them, good luck! I would pay more to someone after checking ratings -- these people are unbelievable! read more

Be aware!!!!!!! I have AHS warranty and parish came to give me a second opinion on why my AC was not cooling well. They sent their top technician SCOTT Gilmore. He came and checked everything and said all is well with a unit and despite what United Air recommendation I do not need any freon. BUT.... He said that " I have mold on my inside unit and coil and furness". He showed me some blurry pics and gave me a full lecture on how dangerous this is for me and my 2 little kids. He offered a solution by installing a UVC light to kill the mold at a cost of $1600. However if I do it right there and then then he could drop it to $1400. Needless to say I got very scared. I asked him if he could clean it and then I could install it later cause $1400/$1600 is a lot of money. He said no he has to do all in same day. I decided to research this a and told him I will contact him later. Same day I called an old tech I worked with before and asked him to come and see and give me another estimate. He came the next day and by then my AC, that Scott had checked and had NO issues except mold, had stopped working. So when my tech came we had to shut down the system to let it de-ice before he could do anything. The next day he came back and realized that my freon was low and I had NO mold anywhere to be found. I paid this guy $75 for the check and called AHS. I told them the issue and they suggested we ask United Air to come back and add freon. United Air sent in a great tech. He added one pound of freon and checked they system for mold again. Nothing was fund...... I had my air ducts cleaned by Sears today and they also confirmed NO mold. That why I decided to do this report. The Tech from PARISH was a scammer. He told me he will send me a service ticket via email with his findings before he left. He NEVER did. I usually never take the time to do reports because I think in this bad economy no one should lose their job. But Scott deserves it. He was willing to take $1400 from me and the mouth of my kids for something that was not needed while making me scared about the health of my kids. Not cool man. Not cool at all. I had been using Parrish Services for a few years for my rental properties. Had the priority service plan and all. Sometime last year, my credit card on file expired. They tried to contact me a couple of times, and I was away on travel - no messages ever said the card had expired and I needed to provide a new card. Suddenly I receive a collections notice that I owe them money for the last maintenance done. You would think that being a long time customer they would put in a bit more effort and let me know that the card is expired before sending to collections. I would not recommend these guys to anyone. read more

Parrish Services has been absolutely amazing! Every employee I have interfaced with has been top notch. They are helping troubleshoot a noise issue I am having with a brand new Trane system another HVAC company installed. My installer was having issues with getting assistance from Trane, and Parrish came to the rescue. They are even working hand and hand with my installer now to ensure the issue gets resolved properly. I can't express how happy I have been with the response and support I have received from the COO Linda and the Owner Alan. They have truly gone above and beyond, and all on an install they weren't involved with at all. In addition, to at almost no cost to me. Find Another Contractor!! On Friday, I called and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday with a service window between the hours of 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM. When I scheduled my appointment, noted that the work would require the Technician to be in the attic of my 3-story townhouse. I was informed at this time that there would be a $106 fee just for the Technician to come to my home, before any work or estimate would be provided. On Tuesday, the day of my appointment, I received a phone call from the office at 1:00 PM to note that the Technician would call me directly when they were on their way to my home. At 2:15, I called the office to find out where the Technician was as he was now late for my appointment window. I was told that he had been injured on an earlier call and the appointment would need to be rescheduled. At 3:00 PM, I received a call from the Office to notify me that they would need to reschedule my appointment as it was too late in the day for their Technician to work in an attic space. There was no mention of the earlier reported injury and no one acknowledged that I stipulated that the work would occur in the attic when I made the original appointment. As I am not able to telecommute or work from home in any way, I lost an entire day waiting for a Technician who would not show and still have an unresolved repair. When asked if I would like to reschedule, I requested that the appointment be scheduled for Saturday, on my day off from work. I was denied. I then asked for a 7:00 AM appointment; I was offered the next available 7:00 AM appointment which was 7-days away. I received no apology, no accommodation in any form to expedite my appointment which was lost due to Parrish's inability to properly schedule their crew or due to a safety incident, depending on which story one was to believe. I was simply offered a reprieve on their absurd fee to have someone arrive at my home, which surely would be absorbed in their overpriced fees for the subsequent repair work. The individual with whom I spoke today has zero concept of what it feels like to wait for hours in a hot house, expecting a Technician to maintain their commitment to appear, while wasting precious vacation hours to sit and wait. She was rude, at best. At the end of the day, Parrish has forgotten that they advertise Service which they clearly cannot deliver. read more
