This company is horrible. I will never use them again. My appointment was between 3-5 and the tech did not show up until 7:10. He replaced parts that didn't need to be replaced. When I asked him about checking other parts he assured this repair would fix my hot water tank and it did not. If you are a warranty customer they don't care about you. I had to talk to 3 people at my warranty company to get another contractor out. After much arguing, they sent someone else to my home who actually fixed my problem. It was what I suspected. Parrish didn't want to take the time to properly diagnose my problem, but had no problem taking my money. They are not worth the one star I had to select. read more

I have used Parrish for years (mainly because I have been too lazy to switch) and have concluded after my most recent encounter that I am an idiot. I should be a high priority customer for them inasmuch as I have 3 HVAC systems and pay for an annual Priority Service Agreement. Despite all of that I continue to receive the sort of service from Parrish that leaves me scratching my head as to how on earth they stay in business. Twice a year they send out some new kid who is friendly as could be but barely able to find the units. Then inevitably I am told " well you need a whole new system and what kind of a scoundrel would have sold you such a system to begin with" (uh, that you would be you). And then when I dutifully pay $1,000 for "warranty covered service" (Huh?), again because I am a lazy idiot, they tell me that have to order the new part and I wait weeks to have it delivered. And they never show up during the window. I honestly do not understand how they stay in business. I could not recommend more strongly that if you have any other viable choice to receive service, you look elsewhere. Truly dreadful. read more

Its just as all the other reviews say... they give you a 4 hour window and show up after the window has passed. Today was especially awesome because they never bothered to call and when I called them, they informed me they had already visited. I assured them that was incorrect. I called to complain and the office assistant actually argued with me. They have no customer service skills. And oh, just like other reviews, the technicians speak jargon but don't really do anything, then you get charged. The only reason this company is in existence is because the home warranty services force them upon you. I'll be taking that up with them. And I will also be setting up a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. read more

If I could give no stars, I would. We used to have an annual maintenance contract with Parrish. They installed a new AC system 6 years ago. Needless to say, that 6 year old compressor is shot. Parrish came out, we determined it was under warranty so a week and a half later (yes this is in May and early June in the Mid-Atlantic - thankful for a cool start to summer) we finally get on schedule. Tech installed the new compressor, still didn't work, needed a valve (this is on Thursday), he'll be back. Tuesday, having heard NOTHING we made three calls - told we need to speak to Rachel and messages will be passed, she should return call shortly. Nothing. Start calling Wednesday morning, sit on hold 5 minutes, disconnected. Call back, on hold 9 minutes when I finally get a customer service rep - very nice, says we need to speak to Rachel, she'll get her. Rachel comes on tells me she received no messages (someone is lying), needed to wait until part received to schedule service. I demanded to know when it came in - Monday (uh, it's Wednesday and not only are you not calling, you don't respond to messages). She gets huffy with me (to be fair, I was huffy, too), I want to speak to a supervisor. Not available (shocking!) . . . but she'll give him a message and he'll call me back (pardon if I don't hold my breath waiting for THAT to happen). Soonest they can get out to FINISH the job they STARTED last THURSDAY is this THURSDAY between 2 and 6. Even money says it's still not done properly. We've had experience with Parrish over the 10 years we've lived in this house and experiences have never been good. Call someone else unless you have time and money to burn. Follow up on Thursday: Supervisor NEVER called . . . assuming he ever got the message. 2nd Follow-up. Tech showed up an hour late on Thursday (not a problem, lots of storms in the area although rep called with an update while I was holding to complain about late arrival - consider that a draw), installed the valve and all seems to be working fine. No complaint with result just the process was a nightmare! Next time, I'll call someone else. read more

We were very unhappy on numerous fronts with our recent experience with Parrish Services: - the technician put more coolant in our AC system without first explaining what problems he had found, without discussing other options, or even getting our authorization to proceed. -We paid the amount that he requested without being presented with a bill. We were promised that an invoice would be emailed to us. We've made several calls to Parrish's customer service dept specifically to request the bill and description of services rendered - it's been 4 business days and we still haven't received our bill via email as promised. -2 days later our AC was out again. We contacted Parrish Services again as well as a couple of other vendors this time. All of them confirmed that a leak test needed to be performed to find the location of a probable leak before any other work could be done. The other vendors advised that the test should have been done prior to the addition of more coolant, a mistake that was very costly for us. -It took several more calls to Parrish's customer service dept. and several days to get a response from someone regarding our dissatisfaction with their service. Only after we called a third time to notify them that we were cancelling our check for previous services rendered did we get a call from one of the managers. -the manager's handling of the situation was deplorable. He was belligerent/argumentative from the start. He claimed that he had tried to call us several times, but we were home all day and our caller ID indicates otherwise. (Funny how he was able to reach us within 5 minutes of hearing we had cancelled our check!) He claimed that the technician had offered us the option of performing a test and that we must have not understood. He didn't accept responsibility or apologize for any of our complaints despite the statements we made that contradicted his position. We called Parrish in the first place because they had a good rating in the EBSCO Best Picks Guide. We thought they were a good bet because they were also listed on Trane's website as a local authorized dealer. Based on our experience, they don't deserve that rating. Horrible experience! WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. This is my first ever review on Yelp! Got a quote to hook up a gas line from the gas meter to the furnace (which was already installed). The technician came out and quoted me one price if the meter was installed on the left side of the house (the site of the original gas line). I told him I may be able to have the meter installed on the right side (much closer to the furnace - same side of the house). He came out again and gave me a lower quote since it would be a much shorter run of the gas line through the basement. I physically showed him the potential two locations of the gas meters. When I finally get Washington Gas to approve and set up a timeframe for the installation of the gas to the house, I begin calling. It took a few weeks and several calls to get anyone there to call me back. Finally they tell me the technician will call me - it took another call a few days later to get a call back. I tell them the gas meter should be installed by Friday. He has a few days to pull a permit for the work. The technician shows up with another guy on Friday without a permit and informing me he can't do any work today and by the way, it is going to cost more money (at least $300 more). I tell him I'll give him a deposit but I want to speak with someone. He says he'll be back early on Wednesday to do the work. I get a call on Monday evening from a someone else and we discuss my disagreement with the higher quote. He tells me he will follow up and confirm that the technician will be there to do the work on Wednesday. My wife stays home from work waiting for him. He doesn't show but I get a call at 9 am telling me they can't do the work for the price quoted or even the lower end of the higher quote (if the meter was on the left side of the house). He spoke to his boss (who later admitted he was in a meeting with his people as to why they are underbidding jobs!). I tell him I want to talk to the owner. The owner does call me back and tells me that he will only do it for the highest price quoted. He did not apologize for the weeks I went trying to get a call back nor the time an energy we spent waiting for the technicians to show up and do work when they didn't. Then he made some offhand comment as to why I didn't have the HVAC people that installed the furnace do the work. My choice was to pay their price or find someone else. Despite the hassle, I chose to find someone else because I no longer felt I could trust them to do the job on time and correctly. From all of this, it seems clear to me they have a problem either with the competency of the technicians bidding jobs or the ability to deliver on what they promised. read more

There is no point in signing a priory contract with this company. After being told at a maintenance check our unit was fine, within a 3 weeks our unit broke. I called at 8:00 am to schedule an appointment to have it fixed. Was told someone could not come out until the following day during evening hours between 1:00-6:00. After multiple calls and being hung up on 3 times in transfers I decided to terminate the "priority" contract. After dealing with this for 2 1/2 hours, I was told that someone could come out that evening as a courtesy to me and my family. This led to more challenges. Please do not use this company. McCrea is who we will use from now on. They worked us in with no contract and even told me about a coupon!! We have used them in the past. Run...I hate to post this because I want to support local business. I waited for a few months to allow this company to make things right, to no avail. Called to schedule appointment for replacement of a flapper on a toilet. The 5 hour window passed without a call from anyone to tell me they were running late. I called the company and was told that they were running behind. I asked to be rescheduled for a first call in the morning on a different day. I was told that they did not have a first call slot opened. So I cancelled the service call and planned to find another plumber. A few days later I got a call saying the technician was no his way. Hmm, I thought I cancelled the service call? I went ahead and accepted as my toilet was still not fixed. The technician was a nice guy and seemed like her knew what he was doing but said he had to order a part as the flapper was not the usual kind that they carried. I was agreeable but told him that I was going out of town for more than a week and I would have to schedule when I returned. I called a week and a half later to schedule the appointment but the scheduler said they would have to contact the technician first. I never got a call back. After hounding the schedulers with multiple calls, I did get a call from the technician directly. He asked if I could go take a picture of the inside of the toilet and send it to his phone. He said he had 4 flappers on his truck but didn't know which one was mine. There is more to the story....including broken phone system, not returning calls, me asking for a refund on my annual service plan etc etc. The long story short is, that it took 1 month to get a flapper fixed on my toilet. I never did get a call back from anyone except a scheduler that stated that her manager offered to extend my 1 year service contract to 2 years. Why would I want to extend a contract, that I already paid for, to get no service. As a consumer, I know things can happen, but not to return phone calls, not to attempt to right poor service by management is just BAD business! This company needs to get their act together. read more

Find Another Contractor!! On Friday, I called and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday with a service window between the hours of 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM. When I scheduled my appointment, noted that the work would require the Technician to be in the attic of my 3-story townhouse. I was informed at this time that there would be a $106 fee just for the Technician to come to my home, before any work or estimate would be provided. On Tuesday, the day of my appointment, I received a phone call from the office at 1:00 PM to note that the Technician would call me directly when they were on their way to my home. At 2:15, I called the office to find out where the Technician was as he was now late for my appointment window. I was told that he had been injured on an earlier call and the appointment would need to be rescheduled. At 3:00 PM, I received a call from the Office to notify me that they would need to reschedule my appointment as it was too late in the day for their Technician to work in an attic space. There was no mention of the earlier reported injury and no one acknowledged that I stipulated that the work would occur in the attic when I made the original appointment. As I am not able to telecommute or work from home in any way, I lost an entire day waiting for a Technician who would not show and still have an unresolved repair. When asked if I would like to reschedule, I requested that the appointment be scheduled for Saturday, on my day off from work. I was denied. I then asked for a 7:00 AM appointment; I was offered the next available 7:00 AM appointment which was 7-days away. I received no apology, no accommodation in any form to expedite my appointment which was lost due to Parrish's inability to properly schedule their crew or due to a safety incident, depending on which story one was to believe. I was simply offered a reprieve on their absurd fee to have someone arrive at my home, which surely would be absorbed in their overpriced fees for the subsequent repair work. The individual with whom I spoke today has zero concept of what it feels like to wait for hours in a hot house, expecting a Technician to maintain their commitment to appear, while wasting precious vacation hours to sit and wait. She was rude, at best. At the end of the day, Parrish has forgotten that they advertise Service which they clearly cannot deliver. read more

Wow. Maybe I should have checked on Yelp first. My insurance company told me to use them and since I've seen their vehicles around I assumed they were reputable. I called them to make an appointment for the next day. They didn't even bother showing up or calling me. When I called them they told me they stopped working with my insurance company. I have paid Parrish to fix my A/C unit and perform annual maintenance on my gas fireplace. They fixed my A/C unit and it only took a week, but they left my house and damaged the fireplace adjust screw causing a gas leak. The next day my wife smelled gas and we called them back. They admitted their mistake but now want me to buy a new fireplace unit and after now a couple days no manager is returning my calls or emails. I'm going with another vendor from now on. Mistakes happen, but causing leaking gas into a house and not returning my calls/emails is unacceptable. read more

The technician arrived right on time, was courteous, did a thorough job, was friendly and knowledgable, and took the time to explain everything he did during the inspection - a well as show me pictures of and explain the inner workings of my unit. Absolutely awful. I have never been so disappointed with a service company. We called over a month ago to fix our AC, and it is still not repaired. First appointment - no show by them and we had to reschedule. Second appointment - guy comes but said that it tool required to detect leak was broken, so we had to reschedule the following week for him to come back with the right tool. He finally comes and we agree to the repair. It has been nearly 3 weeks, and it is still not complete. Tried calling multiple times to figure out when the repair will take place, but get no answers. My 18 month old is sleeping in a room that is 91 degrees ... we are all miserable. I cannot understand how these people are still in business. Never again. read more

Have to agree with a previous review by "Ken F.". I had a similar experience with Parrish Services and my HVAC system. A brief summary: Had issues with central AC and heat pump units, so filed a claim with 2-10 Home Warranty and they sent Parrish Services. Young technician showed up, and my wife was the one that was home. Technician proceeded to claim that the blower assembly needed cleaning and that biological growth was present, requiring additional treatment. He showed cell phone pics of the blower to my wife, then proceeded to try and sell her a monthly maintenance plan. Funny thing, I had pulled the blower 2 days prior to clean it and the surrounding duct area, and found no biological growth. In summary, Parrish Services wanted approximately $1200 for blower cleaning and other modifications on the AC, AND up to $3000 to "fix" both the AC and heat pump. Everyone knows that warranty work does not pay, and companies dislike "wasting" their time on such. After all was said and done, Parrish Services would not conduct any work unless the TOTAL estimate was agreed to. Needless to say, I told them (and my home warranty company) that I would not be utilizing Parrish's services. I paid a local company on my own dime to fix the upstairs system: total cost: $182 for a blown fuse replacement and blower cleaning. Recently had another local company (via a 2nd home warranty claim) show up and for the $100 deductible, they replaced a shorted capacitor on the downstairs AC unit, and added a start assist. My total cost $100; home warranty total cost $65! Showed them the Parrish Services invoice that I kept, and the technician just shook his head. He stated that he has to go behind Parrish Services quite often. His opinion: young technicians that are inexperienced, and too aggressive sales (yeah, no kidding). Additionally, he indicated that an experienced HVAC person would pick up on the blown capacitor, but an inexperienced one would not troubleshoot the issue correctly. Also of note, I asked the local company about a maintenance plan, since I assumed they'd jump all over that and promote it. Nope! He said to take some time to consider whether it fits our budget and whether it is something we seriously want to do, and he'll come back out and provide some documentation. Wow! An honest, thorough, skilled and low pressure tradesman; what a rarity:) Anyway, I assume opinions and experiences will vary, depending on what technician shows up. However, 1st impressions are everything when it comes to the service industry, and mine wasn't good. WIll not deal with this company, and now have a new local guy that is my go-to HVAC repairman. read more

Beware of these rip-offs! They came to the house to inspect a faulty toilet tank filling assembly and said the assembly needed to be replaced along with the o-ring that connects the tank to the toilet. The toilet is nine years old and the o-ring was fine. They gave an estimate of 480.00 to fix the problem, I went to Home Depot and for 11.97 and ten minutes of my time I replaced the assembly....... Problem was fixed, it is a shame how you can't have honest and reputable businesses anymore. They just want to take you to the cleaners and build their bank accounts. Shame on them! read more

Be careful if you purchase a new system from this company. The one I purchased had issues. An expensive part broke which was covered under warrenty. Parrish then tacked on a warranty proccessing fee of $199 and a diagnosis fee of $180. I would not have purchased from them I knew warranty service had steep fees. I have never seen this from any company and feel like they had me over a barrel with the warranty part. I don't feel good at all about the interaction with this company. read more

Absolutely horrible! DO NOT USE THEM!! I've had a service contract with these folks for the past 2 years. What I was paying for, I have no idea??? They just came out to look at my hot water tank. The 'plumber' they sent was over 300 pounds and couldn't even fit in my closet to look at the tank. He asked me if I was sure it was the water tank that was leaking. really? You're supposed to be the plumber...He finally gave me a quote after sitting in his truck for 20 minutes. $3200 to replace a 75 gallon hot water heater. WHAT???? They run around $800 at Lowes! Oh...and they couldn't come back out for 2-3 more days. When I asked him to provide a break down of the cost, he said he couldn't give me one, because it came from a pricing book. I proceeded to call the main office and asked to speak with the plumbing manager, Amanda. She was no where to be found and had some minion return my call. This woman, too, was not able to provide a break down of cost and said their rates are very average for the area. Needless to say, I asked the man to leave my house and told him I would not be using Parrish for anything in the future. I got a 2nd quote...$1400 with Service Now. They are coming out this afternoon Parrish continues to over charge their customers!!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!!! Did Ray (the plumber) think he could overcharge me because I was a woman? Scammers. I know that their technician broke our AC unit on purpose. After Parrish technician broke our AC we had to pay $250 for emergency repair. The guy from emergency repair said that the parrish technician changed some part and put it upside down in the AC that was located outside and accessible from the street. Parrish technician trespassed and vandalized our AC when he found out that I refused to pay for his visit. I accidently turned off the on/off switch for AC and it was not working. I called our home warranty company (2-10 it is called, really bad unethical company too) to fix the problem ( I thought the AC unit broke). The home warranty sent the Parrish services. Their technician checked everything and pointed that the problem was switch. According to home warranty policy I had to pay service fee or actual cost whichever is less. I told the guy that actual cost incurred was zero and I won't pay him the service fee. He argued with me and when he left our second AC unit broke right away. It was $90 degrees inside. I am sure they do it on purpose to make more money for a second visit , upgrade your system, purchase new AC from them and so on. read more

It was recommended that I get my entire furnace replaced. I could not regret that decision more. They put in a crap unit so 3 of the main parts of the furnace needed replacing immediately. This left me with no heat for about a week while they waited for parts to come in. It gets worse...wait for it. It gets installed. The heat is ok...it doesn't get as hot as my previous furnace did so the house is always cold unless I crank the thermostat up to 73! I'm not even a cold person normally...I like a little chill in the air. It gets worse...then. The end of the fixing of my furnace they send the knowledgeable guy out to do an inspection. They then inform me that Arlington County will have to come and inspect it. They then tell me that the air conditioning line no longer meets code and I'd need to pay them around 800 dollars more to fix it so I'd pass inspection!!!!! I feel like I've been robbed. I work hard for my money and I couldn't regret doing business with them more. When I talked with their customer service, they could care less about my failing inspection because they already had all my money for the furnace. Do NOT do business with these crooks! Do a search on Yelp and look for someone rated better! I found a few that look great with 5 stars and beautiful reviews. read more

1st time Spring maintenance call scheduled. Tech told us we had a mold problem in our ductwork. Said "hold on" and went out to his truck and brought in a smartphone with a picture of mold growth in ductwork. Said our options were put in a UV light for $1198 or pay $3,000 - $4,000 in the future as problem gets worse. This tech said he is only one to actually carry this UV light on the truck and he had just one left. Told him we wanted to think about it. Something just seemed odd about the way this was presented to us. Two days later we had a BioHazard / Mold / Water / Fire damage specialist examine our ductwork. These damage specialists are American Red Cross certified Disaster Responders. This specialist couldn't find a speck of mold in our ductwork. He also said UV light doesn't get rid of mold, a cleaning with special chemicals is what works. Cancelled maintenance agreement with Parrish today and explained to credit card company what had happened and to not allow any future charges to process. Do not use these people. read more

Expensive, but I almost jumped at the offer just to get rid of the mold as quickly as possible. I chose instead to do some research and found another company that offered the same services for $425. When I had them come out, they told me the black stuff in my HVAC was not mold at all. They rubbed their fingers at it and it dissolved immediately- unlike mold which needs chemicals to remove. This was simply dirt/dust. I looked on the BBB and someone else filed the exact same complaint against Parrish only 3 months ago, so I am afraid this could be a recurring scam rather than just an inaccurate diagnosis. Please be careful of this! I almost paid $1450 because I trusted Parrish's diagnosis and would have never known that it was totally unnecessary.nnI have reported this incident to the BBB and hope they can look into this dishonest practice. read more

I'll preface this by saying we were long time customers, over 10 years, so this isn't a rant after one experience. Even during that time, our experience with them has been lukewarm, but we stayed with them because they installed most of our HVAC system, which I now regret. The air conditioning unit has never worked right and they have used a band aid approach to repairing a unit that should have been replaced because it was a lemon. The most recent visit was the last draw when they ignored my wife and refused to call her back after a disagreement. I asked the owner to return my call several times and he chose to ignore me. We had to actually call them to schedule our last cool check, and we have been priority service members for years. It's a shame, really, because one would think long time customers who have spent a great deal of money deserved more. Even during the regular visits their techs routinely missed items or didn't do certain things, including not turning our gas valve on twice after their heat checks. There are plenty of three star companies out there you could do better with so I'd consider others before you trust them with your system. read more

In November of 2014 we hired Parrish to install a new AC unit at a cost of around $5,000. We had gotten lower estimates from another company, but I had worked with Parrish in the past and trusted them so we went with them. Everything was fine with the unit until last week. Three weeks ago we had a tech out for our annual ac check and everything looked good, but last week I noticed that one of the plastic legs supporting the outside portion of the unit was cracked. Parrish came out to fix it and at that time informed me that it was not on a proper pad for the slope of our yard, and the ground was eroding causing it to tip at an angle. The tech admitted that it should have been installed on a concrete slab and that his boss (the owner of the company) would be calling me to discuss options for fixing it to prevent further issues. I get a call from Allen and he basically offers to come out and level the dirt under the unit and shove some flat stones under it and replace the plastic legs with concrete filled ones...all for the bargain price of $500. Keep in mind that this unit is only 19 months old, cost us $5k to install, and they admit it was installed the wrong way for the slope of our yard. We decide to get a couple other opinions, but while we are waiting to get people out to inspect, the unit suddenly starts leaking freon, right where the guy was working. So he comes out a week later to look at it, and tells me it's the strain of the unit being unlevel that is causing the freon to leak from the copper pipe. He calls the owner again, who tells him that if we pay the $500 to level the unit, they will cover the cost to repair the leak in the line, but we will also have to pay for the new freon which is an additional $300+ dollars. This unit supposedly has a 10 year warranty, we have spent at least $13,000 with Parrish over the last 4 years, and they ADMIT it was not installed right. I can't wrap my head around the fact that they are now asking us to pay at least $800 dollars to fix something they screwed up! The tech told me they had a contract signed by us to install it on the pad the way it was, but NO options were ever presented to us. We signed what they presented as the proper way to do it, and we trusted them to be the experts. He then told me that the tech who worked with us during the sale is no longer with the company, like that is supposed to give them a pass for not being liable for their negligence. I've since talked to two different HVAC companies and both of them have said they should be fixing this problem for free and one suggested that we even report them to the BBB. This isn't the first time we have had issues with them not standing by their work, but the repairs and things they replaced were much smaller in value. Bottom line, stay far away from this company. They are the type of people who give repair guys a bad name. They don't stand by their work, and will charge you up the rear to fix their own mistakes. read more

if there is anything below 1 star, i would have put that! i had completely unprofessional service! i was referred by my home warranty company and after the 2nd time the tech came out, he lied directly to me "that the service was approved and he was waiting for the part." after numerous calls, the diagnosis wasn't even sent to the warranty company for over 24 hours then they said it might not be approved. after complaining to parrish about the technician lying to me (a customer!) he tells me that i need to use a different company!! this has cost me so much time and money for their incompetance. i hope consumers check yelp and other websites before considering parrish services. after going 8 days with airconditioning in july and getting the complete run around by everyone i spoke to at parrish they are the worst a/c company i have ever dealt with. read more

Our AC went out this week and after waiting 3 days for a tech from Parrish Services (who we requested specifically due to a good experience with their plumbing division) we were basically scammed by them. A cocky young man from Parrish wrote an exaggerated, negative report about the condition and maintenance of our system, making definitative negative statements about parts he couldn't actually see, and shading the report to the extent that our home warrenty company denied the claim. Why? Because they want us to purchase a new a/c system! They advised against spending any money to fix it once it was denied, but instead wanted to provide a price for a new one (plus their service plan of course!). The price they gave for the repair was outrageous, apparently in an effort to steer us in the direction of purchasing a new system. They know we are quite hot, and we feel they are using the situation to their advantage. Their tactics are unethical and we would not recommend them at all. Slimy. read more

extremely unprofessional and unethical company. they gave me a time slot to come look at my air conditioning and no one shows up. I left a voice mail but never got a call back like they promise to return the call within 30 minutes. I send a request on line and no one responded. i called them next morning and they told me the technician tried calling you and left you a voice mail and he could not get through. Surprisingly enough my cell phone had no missed call and voice mail. The next day i did not hear from them again and when i called they said the same thing - technician called you twice. However neither me nor my spouse had any missed called. I was later told that i was not even on the schedule. And they had given me the same excuse last year. If they tell you that your time slit is between 4 pm and 8 pm - you can be pretty sure that they will not come and you will be told that technician tried to call you and you could not be reached. read more

So far, I'm incredibly unimpressed with this company. It was almost a week before they could even get out to the house, and then they gave us the 2pm-6pm bracket. After making arrangements at work, they called to verify the day before and had switched it to the 10am-2pm bracket instead. (And they called the wrong contact number, despite us asking them to switch it to another phone number four separate times.) We ended up losing pretty much the entire workday (and they didn't show up until around 1pm anyway.) Then, the A/C worked for about 4 or 5 hours before it quit - again. Now, we have to wait another 5 days for them to come BACK out to the house and "re-diagnose" the problem. (And, according to the home warranty company, if they diagnosed it incorrectly and the diagnosis is different/correct whenever they get back out here, we'll have to pay them the $100 deductible again.) I would use Countryside or Davis Ford instead, and plan to in the future. read more

We have a maintenance contract with them. Recently we started experiencing intermittent issues with our gas hot water heater which is 8 yrs old. It took 3 days for a technician to come. He read the error code and showed us hand written instructions where it said the thermostat and pilot light needed to be cleaned. He did that with what looked like a stainless steel brush. He then vacuumed the debris. We left him alone for some time while cleaning. When we returned he started demonstrating to us how the boiler won't start regardless of the cleaning job. He told us we would need the whole gas valve panel to be replaced. The price we were quoted was close to $500 (parts and labor included). A deposit of 50% had to be made in order to place the order. He left with our deposit and a promise to call us the next day to inform us when he will be returning to install the part. He also told us to keep trying to start the boiler if we wanted to but how he thought it wouldn't start. The price tag kept us awake that night. Early the next morning I went online and started reading forums and an online version of the user manual for our boiler. Cleaning of the two elements was what seems to have resolved the issues for everyone posting on the forums. Also, this was the official recommendation by the vendor. Nowhere there was it mention that the gas valve control unit needed to be replaced. I then proceeded with several attempts to start the boiler by turning on/off the electric switch and observing what was happening with the thermostat and the pilot light. This is when I realized that I do not see any flame at all coming from the pilot light. I checked on the gas supply and voila - it was in an off position. Turning it on made our boiler happy and it started working again. I was furious. How convenient to turn off the gas supply and tell your customers they needed an expensive work done. I immediately called the company to complain and cancel the order. They were very quick in cancelling the order and ensured me that our check with the deposit will be simply shredded and not deposited. For their customer service I am giving them one star. Bottom line - if you need them to do any maintenance or repairs, make sure you have someone watching the technician closely. read more

One of the biggest mistakes of my life has been using this HVAC company. I will say that they are friendly on the phone and the technicians are polite when they come to my house but that's the only positives I can convey. This company is otherwise horrendous. They flooded my basement a few years ago due to a technician error. They simply offered to pay my deductible for my home owner's insurance and wouldn't pay for the damage themselves. I had to call them dozens of times for my heating and air conditioning units over the years and paid for their maintenance plan each and every year for almost a decade. I try to remain loyal to companies but I made a big mistake with this company. They would charge me a lot to come out and put a Band-Aid fix on things. I finally got tired of the time and expense of constant service calls so I told them to replace all of my heating and air conditioning units so I could get some piece and quiet. It wasn't even a month before I started having problems with my brand new units. They sent techs out multiple times and couldn't figure out why my brand new AC unit was freezing up. The units are not even two years old and I continue to have problems with them. My loyalty has finally reached it's limit and we are looking to replace them. They have literally cost me tens of thousands of dollars and countless hours of aggravation of the years. Even after I told them to replace everything and give me the best equipment possible I continued to have issues. I wish someone could have smacked some sense into me about 7 years ago. read more
