Knabe & Co. baby grand had not been cleaned in decades -- likely since it was built in 1939. Jack Templeton gave it the kind of care and attention it deserved; a meticulous (and miraculous) deep cleaning, a tuning with careful pitch adjustment, and even lubrication of the pedals. Beyond the excellent craftsmanship, he brought a big smile, a friendly tolerance of our nosy golden retriever, and deep knowledge of his craft. It's rare to find someone who combines such expertise with genuine warmth and professionalism. He plays beautifully too. They were able to come the very next morning at 7AM. They lifted the baby grand off the truck no problem (buff dudes) and had it assembled in my conservatory before I had even come downstairs. Reasonably priced too, especially considering how last minute the booking was.
