I am rarely amazed when it comes to food, but here i was amazed. the decor, the service and food were spectacular. my lady ordered the ny strip which was good and i ordered the lamb osso bucco, which i cannot even describe how great it was. starters were short rib, best i ever had and the bruschetta on the best authentic bread. the drinks were strong too. the brocolli rabe was excellent and not bitter. the risotto was just right and the fresh pasta with alfredo was spectacular. this place is a hidden gem, imagine great food that does not involve a trip downtown or to south philly and the parking issues. read more

We ate dinner here last night. Our server was fantastic but the wait for our food was ridiculous and it was not crowded! We had 7 people in our party so it's not like the cooks got slammed. The lobster bisque soup was missing any trace of lobster meat and tasted awful. I sampled my husbands soup because he said it was terrible and sure enough, it was. While a couple in our party enjoyed their meal (salmon, chicken parm, scallops), the rest of us had sea bass (drowned in way too much butter) and steaks that were very fatty. This restaurant is very overpriced for the food that is served. Will never return. read more

Wife and I ate here last night. Jeffrey and Rock are great! Jeffrey gave us suggestions from the menu and none of them disappointed. The scallops were amazing, my wife's steak was cooked to medium rare perfection. My old fashioned was spot on and didn't skimp on the alcohol. The spicy shrimp are delightful and unbreaded (thank goodness). The atmosphere is great. The bathroom was super clean. Before I can get to the attitude of this place. Let me tell you we walk in when there is no one at all -maybe one person and they seat us near the restroom. The waiters couldn't seem to be able to find their way to our table for like half hour. Also it took the staff 40 mins to bring us the food after we ordered. Some of the food was completely cold. Soo... we sat at the bar, and the bartender was obviously on something. Ordered our first drink with no problem, she disappears and comes back frantically cleaning. We order a second round... 10 minutes go by and nothing... she asks us again what can i get you. We reorder our second round for a second time. She kept saying i love you, babe, etc no lie 40 times. To me Parx grill is a wonderful option for a more upscale meal at the casino. I was honestly very surprised both before and after that the place wasn't packed. We were able to walk right in and be seated. The bread basket had an assortment of breads, which we ended up polishing off. The lobster ravioli appetizer we ordered was amazing- I would probably go back just for that, but not share it next time . I ordered the seafood risotto and my boyfriend got the scallop dish, we got a couple sides- which ended up being way too much food. My scallops and lobster in my dish I think had been slightly timed wrong in their cook times (scallops not quite in the pan long enough and lobster a bit over). I'm being a bit nit picky but for a $55 dish it's fair to mention. The potatoes also were a bit undercooked, but I absolutely loved the creamed spinach. Overall though, the dishes were still very good. Another somewhat minor complaint would be there was a pretty long lag between our appetizer and meals, however before we could even ask, the server let us know she was checking on it. Recently had a horrible experience here. Service- We were seated at a table to which none of the servers were apparently assigned. Everyone just kept walking by our table and ignored us. After 15 min, my husband flagged someone down. Host came over, apologized and got our drinks. Food- Definitely not worth the ridiculous prices. My shrimp cocktail was so tough I couldn't chew it. Scallops were ok but definitely not the best I ever had and not at all worth the price $32. It was served with some watery cauliflower that they called "puréed." My husbands $42 filet mignon was a piece of tasteless, stringy meat. Host asked how our food was and he agreed that the meat looked stringy and explained that he appreciated the feedback because they are trying a new meat provider"!! Offered to get something else but we declined. Just wanted to get out. We were offered free dessert. Ambience- sounded like we were eating in the casino game area. Noisy. Very bright lighting. One of the ceiling recessed lights was shining directly on me like a spotlight. I actually brought it to our waiters attention and asked if they could be turned down. He simply said no and walked away. Furnishings look so dated including the fake fish tank on the big "gold" wall! Will not return. For those kind of prices there are soooo many better restaurants. read more

My husband and I had an outstanding meal here. We had the fried calamari for an app, and steak with the lobster mashed potatoes for our entree. What was even better than all the incredible food we had, was our service. Gianna was our waitress and she went above and beyond. Not only did she help us pair an incredible wine to our meal, she was personable and on point. We never had to ask for anything. We will definitely be asking for her to be our server next time we come here, and suggest you do too. read more

Parxgrill is a beautiful and classy restaurant with an amazing staff. We were seated immediately and greeted by our waitress who took our drink order and returned in a flash with our drinks. Our orders were then taken and we waited briefly for our appetizers, and then dinner. The service was fabulous (3 waitress plus ours continued to stop by our table to see if we needed anything: drink refills, extra bread, etc...) They were all wonderful. The food was delicious. Everything that we had ordered, was perfect. So, Kudos to the chef and his staff. The decor is very pretty and classy. We were also seated at a very large and spacious table so for our party of 5 - we all were so comfortable. FYI... it is a bit pricey, so just be prepared but the quality of food and service totally make up for this. read more

How can you have a steak house that can't even cook a steak the way it should be. Long wait for everything also. They need a good chef that's for sure. We had a tremendous meal at Parxgrill. The Sea Bass was the best I have ever eaten. My daughter ordered the filet with bleu cheese crumbles and she loved it. The service by Kaitlyn was excellent. Servers are really rude and walk around like they are there to judge rather than work. The ONLY thing that was good about this place was the food. I guess thats what it should be about anyway. Service sucked, people all around us sucked, and it was crazy depressing. The food was great .The place is in the Parx Casino and they are getting the staff together, but it looks like the place will be more fun once they have more entertainment come in to do shows. The decor in there is fabulous. They had a beautiful wall design and a fireplace thing that looked like you were in the lex Luther's dinning room from superman the food was perfect reasonably priced and cooked to perfection I had braised beef the meat was delicious so tender and juicy and my friend had the salmon everything was perfect and the price was so inexpensive I will defintley check it out again soon to see how things are after they have been open for a little while longer. read more

A really good steak house is a little pricey. No way around it. The question becomes, "is it worth it?". In the case of Parx Grill, it is. I had the 8 oz filet and the lady had the scallops. The filet was tender, flavorful and grilled perfectly to the desired medium rare. The scallops were perfectly prepared as well. The side of onion rings was among the best I've had. The service was impeccable and friendly. And what's nice about eating at a nice casino restaurant, you're always dressed properly as long as you're not in cut offs. read more

Located in Parx Casino, the service was beautiful just like the decor around the restaurant. I ordered the New York steak , it was marinated and cooked so nicely that the knife was cutting the steak like butter. It was the first time I finished the steak. The mash potato was like something bought from Walmart it tasted so sad. The gravy was very bland no taste. There fries looked like hay and evn tasted like hay. After making our "contribution" at Parx Yesterday, we tried Parxgrill. The casino's "higher" end restaurant. Surprisingly, the prices were not outrageous. This was the most overstaffed, lousy service we ever saw., I had a delicious iceberg wedge with ample toppings ($15) and a lump crab meat cocktail ($15) Very good but not much crab. Wife enjoyed her Chicken Marsala ($26). Does anyone know the 3-6 people are looking at on the hostess stands computer? they could have been playing games for all we know :) ... and the guy that delivered our food said absolutely NOTHING as I said thank you, he made every effort not to make eye contact.. My wife and I have been going to Parx Grill for over year now, and I think it's about time I give them their props! we love to just stop in for appetizers and drinks. Try to get there at least once a month for dinner. The service is fantastic, the wait staff all work as a team, so someone is always available if you need them. We consider it casual fine dining and it is the best in the area. From the appetizers to the salads to the entrées, everything that we have ever ordered has been phenomenal. We highly recommend to anyone just for drinks and appetizers or a full dinner. They usually have dinner specials we had one for $40 for a full course meal. Went to Parx grill tonight & was not pleased. I ordered Filet Minion medium & it came out rare. I cut into it & it was bloody. The waiter took it back & brought it back with less meat on the plate, the outside of the steak was burnt & still not cooked. I took one more bite & didn't couldn't eat any more because it was mushy. The waiter saw I didn't eat it. At that point one would think the manager would have come out but no one addressed it. Worst meal ever. Parx should not be in the restaurant business. read more

Pleasantly surprised! My husband wanted to celebrate a job offer with steak and scotch and this was a 1000 pt table opentable. The scotch was very reasonably priced and our calamari and salad were actually really good. The steaks were cooked perfectly though they were served on scalding hot plates which continued to cook the meat. You should skip dessert though. The cheesecake was not good read more
