Ugh, I was to late for the cheese bread. Should have known as they're alway so good. Every time I'm in Vegas, this place is always a must before heading home. Of course I forget that you have to get there early before the bread sells out. It's something about the fresh baked loaf that's stuffed with mozzarella cheese. Basically cheese and bread is a match made in heaven. They normally have it first thing and tends to sell out a couple hours later. Sometimes they have extra batches but majority once it's gone, it's gone. I remember speaking to someone a while back where they said u could preorder. I've never done that but maybe it's the way to go so I can secure the goods. Besides the bread, they have a nice display case of amazing pastries and other baked goods. Candies and sweets are also available as well as empanadas. The weekend does get quite busy as well as the morning. We popped in just around 1:30 and majority of the cases were already empty. It was slim pickings in what was left so I had to make do. Of course it just makes the next trip worth it, hopefully. Also it's in a strip mall that's off the main strip. From the entrance, to the inside area, the decor was done great. Don't be fooled by their size, they offer a variety of pastries to try. The servers were very helpful in explaining the items to us. Everything was made fresh. What we really liked was their prices. Most pasteurized were just over $2, but there were some that only cost $1. We tried three different ones but our favorites met was their pasaboca guava y queso pastry. Sweet filling, but balances with the bread and cheese. They will see me at this place again. read more

Wow!!! I saw this when it opened but I wasn't well versed on Colombian food so I wasn't sure what to order. I knew pastries but I just kinda forgot. Well I was going to go to another spot in the same plaza but it looked closed so I drove around and locked eyes with Pasabocas so it was time to try Colombian food! It's so cute inside! I felt like I was transported to South America! I was greeted by a friendly person explained well on me ordering. I had a breakfast plate, scrambled eggs with tomatoes and onions that was so light and fluffy. Great flavor and it comes with a soft roll. I ordered the specialty bread and it had guava inside. Those were warm and delicious! I had a vanilla latte which was perfect! Looking forward to a weekly run here for breakfast! read more

It was my first time visiting this cafe/bakery and I would highly recommend it. The employee who helped me was very welcoming and helpful. She explained the different types of Colombian breads and gave me recommendations. The prices were also very good and the everything was delicious including the Colombian coffee that was less than $3! Other cafes for tourists charge $8 for coffee. In my opinion, this is the best Colombian bakery in North America. I have been coming here for years and it continues to exceed expectationsp. I travel and attempt to eat in Colombian restaurants in Florida, the Northeast & California. No other place has the value and freshness of the Bunelos, Pandebono, Conchas, Arequipe/Guayaba pastries. Tulio lo recomenda should do a story on this family. It should be featured and appreciated within our community as a must place visit when stopping in Sin City. The only downside is the limited menu and nearby homeless population. I hope they expand our move to another location. read more

This place is a gem! We stopped by after lunch since we were in the area. One thing you need to get - Bunuelos! OMG they bake them fresh all day I believe, we had to wait 10 min for them but it was so worth it. I have attached a picture of it cut in half, but these are perfectly sized fried/baked balls, and just mind-blowingly delicious. It's not super sweet, but sweet enough and I think I can eat 5 of these. It's so good and the coffee is really affordable too. What a gem inside the run down Commercial Center! Such a cute local Colombian spot. I love the flair inside. I ordered two pandebonos, one buñuelo, an order of huevos pericos, and a vanilla iced coffee. All of this for just $13! What a deal. I didn't know what a pandebono was, but I highly recommend this bread item; I enjoyed the subtle cheese taste and light texture. The buñuelo was also light and airy with a bit of sweet. I was pleasantly surprised with how flavorful and aromatic the eggs were, and the roll that came with it... chef's kiss. Fresh, warm, and perfectly chewy. I might even say that was my favorite thing. The vanilla iced latte was pretty basic, but you can't beat the value. It was a pretty good size for just $3.50! Totally worth it. Everyone behind the counter was friendly and ready to help. Visiting LV for the 10th time and this time I decided to explore places that are not in high tourist areas. I took a bus and walked in 90 degree weather for this place and it was WORTH IT. They have a variety of pastries and savory foods. The Bunuelos are yummy, but my favorite was this puff pastry situation with Dulce de Leche and salted cheese. I also loved the beef and potato empanada made with corn. (They also have flour empanadas.) Cute little spot with lots of people coming in! read more

The best Colombian bunuelos! Not to be confused with the flat crispy discs of cinnamon sugar bunuelos. If you're not familiar with the Colombian version you gotta try these! I've tried many over the years but this one is the best by far. Go for the dozen if they're not sold out. You'll crave them after you've driven off and down the blvd wishing you went for the dozen. It does contain dairy so pop a lactose if you need to. Kinda in a no man's land plaza but once you enter the parking lot stick towards the right side of shops down the center strip. You'll see the orange brick roofing and the bright and colorful patio table set up. Service was welcoming and super friendly. Inside tables, display cases of traditional Colombian pastries. Maybe next time I'll try those but we came for the bunuelos! read more

You must try the bread here it is cheese fritters bunelos cheese fritters. You don't see the cheese just so soft and chewy very good. I also tried the caramel cookies to die for this place closes at 6 PM. This Colombian bakery is a hidden gem!. I ordered it over the phone and it was amazing. I did not know that they would have coconut caramel cookies so very good. What a delightful spot for Colombian Pastries. I had these at a meeting once, and since I was in the area visiting my other sites, I decided to stop by for pastries and tasted the flour beef Empanada. I ordered Bunuelo, Beef Empanada, and a few other pastries, but Bunuelo was the best. What is Bunuelo? It's a fried dough fritter made with cheese. This spot is cute, and I love the decor. Came here for the first time this past weekend for breakfast. This colombian bakery came up on my Instagram feed and I've been wanting to check it out. So glad I did. This place was very nice and welcoming and the workers were super friendly, even with the language barrier. Plenty of seating. Also from the time we got there till the time we left there was a constant flow of people coming in. They have so many different pastries and breads to choose from. I had the Bunuelos, Pandebono con Bocadillo, and the Pan Breva. The pastries were all fresh and delicious. I also had a Caramel latte with soy milk to dunk my Bunuelos in :) I also ordered some empanadas de trigo and de maiz to go! They were delicious as well and very flavorful, especially with the side of sauce they came with! Definitely want to come back again to try the Tamales. They looked huge! read more

It's a nice local restaurant that is mostly known Spanish-speaking by locals. It has good homestyle Colombian breakfast, lunch and desserts/pastries at inexpensive prices. It's great value for almost anything you order. It's a taste of Columbia, speaking Spanish is helpful, but their signs have English in the fine print. read more

For the last 5 year, I have come to this bakery at least 2x a year and even with family and friends. Every time we go, we would get at least 4 dozens of goodies to take back to CA. There's always been 2 older ladies that work there with great smiles and attitude and friendly. However this visit was disappointing. I texted and left a voicemail and attempted to message on IG about this issue, but to discover mold in the breads and how it doesn't taste as fresh was so disappointing. Service is always great but quality control is not. We have always gotten fresh bread as well but it was warm and soft even though the notice was short. I don't know what happened this time around. Will I come back and give it another at my next visit? Maybe. Also I have noticed the over the years, the shopping center have gone ghost town. Sad and disappointed. They have good bread. But customer service not so good. I walk in wanting to buy 15 round donuts. The guy tells me we can't make any fresh because we still have some left. I tell them how long ago did they come out he said 1hr ago. Is that fresh for anybody ? NO. Keep in mind they are individual so they can cook one at a time if they wanted to. A day before I walk in and same guy tells me they stop making them fresh before 5. I get there at 2:30 and he tells me that bs. They had zero customers. He had a bad attitude which made it worst. A minimal language barrier, but it doesn't stop the ol' point and nod in the bakery portion. The savory goods are freaking delicious and should always be procured. Came here for breakfast, while visiting Vegas. It's located in strip mall. The kids wanted some sweet pastry items, so we loaded up on those. All were delicious. The sweet lady behind the counter gave me a bunuelo to try, since I never had one and they were delicious!!! Freshly made in the back. I had to buy a whole bag of them. The bakery has tables and chairs to dine in and also some games for the kids. They were entertained while I was waiting for my coffee and fresh bunuelos. As we mourn the loss of the old Sausagefest, we can all find comfort in the fact that the space has not gone to waste! Pasabocas bakery has a warm and inviting feel in this Commercial Center location, and I couldn't be more pleased. I'm not that familiar with Colombian food, but WOWZA those baked goods are to die for! My first time having an Bunuelo and it was outstanding. I would describe it as a mix of a doughnut and fry bread with a pinch of heaven thrown in. I could probably eat those by the dozen! I hear they are Gluten Free too so we won't be bloated after eating our weight in them! The Churro is like a yeasty fluffy croissant that has dulche inside of it! Ugh I can't wait to try the rest of my haul. The service was great. I don't speak Spanish, but I wasn't uncomfortable to be there, and the girl who helped me indulged my questions on pronuciation of the breads I got. The prices are super reasonable and the wifi is fast. They have games and comfortable chairs for people to spend a bit of time there. I think I've found my new weekend laptop work spot! read more

It's a cute place. This is our 2nd time this week. The bread is good. They use yuca root blended with cheese. We tried the huevos pericos, it's nice and light. Very simple. We got a few of the Almojabana and Pandebono. We also got one with guava, I didn't get the name, but that was my favorite! Service is good! They're quick to take your order when you enter, and if you order food, it's quick. I'm not sure what's in the coffee, but that had me wired all day! The prices are decent and affordable. I randomly came across this bakery while searching for new spots. I love Colombian food so I was intrigued when I saw photos of their pastries. I stopped by one morning before leaving town. It was definitely the cherry on top of an excellent trip. They have a variety of sweet and savory pastries. Some breads are filled with cheese and others with fruit preserves. I've had huevos pericos at a different restaurant and love them, so I had to order them here. I also got an iced latte as well as a hot chocolate. Oh, and I had to try their strawberry refresher. Honestly I tried everything and it was so delicious! I had to visit the next time I was in town and ordered other items, like their tamale and other pastries. My experiences here have always been great - not just with food, but also with a very friendly staff. I am definitely not expert on Colombian cuisine or their pastries, but as an accidental "tourist" that stumbled upon this new establishment in that giant plaza famous for Lotus of Siam, here is my stab at a wordy review. The bakery is surprisingly spacious inside, with tables and seatings spread out comfortably. The tables all have some kind of games for guests that are here to hang out. I only know the Jenga, but there is a game called Rummikub at the table I sat at, and Mancala at another, both games that I am unfamiliar with. Anyway, I have never been to a Colombian bakery before, and decided to check them out. I took a look at their menu, as well as, the baked goods in their display, which are filled with items I am clueless about. The cashier was friendly and briefly explained them to me. Empanadas was not one of the items on their menu or on display, so I was a little disappointed, but asked if they have empanadas just in case. Turns out they have 5 baking in the oven almost ready to come out!!! It was meant to be mine. Years ago I had the best empanadas while in Lima, Peru. It was from some grocery store, probably high end one, since it was near the beach in a upscale tourist area that have Dunkin' Doughnuts, Hard Rock Cafe (maybe even a Hooters), and many mall retail brands Americans would be familiar with plus it looks like it would fit right in in Santa Monica, CA. Oh yeah, about the empanadas from Peru that I still have fond memories of, even after 15 years. It was so good that I bought 2 more to eat on the plane. And I crave it that much more, because Peru "TSA" made me throw them away at airport security check, because I couldn't explain what it was to them when it got flagged going through the x-ray machine. The Beef Empanadas served here is pretty good, the pastry crust is not too thick or chewy, and eating just minutes after it came out of the oven made the experience that much more delightful. The Pandebono con Guayaba, Colombian Cheese Bread with Guava Paste, is also pretty good. The cheese bread reminds me of the ones served at Texas de Brazil, which would be an awesome snack on its own, but with sweetness from the guava paste inside.
