Service was great, but unfortunately, the food fell a little flat for me. I felt like it wasn't seasoned at all! I probably will not be back.

Nice and quiet dinner time here. Service was friendly and fast. The calamari tasted wonderful. The summer rolls were also delightful. The tables were made of hand carved wood and interesting.

The ambiance of this restaurant is very nice - perfect for any occasion from family get-together, colleagues or even for date night. I ordered pad Thai and it was lackluster. The flavor was lacking, the spice was lacking and key ingredients like tofu/bean curd were lacking. The staff seemed nice in terms of the service. You are really paying for the ambiance at this place.

One of the best Thai food restaurants in the area. This place is quiet most evenings in this sleepy pocket of Old Town. The service is always fantastic. Don't miss the chili paste fried rice and very well made Thai soups. Most of the entrées have generous portions for dinner sizes. The cocktails are good too. I can't recommend it enough.

The food here is always super delicious. The staff is friendly and services pretty quick. Warning the mild is not very mild haha. Also good cocktails

We were out in the Kingstowne area and decided in sine Thai. Really enjoyed the food and the server was very attentive. The restaurant was decorated nicely. It was a pleasant surprise really enjoyed it definitely will be back.

I haven't visited Pasara since prior to Covid and I always got the pineapple fried rice. This was the first thing I ordered and its still just as great! We also ordered the crispy salmon which was amazing and I would definitely recommend. The spring rolls were just ok and I ordered ginger tea which was good but a little lukewarm. I would still recommend based on the main entree, the outstanding customer service and the cleanliness of the restaurant.

BLUF - This is a go-to place for the family. Overall quality of vegetables and meat outstanding. Crunch on broccoli, onion, pepper, compliments softened core. Staff timely and considerate. Details - Ask if you want to deviate from menu they will accommodate. Chef's skill at meeting spicy expectations is excellent and they do not overcook the dish which is refreshing and doesn't rob nutrients from the dish. Good for family and friends.

Ok food but not going to bring me back. It's very nice inside and could be a date place if ambiance is more important than the food There's free parking nearby which is nice and the service is great, but found the food (entree) underwhelming. The crispy spring rolls were pretty good. The Tom Kha soups were absolutely delicious and I therefore thought the main meals would be equally delicious, but weren't. My wife had pad Thai, which was very sweet, and not in a good way. My drunken spaghetti (which was recommended) was average in flavor and had no spice to it.

Mediocre Thai joint with bland food and sub par customer service. We went before the dinner rush on a weekend, there were at least three waiters and about four or five parties at best. We ordered our food but the waitress misunderstood and failed to check with us. She brought the wrong appetizer and then tried to insist she was right. A summer roll is not the same as egg/spring roll. She also didnt check on us and instead was busy chatting away with her colleagues- not something to do when dinner rush is underway. Fried rice and green curry very run of the mill and lacked authentic flavor. Will not be my regular go to thai place. Quality degraded over the last decade and not the Thai place I frequented 15yrs ago.

Outstanding taste, texture, and spice in their Pork Pad Thai! We normally order closer to DC but Pasara gets it right.

They walked us to our table and was so accommodating. On an extremely hot day like today (103F) it was refreshing to walk into a nice cool and nicely lit and decorated place. It was very relaxing. The parking was off the street and is free for 2 hours. There were plenty of spots available just at the front of the restaurant. We ordered the Whole Fried Flounder and the Massaman Curry with shrimp and for dessert the Magnolia Creme Crepe. I am partial to good Crepe dessert... and this place offered different selection. A plus! The food was freshly prepared and was very tasty. I would recommend trying this place out. You will not be disappointed.

Today, I tried the Pik Khing with beef. This is one of my go to entrees at any Thai place. Great flavors here to include a nice medium spice flavor. I have tried the Panang Curry with chicken. Very good. Normal spicy is probably too mild for me. Good flavors. I like to get a side of broccoli to add more veggies to the dish. It comes with broccoli already but I like a little more. Oh, and the decor is really nice. Love the designs inside. Very cool. Give them a try!

For us, we were talking to an artist in the Torpedo Art Studio in Old Town Alexandria, admiring the work he did. It got then we started talking about lunch as he was from Hong Kong. He mentioned we go across the street and try something he liked as it was something he would have back home. So, taking his advice we walked across the street and went to Mai Thai. It was a good suggestion. We went in and had a seat. Our waitress (a wonderful woman from Guam) gave some advice and we to some time to think. In the end we decided to start with Spring Rolls. This is the freshest sliced roll of crispy veggie combinations of lettuce, celery, mixed veggies wrapped in a thin wrap and served with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. It was truly fresh and tasty. The dipping sauce was unique and made this worth a meal by itself. Then, being a cold day outside, soup seemed to be a good thing for lunch. We selected some traditional bowls of soup. First was TOM KA. It was a combination of vegetables and tofu in a coconut broth with mushrooms and fresh herbs. The soup had a tint of white. It was light and tasty. It was at a room temperature which is the way you have soup in Thailand. It was refreshing and light. Next we had TOM YUM. This is a combination made from slices of chicken in a lemongrass soup with fresh mushrooms, cilantro, scallions, galangal, kaffir-lime leaves, and Thai spices. The broth was light and traditional. If you wanted more spice our hostess brought it to you. Again, this was the way I had it when I was working in the rural areas of Thailand. Nothing fancy. Nothing simple. It was true home cooking that was served to you in a method truly Thai. The lunch was simple, but the way you would eat in Thailand. The taste and flavor was what to expect. The team is wonderful and friendly. The price was fine. It was good to find Mai Thai. And maybe being told about it from an artists does make it true to say that "Art is in the eye (and mouth) of the beholder."

Was seated by a delightful young lady, and found the decor and layout to be quite pleasing; modest by elegant. As for the fare, it was indeed quite worth the walk. Ordered a bowl of Tom Yum and the Pad Thai Mun Goong. The Tom Yum was solid and quite flavorful, a flux of tangy lemongrass with the oniony sweetness of steeped scallions, and enoki mushrooms to provide some heartiness. The Pad Thai Mun Goong was a chef specialty pad Thai made with stir fried rice noodle, prawns shrimp tomalley oil (a crucial element for this version), egg and bean sprouts, naturally topped with green onions, peanuts and a lime for squeezing, and this also was quite phenomenal. Savory, sweet, a little tingle of sourness from the citrus in the mid-palate, and the juicy, briny shrimp balancing the dense carbs and rich flavorful sauce. All-in-all, I was well pleased this visit. As this is Padaek's second location, I hope they don't expand too much further/quickly and compromise on quality.
