For a quick and healthy lunch I stopped by Mediterranean Spice and order their chicken shawarma sandwich. It was delicious with moist and seasoned chicken, lettuce, tomato, and their house garlic sauce. The bread was warm, fresh, and the perfect texture to hold everything together in a wrap. Service was fast and friendly. The ambiance is spartan but clean and functional. If you enjoy Mediterranean food, stop by to support this independent business!

Chicken souvlaki (kebabs) is well-seasoned, but has been dry twice that we've ordered

Well, it's tarnished since 11/2024. What was a 5 star perfect experience, has diminished so much so that my gf doesn't want to go anymore. I still have hope it will return to glory. I've been 6 or so times, and nothing has been the same. Abdul, the owner, is delightful. He is the same great guy. But... * The are often out of the beautiful Chicken Shawarma, you have to get to Med Spice early. * The beef Shawarma is just not as good, and gristly * Chicken souvlaki (kebabs) is well-seasoned, but has been dry twice Overall, the rating deserves a 3.5 star, but I just got have to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Food is great! Service is great . The bathroom needs attention. It was a great vibe and the eating area is clean.

One of THE BEST mediterranean restaurants I've ever eaten at. We stumbled upon this place while looking for a casual dinner in downtown Paso Robles. Most of the restaurants have extremely long wait times and are more steak and wine bar vibes than what we were looking for. This was meant to be. We walked in and beat the dinner rush. For starters, french fries (because my husband orders them everywhere), mozzarella sticks (not mediterranean, just comfort food. LOL), and a greek salad to share. For entrees, chicken shawarma platter, mixed grill platter (lamb, beef, chicken kebabs), and kofta kebab - the platters are jam packed with flavors, comes with rice, pita, hummus, roasted veggies, and cucumber/tomato salad. Their food here is really really good. Great bang for your buck as well. One of the more affordable options in Paso Robles. Another highlight is their self serve condiment bar - onions with sumac, pickled turnip, garlic sauce, spicy garlic sauce, pickles, and tahini. Self serve GARLIC SAUCE? No place has ever been that generous with garlic sauce AND pickled turnip. Lol. Great service. Huge dining room. We all enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend this place.

This place is bright, clean, with plenty of seating. You walk up to order. Get a number, sit down, then wait for your food. When I came it was lunchtime and from ordering to getting my food it took 25 min. The staff was nice but that day seemed overwhelmed. They have a condiment bar. The garlic sauce is quite yummy and LOVE the pickled turnips! I got the gyro which was very tasty. I will return but not when I only have a 30 minute lunch break. It is worth going!

Food was great. I had the grilled veggie salad and added gyro meat and a side of tzatziki. The order taker didn't tell me that it already came with a side of tzatziki so I ended up with two. It wasn't my favorite tzatziki because it had mint in it. The veggie salad had zucchini, onion, red pepper, feta, salad. I liked the condiment bar where you could add onions, garlic sauce, pimento sauce, etc. The restaurant is very clean. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. There is indoor and outdoor dining. Prices are fair.

Located slightly on the outskirts of downtown Paso is this great Greek influenced Mediterranean restaurant. The food is as pictured - fresh, vibrant, made to order. We were the only patrons so it was nice to have the space to ourselves. There was nothing short of flavor as we demolished our plates - every single one of us!! What I appreciated was a self service bar for garlic paste, onions / parsley, pickles, and other compliments for our dishes. Water was readily available, also at the self service station. This is a place to keep in mind when many places in the area require advance reservations or close early-ish.

This "space" has had quite a few lives, none of which lived very long. I had to venture in to see for myself who and what we have here today. Just a block away from the action and walk in traffic, they're going to need some great food, and great service to survive. Thought I'd watch the opening game of the World Series but the tv's don't have the subscription to the network airing the game. So let's see the family owned and operated business defiantly reflects the Mediterranean based on menu choices and of course with an American taste. I'm in...let's order Greek salad with a lemon dressing and a small 10" thin crust pizza with pepperoni. I ordered at the counter and the food is delivered to your table. Food was out to me in a reasonable time, about 18 minutes. The food was delivered to my table, both the salad and pizza. The pizza crust could have been pulled out of the oven a few minutes sooner, ok I'm in for crunch...the salad was of good size in a 10" bowl. Fresh and crispy romaine lettuce, plenty of tomatoes, red onion, cucumbers and some pitted olives & cubed feta cheese. The dressing was quite tasty. The pizza was good, plenty of cheese and good pepperoni coverage. I enjoyed my dinner $30 bucks is the going price these days. Would I return? ah maybe but there are other places I've yet to review so...no Thanks for listening Foodguy-martn

    Chicken Shawarma Plater
    Chris W.

Fairly average Mediterranean food, seems like they are specializing in pizzas. Ordered the chicken shawarma platter - the bread pieces were good and very thin, chicken was ok, but the vegetables tasted old. Given how empty the place was our food came out quite slowly. Also, the tap water was murky and tasted weird.

Mediterranean food is one of my favorite foods but when I tell you the spot is official, you will want to come here. I didn't want a whole platter usually I get a full plate so I decided to try the Gyro M the bread they use for the Gyro is phenomenal. Has such great flavors and you can taste the clean fresh taste on each bite I will definitely be back to try one of their platters.

The food was delicious and freshly made. I had the mixed veggie mezze plate. Each item was well prepared and it was plenty of food. The items were reasonably priced as well. Location is central.

Gyro salad with a side of Spanakopita.

But if you're planning a visit, build in serious buffer time. We stopped in on Memorial Day and, with several parties ahead of us in line, didn't place our order until nearly 20 minutes after arriving. By the 45-minute mark, our food still hadn't come out for two paninis and a soup. What made it especially frustrating was watching parties who arrived after us get their cheese orders and drinks served before anyone had even started assembling our sandwiches. It was clear the shop was understaffed for the holiday weekend, with one person managing the counter and another in the back prepping. We ended up asking to take the sandwiches cold just to get out the door, only to have both stuffed into one small bag, sloppily wrapped. The soup, unfortunately, came out lukewarm regardless. None of this felt malicious. The shop has an unhurried, artisanal quality that's part of its appeal, but that can't fully account for the gap between the experience and a nearly hour-long wait for a simple lunch order while others moved ahead of us. Come for the cheese, come for the atmosphere. Just don't come hungry with anywhere to be.
