We visited this past weekend and I never thought I would be a fan of port but they have very good port here. The labels also have a pretty cool story behind them. Off the beaten path but worth the drive (be careful though, 1 lane road to 2 way traffic). This place does wines, ports and liqueurs. We did the tasting where you can choose from wines and ports. Your tasting fee is waived with the purchase of a bottle. Although I wouldn't say this place is good for kids (small location) everyone here was wonderful. We had our 3 year old an the girls were great and welcoming. There are 2 very cool dogs as well. read more

This was our last stop for the day. The winery is in a very cute barn. We tried the wines and some ports. One of the servers was really friendly and she was very welcoming. The others just stared at us. We came with a group of about 10 and were a little late for our reservation. They had originally told us $5 per person for tasting. However, when we go there one lady said it was free. Then another lady came and said no that wasn't right. She said we had to buy a bottle and then they would waive the tasting fees. There weren't many of us who were tasting so we ended up having to pay more by buying a bottle than the original $5 per person. The bathrooms are not nice so hold it until you get somewhere else. Overall, it was agreed this was our least favorite stop. read more

We love Paso Port! So much so we joined their wine club a few years ago. The tawny port is wonderful, I could drink it every day. Every time we visit, Lola treats us as though we're friends. Wonderful family owned and run winery with excellent ports which are not always easy to find. They also have some nice wines and spirits!

You cannot beat Pasoport for some fantastic port wines. Even better is the tasting hostess, Xochitl (pronounced "Soshi"). Fun, knowledgeable,, willing to give you a little extra pour if you need help making a decision...and she is even sweeter than the wines themselves. Ask her for some tastes off of the printed list, like the 2007 Violeta or the 2009 Zin. Fantastic. Definitely worth a trip up the windy, hilly driveway. read more

Love Love Love the ports! There are ports and then there are Paso Ports. I'm always on the lookout for a great port in the area and this place does not disappoint. Lola and Sochi (probably not spelled right but...) made me feel right at home the very first time I visited. I've since visited a couple more times and each time is more enjoyable than the last. Worst tasting of the day! The port tasted ok but the service was horrible! I felt like our pourer hated her job and wished she was anywhere but interacting with visitors at the tasting room. SO lame. Don't waste your time! Go to Roxo instead for ports. They actually appreciate your visit! read more

Liked their ports better then the wines. We bought two of them. I thought they were a little over priced, in Livermore you can get better port for a lot less money. Really interesting place to go visit though. The tasting room was rustic and full of personality. read more

Great Wine and Great People!!! I came here on the recommendation of a friend who raved about the Lola Port wine - being a Lola myself I felt inclined to give it a try. The port was great but to my surprise they made regular wine and brandy.... The wine was beautiful - the varietal types were unique and each wine was drinkable now or for holding. I bought a bottle of the Four Hearts and will be reordering a case to ship home. It is a great blend and at Lola's suggestion with grilled meats its a WINNER!!! I can't wait to head back up to Paso and make a special trip just to see Lola and taste great wine. If it means anything - I am a red wine drinker and like big - chewy - wines - The Four Hearts was a blend of Zinfandel - Petite Syrah and Tempernillo - the wine maker Steve came from Justin and I say - Sorry for Justin - Great for Paso Port!! read more

Well, we were a little shocked when the employee- a young woman with medium brown hair in a ponytail- SHOUTED at us "CLOSE THE DOOR!!!!!!" when we entered the tasting room for the very first time. WOW!!! She needs a six month course at charm school.....We humbly explained there was one more person right behind us in our group, She saw this and then just pretended as if nothing happened. WTF???? She was what I would consider rude or unfriendly. Is she the daughter of the vintner and can't be gotten rid of? She has no business working behind the counter. Well anyway, another, nice- also young- woman with curly dark brown hair and big brown eyes started her shift and she was friendly and knowledgeable. She took us to the other side where the distillery is and we had a taste of the Walnut and Orange liquors which were delicious. Not sure if I'll go again or not. On our very first venture into Paso Robles wine country and we had no idea where we were. Driving through the beautiful scenery with our friends we saw an enticing and inviting sign with a 50's era pin up gal drawn on it and an arrow pointing ahead. A loud roar grew up in our backseat as all of us said loudly "follow that sign!" in unison. We followed these pretty ladies up a twisty little hilltop to a scenic overlook and a tiny tasting room that appeared to specialize in Port! My Boyfriend and I are HUGE sweet wine drinkers, and while most of the time we are the odd ones out here we knew here we'd be truly welcome. The nice woman invited us in and allowed us to taste the fruitful and warming ports. She then told us that she and the winemaker were married and they lived on the happy little hilltop house right next door to the tasting room. Nice commute! We were filled with wonderful port and conversation and were about to wrap up when she informed us they didn't even charge for tastings! In retrospect I should have bought a bunch of port from her because it was delicious, she was nice, and I cant stop thinking about it and her fun pin up gal drawings. Do check this place out especially if you are on the hunt for the sweet wines in Paso. read more

We found a hidden gem at Paso Port / Per Caso / Pendray's Distillery tasting room! They are known for their Port (which are fantastic!), but they also have amazing Wines and delicious Spirits on site. They had something for everyone! The tasting room is charming and inviting, the views are wonderful. You can sit outside on the patio and take the entire experience in. The team behind the counter are a very happy crew, engaging, knowledgeable about the wines and know the story behind the brand. The owns/winemaker (Lola and Steve) and team ensured our experience with their products and tasting room was top notch, and it was!! We felt so welcomed. Of course we left with several bottles, new found friends and we will be recommending this tasting room to everyone!! The Ports, Wines, Spirits and team are ALL first-rate!! You don't want to miss this tasting room on your trip to Paso Robles for sure!!!!!!! read more

If you want some great port and some of the NICEST people in the wine business you need to come here. The road to get there is a bit narrow, so please be careful, but the view from the top is gorgeous looking out over some rolling hills and vineyards. Prices are reasonable and the tasting room can be a bit small but these folks have fun events; BBQ's, truffle pairings, and holiday get togethers that a lot of larger wineries could learn from. Give them a try and you'll not soon regret it. read more
