Maybe the worst manicure pedicure experience i've ever had. I called ahead to make an appointment because I knew I had to get in and out quickly (we were having our wedding pictures taken that day), they said they could do an express manicure and pedicure at the same time in under 20 or 30 minutes which sounded great! I got there early to the appointment just in case because and they started 20 minutes earlier than my original appointment time. the pedicure was fine but the manicure was terrible! i wear my nails natural with traditional polish and she scraped the regular non-gel nail polish off with a nail file instead of using nail polish remover (my nails are ruined and are flaking and breaking already). she filed and scraped one hand for 30 minutes (the full time it took me to get a pedicure) at this point we had 30 minutes til i had to leave and i told her i need to leave soon. she then moved me to a manicure station where she proceeded to scrape and file the same hand for another 15 minutes. she also stepped on my new painted toe nails under the manicure station so the other woman had to come redo that. but either way i had my nails done last week there wasn't that much to do in terms of filing (certainly not 45 minutes worth on one hand). i told her again "i have to leave soon", at this point she has been giving me a simple polish change manicure for over 45 minutes and hasn't even clipped cuticles or put polish on. at this point i'm freaking out, i still have to go home get ready for this shoot. i tell her again please just put polish on. eventually she does but continues to file and clip over the wet polish smudging it. i was there for something like an hour and 15 minutes and left with wet nails because there was no time to dry them and they smudged in the car. i left nearly in tears bc of the terrible service and also the fact it took over an hour when i was told 20-30 minutes at most. my nails are damaged and it was a huge waste of money (bc i still tipped over 20%). absolutely ridiculous. pedicure was fine though. read more

There were two men helping me. One of the men, the one who was taking care of my finger nails, was not kind. He was arrogant and dismissive. After 10 minutes or so, I asked him if I could turn on the massage chair. He grudgingly agreed, but told me to keep it on "low" because it was distracting for him. You will just have to walk a little further. Ambiance: This was your typical nail shop ambiance. There were a lot of color options, they offered wine upon arrival, and they were able to seat me right away. The noise level was a little high, however, it was fairly busy since it was a Friday evening after work. Although it was nice, this is not an upscale establishment and should not be charging upscale spa prices. Price: As for the prices, they are charging way too much. I was charged $40 for an acrylic fill with black gel polish. No design. She had to fix the polish on two of my nails before leaving because it was uneven and poorly polished. 3 days later, the polish has already started lifting. Definitely not worth $40. After my disappointing experience at my regular salon, I decide to research and hunt for a new salon. Now, I'm VERY particular about my nails and I wanted to try liquid gel overlays on my natural nails. After reading the great reviews about Passion Nails, I stopped by today. After trying to find parking, I stepped into the salon and was pleasantly surprised. The size is great and they have LOTS of stations available. 8 manicure stations and 8 pedicure chairs. The color selection was enormous. They carry the top line polishes (Essie, OPI etc.)I also noticed that the salon was VERY clean. The technicians disinfected the pedicure stations right after finishing their clients, and they use the autoclave sterilizer. Marla at Passion Nails welcomed me and pampered my tender fingers with care. I got gel overlay (the real gel, not powder) on my natural nails so the procedure was a bit long, but I expected it. The ambiance is calming. There is soft music playing in the background and the decor is serene. Prices were a bit more than my previous salon, but it's well worth it. Oh, and they did offer me a drink :-). What a wonderful experience. read more

I took my daughter there today to get her toes painted while I got a fill-in. Well it was the worse experience in regards to the boss being rude and unprofessional. While Tony was quickly seated to do my nails, my daughter was made to wait. As he was he doing my nails, I watched people come in and the boss continued to seat them and start their service. I counted at least 10 people who came in and they all passed my daughter by. This continued until I voiced my concern to Tony who was unaware that he was supposed to paint my daughter's nails. Tony even said the boss forgot but that was not true because he asked me again what my daughter wanted again. I also asked how much everything cost and no one told me until I got to the register. I have never gone to a salon where my daughter and I are not serviced together. She should have been done first because all she was receiving was a toe nail polish. So at the last minute as he was finishing my nails, he jumped up and did my daughter's nails. I do not appreciate my daughter being ignored and not given services when we there first. I believe the boss owes me and my daughter an apology. My daughter was not rude nor running around the salon. She sat in the chair playing with her tablet until Tony called her. Reduced it to 1, because they refused to honor their yelp discount for me when I checked out, But they let my friend, who is a woman, use it right before me. Also, they can never seem to figure out their parking situation. One day they validate parking, and the next they are unable to. I really battle with how many stars to give this place because on one hand, the technicians are wonderful and do a great job. HOWEVER, the owner is consistently rude and treats his customers and employees so poorly that it often makes me not want to give them my business at all. Today I saw Henry for SNS and Diane for my pedi and they did a great job, per usual. But when I went to check out and get my parking validated (they have signs posted all over that say they will validate parking in Inman park--which is usually $6-8--for any service over $50). I spent $90 today and the owner very rudely just told me "we ran out of parking tickets" then snubbed me and turned away. No apology, no offer to take the cost of parking off my ticket price, no attempt to explain the situation or find another way to accommodate my parking as promised. This man is so rude and really makes me want to never support his business again, even though I've been a regular customer for years. I will probably try the nail salon across the street next time. I have been getting SNS with Mai for months and she is awesome!! I was sad to hear that she has left the salon, but decided to give Kim a chance. Big mistake. I chose a pretty merlot color powder, and she used a light pink. I thought it was the base color. When she told me she was done, I asked about the color. She realized she messed up. The manager came over and told me he would re-do my nails later. I told him I did not have time to come back that evening and asked for a discount on this set since it is not what I had requested. He agreed so I paid $20 rather than $40, and still tipped Kim $6.00. Less than a week later my nails are cracking and falling apart. She applied such a thin layer of powder that they were chipping and cracking daily. I called to ask about coming back in to have them repaired by Mai. The woman on the phone told me Mai was on vacation. Hmmm... I was told last time she had quit, but whatever. I agreed to come back in and see if they could be repaired. 11 days after the initial set, 7 of the nails had cracked or chipped. (I typically can go 3-4 weeks before a fill-in and have never had one chip or crack). I went in and spoke with the lady at the front desk and she brought Anthony over. He agreed to repair the broken ones. I told him that since it is likely the other 3 would eventually crack/chip as well, I would like for him to just re-do them all. He was very nice and told me to just choose a new color and he would take care of it. While I am getting my nails done by Anthony, several women that work in the salon keep coming up to him and speaking to him in a different language, however very evident they are talking about me. I see him reference my nails and explain to them they had chipped/cracked and that I was a customer of Mai. I keep getting dirty looks from the women. Ladies, if you are going to gossip about me, at least don't be so obvious. Even if you are speaking a different language, I am not an idiot. Anthony does a great job on what little I have left of my real nails (he had to cut them down completely since so many had broken). The powder was thicker than when Kim did it, so I am hopeful I don't have any issues with this set. I had planned to tip him $20 for his time, but then he decides to let me know that he is charging me $15 for the polish change since I only paid $20 the previous time. Ahhh, so that's what the gossiping women were telling him. Did you think I was trying to scam you out of a set of nails?! lol. Umm, okay. So I paid $15 and still tipped him $8 on top of that since he was friendly and nice. Would have been nice to know that you were going to charge me for a "polish change." I give Anthony 5 stars. If you choose to go here, ask for him. He does great work. I give the environment 0 stars. I don't think I would have gotten more looks from the women working in the salon if I had walked in topless. Very uncomfortable and not an enjoyable experience. Given the competition in the area, I would recommend checking out other places. I won't be back. read more

Oh man how I wish I had taken a photo of my nails after leaving this place. 10 years ago I went to this place and had a good experience. Times have changed and this place did not keep up. I had not treated myself in a while so I decided to get a mani/pedi. Of course they try to upsell you every step of the way which can quickly double the price. I declined. It's almost like they make it super crappy from that point on so that you will take the upgrades at another time. From reading other reviews from folks that did pay the extra, I'm glad I did not. They do your hands at the same time as feet. Fine. But both were totally half-a**ed. I still had skin on the bottom of my feet and after the other woman put 3 coats of color on my hands, she left. They never told me to sit under a dryer or anything and after 15 minutes of sitting in the massage chair waiting for my nails to dry, they quickly rushed me out. I knew my nails weren't dry so I sat at the front just waiting. It was a bit awkward so I finally called my boyfriend to come pick me up. I had to put my shoes on and you can pretty much assume what happened next. Both my hands and feet were not dry and it took almost an hour before they were. It was Halloween and I had to get ready so I pretty much wasted every dollar I spent here. And the top coat wasn't put on evenly either so what wasn't wrecked from it being wet didn't look good anyway. I am in the area and will not be returning here again! read more

Wow! What a place. I was gifted a gift card for this establishment and I am blown away. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and assisted. The venue is very very very nice, clean, spacious, and lavish. The pricing isn't too bad; a basic pedicure is $20. My only qualms are that: (1) it's an additional $5 to have them do the massaging, heel treatments, and exfoliating. I've never been to a nail salon where that is considered "deluxe", because it is typically apart of the basic procedures of getting a pedicure. If I just wanted to have the nails painted, I could do that myself at home. And, (2) they were very hesitant to give me a receipt for my purchase. It seemed a bit shady that she had to "ask her boss" to give me a receipt"; but, after 10 minutes of explaining why I was going to get a receipt, I received it. THE NEXT DAY , a whole nail just fell off , without any sort of reason , then the next day 2 more ... I came in and the same girl fixed the 3 misplaced nails ... a day later another 2 came off , I came back in same week , same girl replaced them again ... then finally 4 more came off ( some of which she had replaced ) came off AGAIN !!! So 4x in the same wk I was there having them fox nails that were just falling off without reason . Finally , They had the same girl replace the entire set blaming it on the "primer." She tried to charge me $20 if I wanted to just do a natural color , ( she was replacing them anyways ) to which I declined and was taken back . I had even got a manicure simply bc despite everything I felt bad she was replacing the whole set " for free " and was willing to pay . She didn't even do the manicure !!! She cut my cuticle , that was all , no lotion , no massage , nothing . I was happy to get out of there with my full set , hoping the problem has been solved ... the NEXT day .... It pains me to say I'm done with Passion nails after going here a few years. They used to do a great job but the past 4 times I've gone it's been horrible. One time I waited 30 min to sit at a pedicure station only to sit another 45 in the water before being helped. My feet were so pruned and disgusting. My nails were rushed and looked horrible after as well - he burned them using the tools too hard and my toes were all over the place with color. I paid for a mani and pedi and got neither, just a polish change. It took 3.5 hours to get a mani/pedi. As others have mentioned too there is no massage or even lotion put on your hands/legs after so you walk out so dry. My nails also broke off a week later just opening my car. This last time the shaping was terrible, it looks like my nails are grown out already (got them done yesterday) and I noticed when I got home the top coat for SNS didn't set long enough before wiped and 2 nails are messed up. I will never come back here again. This is my first and last time. I visited Passion Nails because it's close to my home and I needed to get back quickly to catch a flight. When I walked in, there was only one person waiting so I figured I'd be seen pretty quickly. I was wrong. I waited 30 min before anyone acknowledged me. All I wanted was a basic manicure. The nail tech I had was polite but not friendly. She rushed through my entire manicure in 16 min. Under my time restraint I would of appreciated it but she did a crappy job.
