5 Stars We stopped…read moreby Alejo's on a beautiful Sunday afternoon for a nice Italian dinner with my mom, Martha. The place had such a lively, welcoming family vibe right from the start -- it felt warm and bustling in the best way. We started with the chopped salad to share and added an order of fried calamari. For our mains, we went with the Alejo's Shrimp al Diablo pasta, Chicken Piccata, Chicken Marsala, and the Pescatore. Everything was flavorful and satisfying. The portions were generous, and we especially loved the fresh, warm Italian bread -- honestly one of the best parts of the meal! The service was excellent -- attentive, friendly, and spot-on. We paired everything with a bottle of Franciscan Cabernet Sauvignon, which was a perfect match.not too expensive All in all, Alejo's is a lively, family-friendly spot with great food and atmosphere. We'll definitely be back! Thanks for readinggg

HBD to me... Been coming here for I can't even remember exactly how long, but I started working in El Segundo in 1980, so shortly after that. The garlic dipping oil is truly my draw because not only do I absolutely love garlic, it's the only place that makes it like this and SO DELICIOUS! Their calamari is on a level of it's own and again, never had any anywhere better! It's so fresh, not oily at all, super crunchy and delicious! Next (for me) is their Alejo's chopped salad, with their famous house dressing. After eating these, I never have room for an entree and been ordering these for years... This year they gave me a complimentary Tiramisu for my birthday and I have to say... it was the BEST I've ever had!! Now I need to add that to my meal every time! Thank you Jose for always the best service!

Superfine is hands down our favorite place to brunch in Playa Vista! My wife and I look forward to…read moreour visits - she's obsessed with the breakfast burrito with sausage, especially the crunchy tater tots that make it so satisfying. My personal go-to is the eggs Benedict, served with Canadian ham on their decadent toasted brioche - it's simply exceptional. And because it wouldn't be brunch without something sweet, we always share the lemon ricotta pancakes, which are truly to die for - so light, tangy, and bursting with flavor. Beyond the incredible food, the atmosphere at Superfine is just delightful. The team is always super nice and pleasant, making every visit memorable and welcoming. To top it off, they are dog-friendly, so our pup gets to join us, making brunch even more special. Superfine really checks all the boxes for a perfect brunch spot - amazing food, wonderful people, and a lovely vibe. Highly, highly recommended!

Weekend brunch is a busy time at Superfine, but they seem to handle it well. I figured someone at…read moremy table would share a slice of pizza, so I opted for the Farmer's Market Little Gems salad which I highly recommend. The ingredients don't seem like anything out of the ordinary but put together it was excellent. Good iced tea as well. As for the pizzas, what was shared with me was fine, if a touch greasy. The crust had great flavor - that kind of reads like a backhanded compliment, but I don't mean it that way...it's just that it was the best part of the pizza. The brunch crowd is quite a mix here of all ages (screaming toddlers ahoy) but it didn't end up being a detrimental aspect of the meal. My family member who lived down here has just moved, so I don't know if I'll make it back (or if it's good enough to specifically seek this out) but if you find yourself in this area of Playa Vista, this is a pretty good choice.

The restaurant overlooks the marina with amazing views. Lots of parking but its not free. The food was better than expected. The calamari was very fresh and cooked to perfection. The bread was warm and soft. Went great with the olive oil and balsamic. The amateiciana was homemade and simple yet flavorful just like italy. The marsala was also very tasty with balsamic glazed veggies hitting the spot. The service was lacking though. We placed our order and never got checked in on following getting our meals. No one came back to ask if we wanted dessert or if we wanted the check. Not even coming back to refill our waters. The lack of service really sets this place back. But everything else was great.

There's plenty of parking that costs $2 per hour which you pay at a machine. The food seemed pretty authentic. The calamari appetizer was fresh and had fried shrimp in it too which was good. The chicken Marsala was also very tasty. The free bread was warm and soft. I believe it's beer and wine only, not a full bar. The servers speak Italian which also adds to the authenticity. Our server was very nice and attentive at first. But once the food was dropped off, she didn't check back until we were finished with all of the food. Luckily we didn't need anything during the meal, but it would have been nice if she came back to check on us. Overall it was a good experience with authentic Italian food.
