Stopped here for dinner after a couple drinks and was impressed. Server was very friendly and the Linguini aloo Scoglio I ordered was really delicious. I will go back one day. Highly recommend

It's great to have a casual dinner spot right in the Castro, perfect for dinner before a night out. Went with a group of 6 and had no problem grabbing a table on a Saturday night. The service was quick, food was hot and fresh, and vibe was warm. Nothing flashy, but gets the job done. The chicken marsala was really good, especially with the shaved Brussels sprouts and carrot -- unusual, but delicious. The spaghetti con polpette is one of their signature dishes, and the meatballs are massive and filling. My one recommendation would be to consider sharing the pastas - of the 4 people at our table who ordered pastas, none could finish them. The portions are huge!

This is our second time coming to this location! The service is always great with staff being very attentive and open to requests. The space is intimate and at night it does get chilly sitting near the door. Maybe the restaurant can add another heater by the door. The first time we came we had their butternut squash ravioli and it is by far the best we've ever had. Their calamari is always great and the fried lemon adds a nice acidic touch. The aricini is good with its marinara sauce. The creamy pesto linguini was definitely something unexpected as it wasn't overly oily and had freshness to it. Overall, it was wonderful coming here and will for sure return again.

Came here on Monday at 12:30pm and we were the only ones there. When we left, there were 2 more tables and a bunch of Doordash drivers. It seemed a little tough to find street parking but we were lucky enough to get the metered spot around the corner from the restaurant! Prices are reasonable and portions are hearty. The waiter was polite and checked in with us to see how we liked the food. Of all the dishes I ordered, I would get the mushroom ravioli and seared salmon risotto again.

My friend and I grabbed dinner here before a show at the Castro Theatre. I'd made a reservation, but honestly, you probably don't need one. Our server was great! We shared a small Caesar (with extra anchovies), the calamari, and the linguine allo scoglio. The pasta actually came with corn, which was a first for me--next time I'll definitely ask for it without. The decor is pretty standard, but they have so many tables that it's a bit of a squeeze to walk around.

Difficult for parking so we ordered take out. Big portion. Taste great and they gave us extra cheese on the side without even having to ask.

Date: Tuesday, June 10th, 2025 Party of: 2 Meal: Dinner Delivery Ordered via: DoorDash Time Ordered: around 8:30pm Time Delivered: about 30 mins later Neighborhood Delivered to: Outer Richmond *Garden Salad ($7) *Spaghetti con Polpette ($23) *Caprese Salad ($13) *Garlic Bread ($7.50) - Half Order *Creamy Pesto Linguine ($27) - Add Chicken *Tiramisu ($10) I was craving pasta. After looking around, the hubby and I picked Pasta Panino. Another factor, they had a caprese which I also wanted to try. The salad was a good size, but the very watery. Not sure if it was from the cheese or the tomato, but I ended up having to drain it. Afterwards it wasn't too bad. I did wish the tomato was firmer. The green salad was good. And fairly priced at $7. Out of the two pastas, I liked the linguine the best. It was creamy and comforting. I found the spaghetti lacking in sauce tho, so it was a little dry. A touch bland as well, but we doctored that up with some spices and hot sauce. I didn't try the garlic bread, but the hubs seemed to like it. The tiramisu fulfilled our dessert craving. Not a bad place to grab some Italian. I just wished their caprese wasn't so watery and their spaghetti had more tomato sauce. Other items were solid tho. REVIEW #3786

Delicious! The food was very tasty, so I'm surprised that there was nobody but my group and I here. The food came out pretty quick as well and the server was nice and friendly. This was our first time, as we are visiting from LA. I enjoyed our experience here!

Lovely little restaurant tucked in the castro. Delicious flavors, and nice big portions. We were craving Italian, and thankfully this place does not disappoint. A very affordable option for Italian food!!

Came here with a friend post soulcycle because we were craving pasta and this place delivered! We got seated at the bar right away, service was great, they kept checking on us to make sure everything was good. We ordered the butternut squash ravioli and the creamy pesto linguini with chicken. The ravioli was so fresh and tasted amazing, the butternut squash was sweet. The pesto linguini was super super creamy and also steaming hot when it came out! The flavor was great, lots of pesto and cheesiness to it, the little tomato and onion bits pulled all the flavors together so well. The chicken was just a little bit dry but still tasted great with the pasta.

Ivana Daza

Sweet and classic pasta spot in Castro. The interior has cute pride flags and paintings. We went for a vegetarian meal, with pesto linguini, garlic bread, and butternut squash ravioli. All of it was delicious. The full order of garlic bread with marinara sauce was good to share among 2 people. Would return!

We came post-pickleball into Pasta Panino to refuel after some intense matches. The service was extra friendly (maybe almost too friendly) and we got seated immediately. The appetizers were a bit lackluster for me. The calamari wasn't crispy at all, but I loved the fried lemon slices and overall flavor. The bruschetta wasn't really memorable - bland winter tomatoes don't have much going on at all. The Alfredo was decent - there were generous portions of shrimp and mushrooms. The added spinach makes it feel more healthy too. But at the price tag, I've had better elsewhere. But, I'm happy we tried it out!

Amelia recommended one pasta dish per person in the party, to share family style (which ended up working well for us, since we also got three appetizers, and finished the meal with a small amount of yummy leftovers for tomorrow) so that's what we did, along with the starters... We got the "big juicy meatballs with tomato and pancetta," which were incredible; the bread was delicious and certainly is not just a side to the amazing (definitely juicy) herbed tender meatballs. I'd definitely get this again, along with the grilled zucchini with worm salt and mint, which was so flavorful and tasty. We also got the smokey romano beans with fire roasted tomato, which was also really good but just keep in mind the emphasis on the smokey flavor! It wasn't my cup of tea but that's for sure a personal thing. For pastas, I'd rank them in this order: 1. our favorite was today's lasagna du jour, which was mushroom! So delicious, with a crispy cheesy crust, soft tender interior, and an almost caramelized tomato sauce accompanying. 2. Reginette with pork sugo (meat sauce) and spicy turnip greens was next, which had wonderful flavor with the tomato-based sauce and pieces of pork but if you like it slightly softer texture it might not be for you (same with the fusilli; the go-to preparation is aldente!). 3. Fusilli alla vodka with tomato, calabrian chili, cream, basil, and added garlic butter shrimps; this one's sauce felt a little underwhelming and more watery than creamy, and I'm just now realizing that although the menu said four garlic butter shrimp (an extra $7), we only got three. I think I'd come back for the lasagna and/or to buy the pasta from their expansive stock, cook it a bit longer, and serve it covered in a decadent creamy sauce.
