    Steak Tartare

Had such a delicious Friday lunch at Pastis in Wynwood with a work colleague. The entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. We started with a few appetizers including the tuna carpaccio, which was absolutely outstanding and literally melted in your mouth, steak tartare, and the true star of the show the crispy artichoke. So simple yet unbelievably good. For our entrée, we shared the steak sandwich, which was incredible... and of course I completely forgot to take a picture because we dove right in. The atmosphere, service, and food made for the perfect Friday afternoon lunch. Already looking forward to going back and finally trying their French onion soup.

Pastis has a dimly lit, intimate atmosphere. It was packed with people, giving the place a lively energy without feeling chaotic. Food was delicious- Duck Confit (full of flavor, best duck confit I've ever had) and 1/2 roasted chicken (comes with mashed potatoes which were heavenly). The warm sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream is a must have, tasting butterscotch in every bite. Our waiter was very attentive! Surprisingly excellent restaurant in a city full of constantly new and expensive, but mid level restaurants. Would come again!

Great staple in Miami and definitely worth the visit! Service is always great and the food is delicious. The atmosphere is casual and chic at the same time.

Hit up Pastis for Sunday brunch and what a great time we had. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and the vibes were great on both. If it's a hot summer day or a chance of rain, def go for inside seating as the umbrella coverage isn't the best. And be sure to make your reservation on Resy. We ordered an egg breakfast and a burger with fries. Both were fantastic. They make good cocktails so, drink up. Weekend afternoons is prob the best time to come, and I'll for sure be back again.

Went here for Easter brunch today and reserved a spot on the garden patio. We had the same server as when we were there in Dec 2024 but of course he didn't recognize us haha. But he was as friendly and attentive as our last visit. I enjoyed this visit so much on the patio. It had the feel of an outdoor cafe in France (not that I've ever been there, but it was what I imagine). I had a cappuccino, and I have to say this was the real deal. It had the perfect strength and flavor. The bread we started off with was soft and was so delicious with a swipe of the butter. I ordered the French Onion soup hor d'oeuvres and my husband, who isn't a huge French onion soup fan, also loved it. I ordered pancakes which is a rarity for me, as I usually prefer savory. But these were so fluffy and perfect. I ate barely 1 1/2 bc I was so full by then (it came with 3). My daughter's French toast was delicious and really soft. My husband ordered an omelet, and I forgot to ask him how it was, but he devoured it. I also had a mimosa after my coffee. The mimosa was perfect as well. We had such a nice time here and cemented my love for Pastis. I will say that I would prob only go for lunch if I was looking for lighter fare (maybe coffee and croissant etc) or was nearby abs liked the ambiance. We live quite a ways south so I would prob save my next trip to Pastis for dinner because I keep thinking about our last visit. Also, someone near us had ordered a dish with garlic that smelled incredible.

Pastis is one of my favorite places to get a delicious juicy burger in Miami. The quality of everything is top tier. It's nothing crazy but still amazing at the same time. Simple and straight to the point. The fries are always sooo delicious fresh. Can't wait to come back.

Pastis is a love language only few know how to speak, and when I say that I'm talking most specifically about their Spaghetti Limone. I could write poems about this dish. Needless to say, Pastis has such a special place in the hearts of all lucky enough to try it. Extremely versatile, perfectly accommodating any date, family gathering, or even lunch; it truly is a hit in any scenario. Other star plates include their American Burger, remaining on the list of top Burgers in the city despite the burger scene expanding as quickly as it has; as well as their steak tartare, and their brunch menu is also worth noting with their delicious Eggs Benedict & Steak Frites. The ambiance is incredibly photo-worthy and one we will see on your IG feed without a doubt after a visit.

We really enjoy Pastis and have been there a couple of times now, and it's always been a big hit. From the drinks all the way to dessert, everything has been consistently excellent, we honestly haven't ordered a single thing we didn't like. The food and drinks feel well thought out and executed, which makes each visit just as enjoyable as the last. The service has always been great as well, no complaints. It's also a great spot for a date night. The atmosphere is lovely, especially in the evening, with beautiful ambient lighting that sets the mood perfectly. The space feels lively and buzzing, yet still cozy and intimate at the same time. Overall, Pastis is a place we're always happy to return to and would highly recommend for a special night out or a relaxed, memorable meal.

    Steak tartare and oysters

I haven't written a review in a long time, but our dinner last night was worthy of one. Wow. It was Valentine's Day, and on a Saturday, so I was terrified to eat out because the food and service tends to lack with the overwhelming demand. But.....I was extremely surprised by everything. My martini was perfect, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. We started with oysters and steak tartare for appetizers. Both were exceptional, I will crave that tartare for a while. Then we shared the skirt steak frites with a side salad. I can't even tell you what our favorite bite was because every single dish, yes even the side salad, was just perfect. The server was so attendant and kind. I don't think my water glass was ever below halfway. The restaurant is beautiful, dimly lit and decorated gorgeously. I felt like I was back in Paris with just the perfect touch of Miami (hello loud music and conversations). I could not recommend this restaurant more. Expectations were blown out of the water. Will definitely be going back.

My friends and I recently checked out Pastis, a French restaurant in Miami, and honestly, it's a really cute spot--with both indoor and outdoor seating. We dined outside, and the atmosphere is cozy, almost like sitting on a little European terrace. Charming and relaxed. Service was a bit hit-or-miss. The reception was welcoming, but once we were seated, it sometimes felt like we were a bit of a bother. The bread basket took 20 minutes to arrive, and even though we mentioned we were celebrating a birthday, there wasn't much acknowledgement--other tables were sung to, but not us. While I can't say for certain, it did feel like the service we received was different from other tables, and it seemed influenced by the fact that we were the only black people in the restaurant. It's not about the bread or dessert itself, but about consistent, attentive service for all guests. We started with onion soup and burrata. The onion soup was rich, savory, full of flavor, and so comforting--definitely a great way to start the meal. The burrata was fresh and creamy, though we had to ask for baguettes to go with it, and it took a while for them to come, which left us waiting to fully enjoy the dish. I tried the Miami Mango mocktail (passionfruit & mango puree, lemon, grenadine, tonic). It was very tart and leaned more toward passionfruit than mango--not my favorite, but if you like tart drinks, it might be for you. For mains, we had: Gratin au Macaroni with Ham Spaghetti Bolognese Chicken Paillard with Almonds & Picholine Olives Linguine Vongole Boeuf Bourguignon with Frites The Chicken Paillard was seasoned but the combination of the salty olives and the acidity of the lemon made the dish extra salty. The salad was fresh but topped with parmesan which is also salty didn't help balance it. If you order this, go with mashed potatoes for a better balance. The macaroni and ham was creamy with a good texture but also on the salty side. The Bolognese was fresh, but nothing spectacular. The highlight dish was definitely the Boeuf Bourguignon with mashed potatoes-- tender, buttery, and basically melted in my mouth. The mashed potatoes were light, airy, and creamy--truly a perfect combo. If you try one thing, make it this. For dessert, I had the Crème Brûlée, which had a perfect caramelized top and thick, creamy texture. Flavor-wise, it was a little mild--more milky than rich--and could have had more depth. Parking is easy: street parking is available, or valet is $25 if you're not a member. Overall, Pastis has a charming vibe but a few overly salty plates, inconsistent service, and slightly overpriced menu items keep it from being perfect. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again, and I have to note that the way our table was treated felt noticeably different compared to others, which was disappointing.

High-energy Parisian brasserie experience in Wynwood, featuring classic white subway tiles, red leather banquettes, and a lively, noisy room. Love it! Escargots have buttery-heavy, classic preparation that hits all the traditional notes. Must try - mussels! Out of this world, the best in Miami. Our server was Gregory P with an amazing service. Will definitely come back !

William was our server and we ordered the pancakes which are extremely large and can easily be split between two people. The yogurt berries and granola without granola because we were informed it contained nuts. A cheeseburger, the chicken paillard which is also served with nuts so be sure to mention if you have an allergy. Lastly the 12 piece oyster that were served fresh with dips and lemon but we had to request rock salt and the Le Grand Aioli which was also light yet filling. The Le Grand is served with asparagus, boiled egg, radishes and potatoes all chilled with smoked salmon and shrimp. The smoked salmon didn't have a Smokey flavor to it but it was delicious when dipped in the olive tapenade and other dips served with the platter. The atmosphere is quite nice and the bread is served with pastis whipped butter and/or olive oil upon request. I suggest trying both!

I didn't read any of the reviews of LPM before coming here, but now that I'm reading through some of them as I draft mine, I can honestly say I don't understand the hype or how/why this place has garnered so many 5 star reviews based on my own experience. I note that many of the highest rated reviews are nearly a decade old, so maybe LPM used to be better back in the day? We arrived just ahead of our reservation and were seated right away. Service wasn't terribly attentive, yet we also felt rushed at times. Our server explained a bit about the menu and when we said we'd planned to order a bottle of wine and one of the guys in our party was perusing the wine list, the waiter more or less insisted he was sending the sommelier to make a recommendation, rather than asking if we'd like him to send the sommelier. When indicating we just wanted a decent mid-priced red, their wine expert recommended a $170 bottle which ended up being good, but not at all worthy of that pricepoint. We felt rushed to order our meals after they visited twice to ask if we'd made our selections, though we were clearly more interested in chatting for a bit before seriously looking at the menu. Later, shortly after we'd been given bread they cleared our plates along with bread slices we'd just been given, saying our meals were nearly ready - yet they weren't delivered for several more minutes. It was explained to us that most people order several dishes which are brought to the table as they're prepared, but on this night we all ordered from the Miami Spice menu as each of us saw items listed there we were interested in but also, since we were being prompted repeatedly to make our selections, it was just faster to order from that simplified menu. When they brought each of our Miami Spice courses - salads, entrees and deserts, they sat them in the center of the table as if we were expected to divide and share them. Each time they brought a course we each took the plates we'd ordered and only ate what we'd selected, but the staff didn't take the hint and still just sat everything in the middle of the table when they'd bring our food. I must say everything I ate was well-prepared and flavorful, though the portions weren't very large (which is sometimes to be expected when ordering the Miami Spice offering). In contrast to all the 5 star rave reviews for this place, during my own experience here at LPM I found that the serving staff lacked polish and we felt rushed during certain points, but a lack of any attention when we'd have appreciated it at other times. They sent a sommelier we didn't ask for who recommended a bottle that was overpriced vs. quality, and had an experience that I'd just summarize as a bit odd overall. I can now say I've been to LPM and experienced it for myself. I can also say with some confidence that, with all the other restaurant offerings in this city, including many in the Brickell area, I don't think I'll have any desire to return here.

There are also smaller tables around the restaurant, but you would miss much of the theater of watching the chefs at work. Another advantage of sitting at the counter was the remarkable pacing: as we finished our plates, they were often cleared within seconds and the next course arrived within minutes. In addition to the Miami Spice menu, there was a four-course seasonal Summer Menu, which we ordered, and an eight-course Evolution Menu, all with optional wine pairings. The Miami Spice and Evolution had fixed courses. For each of the four courses on the Summer Menu, we had several choices. There were also additional courses, including bread and butter, a foie gras starter with Parmesan foam, and a cantaloupe sorbet palate cleanser. Since we were celebrating our anniversary, we were also presented with a stunning raspberry and white chocolate heart dessert to share. I normally avoid foie gras out of compassion for the goose, but there wasn't an alternative offered. I have to admit, however, that this one was delicious. The essence of Maury "Vieilles Vignes" gave it a faint caramel-like flavor that paired beautifully with the richness of the foie gras. And the hot cheese bread is not to be missed. One bite with the softened, creamy butter and I was already thinking, "Okay, I'm glad I came." For our first courses, we both chose the Japanese hamachi with toasted almond emulsion and winter citrus. It was beautifully presented and a light, gentle way to begin. For the second course, I ventured further outside my usual comfort zone with the Japanese sea urchin, served with onion custard, asparagus, and coffee essence, while my husband chose the leeks braised in wasabi with radish, dill, and egg yolk. After snorkeling and seeing sea urchins in their natural habitat, I appreciated the opportunity to finally taste a really good one. The leeks were also amazing. I was still a little hungry when we reached the main course, but that was about to change. I chose the olive oil-poached halibut with clam-vermouth broth and a spring vegetable bouquet. My husband had the Mediterranean branzino with lemon balm emulsion, crème fraîche, and a caviar-stuffed tomato. The halibut was an exceptionally delicate fish in a light and genuinely delicious broth. I had been worried the clam-vermouth broth might taste overly fishy, but it didn't at all, and I savored every drop. The signature mashed potatoes served alongside the meal were decadently rich, buttery, and filling. For dessert, we both chose Le Chocolat Sensation -- Guanaja chocolate crémeux with white chocolate ice cream and Oreo cookie crumble. It arrived beneath a beautiful, thin disk of chocolate concealing the chocolate, cookie crumble, and ice cream below. If you had any hunger remaining, it was certainly cured by this point. Our anniversary raspberry and white chocolate heart complemented the flavors beautifully and made for a lovely photograph and memory of the evening. Our waitstaff, including Oriana, was absolutely outstanding. Service was attentive and polished and each dish was carefully introduced as it arrived. Combined with the extraordinary choreography of the open kitchen, the pacing made the entire dinner feel seamless. This was our first two-Michelin-star restaurant in the United States, and I'm glad we experienced it. It wasn't simply dinner; sitting at the Chef's counter gave us a front-row seat to the precision, creativity, and teamwork required to produce food at this level.

Best Restaurant i've been to in a while…read more La Fresca Francesa absolutely blew us away. We typically don't eat French food, so we weren't sure what to expect, but this was phenomenal from start to finish. We started with the Assiette de Fromage. All three cheeses were really good, and the jam they served alongside them paired incredibly well with the cheese. It was a great way to start the meal. We also tried the Boudin Noir, which was probably one of the most unique dishes we had. I'd never had anything quite like it. The pear really brought out the flavor of the sausage and complemented it surprisingly well. The Chicken Vol-au-Vent was probably my favorite savory dish. I'm not even sure where to start. The sauce was excellent, the chicken was tender, and all the other toppings in the filling came together really well. I would definitely order this again. The Lapin à la Moutarde was also very good. I really enjoyed the rabbit, and the potatoes were a great accompaniment. For dessert, we had the French Salted Butter & Sugar Crêpe, and it was phenomenal. The simplicity of the dish really worked, and the butter in particular made the dish. The service was amazing. Milena was awesome, super attentive, knowledgeable, and really helpful when walking us through the menu. Everyone in the restaurant was incredibly nice and welcoming. The restaurant itself was also beautiful and really well decorated. It has a very unique atmosphere that adds to the experience. Overall, La Fresca Francesa was truly a one-of-a-kind restaurant. We went in not knowing much about French food and left absolutely blown away. Definitely one of those places I'd recommend trying even if French cuisine isn't normally your thing.

Huge thank you to Natalie for helping organize everything, to our wonderful waitress Wendy, and to the entire team who made the evening feel so easy, warm and magical. The service was outstanding, the food was incredible as always, and the whole space has that perfect elegant but laid-back vibe. Definitely one of the best spots in the Gables. Highly recommend.

I ordered my steak medium well but it came well done. It was still very good and had a nice flavor to it. For dessert, I had the creme carmel and my friend had the pistachio ice cream. The creme caramel reminded me of an egg custard that my mom used to make for us growing up. It was delicious. At over $200 for lunch, I wanted the food to wow me. It didn't but it was very good. Holly our server was great. Gratuity is included on the check. Parked right outside on the street for $6.75 for 2 hours. Maximum parking on the street was for 3 hours. Columbus garage is right next door if you can't find street parking.

After being regular customers for so long, we simply asked for a replacement because the drink we received tasted awful and did not meet our expectations. Instead of trying to resolve the issue or accommodate a reasonable request, our replacement was immediately refused without any effort to help. It is very disappointing when customer loyalty is not valued, especially after consistently supporting a business over time. A simple gesture could have turned a negative experience into a positive one, but unfortunately, that was not the case. The lack of customer care, flexibility, and appreciation for loyal customers has led us to make the decision not to return. In a city like Miami, there are countless places that offer not only great food and drinks, but also exceptional service, where customers are always treated as a priority. Sadly, this was not our experience at Bonjour Bakery. No matter how good a place may be, customer service is what truly builds long-term relationships and keeps people coming back. We hope Bonjour Bakery reconsiders its approach to customer care in the future.
