Pastrami plus has great food and great service. I was greeted by friendly faces, and the pastrami was the best I've had on Long Island.

Still decent but in my opinion not as good or clean as it once was. Don't know if the original owner sold but wouldn't be surprised.

I found this place searching for pierogi by me on door dash. I couldn't decide what I wanted and so I decided to get things to taste. I got the fried pierogi, sweet potato knish and rice pudding. I hate to be the only one knocking this place but I'm sorry, possibly I was there on a bad night, but I will definitely have to give Pastrami Plus a big minus!! There is nothing much that intrigued me about this place. Maybe it was because only one waitress was there that night, maybe the grill wasn't working correctly and therefore this was the reason why you couldn't bite into the Hot Dog, maybe it was because the dishwasher was broken that I had to ask for a "clean" place setting or maybe it was just me but the Pastrami tasted "off" and had to be returned, but, this is what they're known for. Although, the Stuffed Cabbage was very good and the staff and owner were extremely nice and apologetic (didn't even charge me or my friend for dinner), I may just try them again. After all, they did get some good reviews and I do believe in giving second chances. Portions were also big. I just hope my update will add some Plus's to this Pastrami place next time!! read more

Their pastrami is outstanding. Opted for this place after reading reviews, wanting something other than Bens and to support a small business. The pastrami was surprisingly lean yet super juicy and flavorful. Their homemade sweet potato knish was like a preview of Thanksgiving. Yum. The cole slaw was a bit too sweet for my taste and they can improve on their fries. But overall, I found this to be my new place to satisfy my pastrami cravings. I've been on a Pastrami kick for the past month so I've been hitting all the places near me that are withing reasonable driving distance. Last Sunday it was Pastrami Plus's trial by fire. I ordered a pastrami on rye with mustard on the side to go. I was really disappointed when I got home and unwrapped it. The sandwich was a decent size for the price and tasted pretty good but the edges were hard and kinda crispy, like the meat was previously sliced and reheated. I won't be gong back. read more

First of all the picture of the sandwich must be years old. Mine was one half the size. Not good for a deli style sandwich. Second is it is not 11:99. Its 14.99. The third is they no longer accept credit cards, but instead have an ATM that adds 2.00 to the price of the meal. NO WHERE does it say no credit cards as they accepted them in the past. They should be putting more meat on for fifteen dollars and not less. To not take credit cards because of a small fee they have to pay, and make us pay is ridiculous. We asked for a medium burger and it was extra well done, hard as a rock and had a funny taste to it. I asked for a pastrami sandwich and the clerk repeated back "one pastrami sandwich with coleslaw" I assumed that the coleslaw came with it. Nope $3.99 for a side of coleslaw. I love pastrami, and I never have the opportunity to enjoy it because 1) I'm lazy and don't want to cook it for myself, and 2) it has a tendency to be on the pricier end of the eating out spectrum, and I'm living the rent life. Pastrami Plus, however, caters to my cheap, lazy self. Many of my closest friends are from this area, and I finally made the venture into Pastrami Plus to check them out. I ordered, naturally, a pastrami sandwich. I believe it was about $9 (which is well-priced), and it was the best $9 I could've spent. It was moist (sorry to anyone who dislikes that word), flavorful, and all-around amazing! The pickle that came with sandwich was a nice touch, as well! While I did want to enjoy my sandwich at the comfort of a table, I wasn't able to do that because it was kind of cramped. The small size of the shop was my only issue, but if you're coming here on a lunch break and just bringing your food back to the office, you're golden. read more

I've been to Pastrami Plus a few times and have had a so so experience with the food. I've had pastrami sandwiches, corned beef, hot dogs, etc and nothing stood out as really great. I'd say it was a step above most places to get a sandwich, but not by much. Then, yesterday on my way home I was craving pastrami so I stopped in. It was out of this world good. Right up there with some of the best pastrami I've had. The sandwich was very flavorful, lean, and absolutely delicious. At this point I would have to say this place is hit or miss. The time before this I received thick, pure fat slices, overcooked and dry pastrami and was really hoping to not have the same. I am hoping this means they got some flack from others and changed their ways so I've given them an extra star for the last experience. The place is kind of small, with not a lot of room for groups. It's more suitable for a casual lunch with a friend. Takeout options are available, and they also serve many traditional Kosher style prepared foods. read more

The hot pastrami sandwich was tender, delicious and piled high! Even better was one of their specialty sandwiches -- the East Meadow: piled high with succulent pastrami, plus delectable corned beef, Russian and their homemade coleslaw! All were on fresh, delicious Jewish rye! Another winner was the homemade mushroom barley soup: wonderful! My husband, Dad and I were pleasantly surprised! We'll definitely be back for more! I called and ordered over the phone but still had to wait quite a while when I arrived even though there wasn't a single customer in the place at dinnertime on a Saturday evening. Steer clear of this place! 1 hour and 10 minutes for delivery of 4 items... 2 sandwiches, a soup and knish. 1 of the sandwiches was missing. When I called to advise that part of our 4 item for $45 order was missing (yes you read that right... $45) the guy sounded annoyed and made me repeat the whole order... annoying! I gave 1 star because they did come back with my hubbys sandwich but mine was dry!!! They also don't know what au jus is because I got a pasty gelatin substance they called "gravy".
