    Not a fan. Bland.

Not a fan of these. I got a beef one and italian one and even with all the gravy, i found these super bland and flavorless! I know these are different than kolahces but the kolaches are sooo much better! The beef and italian tasted very similar for me. The gravy didnt help. I threw the rest of these away. Not good.

...hard to make the call, but when you expand a business "too quickly", it sometimes doesn't work out as planned. Didn't eat anything substantial yesterday at work because I didn't do a meal prep over the weekend, so I basically snacked on junk food till I decided to get a Pasty pie on my way home. I even made a U-turn because I noticed this place was (back) open. The sign said "RE-OPENING" and I had seen it there, but hadn't noticed that it was open for an entire year before shutting down. Went in, happened to meet the owner, so he told me the story that they had been open in HB for a year and didn't do well at all... so he closed the doors. The owner of the mini mall asked him to reopen on a part time basis and together they brain-stormed to try again to make it work. AFTER ALL, when the OG location in Los Alamitos has been open for SIXTY THREE years and have a 4.3 Yelp rating, they obviously know how to run a business..... BUT YOU NEED CUSTOMERS! So, I took a few snaps and bought one pasty pie today because he had a new flavor, Corned Beef & Cabbage. He told me no gravy was required because it had enough flavor on it's own. I'm a little sensitive to "salt", so it was a bit too salty for me, IMO. If you've ever tried the Pasty Kitchen in Los Al or Cerritos and are a fan, PLEASE SUPPORT LOCAL and give the HB store a visit. They also have amazing looking pastries & salads. Corned Beef & Cabbage $5.50

Pasty Kitchen has opened on Bolsa Chica. We selected the 6-pack Hot Box ($29.70) that comes with 6 small pasties and 2 large gravies. We did half and half beef and chicken. Regular price on small beef or chicken pasties is $4.95 each so you're basically getting free gravy. We chose beef and chicken for the 2 large sauces. We also tried out a Bratwurst & Sauerkraut pasty ($5.50) and Corned Beef & Cabbage ($5.50). It was recommended that we buy a mustard sauce ($1.50) to accompany the Bratwurst (?) maybe it was for the Corned Beef? It would have been nice to try some of the fruit pasties but they were completely out, only cookies in stock so we passed. First off, all the pasties tasted very similar to us, regardless of type. But of the 4, the beef was definitely the best tasting. And of the two sauces, the beef was better over the chicken, more flavorful. The pasties were very filling and hearty due to all the potatoes. There's only two of us so we had pasties for days. The staff here is exceptionally nice, recognized us as first-timers, told us how to eat the pasties, made suggestions. The location is an ordering counter and display cases, so the ambiance is simple and friendly. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be back unless we have visitors who want to try it.

So excited to finally try this spot! I ordered a small beef pasty, small vegetable pasty, macaroni salad, and peach turnover. They asked is I want beef gravy to go with the pasty, so ordered that too. Everything is ordered to go, so I couldn't wait to get home and try everything. The beef pasty had carrots and potatoes with it. It was really good and quite filling. The veggie one was loaded with zucchini and broccoli and other veggies too. It was really good as well! The gravy was amazing! Totally recommend adding it to your order. The peach turnover was also delicious. Every last bite was consumed. The Mac salad was good, but I got so full from everything I don't know that I needed it. The employees were really nice and we chatted a bit. It's super clean inside. A small little spot. I like that they have a few designated parking spots. I will definitely return.

We go to the joint next door pretty frequently and saw this little place. Located where the pizza place used to be. Tiny, bare bones location. Friendly greeting upon entering and we were given a good explanation of things. Ok. I got the large beef pasty. So, when you hear the word "pasty," it conjures up images of dainty-ness, delicateness. At least for me, anyway. Quite the contrary. Like a huge, hulking body builder named Lawrence, this pasty was significant despite its name. It's a full meal with every food group represented...aside from throwing in an apple or something. Got a side of beef gravy with it. Because, why not? I've never turned down a gravy offer. It was solid. Filling is beef, spuds, carrots, onions, etc. gravy was nice. I ate the whole thing. Pastry that encases the entire job was good, flaky. It's like a hand held shepherd's pie. Simple, hearty food. Next time, we'll try the fruit filled options. Give it a go mate.

Small , tiny stores in the Huntington Beach for to go only. (No tables) The pie corner beef was okay ( potatoes more than corner beef) Service nice help.

I've come here a couple of times; I've tried the fish & chips, but the real star is the "full English breakfast." They use authentic English "bangers" and not just an American sausage. We also order their award winning fish and chips, we got the cod. It was ok. Not too sure about "award winning". But it was good. My son got the fish bite and chips from the Little Buccaneers menu (12 and under). It came w/a drink and an ice cream sundae. It was a good portion for a 9 year old. He said it was good! Our server was nice and smiley, but unfortunately our food and even our drinks took a while. Maybe cause it was busy, but luckily our server was cheery and friendly, it kind of made up for it. Overall, this place is pretty cool. Would I come here again? Possibly. But honestly I thought this place was just ok.

The storefront is almost hidden on the right side of the food hall and can be easy to miss if you're not looking for it. There was no wait, and I was able to order right away. They gave me a beeper, and I was able to find a nearby table without any trouble. I ordered the Fish N Chips, which was a generous portion. It came with two large pieces of fish that were nicely fried. The batter wasn't too thick, and the fish itself was tender rather than overly flaky or hard. The texture and overall quality were good, but it was a bit lacking in flavor, even with malt vinegar and tartar sauce. The steak fries were crispy and not overly salty, which I enjoyed. Overall, the meal was average. With limited fish and chip options nearby, it's still a decent choice if you're in the area and craving it.

We don't really have fish fry spots in Irvine besides California fish grill or OC fish grill(they pissed me off the first last visit so that's a different story.) Anyway, I love to support mom and pop over corporate eats any day. The service is good and the menu is straight forward. Great portions and super fresh eats. I honestly don't have any complaints. I'm not an English fried fish connoisseur so I can't compare but this meal hits and its solid! I'll definitely be back and please support your local small business:)

The carpets and walls are "rustic" if you're being generous, but honestly they looked cigarette-stained and filthy. The service was atrocious too. It took nearly THIRTY MINUTES just to get tea. Tea. Not a five-course meal. Then we waited OVER AN HOUR for finger sandwiches that tasted like cafeteria scraps. Most of the food was genuinely awful. The only remotely edible items were the tomato soup, cucumber/egg sandwich, and chicken quiche -- except the quiche wasn't even included and cost an extra $22, which is insane for a place already charging premium prices for mediocrity. The "egg sandwich" was basically stale yellow bread with microscopic traces of egg. And whoever decided HAM AND BLUEBERRY CREAM CHEESE belonged in a finger sandwich needs to be fired immediately. Even the table decor looked terrible. Every table had random mismatched pieces from different sets instead of a cohesive theme, so the whole place just felt cluttered, lazy, and disorganized. Nothing about this experience felt charming or intentional. I waited over an hour to eat garbage in a room that smelled like dust and neglect. Absolutely do not recommend. I wasn't paying, but the experience costed over $100 (including $60 from a groupon).

Long before Yelp was even a thing, and long before the internet really was put into the hands of the cow in person, this was the hub. This is where you went to meet people, exchange ideas, have conversation and more. The harp is really an institution in Orange county. And not just because it has longevity, there's a reason that it has sustained power. This place is probably one of the most authentic Irish pubs I've been to. Having been to Ireland. I can attest that this is right there with a standard pub in a small town. Which makes it wonderful. The people that run the place, especially Paul, is one of the reasons why I keep coming back here. He's personable, funny, and no-nonsense right. I like his way of thinking and his approach to customer service a second to none. Now let's talk about the food and drinks. From a drink standpoint. You cannot go wrong with this place, the drinks are thoughtfully made, this guy knows how to pour a beer. As far as food goes. I highly recommend the beefeater sandwich, and you cannot go wrong with the chicken wings. Some of the best wings I've had ever. Friday and Saturday nights is usually popping pretty hard when they have bands playing. So, good luck trying to find a seat anywhere in the place. When there is an event that night. You will have to get there early for sure. The bottom line? This is a go-to hangout. If you are looking for a good watering hole to meet people, just hang out and have a good time, or watch a game on the big screen TVs. F*** I would highly recommend the harp to anybody and everyone in the Orange county area.

Unfortunately, my recent visit was such a disappointment. Let's start with food. We ordered wings, chips and whipped feta. The wings had clearly been refrigerated and thrown on the grill for a hot second. The fat on them were soft and gelatinous and when I bit into it, the center was hard and super cold. It also smelled like a fridge. We sent them back and asked for a fresh batch but they had just taken the same ones and warmed them up. Very possible they were microwaved. I knew they were the ones I sent back because the wing I had taken a bite out of and spit out was right back on the plate. Then let's get into the chips. They were stale. They advertised them as home made and I don't doubt that but it's like they made them 3 days ago and left them out. They were cold and barely crispy. We sent these back as well and we got a slightly better batch but I wasn't going to argue this with the staff. The saving grace was the whipped feta. This was actually good. Nothing wow but it was edible since the other two items were such a huge let down. Now service. The lady that served us was very very sweet. However, not a great server. She disappeared and we needed to flag down another server for a refill. She was also not the one that we could talk to about our disappointing food. Another server had to come check on us. I don't think I could convince my husband to come back here, let alone spend money on this. It's unfortunate since I was hoping to share a slice of my former Newport stomping grounds with him.
