When it's cold outside and you're looking for a meal that's filling and hot and ready to go then this is a spot. I've been coming here for years, even when it used to have the old owners and it always remains consistent. The meat pies are delicious and filling and easy enough to eat when you're on the go,they had a corn beef and cabbage special this week which was really good and I'm glad they're now offering different specials every week. My only gripe with this place is they discontinued the veggie one which used to come in handy because we have a vegetarian in our household. it's weird that they offered it as a special but not a solid menu spot. They offer a chicken pie and a beef pie and basically that's it. Like I said the pies are delicious. I just wish they'd bring back the veggie to the regular menu. What a GEM! I have passed by this place many times and wondered what a Pasty was! After binge watching older seasons of British Baking Show, one episode showed the bakers making them. They looked so good and I knew where to go! Small but busy place. I was there at 1030am, already busy! Ample parking behind the store. I might suggest looking at reviews on Yelp to get an idea what you want to order. Many of the Yelpers suggested the beef over chicken. In addition, if they were making pastrami, definitely get that! They appear have a special pasty daily. There are two sizes small and large. That's what I struggled with a bit and decided to go with small, order two to taste more than one flavor. Food - ordered two small pastrami and two small beef, side gravy, macaroni salad and potato salad. My husband and I split one each of both flavors. With some salads, plenty of food and perfect amount too! Now we have a second meal! Salad portions very generous. No way to eat one alone, shareable. We both absolutely loved the Pastys. I can only compare these meat Pies with empanadas. Lighter crust and a lot of filling vs empanada. I loved that the filling was a nice blend of meat, potatoes, and veggies. Both beef and pastrami were great. We both loved the gravy with the beef pasty but on its own without also great bites. My recommendation would be to order more than one flavor, share if possible. If you do order beef, get the gravy for dipping. Their salads were great (also offer a broccoli salad that I plan to try next visit). We ordered to go and most others were doing the same. There are a few tables outside in the back, so eating there is an option. The Pastys traveled very well. Service was excellent, friendly and helpful especially since it was my first visit! I loved that they used nice professional stickers on their bags and Pasty wraps, nice touch! From the outside window you can see them making the Pastys! No question we will be back! I never had pasties before. Stopped in with a friend and tried Pasty Kitchen for the first time. Crazy how I use to play softball down the street in Los Al and also frequent the Navy golf course and never stopped in. The pasties are yummy when eaten right away. Hot, flakey, meaty goodness. I got both the small chicken and beef pasties and preferred the beef over the chicken. It's a must with the gravy. They have a vegetarian version as well. The kitchen has a few outdoor tables with umbrellas and food comes out hot to order. I am a fan! The pasty's remind me of a chicken pot pie that you hold in your hand. The beef is my favorite, especially paired with the beef gravy. The textures, flavors, and freshness are all on point. The prices for what you get are perfect too. A small is filling for a quick lunch, especially paired with their potato salad that reminds me of a deviled egg. Super comforting meal that doesn't break the bank. Parking and seating are limited, with no indoor seating at all. It's been ages since my daughter and I have come here, and since we were in town, we decided to visit our old stomping grounds! We remember cash only $3 pasties, cooked fresh and made in the window! We were pleasantly surprised to see very similar prices and menu with option to use card, apple pay, etc! I excitedly ordered one chicken and beef pie online and promptly picked it up when it was ready. I returned to my desk, ready to sink my teeth into a delicious treat but instead I was met with a flavorless glob of meat in a pastry shell. The chicken legit looked like it came out of a can. I couldn't take more than two bites. Remaining hopefully, I moved over to the beef option. At first bite it tasted slightly better than the chicken, but upon closer inspection, there were sections of pink sprinkled throughout the glob of beef and potatoes ? Was it not throughly cooked!? I have been eating here for decades and it never dissappoints! I have enjoyed many of the new flavors, like corned beef and cabbage, chorizo and the Italian sausage with peppers but my favorites are the original chicken and beef. I always get the opposite gravy. Chicken gravy for the Beef pasty and beef gravy for the chicken pasty. This double the flavor profile in my opinion. The cookies and turnovers are also delicious! (Lowkey we preferred the chicken gravy over beef) These things are made fresh daily, right in front of you, and are the perfect finger food for a snack or even a meal. Every time we come there's always a long ass line out the door so just be aware of a potential wait time. However once you order your food is ready to go almost immediately. Prices are reasonable and quality is exceptional. We were really surprised with how good the mac salad was too, it paired amazing with the pastys and we ate on their patio which they keep nice and clean. read more

I used to come here for my lunch break when I worked in the area, always had to get one small chicken and one small beef. They are delicious and they also sell styrofoam cups full of bomb gravy. Something happened here. This once excellent eatery used to have a product with a crisp crust with real chicken pieces mixed with chopped up potatoes, onion and carrots, And seasoning. Excellent! Now the crust is mushy, the chicken tastes like smashed mystery meat..,Maybe chicken? Buying them frozen is a bad idea being the instructions are incorrect. Reheating amplifies the bad taste. Dear owner, please go back to the old recipes for your potato and macaroni salads. You need to use the same supplier for ingredients too. What you are serving now I wouldn't feed to my dog. Look at this mess. Pasta undercooked. Dry. Under seasoned. It used to be so good. Now it's so bad. Pasties, while the filling is still right, the dough is over neaded(sp?) and too thin. I saw someone post about the thanksgiving patsy they were eating in a reel and it looked so bomb. I went in to order and noticed that this isn't a sit down type of place. Envision more of a grab and go counter area. I inquired with the staff working there at the time what the most popular patsy to eat was and he mentioned that the beef patsy is the best. I ended up getting one beef patsy and one chicken patsy. The beef patsy was my favorite. I feel the chicken patsy had a bit too much potato. The best way I can describe what a patsy is would be that it's kinda like a chicken pot pie but in a handheld form. When you order they cook your order right there and they also sell frozen patsy if you would like to take any home. This is my favorite spot for a quick yet filling snack! I'm a creature of habit so I get the chicken pot pie and chicken gravy every time. It's very cheap but tastes like much more than they charge for. The small is enough to fill you up for a bit but they also offer a large which is great for a dinner! I haven't done so yet, but they also offer frozen pot pies to take home. One day I will try one of those limited time holiday pies (perhaps this year)! I believe they are only select days and they probably run out quick so go earlier in the day. It's a small shop with 2-3 tables around the side so don't expect a whole thing with a big group.
