Honestly, I wouldn't recommend. Service wise, it was great. But the food was mediocre at best. I wish I listened to the person who told us to go somewhere else because we could have spent the money elsewhere. The best thing we bought was the watermelon salad. I came here for a quick meal and El Jardin was the perfect spot. Service was quick, and the restaurant is in a beautiful location right between the trees on Santana Row. I ordered the Cucumber Margarita first, and it was so good I had to stop myself from getting a second one. I never get margaritas because I don't like salt rims, but our server Jose was nice enough to switch it to tajín for me. Next was the esquite. I was not super happy with it because it came with tajín instead of spice (chile en polvo). It is more of a corn side than an actual esquite. That's my only concern though, everything else was perfect. The Sopes were soft and filling. I loved the taste of the thick sope masa, and it was filled to the top with tender beef and chicken. Perfect! Lastly, I had the churros with cajeta. I am so glad they included real cajeta instead of just a caramel topping. Cajeta tastes so much better! Have been here twice now and both times I have really enjoyed the service and the ambiance. It is a really cute outdoor restaurant with plenty of seating and shaded areas. They have plenty of food and drink options to choose from, mainly Mexican dishes. I tried their ceviche and Caesar salad along with one of their drinks. Everything was delicious and well presented. Perfect for pictures! I most recently went to watch a World Cup game, they have plenty of tv's around and the staff were all friendly and helpful. When you go to a "Tequila Bar" you shouldn't be looking for some deep cultural connection. That being said, the ambiance is top notch; comfortable shaded seating, in the center of the walking mall, so good breezes, too. The food was actually pretty good; we had guacamole and chicken flautas, which were good enough to order again. The service was a hit short staffed, as with everywhere else, so it's a bit spotty. People were lining up more than an hour before than game started just to get a coveted spot at the bar, which provided a lively and exciting environment to watch the game. They even brought in many more Tv screens to accommodate the demand. Not sure if they do that for other major sporting finals too. The drinks were typical pricing for the area but the VALUE was amazing. Some of the strongest cocktails we've had at a restaurant in a long time. Would definitely recommend the margarita pitchers! Finally got to try this place after so many years of having it bookmarked. I've always loved the general vibes of the restaurant and its cute ambiance. The food itself was good, we only had a couple appetizers and tacos. The guacamole and ceviche itself both tasted great. Our only complaint was the chips that came with. They tasted stale, like store bought bag left open on counter stale. But luckily we had an amazing server Jesus who took our feedback and raised it to management and took care of it. Unfortunately, the food here is just okay, mainly due to the price. They have a fairly limited menu and the star is probably the tacos, ranging from $7-$9 a piece. The meat is reasonably juicy, but nothing crazy. We also tried their guacamole and ceviche, which felt fairly generic with a not so generous portion size. AMBIANCE I have to say it's a beautiful place to dine with the lights and energy of Santana Row around you outside. They have heat lamps during the cold months that surrounded the table for our group so I felt comfortably warm. SERVICE was ok. I think the guy we had might have been new because plates were left on our table for too long after we finished eating and were not cleared before dessert came out for the birthday girl we were there to celebrate for. FOOD is more expensive because you are paying to be at Santana Row. The food I had for the queso birrias were good! Churros were good too. They add tip for larger groups already. Beware!!!! Came to El Jardin for drinks with no reservation around 7pm on a Friday and got seated right away for party of 3, our table is the closest one to the live band, lucky us. If you enjoy outdoor seating, upbeat music, and dancing, this place is definitely for you. Both of my friends ordered Jardin Margarita (Cadillac) and Tropical Margarita, I did took a sip from their drinks and it was good, but more on the sweeter, fruity side. As a Vodka girlie, I went ahead and ordered myself a Midnight Melon, to be honest it tasted like grape juice for me. From the 2nd round, I switched up to their classic Cosmopolitan and I prefer that way more than my first drink. All the drinks that I had for the night was solid. Service was slow at first, it took a while for our first and second drinks to came out but that is understandable because this place got packed as the night goes on. The music was good but really loud, we enjoyed listening to the band playing and ended up on the dance floor around our 3rd round of drinks. It was a fun night out with my friends at El Jardin and we stayed until they closed. The only downside was no restroom at the restaurant, you have to walk to the public restroom in SR to use it. read more

Came here for drinks with no reservations around 4 pm on a Saturday there was a ton of seating and was seated immediatle with my choice of high top or table seating. My waiter was very attentive to us and although my partner and I were only there for drinks. We got 4 drinks and paid around $60 so I do think drinks are a little pricey but loved the atmosphere. Music was playing nearby and I loved seeing how dog friendly this place is. Definitely want to come out with my dog next time. Although I didn't try the food it smelt great. They even had photographers and we paid $20 for one picture which is usual standard at places. Overall I'll definitely go back. Walked by this outdoor space a million times on Santana Row and finally decided to eat there. I'm not drinking alcohol currently so they made me a virgin Pina Colada it was good with coconut flakes on top. The drinks came out fast but the food was slow to come out. Visited this spot for the first time tonight and I wasn't impressed at all. The food was pretty mediocre and no one walked away feeling full or satisfied. The quesabirria tacos I got were really dry and the consume had no flavor at all. The side of beans with cheese also had zero flavor. The one positive I will say though is the mango cocktail was pretty refreshing and had the right amount of spice and kick to it. I also really liked the chamoy straw they give you with it. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely it's an outdoor spot with a great energy that makes you want to stay longer. Even though it was a short visit, the service was amazing. They were fast and attentive, which was perfect since we were on a tight schedule. We didn't have time to dive into their huge list of mixed drinks or try the food this time around; we just grabbed a quick tequila shot to kick off the night.
