Update: 9/9/26 I received a response from them with a link to complete a form. The link was incorrect due to an extra space, which I figured out. I completed the form as requested, and a week later--zero response. What a waste of time and a very poor look for a business to publicly appear concerned, yet provide absolutely no follow-through. Sadly, it seems more about appearances than actually addressing customer concerns. Unfortunately using "Update" does not keep my original review--so here are my highlights which I originally gave 2 stars: - watered down drinks - no bathroom - no "real indoor" seating --just covered - super loud music, which is fine most of the time, just not all the time... - nickel and dime ya, asked for some extra salsa and they charged a $1, seriously...!

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend. Service wise, it was great. But the food was mediocre at best. I wish I listened to the person who told us to go somewhere else because we could have spent the money elsewhere. The best thing we bought was the watermelon salad. The environment was fun but for $478, I am sure we could have found other places that were just as fun but with better food. I wouldn't come back.
Our first time visiting this establishment. The hostess was very greeting. The waitress Lina was on her "game" she listened very well, our order was just right. She's very friendly and professional and very knowledgeable about the menu. Being outdoors was amazing with this summer heat. Carne' asada tacos were so good- I ate more than I should have. lol
I'm newer to the Bay Area and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat after some shopping in Santana Row. I love the ambiance and vibe here, it's very nice - tons of greenery, people enjoying themselves, outdoor, and I saw a DJ setting up around the time we were leaving. Our eyes were much larger than our stomachs so we tried the asada fries, ceviche and guacamole - everything was delicious! I'd recommend to anyone for a quick bite and drinks after some shopping.
I came here for a quick meal and El Jardin was the perfect spot. Service was quick, and the restaurant is in a beautiful location right between the trees on Santana Row. I ordered the Cucumber Margarita first, and it was so good I had to stop myself from getting a second one. I never get margaritas because I don't like salt rims, but our server Jose was nice enough to switch it to tajín for me. Next was the esquite. I was not super happy with it because it came with tajín instead of spice (chile en polvo). It is more of a corn side than an actual esquite. That's my only concern though, everything else was perfect. The Sopes were soft and filling. I loved the taste of the thick sope masa, and it was filled to the top with tender beef and chicken. Perfect! Lastly, I had the churros with cajeta. I am so glad they included real cajeta instead of just a caramel topping. Cajeta tastes so much better! The churros were perfectly thick, soft on the inside, and crispy. I definitely will be returning!
Have been here twice now and both times I have really enjoyed the service and the ambiance. It is a really cute outdoor restaurant with plenty of seating and shaded areas. They have plenty of food and drink options to choose from, mainly Mexican dishes. I tried their ceviche and Caesar salad along with one of their drinks. Everything was delicious and well presented. Perfect for pictures! I most recently went to watch a World Cup game, they have plenty of tv's around and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Service was fast and they accommodated us even though we didn't have a reservation.

So disappointing :( food also took incredibly long to arrive where we had to ask for an update. // Scarlet mocktail Zero proof gin alternative with blood orange and ginger. Sounded tasty and fruity but nothing impressive. Felt very bland. I tasted the ginger but not much of the blood orange. // Guacamole (+ chips) Probably the best dish I tried, which is sad to admit. The guac was definitely fresh and zesty. Good portion of guac to chips but for $18, definitely pricey. // Carne Asada tacos I think this tacos was the "best" from the 3 kinds we ordered but still nothing special. // Birria (lamb stew) tacos Also nothing special. Felt a bit too salty // Gobernador (shrimp) tacos I thought I'd like these the best but still very average. Came with cheese inside the tortillas. My friend recommended this place for the ceviche, which we came specifically for. So sad to hear they had none on a Friday night at 5pm during Happy Hour. Tacos were 3 for the price of 2 during Happy Hour but I don't think I'd get them again. We also waited close to 35 minutes for our food and had to ask the waiter for an update. I do like the vibes of the outdoor setting. When weather is good, it's felt like a great atmosphere. Hoping I can update my review another time when I can try the ceviche!
When you go to a "Tequila Bar" you shouldn't be looking for some deep cultural connection. That being said, the ambiance is top notch; comfortable shaded seating, in the center of the walking mall, so good breezes, too. The food was actually pretty good; we had guacamole and chicken flautas, which were good enough to order again. The service was a hit short staffed, as with everywhere else, so it's a bit spotty. We just chilled, enjoyed the live music and had a great visit. In a hurry? Go to McDonald's.
We came here for the FIFA World Cup finals and the vibes were immaculate!! People were lining up more than an hour before than game started just to get a coveted spot at the bar, which provided a lively and exciting environment to watch the game. They even brought in many more Tv screens to accommodate the demand. Not sure if they do that for other major sporting finals too. The drinks were typical pricing for the area but the VALUE was amazing. Some of the strongest cocktails we've had at a restaurant in a long time. Would definitely recommend the margarita pitchers! We thought some of the food was a bit overpriced and nothing too special. Would recommend ordering the nachos for the table to snack on.
Nice and popular place at Santana Row to have drink and small bites. It is a place to hang out with friends or office workers. The place is open air bae which is nice . It has full bar service with alcohol and non alcohol drink. Beside drink you can also order small bites. You will feel like you are somewhere on break and enjoy the moment. This place get very busy. This time I ordered all the mocktail they have on menu and the one I likes are meno machas and rocinate. Tacos and churros are yummy. It was relaxing and fun evening.
Mid tacos :( they came out lukewarm. I got the carne asada and the meat was really dry. Shrimp taco flavor was not really my vibe. The guac felt like it was out of a container. Outdoor vibes are cute though. Service was alright.
I like the outside vibe with the lit up tree with lanterns, the dj played some pretty cool 90s music. The food is mediocre. Service & drinks was okay. Overall, it's a decent place to hang out.

Come here for the vibes, not the food Like many people, we were drawn in by the outdoor seating, live music, and festive atmosphere. This place is always popping at night on the weekend. Unfortunately, the food here is just okay, mainly due to the price. They have a fairly limited menu and the star is probably the tacos, ranging from $7-$9 a piece. The meat is reasonably juicy, but nothing crazy. We also tried their guacamole and ceviche, which felt fairly generic with a not so generous portion size. My main qualm is that the food is overpriced and the service is pretty lacking too, mainly due to understaffing. read more

Our team had such a great lunch celebration with Teodora and her team yesterday. We were seated along the walkway, plenty of space to mingle among each other and all our needs and requests were met without hesitation. We even had the El Jardin staff sing happy birthday to our manager! We all felt treated as VIPs above and beyond. The food was great and I especially like the mariscos and el Jardin nachos. AMBIANCE I have to say it's a beautiful place to dine with the lights and energy of Santana Row around you outside. They have heat lamps during the cold months that surrounded the table for our group so I felt comfortably warm. SERVICE was ok. I think the guy we had might have been new because plates were left on our table for too long after we finished eating and were not cleared before dessert came out for the birthday girl we were there to celebrate for. FOOD is more expensive because you are paying to be at Santana Row. The food I had for the queso birrias were good! Churros were good too. They add tip for larger groups already. Beware!!!! There is a $25 cake cutting fee if you bring your own cake. read more

Review on drinks and ambiance. Came on a Saturday night, they had live music performing salsa music. Amazing ambiance with their lights which provide a beautiful atmosphere. Ordered two drinks. The tropical margaritas and don quixote. Both were delicious drinks, and just enough sweetness and not too strong. The servers are nice and attentive. Would come back with friend to enjoy drinks with live music. Did not order food. So cannot review that. read more

Came to El Jardin for drinks with no reservation around 7pm on a Friday and got seated right away for party of 3, our table is the closest one to the live band, lucky us. If you enjoy outdoor seating, upbeat music, and dancing, this place is definitely for you. Both of my friends ordered Jardin Margarita (Cadillac) and Tropical Margarita, I did took a sip from their drinks and it was good, but more on the sweeter, fruity side. As a Vodka girlie, I went ahead and ordered myself a Midnight Melon, to be honest it tasted like grape juice for me. From the 2nd round, I switched up to their classic Cosmopolitan and I prefer that way more than my first drink. All the drinks that I had for the night was solid. Service was slow at first, it took a while for our first and second drinks to came out but that is understandable because this place got packed as the night goes on. The music was good but really loud, we enjoyed listening to the band playing and ended up on the dance floor around our 3rd round of drinks. It was a fun night out with my friends at El Jardin and we stayed until they closed. The only downside was no restroom at the restaurant, you have to walk to the public restroom in SR to use it. read more
Came here for drinks with no reservations around 4 pm on a Saturday there was a ton of seating and was seated immediatle with my choice of high top or table seating. My waiter was very attentive to us and although my partner and I were only there for drinks. We got 4 drinks and paid around $60 so I do think drinks are a little pricey but loved the atmosphere. Music was playing nearby and I loved seeing how dog friendly this place is. Definitely want to come out with my dog next time. Although I didn't try the food it smelt great. They even had photographers and we paid $20 for one picture which is usual standard at places. Overall I'll definitely go back. We had 4 drinks, Mexican twister 7/10, tropical margarita 8/10, roasted jalapeño margarita 7/10 and midnight melon 5/10. read more
The restaurant has a great vibe and is a decent place to go out with friends for drinks. The food is good, but you could find better options at other local restaurants for lower prices. I visited at night and it was very busy, so the food took a while to come out. They definitely seem busier in the evenings, so plan accordingly. Overall, it is a decent spot to stop by, but the main highlight is the atmosphere and drinks. For the price, I would recommend skipping the food and just coming for drinks. read more
Walked by this outdoor space a million times on Santana Row and finally decided to eat there. I'm not drinking alcohol currently so they made me a virgin Pina Colada it was good with coconut flakes on top. The drinks came out fast but the food was slow to come out. I'm glad I wasn't hungry just wanted a snack or I might be annoyed. I got the steak and shrimp taco and it was okay really small for the high price. Overall I would just come here for drinks not the food and it's a very lively fun atmosphere with a big group or just by yourself at the bar. read more

A quick bite to eat this past Friday evening, the music and weather were perfect! We were sat on the outside of the restaurant, it was a little chilly but they had heaters out there which made it nice. We ordered a chicken quesedilla, ice tea , ceviche, margarita, and some chips and salsa. Enjoyed the live music. Food came out in good timing, waiter seemed bothered coming out to the end tables but it might have been a busy day for them. read more
My friend and I stopped by El Jardin for a quick drink before heading off to a reservation at a Brazilian steakhouse. We were only there for a few minutes, but it left a great impression! The atmosphere is absolutely lovely it's an outdoor spot with a great energy that makes you want to stay longer. Even though it was a short visit, the service was amazing. They were fast and attentive, which was perfect since we were on a tight schedule. We didn't have time to dive into their huge list of mixed drinks or try the food this time around; we just grabbed a quick tequila shot to kick off the night. The quality was great, and the presentation of the bar area is top-tier. I'll definitely be coming back when I have more time to properly explore their tequila selection and menu. Guac had a preserved almost slightly bitter aftertaste. Birria was dry. Shrimp empanadas and churros were pretty good. Servers were pretty good. Only main good thing going here is the nice outdoor ambiance and music. Definitely would NOT come here for good for at all. read more

I've never seen different eating areas. It's all outside patio style dining to me. There is also the option to sit at the bar.
