The placement of the embroidery had to be carefully sewn onto the clothing, using an identical color of sewing thread. When I arrived at the shop, I was greeted by Leo at the front counter. After seeing the clothing, Leo took the time to position the embroidery on the clothing. He told me the clothing would be ready for pick-up the following day. When I picked-up the clothing a day later, I noticed the embroidery needed some very minor adjustments. So Leo asked me to wait at the shop for a few minutes so he could complete the proper adjustments to the embroidery. Once again, service was very fast and all of the work was completed to my satisfaction. Great customer service! Everything looked fantastic! Thank you to Leo! LOCATION. Leonardo's Tailor Shop is located in a street level business strip at the corner of Baker Street and Enterprise Street in Costa Mesa (see photos from my past review). Since these were expensive, I really wanted to make sure they would be altered with care (I also figured it might be a complicated job given the changes I needed). I first went to Lisha Tailoring, and I was dismissed pretty quickly- she didn't want to do what I asked and so I went back to Mesa Tailors. Once I arrived at Mesa, she took the time to listen to me and agreed to make the changes I asked for. I picked them up today and they fit like a glove! Her pricing is fair and her tailoring is fabulous. She even lowered the price because the alteration took less time than she anticipated and I really appreciate her honesty too! (I found this place after a yelp search) I saw photos and reviews of future brides literally trusting this place with the most important clothing item in the world.. their wedding dress At my first visit, I brought in a Versace cape. it was on sale, except it was 3 sizes too big. I was a little nervous since this cape did have embroidery and heavy detail on the sides, so I knew it was going to be hard to do, but she said it wouldn't be a huge issue. But she did see it immediately and pointed out she could only take it in so much so it didn't ruin the embroidery pattern. She gave me a quote that was under 100 dollars (so, it was totally worth buying on sale even though I knew it was 3 sizes too big and would need altered) (she literally saved me thousands) She called me about 2-3 days later for pick up, and she knocked it out of the park I came back in for more alterations and I was immediately greeted by the owner,Kim, who is so warm and friendly. I had a moth destroy a couple of sweaters that had holes in them - very high end label cashmere. Knitwear Dr is an older couple that have been in the community for a very long time and they're extremely nice so they get five stars for that however - I waited one entire year for her to fix four sweaters.... The repairs are also NOT 100% at Knitwear Dr - you can see where she repaired the holes. I had Knit alteration and design (another repair shop located in WA) fix some of the other sweaters that I had.... And they turned out beautiful. The Washington shop re-knit the holes and you can't even tell!! The sweaters look brand new and you can ship the sweaters to her WA shop. Sandy will fix them and ship them back within a 2 to 3 month period. If you're going to consider Knitwear Dr, you should consider the other place for a better repair. at a more reasonable time frame.
