1lb (allegedly) shrimp with side of sausage
    Vanni T.

The food came out quickly but I highly doubt my "1lb shrimp" order was actually a full pound. ALSO, the side of sausage was NOT worth $4 bc the portion was tiny. Chalk it up to casino prices, it worked in a pinch. If we didn't have such a great parking spot at Harrah's, we def would've gone somewhere else.

These people (owner was cooking and serving) gave me 8 shrimps, with a plate full of fries and 2 fingers nail size hush puppies for a total of $24.60. So if you like to be cheated with a smile and love paying $2 per shrimp then go to this place. This is theft at its finest stage.

    Catfish Dish!

We have eaten at 3 restaurants at Harrahs here in Biloxi. Last evening The Magnolia House 3 stars This morning Mix and Mingle 4 stars This afternoon Port 5 stars The most expensive restaurant had 3 stars the medium priced 4 stars and the least expensive 5 stars. First off all employees from each restaurant were very good and friendly. However, Logan was the best and was gracious enough to tout his restaurant through explaining the different offerings and being exceptionally pleasant. The other servers were good as well but he was the best We ordered the Catfish dish that has 6 pieces of catfish perfectly deep fried in fresh oil and thick and meaty along with hush puppies and fries Tartar sauce and cocktail sauce.!The platter came out piping hot and fed the two of us. We said WOW!! the thing weren't able to say eating at Thanksgiving Magnolia House. Harrahs Great Job. Spend some time at the Magnolia house and evaluate the limited menu to ensure it is tasty and come out hot. In the meantime I'll be eating at Port. Going to try the Beach Wik tonight. I bet it is just as good as the Port 17 will let you know.

    Great chicken wings!

What they make here are not your run of the mill grocery store cakes. That's why they are not cheap, but cut into one and you'll see what you paid for. Just picking up the box you can expect a good ten or more pounds because of how much stuff they put into them. Their cakes are dense and fancy. Our recent order was for the Chocolate Bavarian Cream cake, which comes with layers of chocolate cake, strawberries, cream, and more. The 10 inch cake was upwards of $80, but I think it is worth every penny for the pure decadence of it all. We've ordered it several times over the years and it is always a hit at birthday parties. I also usually get my wife an order of their chocolate covered strawberries on Valentine's Day, because they put a lot of attention to detail and always use large, plump fruit. They often put the same strawberries on some of their cakes. In addition to custom orders, they maintain an inventory of smalls from cookies to mini versions of their cakes, so you can walk in and try out various stuff. They also serve coffee inside, so it's a great place to pick up a sweet treat on the way home from work.

My favorite is here is the little mini cakes (Bavarian and Chocolate) can't ever go wrong with these but during Mardigras season they also do a fabulous French style king cake (cream cheese plus pecan please). The owners are friendly and the service is quick, know that you will always get quality pastries when you visit here!

I know it may not seem like it. As you pull up to park in the front. Few spots are reserved for handicap parking spots. And a ramp leading to the front door. Do not be discouraged. They have plenty of parking space next door. As you walk in, the fresh smell of baked goods fill the air. They offer so many different options for delicious food. If you wish to wet your whistle. They have many different drink combinations. I do not know how long they have been offering King Cake. They have mentioned they have sold out for the day. They suggest that if you wish to acquire one. They only bake so many cakes daily. Try to come as early as possible. I was disappointed that missed the opportunity to grab a cake. I could not leave empty handed. I declined to get the Taro milk tea this time. I instead picked up a cinnamon roll and cream cheese roll. They just brought them out and so I had to get them. The cream cheese roll is freshly baked with some sort of soft dessert dough. It is layered with cream cheese frosting and chocolate frosting too. It tastes really good and not too sweet. The coconut cinnamon roll is freshly baked. The has hint of cinnamon and raisins found in the roll. Of course it tastes delicious with that pillow soft sweet dough. With light sprinkling of freshly shredded coconut on top. They taste so great! So delicious and sweet. You cannot wait to take your goods home to indulge. They do offer few outdoor tables on the side. Definitely recommend it if you are in the mood and the weather permits. Also happen to grab a batch of rolls since they just baked them too. The smell was intoxicating! No Wi-Fi as far as I can see. No military discount at this time. Be sure to pick out something delicious to eat or drink.

We stopped in for a Banh Mi (the pork one was perfectly seasoned, loaded with fresh veggies and herbs on that incredible house-made French bread), and it was hands-down one of the best sandwiches I've had on the coast. The pastries are super fresh--grabbed a croissant and a coconut yucca pie, both flaky, flavorful, and not overly sweet. They also have bubble tea and pork buns that looked tempting (next time!). The staff is friendly and the vibe feels welcoming and authentic. It's very popular always with a line, so go early--things sell out fast, and there can be a line. That said, it's worth it for the quality and value. Definitely coming back whenever I'm in town! Highly recommend if you're craving something unique and delicious. 4 stars only because I wish they had more more treats to select from. If you decide to go later day be prepared to have selective left over choice in the display case.
