This establishment is next to a park. It was such a nice find, right after dropping off the boy I came to enjoy a hot oat milk latte with a splash of cafe de olla house made syrup. Friendly staff and strong coffee. I will return.

It's hard to find good 4th wave type single origin coffee in LA unless you're in the pocket of DTLA, Echo Park and out west towards Santa Monica. It's great to see Patria in this part of town that has great quality single origin coffee. Located alongside the Alameda Corridor, you wouldn't expect such a place in a semi industrial area. The cold brew here serving up coffee beans from Nicaragua was smooth and refreshing. Seating here somewhat minimal with patrons on their computers and chilling. While you're here, check out the Kobe/Gianna mural next door at Wilson Park and the defunct skatepark.

Was in the mood for some coffee before work but did not want to get st*rbucks. Wanted something more niche and found this place! I ordered a hot Cafe de Olla Latte w/ oatmilk, and it did not disappoint. It's a cafe where you would want to come in & sit down to get some work/studying done because it's cozy and the service is great!

Cute lil spot, was down the street waiting on some food and good ole yelp led me to patria. Service is good, love the decor, homage to the people, local vendors set up and they have their own organic beans. I should have ordered my regular vanilla latte and then I looked at my what they are known for the cafe de olla, so I ordered a warm 1 shot of espresso cafe de olla latte ... it needed to be a lil sweeter for me, it was strong. I will certainly be back and order a VL. Uhhhh I also got their ham and cheese croissant, bomb! French cheese and ham, yummy.

Incredible cafe in Compton! My friends and I stopped here on our way through town, and we were not disappointed. This local spot was super busy, with customers and their pets everywhere. I loved the bearded dragon!! I loved the equality support billboards and local business support. There was also a nice little library section. The coffee was amazing, and the workers seemed really nice. Great spot and would come again.

This was a super small cafe! Parking was super limited and the cafe was not busy. The staff were super friendly and the service was extremely fast. We ordered the Vanilla Bean Iced Latte and the Hazelnut Iced Latte and both were really tasty. They both had a lot of flavor, but the vanilla latte could have been a bit more creamy! When we got there they didn't have a great selection of snack items to choose from so we only got the coffee. This cafe is a bit far from us so we unfortunately wouldn't be back unless we were in the area, but we are glad that we went to try it out!

This coffee shop is located right by the court house and in the Compton neighborhood There's plenty of parking outside There's lots of space to sit to chat or work inside The aesthetic is clean, and lots of plants inside. For a small local coffee shop They have a good selection of coffees, teas, and pastries. I got the cafe de olla iced with oat milk It was so delicious too the last drop. It was creamy, nice hint of cardamom I will definitely be back!

When I arrived I was greeted by Ellie, at the door who was actually hanging a yelp sticker on the window. She was very nice and pleasant. I was unsure of what to order and so I explained to her the flavor I was looking for, and she was able to tell me what to order and how to enhance the flavor that I was looking for. I ordered the Ibarra Mex Mocha with a splash of vanilla. It was perfect, not bitter and not sweet just perfect. Also ordered a croissant, I believe it was the everything croissant, which was outstanding. The ambience was nice and trendy. It did not feel like Compton. It felt like an Echo Park or Eagle Rock atmosphere. Way better than Starbucks.

First time visit to the coffee shop and will definitely be returning back. The vibe and aesthetic of the place gave positive vibes. The barista Stephanie was such great help. She took the time to explain the options with detail. She recommended the iced latte with cafe de olla flavor with a coffee bread. Both were flavorful! During my time there, I got to talked to two firefighters from Compton. They had everyone talking and laughing. Loved that they took the time to take to each customer there. There is things I support my wife with that she enjoys. But, buying from here. Not so much. Expensive cups with a sticker in the center. Lack of atmosphere. It's a Store/Jumba Juice. If you are a anime fanatic or want a nice cup. Look elsewhere. Something nicer than stuff they sell here. read more

Tastiest coffee I've had in some time. IMO when you drink it black, you're more liable to be able to tell the difference between serious coffee, and coffee pretending to be serious. This stuff was serious about being serious. After drinking a red eye, I found myself arranging moments in time at will: "this works well here, and this'll feel nice right about here." My country, my nation, my anthem all swelled and triumphed over the forces of bigotry and evil. Folks began emerging from 4 years of fight or flight into a new era of confidence & prosperity, and I was right there with them. read more

Love coming here! It's a great community based coffee shop. Patria serves an amazingly authentic coffee in which they roast the beans in house along with pastry goods also baked in house. The baristas here are friendly and attentive. They create a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels comforting . My online orders are always made on time and in-store orders are relatively made quickly as well. The only thing to take note of is that on Saturdays they host the Compton run club so it gets pretty busy and the parking lot gets full. But definitely a gem here in our neighborhood. read more

A friend and I love trying new coffee spots in hopes of finding little gems to share with one another and today we found a gem! Patria is a small shop, but it's great! It's homey and welcoming. There is one large table in the center of the shop, and a small on against the glass storefront. I had been craving a latte, and decided to try the cafe de olla latte; it did not disappoint! It was just the right amount of sweet and creamy goodness to satisfy the craving. If you've had cafe de olla, it tastes just like that, but a bit more milky. SO. GOOD. my friend had a cortado that she was very happy with. We sat at the long table, music played in the background and we played Uno and conversed over a cup of coffee. This is a great spot, and I will definitely be back to try more of the drinks Patria offers! By the time we had arrived there were only a few pastries, so hopefully the next time I make it out there I'll be able to try one of those! My review will strictly be on what I ordered: Ibarra Mocha - I got this with whole milk, less sweet, + extra shot of espresso. Wow, if you are familiar with Ibarra chocolate, this is a must. Even if you've never tried Ibarra chocolate, it has such a unique and warm flavor that makes this mocha unique and easy to like. Chai Iced Tea - I opted for oat milk and less sweet. I prefer my chai with more of a spice and much warmer in flavor than what Patria serves. The drink was still good, however I would consider this a great "ease into chai" if you've never tried chai before. The less sweet option still left this drink to be perfectly sweet. Mazapan Concha - Not sure if this is made here or if they get it from a local bakery or warehouse, however this was not good. It was very dry and dense, like a 3-day day old dense white cake. Maybe the one I got was old? Coffee Cake - I'd say this coffee cake was less than the average coffee cake. Not bad, however I was craving that classic buttery and crumbly sweet topping. OVERALL: Great place and solid neighborhood gem. read more

This place is a hidden gem! The shop itself is super welcoming and the baristas were so sweet. I had a vanilla latte with oat milk and it was absolutely perfect in consistency and flavor. There's not too much seating outside but a good amount inside for solo people and small groups. They also stock a mean coffee cake, but it sells out quick so you need to be on it to get a slice. Overall a great place to study/read. read more

Very pleasant environment. A large table to work, study or just chill. I went on a Friday morning and just chilled. I ordered a vegan coffee cake. This cake was very moist and provided by Whistful pastries. There were 3 different options. I drank the vanilla latte hot. It was great. The staff greeted everyone that walked in and was patient with explaining the very small menu. Patria Coffee may be new in Compton, but they are roasting coffee and welcoming you in with an old school fashion! I am so glad to have found this place only 8 weeks after they opened! The beans are roasted in house and Stephen and Jordan are amazing baristas. I tried the Cafe de Olla latte with their recommendation. The latte has a hint of cinnamon and a smooth finish. They have wifi too! Next time you are around, skip the chains and trust me to check out this place! You may just see me with a latte in hand! read more

This place is right around the block from my house and I decided to go give this place a try especially because I've had this same coffee from the Nest. I ordered a iced mocha with almond milk, it was delicious. The barista told me they incorporate chocolate abuelita and you can literally taste it. This place is great and I will be going back. The customer service was good. The only thing I would say about this place would be the options they have for milk. Barista stated they only have whole milk and almond. It would be nice for the lactose community if Patria could incorporate other choices other than almond milk, that would be really nice. read more

The latte coffee was okay, I think because it was room temperature. The cashier was a young girl who was super nice and helpful, but her co-worker; a guy making the drinks, wasn't the nicest. When asked a question he was straight forward. But I am not sure if he has an issue with Hispanic people because when other people would walk in that weren't Hispanic he would be super nice and talkative. I love the vibe in there and the art was great. read more

Patria Coffee Roasters is my uncle coffee shop with a fantastic selection of coffees on bar & filter. The matcha is sweet & milky, the espresso is top notch! The energy here is always like a second home especially when Yoshawn serves me. His latte art Is some of the best I've ever seen & he's a genuinely nice guy with lots of knowledge & just a good buddy to talk with. The vegan pastries are incredible, the cappuccinos here are my go to drink. I hope in the future they could over cold brew, pour overs & espresso tonics! Very nice place! Hidden away from the beaten path, a very pleasant surprise awaits. Nice clean ambienceThe coffee is excellent and the vegan coffee cake is delish and fresh. Steven is friendly. I'll be back! Geoffrey the owner is very kind and friendly. I also love the mocha (hot or iced) and the cappuccino. Great place. Update: My new favorite is the Lavender Hibiscus Iced Tea. Staff is fantastic and friendly. Coffee is delicious - nice caramel flavor. Mocha is not too sweet - well balanced. Kids' hot cocoa is delicious. My daughter loved the designs. Whole milk, almond milk, coconut milk available. Come check it out! read more

Talk about great customer service. Yoshawn was amazing, asked all the right questions when we asked for a recommendation. We were indecisive and he was very patient with us making sure we had a personalized experience. I ended up ordering a Matcha Vanilla Tea latte with Oat Milk. My wife ordered a Cafe De Olla also with Oatmilk. They also had Vegan friendly Cofee Cake which I wasn't expecting. The drinks were also amazing, not too sweet, but with a lot of flavor. I am not from the area but this is definitely a Hidden Gem for us and next time we are visiting family we will make this a morning stop. read more

I make a far drive to come here to see the fantastic baristas, Nestor and Yosean(?). Everything I've had from here from iced mochas and doppio espressos has been DELICIOUS! Just found this place - it popped up on a top 10 list.. which is insane since I work 5min away.. I said 'screw it' I'm checking it out.. and he'll yeah - its good. Now this is for the coffee lovers.. theyre biggest size is 16oz.. the coffee is roasted on location and ground up for each cup.. so the aroma and flavor really comes thru for each cup.. its pricier than probably what you are use to.. but I enjoyed though. I finally went in to try the coffee, after wanting to try it for so long. The girls at the register were super friendly and helpful when ordering. The barista on the other hand was not in the best mood, and was the complete opposite of the other girls there. We were admiring the espresso machine from afar, and she seemed to get upset that we were looking because she sarcastically responded with "hi" so we stepped back and didn't interact with her anymore. After we finally got our drinks, that we were excited to try, we all really disliked the licorice taste that the coffee beans seem to have. It was unfortunately a miss for us. read more

Still tasted like coffee, not a melted candy bar. I also grabbed some ceremonial matcha green tea powder to go, which was legit and not an afterthought. Behind the shop there are some race cars or high-end sports cars tucked into a garage space, which was kind of perfect. This is the third coffee shop I've seen operating out of a garage setup, and honestly, if that's how you keep rent down and spend the money on good beans (or fast cars), I respect it. You can also see the roasting machine while you wait, which is always cool. They've got a couple of benches outside if you want to sit and actually enjoy your coffee instead of chugging it in traffic. Bottom line: good coffee, good people, no ego. Hands down my favorite coffee shop. All the baristas are very sweet and give great recommendations. They are so patient and sweet! The last time I stopped by I was not in love with the drink, and the barista helped me find a drink that I like, and with no attitude! They also sell their own merch (Tshirts, canvas totes & tumblers!) , books and beautiful plants!
