To people who lives in good neighborhood, please see my proof of Patricia's Price Gouging activities (Update on Aug 12 4:34pm) : After Patricia's people left ( they left because Patricia was afraid of getting a bad review after having me paid $950 for 2 people to clean my house), I called around and found another cleaning services crew who was willing to send 2 cleaning services people, this crew came at noon and left at 4:00pm. It took them FOUR hours to do the same services that Patricia claimed it would take EIGHT HOURS for her crew to do. And this agency only charged me for $380. So there is a price difference of $570 between Patricia and the honest people, this is what I would call :PRICE GOUGING. ************************* Original Post: I am planning to report to the police department about the conduct of unauthorized filming and their suspicious activity because filming the interior of my house without my consent is a suspicious activity, especially plus the gouging nature of her business. This was a funny experience. Patricia gave me a quote of $335 based on the my information. Her 2 people crew arrived today and told me they need to take another look. So I gave them a tour, neither of them informed me that they were FILMING my house. The lady did the filming was holding the phone up but she had her phone cover closed. After they finished the casing my house, I found out that they were actually filming instead of talking on the phone with Patricia. Then Patricia changed the services price from $335 to $950 dollar, which is approximately THREE TIMES more from her original quote. I was fine with that, but I told her "for this price, they have need to do a good job. Otherwise, I will need to leave a bad review." She heard that and then quickly declined the job, claiming that I am threatening them. When I told her that her people is filming my house without my consent, she didn't apologize for her employee's rude and illegal conduct either. First of all, if you are afraid of customer leaving a bad review, don't show your business on Yelp at the first place. I contacted Patricia after the company that was supposed to come to do a move out cleaning cancelled on us last minute. She arrived to our house within 30 minutes of us speaking, and quotes us. The rate was very fair! Since we needed a deep cleaning, she said that she needed two more people whom also arrived within the hour that she started cleaning. They all delivered a great service, all were so friendly, and even helped is finish packing as we have an infant and it was hard for us! They cleaned fast and did not waste time either. I'd give them ten stars if I could. Short review: Excellent cleaning, above and beyond customer service, straightforward communication, reasonable cost, total professionals. Long review: Moving is stressful. Our latest move was a full-on disaster due to an incompetent moving service. In contrast to that, Patricia's Cleaning Service was an incredible help during a very stressful time. We contracted them to do a Move Out cleaning and the TL;DR result was that we received our entire security deposit back from our landlord due in no small part to PCS. When Patricia and I discussed the services we would need, she was very clear in itemizing all of the different tasks that her crew would undertake (other cleaning services just quoted a price). When I communicated how challenging the move had been because of the moronic movers, Patricia was empathetic and understanding, flexible with the services offered, and perhaps most importantly, offered a much-appreciated kind word to a very stressed-out person at a very stressful time. The cleaning made our old place look brand new and the cleaning crew went above and beyond what was asked to make the process much easier. I broke a cherished piece of artwork that the moronic moving company somehow forgot to pack, resulting in broken glass everywhere. Samuel, a member of the cleaning crew, went above and beyond to clean the excess glass (not part of the contract) and offered kind support and empathy. After searching on Google and Yelp and costing out a move-out cleaning of my soon to be former apartment, I decided to go with Patricia's Cleaning Services. I'm so happy I did. Patricia's arrived on time Saturday morning. We went through the apartment and discussed what needed to be done. ******PRICE GOUGING / RIP OFF ALERT****** I had guests arriving so I planned ahead and scheduled Patricia's Cleaning Service to come to my house the day before to clean. Patricia quoted $245 and I agreed. The house is a 2 bedroom/2 bath house in Lafayette. When the two cleaners arrived they said they had to call Patricia to give a final price. I told them that actually one of the bedrooms doesn't need cleaning. The house was pretty messy because we have a puppy who ripped up a bunch of paper and dug out an indoor plant, but that's just sweeping up. There were dirty dishes in the sink. There was nothing else unusual about the cleaning. After speaking with her crew, Patricia told me that the cleaning would be $750! I told her I wasn't willing to pay that much because I felt that was a rip off. Patricia immediately texted me asking me how much I wanted to pay, and offered to complete the job for the original quote of $245. Patricia tried to scam me. Patricia's company did a great job cleaning our home. Patricia was honest and upfront regarding her quote, and her price was one of the best out of the other services we canvassed on Yelp. Her staff did a great job during the deep clean even cleaning out our refrigerator and the top of the range hood. I have no clue how they managed to reach it! The house was looking spotless at the end of the service. Patricia also set us up for routine cleaning, and she didn't increase the price relative to her initial quote and also didn't try to push a higher frequency of visits on us. Also, her team is willing to do laundry when they come which is definitely a bonus for us. They worked pretty fast as the estimated time was ~40 min earlier than projected and price end up was higher than quoted but still normal range for deep clean. They only take cash or cash via Zelle. If you want to get your house cleaned at a reasonable rate, do not go with Patricia's. We had scheduled a cleaning weeks in advance to clean our house before we moved in. We agreed on a price and were pleased. On the day of the cleaning though, Patricia doubled the price because it was a "post-construction job," despite knowing it was a pre-move in clean (no furniture or anything to impede cleaning). We could not pay that new price, and the cleaners left. We were stranded the day before we moved in with no cleaners, and we ended up needing to take the day off work to clean it ourselves (in far less time than Patricia said her cleaners required). Patricia was rude and tried to extort customers with no other options. I do not recommend using her service. read more
